A Study on the Construction Equipment Object Extraction Model Based on Computer Vision Technology (컴퓨터 비전 기술 기반 건설장비 객체 추출 모델 적용 분석 연구)

  • Purpose: Looking at the status of fatal accidents in the construction industry in the 2022 Industrial Accident Status Supplementary Statistics, 27.8% of all fatal accidents in the construction industry are caused by construction equipment. In order to overcome the limitations of tours and inspections caused by the enlargement of sites and high-rise buildings, we plan to build a model that can extract construction equipment using computer vision technology and analyze the model's accuracy and field applicability. Method: In this study, deep learning is used to learn image data from excavators, dump trucks, and mobile cranes among construction equipment, and then the learning results are evaluated and analyzed and applied to construction sites. Result: At site 'A', objects of excavators and dump trucks were extracted, and the average extraction accuracy was 81.42% for excavators and 78.23% for dump trucks. The mobile crane at site 'B' showed an average accuracy of 78.14%. Conclusion: It is believed that the efficiency of on-site safety management can be increased and the risk factors for disaster occurrence can be minimized. In addition, based on this study, it can be used as basic data on the introduction of smart construction technology at construction sites.

Analyzing Information Disclosure in the Construction CALS System: A Study on Improvement Strategies (건설CALS시스템 정보공개 현황분석을 통한 개선 방안 연구)

  • The Public Data Act mandates that every public institution must make efforts to facilitate convenient access to public data for all and take necessary measures to universally expand the right to use such data. Furthermore, it specifies that the head of a public institution must provide the data held and managed by that institution to the citizens. The Construction Project Information Disclosure Service aims to increase the utilization of data within the Construction CALS System, creating new added value by disclosing information and fostering communication. This service seeks to enhance public interest and transparency, support the creation of new businesses based on construction project data, and stimulate related industries. Since 2019, a total of 26 types of information have been disclosed through this service. As the volume of disclosed information continues to increase, there has been a consistent demand for reducing burden on data providers and enhancing user functionality. This study analyzes the current status of the Construction CALS Information Disclosure System to identify its existing challenges. Subsequently, it establishes a systematic approach to the data opening process and proposes enhancements to information disclosure and search functionalities for addressing these challenges.

  • 증강현실은 가상세계와 현실세계를 혼합한 기술로, 현재 여러 분야에서 증강현실을 접목한 다양한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 건설 산업은 복잡한 설계와 시설물을 기반으로 모든 업무가 행해지는 특징으로 인해 증강현실의 활용 가능성이 높은 분야로 주목되고 있다. 스마트폰을 이용하여 교량의 정보를 제공하는 증강현실 기반 교량 정보 시스템(InfoBridge)은 사용자들에게 많은 정보를 제공하기 위해서 최적화된 데이터베이스 모델링이 필요하다. 많은 사용자들이 원하는 정보를 찾을 때 정보의 누락이 없어야 하고 빠른 검색을 통해서 정보를 제공 받아야 한다. 또한 관리자는 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하게 제공하기 위해서 데이터베이스의 최신화가 필수이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 증강현실 기반 교량 정보 시스템의 데이터베이스 설계를 제안한다. 우리나라에 있는 많은 교량들의 내/외적인 정보를 데이터베이스에 담기 위해서는 적절한 설계가 필요하며 이러한 설계를 통해서 정보의 빠른 검색, 데이터베이스의 효과적인 유지보수를 제공한다.

  • 시퀀스제어는 제조, 유통, 건설, 의료 산업분야의 기계, 전기, 전자, 자동화 등에 응용되어 널리 사용하고 있다. 4차산업의 발전으로 제어분야에 인공지능 융합 기술이 산업에 중요한 요소가 되어가고 있다. 특히 기존 시스템에 마이크로프로세서와 인공지능이 융합된 설비의 안전성과 혁신성을 평가하고 신뢰성 높은 장비개발이 요구되고 있어 교육목적의 장비를 개발하여 해당분야의 발전을 견인하고자 한다. 자체 개발한 일체형 인공지능 컨트롤러 모듈은 기존의 시퀀스 및 PLC제어 회로에 인공지능 능력을 융합한 장비이다. 본 장비의 성능평가항목으로 동작, 음성, 문자, 색상 등의 인식 능력과 회로의 안정성, 신뢰성을 평가하였다. 시퀀스 및 PLC 회로를 설계 후 융합된 일체형 인공지능 컨트롤러 모듈의 성능평가항목이 모두 만족하였고 회로의 안전성과 신뢰성에 문제가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

  • SMS에 대한 기술은 21세기를 향한 새로운 차원의 신생하는 그리고 강한 창조성(originality)을 띤 최첨단 기술의 하나로 부각되고 있으며 특히 SMS의 무한한 응용성으로 미루어 볼 때 연구 개발의 급격한 증대가 기대된다. 이에 이 분야 기술이 미약 혹은 전무한 우리나라에서도 하루 빨리 연구개발에 착수하여 SMS 관련 신소재 개발은 몰론 자동차, 항공, 국방, 건설, 의료 및 각종 제조 산업분야에서의 응용장치 개발을 통한 고부가가치 창출과 국제 경쟁력 강화 그리고 전략적 효과 상승 및 국제적 지위권 확보를 꾀해야 할 것으로 사료된다. Development of a safety accident prevention system for construction equipment utilizing IoT and RTLS technology (사물인터넷과 실시간 위치추적 기술을 활용한 건설 장비의 안전 사고 방지 시스템 개발)

  • Identifying potential accidents at construction sites is a major concern for the construction industry, and, according to the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the death rate of safety accidents caused by construction equipment is particularly high at 19.8% as of 2016. Although Internet of Things (IoT) has not been applied widely in construction sites, it can build an operating system that feeds accurate and useful information to construction accident management for identifying potential accidents. In this context, this study proposes an IoT- and RTLS-based construction equipment safety accident prevention system, which can be useful for preventing and managing safety accidents caused by construction equipment. Future deployment of such system would contribute not only to the safety of workers but also to efficient equipment and manpower operation.

A Study on the Policy Direction for the Introduction and Activation of Smart Factories by Korean SMEs (우리나라 중소기업의 스마트 팩토리 수용 및 활성화 제고를 위한 정책 방향에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide assistance to the establishment of related policies to improve the level of acceptance and use of smart factories for SMEs in Korea. To this end, the Unified Technology Acceptance Model (UTAUT) was extended to select additional factors that could affect the intention to accept technology, and to demonstrate this. To achieve the research objective, a questionnaire composed of 7-point Likert scales was prepared, and a survey was conducted for manufacturing-related companies. A total of 136 questionnaires were used for statistical processing. As a result of the hypothesis test, performance expectation and social influence had a positive (+) positive effect on voluntary use, but effort expectation and promotion conditions did not have a significant effect. As an extension factor, the network effect and organizational characteristics had a positive (+) effect, and the innovation resistance had a negative effect (-), but the perceived risk had no significant effect. When the size of the company is large, the perceived risk and innovation resistance are low, and the level of influencing factors for veterinary intentions, veterinary intentions, and veterinary behaviors are excluded. Through this study, factors that could have a positive and negative effect on the adoption (reduction) of smart factory-related technologies were identified and factors to be improved and factors to be reduced were suggested. As a result, this study suggests that smart factory-related technologies should be accepted.

PZT Impedance-based Damage Detection for Civil Infrastructures (토목 구조물의 PZT Impedance 기반 손상추정기법)

  • This paper presents the feasibility of an impedance-based damage detection technique using piezoelectric (PZT) transducers for civil infrastructures such as steel bridges. The impedance-based damage detection method is based on monitoring the changes in the electrical impedance. Those changes in the electrical impedance are due to the electro-mechanical coupling property of the piezoelectric material and structure. An effective integrated structural health monitoring system must include a statistical process of damage detection that is automated and real time assessment of damage in the structure. Once measured, damage sensitive features from this impedance change can be statistically quantified for various damage cases. The results of the experimental study on three kinds of structural members show that cracks or loosened bolts/nuts near the PZT sensors may be effectively detected by monitoring the shifts of the resonant frequencies. The root mean square (RMS) deviations of impedance functions between before and after damages were also considered as a damage indicator. The subsequent statistical methods using the impedance signature of the PZT sensors were investigated.

  • The border area between the South and North Korea is considered a stage for promoting Green Détent through the transformation of the Demilitarized Zone into the Green Peace Zone. This paper proposes 'Prosuming-index' composed of items to evaluate the multi-layered nature of industrial and infrastructure projects in the ecological and environmental fields planned in the border area. Based on the prosuming-index, we derived the following four types of potential for Green Detent practice in the border area-first, the Incheon and Ganghwa regions as 'a logistics/human network and agricultural/fishery production area', second, the northern Gyeonggi region as a 'cooperative network area based on the smart technology industries', third, the western Gangwon and the parts of nothern Gyeonggi region, as 'a multiple prosumer's area based on carbon neutral technologies', lastly, the eastern Gangwon region, as 'a transition area from idle or aged infrastructure to green infrastructure through the renewable energy industries'.

  • This study is a study on the innovation resistance that may arise in connection with the introduction and use of smart factory-related technologies by SMEs. It is to study the effect of the leading factors of innovation resistance on innovation resistance and the effect of innovation resistance on use intention by using the extended innovation resistance model. A total of 176 survey data were used for the study, and the study was conducted using SPSS 25 and Smart PLS 2.0. Relative advantage, suitability, perceived risk, social impact, and organizational characteristics have a significant effect on innovation resistance, and innovation resistance was tested to have a significant effect on the intention to use. As an implication according to the research, a plan to improve the level of introduction and use of smart factories using the expanded innovative storage model was presented by dividing positive and negative factors, and factors that should be improved and factors that should be reduced are presented. It was specifically presented.
