The Adverse Effects of Education Using Smart Devices on Students (스마트 기기 활용교육이 학생에게 미치는 역기능)

  • It is known that the smart education has a positive impact of critical thinking skills and problem solving, communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation in the 21st century. However, some people concern about the adverse effects of smart education such as smart devices addiction and health problems. In this study, we conducted the adverse effects of education using smart devices on students. The questionnaire survey was conducted and analyzed for students in 9 schools at A city(four elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools) that are receiving smart education. The types of adverse effects of smart education includes smartphone addiction, lack of information ethics, health problems, and lack of social and learning ability. We showed the differences each item compared among elementary school, middle school and high school about adverse effects of smart education. The result of survey didn't have any adverse affect of smart education such as internet addiction or smartphone addiction. However in order to protect the copyright, the school needs to fight against indiscriminated downloads and perform the information ethics education. Plus we surely need to be more open-minded in reading and exercise at school and home.

Exploring the Digital Workbook Development for Mind Healing on a Smart Environment (스마트 환경에서의 마음치유용 디지털 워크북 개발을 위한 탐색)

  • Many healing programs regard successful healing as the cure of the presenting physical and emotional problems. To heal present broken heart on a smart environment, we need to know states of mind. We also have to need psychoanalytic healing that cure mind caused. It is necessary to consider a more comprehensive view of healing that incorporates not only physical healing but mental healing. For this, we analyze through retrospective review from existing researches and healing programs. We obtain psychological and emotional factors about negative side effects on a smart environment. Throughout this study we draw upon factors of psychology and emotion to represent pictures by projective methods such as visual representation. That pictures is being used in developing the digital workbook for mind healing. We look at the possibility of psychological therapy from negative side effects causing converts into digital forms which have fixed scales on a smart environment.

The Relationship Analysis between Smartphone Addiction and Ecological Factors of Elementary Students (초등학생의 스마트폰 중독과 환경적 요인의 관계)

  • This study verified the effect that the ecological factor had on the smartphone addiction, and then validated the difference related to current smartphone addiction with actual state of dysfunction. To substantiate the results of this study, the 6th graders at five elementary schools located in Incheon, were surveyed and a total of 672 questionnaires were analyzed. In the results of this study, the school district as the ecological factors had a significant effect on smartphone addiction of elementary students. Through the results of analysis, we found that a smartphone addiction is not cased by the personal inclinations, but has to cooperate individual, home, school and society.

A Study on the Internet and Smart-Phone Addiction Diagnosis's Comparison through internet usage pattern of College Students (대학생의 인터넷 이용패턴을 통한 인터넷과 스마트폰 중독진단에 관한 비교연구)

  • Smartphone addiction and internet addiction cause a serious negative social problem due to the spread of the new media which is combined with the ubiquitous function. To evaluate the degree of Internet addiction and smartphone addiction of college students in the nearby areas, K-scale of internet addiction self-diagnosis scale and S-scale of smartphone addiction self-diagnosis scale for Korean adults were applied. This study aims to develop the survey questions, which get the basic internet patterns and access the web site, and to find the hidden addicts that is not found by general K-scale and S-scale using computers and smartphones. The result shows that a method of addiction diagnosis using the tolerance degree which is calculated by smart phone's internet main activities and using time(anticipated and real time) apart from K-scale and S-scale. So hidden internet and smartphone addicts could be found through the SPSS statistical analysis program.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 급변하는 국내 게임 산업의 변화를 살펴보면 소수의 인원으로 짧은 시간에 개발이 가능하고 휴대가 간편하며 리스크가 적은 스마트폰 게임 시장의 확장이 두드러지고 있다. 반면에 온라인 게임시장은 무분별한 규제 및 메이져급 게임회사의 중, 소 게임 회사 인수합병으로 인해서 게임 업계는 위축되는 현상으로 가고 있다. 하드웨어, 소프트웨어 및 플랫폼 환경의 빠른 변화로 인해서 게임 개발에 또 다른 영향을 주고 있는데 클라우드 서비스로 인해서 이동형 게임을 더욱 가속화 시킬 수 있게 되었고, On-Live같은 미들웨어 기술의 성장 속도를 보면 고 하이 퀄리티 게임을 이제는 무선 인터넷망을 통해서 손쉽게 즐길 수 있는 방향으로 진화하고 있다고 본다. 이러한 변화에 발맞춰서 게임 개발 환경 및 구축 형태도 진화 시켜야 한다고 보는데 기술적으로는 클라우드 서비스와 미들웨어 쪽에 맞춰서 개발해야 하고, 역기능 부분의 개선책으로 순기능 부분의 기능성 게임은 앞으로 개발 가능성이 매우 높으며 그 중 실버세대와 교육용 게임 시장이 대세로 될 것이다. 즉 이러한 트렌드 분석을 통해서 국내 게임의 발전 방향에 대해서 단점을 극복하고 장점을 부각시켜야 한다.

Comparison of Internet Ethics between Gifted and General Students (영재학생과 일반학생의 인터넷 윤리의식 비교)

  • With the spread of smart phones, the Internet became a major 'space' of students' daily life and, at the same time, negative aspects of the internet are affecting their life. However, it doesn't seem that there is enough research on this subject. This study was conducted on 278 students in Gyeonggi. The results were as follows. First, gifted students' information and communication ethics index was higher than general students. Second, there was no statistically significant difference according to the gender of information and communication ethics index. Urban districts showed lower index in the upper grades than the lower grades. Third, about 10% of the students had experience of contact with harmful content, and about 1% of students had experienced cyber-wrongdoing. Through the results of this study, systematic education of IT ethics at the elementary school grade level can be expected to prevent school violence, improve information and communication culture, and serve as a future work ethic.

  • In this paper, we design and implement an L-SNS system to reduce ever-increasing adverse effects of the Internet through the strengths of social network service system based on media literacy, including critical comprehension, creative expression, participation, communication ability, etc. The L-SNS system we proposed here was used the Smartphone as a medium of communication for learners, and to let them have indirect experience and real-time interaction. In addition, it provides the environment to make objective decisions through the process examining an in-depth discussion among other learners in the aspect of a third party.
