  • The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the working conditions, post-traumatic stress syndrome and the self-resilience of nurses, and find out the relationship between the post-traumatic stress syndrome and the self-resilience. Data were collected by questionnaire method among 220 General Hospital nurses at Gyeongnam G and J city. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 program WIN. The results of working conditions of the nurses majority were shift work 70.5%, currently working in the ward 54.6%. Scores were shown as Post-traumatic stress syndrome (28.20) and self resilience (39.98). There is a negative correlation (r =.226, p=.001) between the post-traumatic stress syndrome and the self-resilience. Based on the result, since working conditions of nurses caused psychological stress and nurses with high self-resilience eased the degree of post-traumatic stress, in terms of the personnel management of hospitals, a psychological intervention strategy should be considered.

Data were collected in November and December, 2018 from a total of 240 subjects. Collected data were subjected to frequency, percentage, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, and ANOVA analyses to identify differences in smartphone addiction level and stress characteristics according to general characteristics. Correlations between smartphone addiction and stress characteristics were investigated by Pearson's correlation analysis, and factors influencing smartphone addiction were examined by hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The findings showed that independent variables had explanatory powers of 14.8% and 32.7% in Models 1 and 2, respectively. The study examined differences in smartphone addiction level according to the general characteristics of the subjects and found that female college students had a higher level of smartphone addiction than their male counterparts. The smartphone addiction level was high in those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for five hours or more a day, and spent many hours on SNS. Evaluation of differences in stress characteristics according to their general characteristics revealed female college students scored higher for stress characteristics. The means of the stress characteristics were also high for those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for many hours, and had a high risk of smartphone addiction. In conclusion, female gender, hours of smartphone usage and SNS, academic stress, and value stress were important factors influencing the smartphone addiction of nursing college students. The mean values of verbal violence showed 11.50±3.37 points, physical threatening showed 11.57±4.15 points, and physical violence showed 11.07±5.20. In this study, the mean values of post-traumatic stress disorder was 34.59±14.46 points, compassion fatigue was 26.50±7.17, and job satisfaction was 61.19 ± 8.38 points. Multiple linear regression indicated that post-traumatic stress disorder (β=-.21, p=.009) respectively predicted job satisfaction(F=23.11, p<.001) Based on the study results above, it is considered that programs that can systematically manage and prevent post-traumatic stress disorder and compassion fatigue are required to reduce post-traumatic stress disorder, and compassion fatigue from violence experience of emergency room nurses. Data analysis was done using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The study results were as follows. The exhaustion of childcare teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation with stress levels, but a statistically significant negative correlation with health status. The description of the complete model was 47.6%(regulated $R^2=.476$) with psychological health(${\beta}=-.297$, p<.001), and social health(${\beta}=-.257$, p<.001), stress level(${\beta}=.247$, p<.001). Thus, reducing the exhaustion of childcare teachers will require the consistent development of a stress management program with the application of psychological and social health, as well as various institutional reforms on both governmental and civil levels and a search for practical solutions.
