This study establishes a commercialization strategy for technology that can monitor and detect landslides in real time. An effective commercialization strategy was sought through both qualitative and quantitative analyses. The qualitative analysis considered the business environment in detail, while the quantitative analysis examined technologically strong and weak areas by visualizing the links between IPC (International Patent Classification) code structure and patent applicants. The results from both analyses are considered together, with particular attention paid to the business environment. The resulting integrated analysis comprehensively explores the degree of technological development and the current state of real-time monitoring and detection technology for landslides. The integrated analysis identified complementary assets in the business environment, as there is strong development and many research entities in this area. This suggests positive reinforcement for commercialization with two sub-strategies: (1) exploring demand with complementary assets, and (2) providing technology information for explored demand, which should facilitate successful commercialization. Exploiting this positive reinforcement for technology commercialization could reduce the high uncertainty of the technology and the market, and thus increase the probability of successful commercialization. It is also expected to contribute to long-term success by strengthening collaboration between the supply and demand sides.
It is known that a key limiting factor to the use of ultrafiltration membranes is that of membrane fouling, which has been a major cause of permeate flux reduction. In this work, the effects of several factors (operating time, protein concentration, temperature and pH, etc.) influencing permeate flux during ultrafiltration of gelatin, casein and bovine serum albumin using a hollow fiber membrane(M. W. 10,000 cut off) reactor have been examined. The permeate flux of gelatin solution was maintained almost constant during the operation up to 6 hours, but those of casein and albumin solutions were decreased to 50% and 43% of initial value after an operation time of 60min. The permeate flux with increasing concentration and temperature of protein solutions increased, but the permeate flux showed a minimum value near the isoelectric point of proteins. The permeate fluxes of protein solution were enhanced by a temperature increase and pH control. Also, it is proposed that fouling can be decreased by the pretreatment of insoluble proteins with enzymes.

This study analyzed the properties of concrete depending on the coal gasification slag(CGS) contents in order to examine the applicability of CGS as the fine aggregate for concrete. Experimental results, trended that the slump and slump flow increased with increasing CGS contents, and air contents has decreased. Evaluation index for segregation of normal strength concrete(EISN) is showed was good from CGS 25% when using crushed sand A(CSa) and CGS 50% when using mixed sand(MS). The compressive strength decreased with increasing CGS contents when CSa was used. However, when MS was used, the maximum value was CGS 50% due to parabolic tendency. Depending on fine aggregates type, compared with compressive strength of CSa was about 8% higher than that of MS, and depending on the use or unuse of CGS, more advantageous at higher strength than low strength. As a result of relative performance study on the quality of concrete according to the CGS contents, it is considered that CGS can be positively contributed to enhancement of workability and strength development when mixed with fine aggregate around 25~50%.

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal distances between pipes to minimize the pressure loss and turbulent intensity. This was accomplished by investigating the distances between sleeve-jointed pipes and the flow changes in pipes based on variations in the Reynolds (Re) number when installing adjusting pieces for the pipes. When the thickness tp of the sleeve-jointed piping was fixed at 5 mm and the pipe lengths Lp were 10, 50, 100, and 200 mm, the correlations with the velocity of the sleeve-jointed part, pressure distribution, length of the reattachment point in the recirculation area, and Re number were analyzed. The flow characteristic of the sleeve-jointed part from a laminar to a turbulent flow region was determined by setting the Re range to 200 ≤ Re ≤ 5,000. This was done by utilizing Ansys Fluent 18.1, which is a commercial program. The enlargement and contraction ratios of the sleeve-jointed part were 1.2 and 0.83, respectively, and the turbulent intensity of the sleeve downstream edge and pressure change both increased as the Re number increased while Lp remained constant. The fact that the flow on the sleeve wall surface was disturbed by tp resulted in losses in velocity energy. Therefore, the edge of the sleeve-jointed part was also effected. When Lp was 10 mm or less, the turbulent intensity of the edge part did not change significantly as the Re number increased. The reattachment point in the recirculation area did not appear at Lp of 10 mm or less and was not affected by the vortex. In the case of 3,000 ≤ Re, the reattachment length of the wall surface of the sleeve-jointed part was nearly constant as Lp increased.

This research was performed to investigate the effects of the location of recirculation port on the wastewater treatment efficiency of an anaerobic hybrid reactor consisted of a fluidized bed and a packed bed. The recirculation port was located either at the top of the packed bed (Reactor 2) or above the fluidized bed (Reactor 1). Media for the fluidized bed and the packed bed were granular activated carbon and Pall ring-type plastic media. respectively. At organic loading rates(OLR) up to $6.2kg\;COD/m^3-day$. Reactor 2 showed somewhat better performance than Reactor 1 with COD removal efficiencies of 85.0-95.2%. The COD removal efficiencies of the reactors drastically deteriorated at OLRs above $6.2kg\;COD/m^3-day$, and the tendency was more severe for Reactor 1 than for Reactor 2. Eventhough the two reactors showed similar effluent SS concentrations at OLRs below $3.6kg\;COD/m^3-day$, Reactor 2 showed higher effluent SS concentrations than Reactor 1 at OLRs above $5.3kg\;COD/m^3-day$. Reactor 2 was stabler than Reactor 1 with a methane production rate of $5.5kg\;COD/m^3$-day at the OLR of $13.3kg\;COD/m^3-day$. An abrupt increase in effluent volatile acid concentration was observed at the OLR of $6.2kg\;COD/m^3-day$ for Reactor 1 and $7.1kg\;COD/m^3-day$ for Reactor 2. and the increase was greater in Reactor 1. In conclusion. the range of OLR for adequate treatment in the hybrid reactor was determined according to the location of the internal recirculation port. It is more desirable for higher OLRs to locate the recirculation port at the top of the packed bed in order to utilize the whole volume of the reactor.

It is the purpose of the study to investigate how high school students understand the concept of carbon cycle according to their spatial perception ability. For this, a total of 30 male students and 33 female students, who belong to the science course of the 2nd grade at a general co-education high school located in a megalopolis of Korea and have finished the class of Earth Science I in the first semester, took part in the spatial perception ability test, and four male students and four female students were selected as members of two groups : one group of higher spatial perception ability and the other group of lower spatial perception ability, and they agreed to participate in the study and have got the test of the carbon cycle concept. The results are as followings. It was found that the students who had higher spatial perception ability recorded more scores in the carbon cycle concept, state change concept, and process concept at the factor of word association and the carbon cycle concept, state change and process concept at the factor of drawing than those who had lower spatial perception ability. Connecting link used in the systemic viewpoint was disclosed like this in the factor of causal map of those who had higher spatial perception ability : one student 2 and another one student 1 and the other two students 0 : and in the factor of drawing three students 1 and the other 0 ; But nothing was found in the factors of causal map and drawing of those who had lower spatial perception ability. In addition, it was also found that those students who had higher spatial perception ability, when compared with those students who had lower spatial perception ability, have understood the fact that carbon moves through the interaction of the earth system's lower parts; Three students, who showed higher spatial perception ability, had a low level of systemic thinking concept, and one student who had higher spatial perception ability and four students who had lower spatial perception ability did not have a systemic thinking concept.
The aim of this study is to examine effects of a yoga program for children on school stress of the elementary school children. To achieve this goal, total 10 students out of 231 in 6 classes among the third graders in M elementary school in B city were selected as subjects for this study. After regular school hours, they participated in a children's yoga program for 16 times for 45 minutes per session in the course of 8 weeks. An ethnographic interview was conducted to identify the effects of the program. During the initial stage of the children's yoga program, the participants were interviewed preliminarily. An analysis of areas and an analysis of classifications were made based on the initial interview results, and an area classification table was drawn on the school stress perceived by the elementary school children. After the yoga program ended, a follow up interview was made to apply an analysis of components by comparing changes in the school stress level due to a yoga effect. A research report was written through a cycle of addition and supplement in which the previous data analysis was complemented and corrected by new findings of the study. As a result of the ethnographic interview to analyze the school stress perceived by the elementary school children, and an examination of the changes in the school stress level, the children's yoga program proved to be significantly effective in reducing the school stress. However there were limitations to a certain degree in stress reduction. Details of such findings in each sub-category are as follow. First, as a result of the initial interview analysis, the school stress was classified broadly into 4 categories of study stress, friendship stress, teacher stress, and school environment stress. Second, the study stress as the first category of the school stress was classified into 3 sub-categories of homework, class, and exam stresses. In spite of minor differences among 3 sub-categories, the stress was reduced in general. Third, the friendship stress as the second category of the school stress was also classified into 3 sub-categories of bullying, alienation, and performing one's duty. There were minor differences among sub-categories, however stress reduction also appeared with the exception of the performing one's duty category which had relatively little effect from the yoga program. Fourth, regarding the teacher stress as the third school stress, a classification was made into 3 sub-categories of preference, penalty, and teaching method. Minor differences among the 3 sub-categories notwithstanding, stress reduction appeared with the exception of the teaching method stress which had relatively little effect from the yoga program. Fifth, the school environment stress as the fourth category of the school stress was classified into 2 sub-categories of school meals and facilities. Minor differences between the 2 categories notwithstanding, stress reduction appeared with the facilities stress having relatively little effect.

DNA computing technology makes the interests on DNA storage and DNA watermarking / steganography that use the DNA information as a newly medium. DNA watermarking that embeds the external watermark into DNA information without the biological mutation needs the reversibility for the perfect recovery of host DNA, the continuous embedding and detecting processing, and the mutation analysis by the watermark. In this paper, we propose a reversible DNA watermarking based on circular histogram shifting of DNA code values with the prevention of false start codon, the preservation of DNA sequence length, and the high watermark capacity, and the blind detection. Our method has the following features. The first is to encode nucleotide bases of 4-character variable to integer code values by code order. It makes the signal processing of DNA sequence easy. The second is to embed the multiple bits of watermark into -order coded value by using circular histogram shifting. The third is to check the possibility of false start codon in the inter or intra code values. Experimental results verified the our method has higher watermark capacity 0.11~0.50 bpn than conventional methods and also the false start codon has not happened in our method.

In order to investigate the re-carbonation behaviors of limestones in an oxy-circulating fluidized bed combustor (Oxy-CFBC), the re-carbonation characteristics of domestic 4 different limestone samples were analyzed in a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA-N1000) with the higher concentration of $CO_2$. Effect of reaction temperature ($600{\sim}900^{\circ}C$) and $CaCO_3$ content (77~95%) of limestones were determined and the mass change of the CaO was observed. Under the temperature of $800^{\circ}C$, the conversion rate increased with increasing reaction temperature. However, the conversion rate decreased with increasing reaction temperature over $800^{\circ}C$. In the case of $CaCO_3$ content, the conversion was remarkably different at $870^{\circ}C$. In addition, reaction rate equations for simulating the re-carbonation of limestone by using gas solid reaction models were proposed in this study.
Networked digital signage downloads necessary multimedia contents from a large-sized storage on WAN to its local disk of a limited size before starting their playback. If the required time to download the entire contents gets longer, a start time to play the contents at the digital signage could be delayed. In this paper, we propose a hybrid storage architecture that not only inserts an iSCSI storage layer between the existing local disk and the WAN storage, but offers a contents caching scheme in order to obtain all the necessary contents in digital signage rapidly. The proposed caching scheme determines how to place the downloaded contents both in the local disk and the iSCSI storage. Uniquely, the proposed caching scheme manages the iSCSI storage space by dividing it into two regions: (1) in one region, the digital signage can play the contents directly without downloading them into the local disk; (2) in the other region, the digital signage cannot. Performance evaluations on a simulator and an actual system with workloads of various contents show that a contents-downloading time of the hybrid storage architecture is at maximum three times shorter than that of the existing storage architecture.
