The Effect of Discomfort Index on Outfielder's Game Record Data (불쾌지수가 외야수의 경기 기록 데이터에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, the correlation between sports records and weather data was analyzed using the big data analysis method. To this end, data was collected by API and crawling, data was processed, statistics were performed, and data visualization was performed. The subject of this study was a player who entered the regular at-bat among outfielders in the 2019 KBO League. In addition, meteorological data were analyzed by using the unpleasant index and above 70 and below 70. As a result of the study, in the various hitting indicators, which are the records that pitchers intervene, the higher the unpleasant index, the better the outfielder's record, but pitchers, walks, pitches, pitching success rates, pitches per turn, pitches per game From the records of the back, it was found that the outfielder made the pitcher difficult. It is expected that this study will help the development of the sports data industry and the performance of baseball players, baseball teams, and coaching staff.

An Analysis of Factors InFluencing Copyright Protection Decision-Making among Korean eSports Game Users (e-스포츠 콘텐츠 이용자들의 저작권보호 의사결정에 대한 영향요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the factors influencing copyright protection decision-making among Korean eSports game users. Data collection was conducted over a month at an eSports arena located in Seoul. Of the surveys collected, 354 valid data (88.5% of response rate) were analyzed in SPSS Ver. 20.0 through descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that copyright protection decision-making regarding eSports contents was significantly influenced by legal/moral norm, perceive group norm, and past habit/behavior. Among the factors, legal/moral norm was found to be the most influential on copyright protection decision-making.

Effect of Leisure Support and Leisure Constraints on Life Satisfaction of Extreme Sports Participants (익스트림 스포츠 참여자의 여가지지가 여가제약과 생활만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The study aimed to effect of leisure support and leisure constraints on life satisfaction for extreme sports participants. A total of 368 adults from Seoul, In-chon, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheng-do were recruited. I conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correction, and structure equaling modeling analyses using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results were as follows: (1) leisure support of extreme sport participants has no influence on leisure constraints; (2) leisure support of extreme sport participants had no influence on life satisfaction; (3) leisure constrain of extreme sports had a positive influence on life satisfaction. The article revealed which sport activity as like leisure activity had influence on life satisfaction, and leisure support of participants were related with life satisfaction. Therefore, we continue need to induce to join a extreme sport as it publicize a good benefits for extreme sport.

  • This study was to find out the actual state of sports activities in the COVID-19 era and ways of improving of sports activities of 697 people ranging from 10s to 60s in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do area. The data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 program. First, as a results, it was found that 61.4% of the current COVID-19 are playing sports. Second, participants in sports are found to enjoy contactless sports such as YouTube training contents, and video PT the most. Third, the COVID-19 situation has been identified as the most influential factor in sports activities. Fourth, the opinion that it would be best to prepare a countermeasure plan for infectious diseases such as COVID-19 as an alternative to revitalize sports activities in the future was the most common. Last, It was reported that institutional and technical efforts were needed to improve sports activities.

A Study on Changes in Future Sports According to the Introduction of Baseball Robot Umpire (야구 로봇 심판 도입에 따른 미래 스포츠 변화에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore changes in future sports by introducing baseball robot umpire. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods, and participants selected five baseball fans who were interested in baseball. The results of the study are as follows. First, baseball fans expressed displeasure with the frequent misjudgment in Korean Professional Baseball game, and doubted the fairness of the umpire's judgment. And repeated misjudgment of professional baseball has contributed to the decline in viewing and viewing of baseball. Second, baseball fans were positive about the introduction of robot umpire as a way to reduce bad calls in baseball games, and considered the accuracy, consistency, and recordability of robot umpire to complement their limitations. Third, the application of baseball robot umpire will serve as a basis for strengthening the fairness and efficiency of baseball games, which will positively change the image of sports. As a result, the introduction of robot umpire in baseball games could exert desirable influence on people and contribute to restoring the ethics of sports and strengthening fairness.

Relationship between the Performance Level and Achievement Goal Orientation on Youth Badminton Players (청소년 배드민턴 선수의 경기력 수준과 성취목표성향의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between performance level and ego orientation and task orientation, which are sub-factors of achievement goal orientation, targeting the Korean youth badminton national team. Accordingly, two null hypotheses were established and tried to verify that there would be no difference in ego orientation and task orientation according to the performance level of the badminton youth representative players. A total of 92 middle and high school students were divided into upper and lower performance groups, and the differences between ego orientation and task orientation were investigated, respectively. For the measurement, We used sports achievement goal orientation (task and ego orientation in a sports questionnaire, TEOSQ). Data were analyzed by performing frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and independent t-test. As a result, there was no statistically significant difference in both the ego orientation and task orientation between the upper and lower groups of performance. We discussed based on the research results.

  • The main objective of this study is to empirically analyze the relationship among the major variables of viewing motivation, audience satisfaction, and behavioral intention in the esports spectatorship based on the uses and gratification theory. Through the exploratory factor analysis, we have identified major motivation measures of esports. Regression analysis also showed key motivation factors on audience satisfaction and behavioral intention.

Performance Analysis of Women's Field Hockey Using GPS (GPS를 활용한 여자 필드하키 경기력 분석)

  • The aim of this study was to compare and analyse the national players between the winning games and the losing ones by classifying the GPS data measured in the competition. 27 players of Korean national team on field hockey had analysed to collect plenty of data by using GPS system in real time on 16 A-matches for this paper. The result was followed: First, it has revealed that the winning games showed that it had played a lot in the rest of the zone except for zone 1 and zone 5 from zone 1 to zone 6. Second, is has also shown that it had a significant differences into the distance between the winning games and the losing ones. Third, there were no significant differences between Low-speed zone (zone 1 to Zone 3) and High-speed zone (zone 4 to zone 6) into the distance but were a significant differences on the number of high-accelerations in a section of accelerations. Last, in the position-specific, it has shown a significant differences between a distance by the section and the acceleration frequency and the results showed that the difference between the low accelerations and high ones influenced positively related to the performance.

Analysis on the Type and Characteristics of Penalty in World Judo (세계유도 반칙 유형 및 특성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the penalty types and characteristics of world judo players. Using a total of 19,889 penalties in 9,737 matches at the World Judo Grand Prix, the team draws a difference in the types and time of fouls according to gender, weight class and time. Results Both foul play and warning showed gender differences, and both men and women affected warning rates in weight class and time classification. In addition, fouls caused by non-combat behavior and camouflage attacks have a forward direction of time, and a low time of fouling by heavyweight athletes. Judo athletes and leaders expect to be used as basic data based on scientific data, such as training, skills, tactics and motivation, taking into account the characteristics of the foul type. Requires follow-up studies of scoring relationships and winning factors.

Analysis of different types of turnovers between winning and losing performances in men's NCAA basketball

  • Basketball is a highly complex sport, analyses offensive and defensive rebounds, free throw percentages, minutes played and an efficiency rating. These statistics can have a large bearing and provide a lot of pressure on players as their every move can be analysed. Performance analysis in sport is a vital way of being able to track a team or individuals performance and more commonly used resource for player and team development. Discovering information such as this proves the importance of these types of analysis as with post competition video analysis a coach can reach a far more accurate analysis of the game leading to the ability to coach and correct the exact requirements of the team instead of their perceptions. A significant difference was found between winning and losing performances for different types of turnovers supporting current research that states that turnovers are not a valid predictor of match outcomes and that there is no specific type of turnover which can predict the outcome of a match as briefly mentioned in Curz and Tavares (1998). Significant differences were found between winning and tied and losing and tied performance for some types of turnovers, however due to the lack of data collected in this area they cannot be considered valid. Further research could also be conducted in other areas relating to performance indicators where there is currently minimal research in some areas such as assisted baskets, stated about the performance indicators in their own study the performance indicators are inadequate for explaining the complexities of the game suggesting that one indicator will not be constant in every game an research into performance analysis areas would be more appropriate.
