  • Developing countries and small local governments face financial constraints, limiting the adoption of their own bus information systems. However, despite poor social infrastructure and low income levels, developing countries have a high smartphone penetration rate, and the distribution and usage of online content and social media are widespread. Smartphones, equipped with GPS sensors, cameras, and other location-based information collection capabilities, can replace expensive on-site terminals. This study aims to replace expensive on-site terminals with smartphones, develop a center system based on cloud servers, and establish an extensible Open BIS (Bus Information System) service and platform that can be applied anywhere. The goal is to formulate a business model in the process.

However, based on the current information system audit standard, check fields or check lists are insufficient to apply to audit for CRM construction in a smart mobile office environment. Therefore, this paper proposes a model for auditing CRM system construction in smart mobile office environment. It proposes audit domain and check lists of CRM construction. It also verified whether the proposed model is suitable or not by doing a survey if deduced audit domain and check lists correspond with the purpose of the CRM construction audit during smart mobile office environment. As the result, this study appear to have more than average satisfaction the suitability results were.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze students' perception of smart learning focusing on its definitions, roles and values in distance higher education. In the online survey, 1,950 students of 'A' open university were participated. The results show that the students viewed the smart learning to be more 'absorbing', 'interactive' and 'collaborative' than the existing e-learning, as it compiles their experiences into learning. However, the respondents' perceptions of smart learning varied among different age groups: more students in their 40s and 50s responded that smart learning was 'customized', 'humanlike', 'interactive', 'comfortable', 'stable', 'familiar', 'unstressful', and 'practical' than students in their 20s and 30s, and they tend to view the main feature of smart learning to be the compilation of learner experiences.

  • Wheelchair users found difficulties in living independently in their houses due to the lack of accessibility. The state of the art smart home technology may enable wheelchair users to live independently. In this study, we built a smart home, and tested its usability with three community dwelling wheelchair users. Three evaluation methods such as scenario-based test, K-IADL(Korea instrumental activity of daily living) test, and in-depth interview were used. All three users responded positively for using the smart home. Through this study, we also found several necessary amendments in building smart homes for wheelchair users.

  • Recently mobile application providers and telecommunication companies went through a difficult time in a highly competitive mobile and its application market where we've seen a huge trend for diverse mobile applications occurring on smart phone. If there were a time when those of companies need to analyze factors affecting users' intention to download or recommend others applications more than ever, it is now. Based on UTAUT model, this research is to provide them with strategic implications by analyzing those factors according to application types with utilization and hedonic values. As a result, firstly trust and personalization have positive impact on Performance Expectancy and users' intention to use have been significantly affected by Performance Expectancy and Effort Expectancy. Secondly the result of path analysis has a different outcome according to application types with utilization and hedonic values. Therefore it is expected that the research gives practical and strategic implication for application developer, mobile companies and others helping application development, new service launch and marketing implementation.

  • Modern cities are changing to 'smart cities' dramatically with the introduction and development of the fourth industrial revolution technologies. Among these technologies blockchain is unique because it not only embraces technological innovation but also societal revolution. Therefore, blockchain is expected to play a pivotal role for contributing comprehensive development of smart city. The current research and policy atmosphere in Korea, however, is that blockchain is just a new technology and its broader impacts are overlooked. This study argues that blockchain has significant effects on smart cities not only from technological perspectives but also from social, economic, institutional, governmental perspectives. Further, this study suggests three categories that blockchain can help the development of smart city: technology, socio-economic, and governance, with examples of existing blockchin projects. However, these projects have been builting separately without any interaction under the common hood of 'smart city'. To emhance influences of blockchain on smart cities in positive ways, private companies, policy maker, and citizend are supposed to consider and discuss about publi sector's blockchain that is commonly used in at the smart city level.

  • Keen attention has been directed at "smart tourism cities" due to its role of solving urban problems arising from modern tourism development. However, some local governments are making huge investments in developing uniform tourism apps without specific directions or guidelines for the transformation of smart tourism cities. Accordingly, this study aims to develop a standardized and objective smart tourism competitiveness index and evaluate the competitiveness rankings of various cities around the world. The index comprises the five subindices of attractiveness, accessibility, digitalization readiness, sustainability, and co-partnership. The analysis results have shown that Singapore is the most competitive smart tourism city, followed by Amsterdam, New York City, Seoul and Barcelona, with Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok being relegated to the bottom of competitiveness rankings. We expect that this index can be employed as a global standard for continuously and systematically monitoring smart tourism city-related projects in the future.

  • As digital content services, especially OTT(over-the-top) video services, diffuse rapidly, so do smartTVs. Based on the indirect network effect theory and the complementarity theory, this study explores the relationship between digital content services and smartTV. Using the Media panel dataset, this study analyzes how the usage of digital content service (OTT usage, OTT usage volume, the usage of various OTT service types, and online game/music/education/news service) affects smartTV usage. This study shows that OTT usage and its usage volume is positively associated with smartTV usage, and that the usage of various OTT service types is positively associated with smartTV usage compared with non-OTT users. As for online content services, the usage of online education service is positively associated with smartTV usage while the usage of online news service is associated negatively. These results support the indirect network effect theory and the complementarity theory.
