An Analysis of the Transition Type of Webtoon based Snack Animation Content (웹툰 기반 스낵애니메이션 콘텐츠의 장면전환 유형 분석)

  • In these days, the term 'snack culture' has been popularized as on of the tendency of new content consumption, and various related contents are introduced. This study is an analytical study related to the snack animation content based on the webtoon which can be considered as a representative snack culture content. The Purpose of this study is to investigate the frequency of use of transition techniques, which are importance for viewer to help to understand story by making space and time change in the moving image. To do this, I analyzed the each type of transition technique about the whole contents of NAVER's play webtoon, which is representative snack animation platform. Then I derived and contemplated the result of the analysis with a viewpoint of composition of shot. Through this process, I think this study could provide another basic data about snack animation contents which are not been studied enough yet.

  • Web series, as one of the products in the network era, are different from traditional TV dramas, With the contents preferred by youngsters, wed series, as a form of fast food culture, are increasingly gaining popularity, such as being uploaded on online video platforms like Naver TV and Youtube. This study aims to examine the characteristics of narrative closure and continuing serial form of Youth Web Series through the youth web series production company "playlist original" in Korea and analyze the narrative structure caused by narrative closure and continuing serial form and nonlinear narratives.

  • In line with policy support and demand, mobile videos about science and technology have growth potential. For activation of domestic mobile video contents about science and technology, this article aims to analysis current global leading contents and draw implications for benchmarking. Therefore, this paper attempted to analyzed types and storytelling strategy of Science and technology channels on YouTube, which has the most influence among the mobile video media. The results are as follows. Fist, the YouTube contents about science technology are categorized into three types, activity-, explain-, review-centered type. Second, activity type channels are classified into 4 sub-types. Third, The core storytelling strategy of activity type channels is a combination of familiarity and unfamiliarity to deal with everyday material through specialized scientific and technological methods. Based on the results of this research, we expect to plan and produce global killer contents.

The Effects of YouTube Summary Contents Features and Contents Provider Credibility on Users' Flow and Satisfaction (유튜브 서머리 콘텐츠 특성과 콘텐츠 제공자 신뢰성이 이용자 몰입과 만족에 미치는 영향)

  • Previous studies have studied short videos, short form content, snack culture and so on, but few studies have been conducted on the form of summary content that compressing and summarizing the original content. This study aims to contribute to the revitalization of the summary content market by exploring ways to enhance user satisfaction through analysis of the YouTube summary content features and the credibility of content providers that bring about flow and satisfaction of YouTube summary content users. The survey was conducted on 202 people who have watched YouTube summary contents for finding out the effects of YouTube summary contents features and content provider credibility on the details of flow. As a result, only entertainment had a significant impact on all flow details. This study is of academic significance in that it defines the features of YouTube summary contents, and has practical significance in that it suggests what direction the summary content should have in order to arouse user satisfaction in future.

Testimony of the Real World, Documentary-Animation (현실세계의 증언, 다큐멘터리-애니메이션 분석)

  • The present study argues that documentary-animation films, which are based on actual human voices, on the level of representation, constitute a new expansion for the medium of animation films, which serve as testimonies to the real world. Animation films are produced using very diverse techniques so that they are complex to the degree of being indefinable, and documentary films, though based on objective representation, increase in complexity in that there exist various types of artificial interventions such as direction and digital image processing. Having emerged as a hybrid genre of the two media, documentary-animation films draw into themselves actual events and elements so that they conceptually share reality-based narratives and are visually characterized by the trappings of animation films. Generally classified as 'animated documentaries', this genre triggered discussions following the release of , a work that is mistaken as having used rotoscoping transforming live action in terms of the technique. When analyzed in detail, however, this work is presented as an ambiguous medium where the characteristics of animation films, which are virtual simulacra without reality, and of documentaries, which are based on the objective indexicality of the referents, coexist because of its mixed use of typical animation techniques, 3D programs, and live-action images. Discussed in the present study, , , and share the characteristics of the medium of documentaries in that the narratives develop as testimonies of historical figures but, at the same time, are connected to animation films because of their production techniques and direction characteristics. Consequently, this medium must be discussed as a new expansion rather than being included in the existing classification system, and such a presupposition is an indispensable process for directly facing the reality of the works and for developing discussions. Through works that directly use the interviewees' voices yet do not transcend the characteristics of animation films, the present study seeks to define documentary-animation films and to discuss the possibility of the medium, which has expanded as a testimony to the real world.

A Survey on the Utilization University Food Service by Student in Daejeon City (대전지역 대학생들의 대학급식소 이용실태 조사)

  • Questionnaire survey was done on the utilization status of college feeding facilities by students. Three hundred and nine students from three universities in Daejeon city, Korea participated in this survey. The results were summarized as followings. 1. Students who had experience of utilizing college feeding facilities were totalled to two hundred and ninety six. Among them 87.50% students were utilizing for lunch. Female students utilization ratio for lunch was 17.94% higher than male. College B students showed specially low utilization ratio. 2. Utilization frequency ratio of once per day was the highest as 30.72%. College C showed the highest utilization ratio. 3. Students utilized the campus food services most frequently as 47.97%, the restaurant outside campus the next and snack corner in the campus the last. 4. Reasons for the utilization were listed as low price, time saving, near place and no other place to eat. 5. Reasons for the not utilization were indicated as tasteless, simple menu and noisy and crowded. 6. Recommendations for the improvements of' college feeding facilities can be summarized to emphasize on taste, menu variation, sanitation, price decrease and comfortable atmosphere.
