Considerations for Implementing Online Art-Based Peer Supervision (온라인 미술기반 동료 슈퍼비전 실행에 대한 고려사항)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose considerations to help actual application based on the characteristics of the online art-based peer supervision execution process. Colleagues in the clinical art therapy doctoral program, including the researcher, attempted to repeatedly identify problems and apply improvements in the implementation process as research participants, and qualitatively analyzed the various data collected in the process. Looking at the characteristics of the analysis results, extensibility of materials and space was confirmed in terms of 'art-based' and initiative, convenience, and speed in terms of 'online'. The considerations identified through this are as follows. First, 'pre-structuring' should be based on clear boundaries and setting, prior consultation of the group, and self-directed preparation and attitude. Second, for the 'structural aspect of art', space and media to help immersion through creation, and stable implementation structure should be established. Third, in the 'technical aspect', it is necessary to apply a method that can deliver a work of art and a method that can communicate the creator's clear intention. Lastly, for the 'ethical aspect', it is necessary to use online software in accordance with the minimum security standards and to make efforts to repeatedly maintain confidentiality. This study is meaningful in that it suggested a practical method for maintaining the professional competence of art therapists and expanding networks among art therapists in various situations including pandemics.

  • This study seeks to find ways to make desirable decisions in the face of ethical dilemmas experienced by social workers through research on ethical dilemmas in the social welfare administrative field. Recognizing the importance of ethical issues in the social welfare profession, we have established a social welfare code of ethics, and have opened 'Social Welfare Ethics and Philosophy' in the social welfare major curriculum to address ethical issues as a major issue. However, despite changes and desires in practice and education, the theoretical and practical interest in social welfare academia was very insufficient. Among the various ethical issues in social welfare practice, it can be said that ethical decision-making is the most burdensome for social workers. Therefore, in order to perform a role as an expert in social welfare practice, there is a need to increase awareness of the importance of ethical issues and to seek ethical methods and procedures to make the right decision by considering ethical dilemma situations. In this study, through research on various ethical dilemmas occurring in social welfare practice, it will be possible to understand ethical sensitivity in the supervision process and consider ways to train supervision experts.

Efficient graph-based two-stage superpixel generation method (효율적인 그래프 기반 2단계 슈퍼픽셀 생성 방법)

  • Superpixel methods are widely used in the preprocessing stage as a method to reduce computational complexity by simplifying images while maintaining the characteristics of images in the field of computer vision. It is common to generate superpixels with a regular size and form based on the pixel values rather than considering the characteristics of the image. In this paper, we propose a method to generate superpixels considering the characteristics of an image according to the application. The proposed method consists of two steps, and the first step is to oversegment an image so that the boundary information of the image is well preserved. In the second step, superpixels are merged based on similarity to produce the desired number of superpixels, where the form of superpixels are controlled by limiting the maximum size of superpixels. Experimental results show that the proposed method preserves the boundaries of an image more accurately than the existing method.

A Study on the Case Management Practice Using Importance-performance Analysis(IPA) (IPA기법을 적용한 사회복지사례관리 직무수행 및 수퍼비전에 관한 연구 - 국가직무능력표준을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a suggestion to improve speciality and job performance of social work case management using importance-performance-analysis(IPA). A quantitative research design was used and data were collected from 209 social workers who are in charge of case manager job at Ulsan metropolitan area. Study participants were asked the recognition of importance-job competence and need for supervision-experience of social work case management job description on the NCS(9 competency units, 33 competency units). Descriptive analysis and IPA were performed. This study found the need for intensified job competence of 'building external operating systems' and 'development of resource linkage systems'. Also, it is necessary to provide intensive supervision for 'building an external and internal operating system.' Based on the results, future direction of intensified job performance for socla work case management was discussed.

A Study on the Inhibiting Factors of Case Management in Child Welfare Facilities (아동복지시설 사례관리수행 저해요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of case management in child welfare facilities to determine what the inhibiting factors as well as complementary factors are. For this purpose, data from 181 workers in community children's centers and 96 workers in child protection agencies and foster care centers were analyzed, the analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 program. In the case of community children's center interpersonal skills, case management guidelines, super vision, and network utilization were the influential factors while in other child welfare facilities, personal inhibitory factors, social welfare work experience, case management experience, and network utilization were the affecting factors. The implications reveal that social welfare practice should enhance the interpersonal skills of the workers, strengthen the supervision system, and provide a clear case management guideline. It is also important to set up a network of all local child welfare facilities and strengthen cooperation and mutual support among the institutions within the network.

A Meta-Analysis on the Variables Related with Job Satisfaction of Social Workers (사회복지사의 직무만족 영향 요인에 관한 메타분석)

  • This study conducted a meta-analysis on the studies related with job satisfaction of social workers. For data analysis, journals, theses, and dissertations published between 1990 and 2013 were reviewed systematically. Through this process, this study calculated average effect size of each variable and explored moderator variables. The study results were as follows. First, this study significantly identified 27 variables related with job satisfaction of social workers. Second, the results indicated that large effect size variables included empowerment, organizational climates, supervision, relationship with boss, leadership, social support, work environment, reward system factor, self-esteem, work autonomy. Third, moderator analyses were conducted utilizing characteristics of organization. Moderate effects were identified in the following variables including role conflict, specialization, recognition, promotion, relationship with peer, supervision. Finally, the implications of the study findings were discussed.

Stress and Stress Coping that Students Experienced in their Social Work Field Practicum (사회복지실습생이 경험하는 스트레스와 대처)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine present condition of social work field education, students' stress/stress coping strategies in their field practicum, and to find out the difference according to the factors related field education. This study carried out a survey targeting 202 students who finished their social work field practicum and took their course work in 2012, from 4 different universities in the northern Gyeonggi province & Seoul. As the result, in the area of stress, the highest rank was the lack of professional knowledge/skills, the second was the environment of field practicum, and the third was the burden of tasks that they had to perform. About the coping strategies, it was found that students utilized 'problem-solving focused' the most, pursuing 'social support' as the second, and 'avoidance' strategies as the least. Factors influencing on differences of stress level depending on field work experiences were whether they had previous field experience, how much time they participated in previous volunteer activities, whether they attended orientation for their field practicum, regularity/frequency of supervision, the satisfaction on their social work/welfare major, and the satisfaction on their field practicum or supervision. Based on the results, suggestions for development in field education system were presented.

Knowledge and Skill Competence of Supervisor (슈퍼바이저의 지식 및 기술 역량 연구 -IPA분석을 통한 사회복지관, 장애인복지관, 노인복지관 비교-)

  • The purpose of this research is to compare the importance and performance of the supervisor competence according to the social welfare center, rehabilitation center for the disabled types. Accordingly, it is suggested to propose implementation strategy to improve supervisor's competency. There were statistically significant differences in the importance and performance of the 14 knowledge competencies(t=30.545, p<.001) and 15 skill competencies(t=27.335, p<.001) required for the supervisor. As the result of IPA analysis, there was a difference by each type of welfare center in the distribution of four areas(Concentrate here, Keep up the good work, Low Priority, Possible Overkill) and accordingly, the implementation strategy was presented and discussed.

  • 야간 영상에서 쉽게 발생하는 빛 번짐은 영상 내에 존재하는 색상 정보나 경계선과 같은 컴퓨터 비전에서 중요한 정보들에 대해 영향을 끼친다. 때문에 이를 효과적으로 이용하기 위해서는 빛 번짐 영역을 없애주는 보정단계가 필요하다. 보정하기 위해서는 먼저 그 빛 번짐 영역을 정확하게 찾아내는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 다층구조를 이용하여 얻어진 빛 번짐 영역을 더욱 정확하게 모델링 할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 슈퍼픽셀을 이용하여 빛 번짐 영역 모델링의 정확도를 향상시킨다. 제안한 방법에 의하면 층 구조를 이용하면서 발생되는 문제점인 영상 밝기 정보에만 의존하여 잘못된 영역을 포함시키거나 누락시켰던 문제점을 해결하였다.

A Study of the Relationship between Human Resource Management & Financial Resource Management and Service Quality in Social Service Organizations (사회복지조직의 인적자원 및 재정자원 관리와 서비스 품질 간 관계에 대한 연구)

  • This study attempts to examine the relationship between human resource management & financial resource management and service quality in social service organizations in Korea. This study utilizes '2012 Central Government Social Welfare Facilities Evaluation (CGSWFE)' data and employs multiple regression method to examine research model. The key findings of this study are as follows: (1) after controlling extraneous variables (organizational characteristics), among human resource management related variables, performance appraisal, fringe benefits, supervision, formal grievance procedure, the percentage of employees with certified professional license, and salary have statistically significant relationships with service quality in a positive direction; (2) among financial resource management related variables, the percentage of additional governmental funding beyond basic government subsidies, accounting management, and transparent use and management of donations have statistically significant relationships with service quality in a positive direction; and (3) human resource management related variables are stronger than financial resource management related variables in explaining service quality. The findings imply that more systematic human resource management and financial resource management would be very important in strengthening service quality in social service organizations. This study provides new knowledge foundation regarding the effect of human resource management and financial resource management on service quality in social service organizations.
