Disaggregate Demand Forecasting and Estimation of the Optimal Price for UTIS Service (무선교통정보수집제공시스템(UTIS) 서비스의 이용 수요 예측 및 이용료 적정 수준 산정에 관한 연구)

  • This study reports UTIS(Urban Traffic Information System), which has been generalized in developed countries through brisk research and development and is being promoted for introduction by National Police Agency and Road Traffic Authority to reduce the astronomical amount of social expenses including traffic congestion expenses. Also this study investigates the proper charges for using by the preestimate of demand and contentment according to methods of payment after the service is introduced. The results of this study are as follows. First, demand forecast model is constructed by Binary Logit Model. Second, forecast models of using aspects of UTIS service according to methods of payment are established by Ordered Probit Model. Third, the proper charges for using of UTIS service according to methods of payment are presented to the supplier in the aspects of users. For this, preferences by using aspects and methods of payment are captured. And unit elasticity of coefficient of utilization is understood through responsiveness analysis according to methods of payment.

Analyzing the Determinants and Estimate cost against Resettlement on New Town Project Using Ordinal Logit Model (순서형로짓모형을 이용한 재정비촉진지구의 재정착비용추정 및 결정요인 분석)

  • The aim of this paper is to analyze resettlement cost and decision factors of resettlement since Redevelopment Promotion Projects. Range of resettlement cost was averagely increased 204% by using actual data. Consequently, the research is operated for aboriginal people in these areas by a questionnaire. The questionnaire ask a payment range of the resettlement cost with 4 stages; 150% and less, 180% and less, 200% and less, excess of 200%. Research scope is consist of Seo-kumsa, Civil Park, Chung-mu and Young-do. These areas are redevelopment of Busan metropolitan city. Resettlement is come under the influence of the resettlement cost and many factors by each specific character. In many alternatives for resettlement, understanding the reason why aboriginal peoples select a certain alternative and if we actualize the proper alternative, aboriginal peoples' resettlement ratio will be increased. Moreover it ask housing characteristic, housing life pattern for understanding aboriginal peoples' characteristic. Also data analysis model is ordinal logistic model'. In analysis result, resettlement cost is 150% of aboriginal assets. and significance parameter is sex, job, income, region, affection, attachment, housing possession type, size and others have influence on aboriginal peoples' resettlement.

A Study on Transfering Demands from Duribal to Taxi Using Ordered Logistic Model (순서형 로짓 모델을 이용한 두리발 이용자의 일반택시로의 수단전환에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, due to THE MOBILITY ENHANCEMENT FOR THE MOBILITY IMPAIRED ACT, local governments have tired to make various efforts on special transport services(STS), low-flow bus, and installing elevator in subway stations for handicapped people. But in case of STS, insufficient numbers of taxi are raised against the increasing demand of hadicapped people due to the limited budget. This study investigated actual use condition of STS and characteristics of selection of handicapped people on Duribal. In addition, an ordered-logistic model was employed for developing taxi use prediction model considering taxi fare discounts for diverting Duribal demands to taxies. The results can be a significant basic data for transportation policies to improve travel efficiency of the handicapped.

  • The aim of this study is to suggest the development direction of future space management. It is not a simple question that why people visit specific place. People visit a place for escape from routine, to learn from other people, spend a time with their friends or lover, to take a rest and get some fresh idea, to relieve stress, and for shopping. It is depend on a various visit motivation with complicated a psychological phenomenon. Visitor participate in choice a specific place by various motivation and purpose. Generally, visitor motivation accepted understanding visitor behavior and process of selected a place. Understanding that why people visit specific place can use a marketing and policy making of visit place so we need to study about visitor motivation. Data were collected through offline surveys from 501 people who have visited four survey place. Empirically analyzed the determinations of visitor motivation and estimate the place by using Ordinal Logit Model.

The Comparision of the Influencing Factors on the Subjective Health Status of the Urban-Rural Elderly (도시-농촌 노인의 주관적 건강수준에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 비교)

  • Population aging has been an increasing social issue and the elderly health has become one of the most urgent public attentions in Korea. The aims of this paper are to compare the subjective health status according to the personal characteristics, social networks, and daily leisure activities of the urban-rural elderly, and to analyze the influencing factors of their subjective health status. Using 2011 elderly survey data, ordered logit Model was established to extract influencing factors of the elderly health status. The results show that socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of individual as well as frequent social contacts and daily activities within neighborhood environments influence the level of health status of the elderly. The most significant factors affecting the elderly health are personal economic conditions such as the education achievement level and household income. The elderly who visit an elderly welfare center in Seoul has almost 1.82 times higher odds of increasing health status level than not to visit an elderly welfare center. This study may give some important policy implications of the elderly health promotion strategy in urban-rural communities.

  • This study aims to analyze determinants of mountainous and coastal area's housing value caused by the characteristics of the natural environment. As the current issue of housing value is throwing the spotlight on the climate change recently, environmental features are significantly important than before. There were a lot of studies on the influence of environmental characteristics to the housing price but these studies were mostly dealing with the housing price in especially apartments nearby Han-river in Seoul, South Korea. To have differences with existing studies, environmental characteristics estimating housing value are classified as 8 elements including the view, the wind speed, and the humidity. The result of this study is in following; there were few significant environmental variables in mountainous housing value growth model. This means people living in mountainous area recognize on environmental factors more such as housing or complex characteristics. People living in coastal area are much more sensitive environment variables in their residence value than mountainous area. Especially, the view for the ocean is the most important variable in housing value, and wind speed is second positively significant. Humidity and safety of disaster are negatively significant variables.

Risk Factors Affecting the Injury Severity of Rental Car Accidents in South Korea : an Application of Ordered Probit Model (순서형 프로빗 모형을 이용한 렌터카 사고 심각도 영향요인 분석)

  • Over the past five years (2010-2014), the total number of traffic accidents has decreased from 226,878 to 223,552 with decrease of 0.37 percent each year. The death toll has also decreased from 5,505 to 4,762. However, the number of rental car accidents and fatalities has been steadily increased. Despite of its growth, no previous study has been conducted on rental car accident severity. This study analyzed data of 18,050 rental car accidents in South Korea collected from 2010 to 2014 and then processed in order to identify which factors could affect the accident severity. Seventeen factors related to rental car accident severity were grouped into four categories: driver, vehicle, roadways and environment. As a result of the ordered probit model analysis, fourteen variables excluding age, intersection, and day of week were found to affect the severity of rental car accidents. The results of the study summarized as follows. First of all, violation of traffic regulations such as speeding increase the severity of rental car accidents. Secondly, rental accident severity is higher at curved sections of complicated roadway, which the driver's field of view is impaired. The results of this study can be used to reduce the severity of rental car accidents in transportation safety.

  • This study aims to analysis of determinants of the residents satisfaction of purchased rental housing and currently being implemented policy of supporting low-income families are empirically evaluated through the residential evaluation of purchased rental housing residents. Purchased rental housing users are possible to live in currently residing community consistently, have advantages for fewer problems of the phenomenon of social isolation, exclusion and preventing slumism of low-income families, are expected to increase in the future. First of all, the characteristics of residential environment, housing expenses and a head of household were examined for the residential environment evaluation of the residents of purchased rental housing, on the basis of this, the characteristics of internal and external house and residential location are examined each for the determinants of the residential environment satisfaction of purchased rental housing. The variables that affect residential satisfaction according to residential location are public facilities, educational facilities and welfare facilities respectively. In particular, the higher the satisfaction of access to welfare facilities, the higher the satisfaction of residential location of purchased rental housing was analyzed. The variables affecting the residential satisfaction according to the internal and external characteristics of house are significant in window status, cracking, heating facilities, housing scale and management.
