A Study on Curriculum for Problem Solving Field in the Computer Science of Elementary School (초등학교 컴퓨터과학 교육과정 '문제 해결' 영역 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Since 2001, we have taught computer in elementary school to become the advanced country of IT in the 21C. However, it is criticized that the contents of information literacy curriculum are weak because they are not the computer science but mainly the computer skills. In 2005, "ICT Education Guide Revision" is published. Thereafter, the curriculum has systematic frame because of the addition of the contents of computer science. However, the curriculum for improving the ability of problem solving which is one of the abilities of human in the information society is somewhat defective. Therefore, in this paper I analysed the curriculums of problem solving field in elementary school level of some countries and proposed the revised curriculum of problem solving field of elementary computer science course.

  • 정보화 시대의 수학 교육은 수학을 체험해 볼 수 있게 하여(Doing Mathematics) 수학적 힘을 향상시키는 데 초점을 두어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 수학의 기본 지식 ${\cdot}$ 추론 능력 ${\cdot}$ 문제 해결력 ${\cdot}$ 수학적 아이디어의 표현 및 교환 능력 그리고 사고의 유연함 ${\cdot}$ 인내 ${\cdot}$ 흥미 ${\cdot}$ 지적 호기심 ${\cdot}$ 창의력을 길러 주는 다양한 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구는 연립방정식과 일차함수 단원에서 그래핑 계산기를 활용하여 다양한 표상을 통한 수학 개념의 연계지도와 수학 학습 태도 개선을 위한 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습 모델을 구안 ${\cdot}$ 적용하는 데 주안점을 두고자 한다.

An Analysis of Mediation Function between Concrete and Abstract of the Model (구체와 추상을 연결하는 모델의 중재기능 분석)

  • There have been raised the question that students have been of no interst in mathematcs and incompetent for solving real world problem because students have been recognized mathematcs as abstract knowldege. We research whether students' modeles developed in modeling activity can mediate between concrete and abstract. The analysis of our case study revealed that students' modeles aren't decontextualized abstraction but is located in situated abstraction that is a network connecting between concrete and abstract. Thus, these modeles are a tool mediating between concrete and abstract. Also, students' modeling activities can provide students with the opportunity of being competent for solving real world problem.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate a new method for activating the metacognitive abilities that play a key role in the Mathematical Problem Solving Process (MPSP). The proposed research question is as follows: Can the MPSP activate metacognitive abilities of high school students in the pencil-and-paper environment using guidance material for metacognitive activities\ulcorner To solve this question, two case studies have been carried out. Two students for the study were selected via informal interview. They voluntarily took part in 13 experimental lectures. The activating paths of their metacognitive abilities in the MPSP were chronically described and analyzed. All the activating processes of the students focusing on the aspects of metacognitive behaviors were analyzed by means of interview, observation, self-report, and activity data. The two high school students participating in the MPSP voluntarily recognized and reflected their deficiencies in metacognitive abilities, and therefore maximized their own performance. They made quite significant progress in the course of activating their metacognitive abilities through voluntary participation and gained greater confidence in the MPSP. Hence they have become good problem solvers. They expressed not only the factors influencing their behavior but also their self-awareness during the metacognitive activities. In the long run, this experiment will increase possibilities for the internalization of the metacognitive process.

수학 내신성적에 비해 수능성적이 저조한 학생의 학습 특성에 관한 사례연구

  • 이 연구는 내신성적이 우수함에도 불구하고 수능성적이 저조한 학생들이 문제 해결과정에서 나타내는 특성과 수학불안 요인을 분석하는데 있다. 연구의 대상은 인천시 5고등학교 자연계열 2학년 학생 중 내신성적이 상위 10%안에 드나 수능성적(모의수능성적)은 그렇지 못한 학생 5명이고, 이들의 수학적 성향, 수학 성취도, 개인별 특성 등에 대한 사전 면담자료, 문제풀이과정에 대한 사후 심층면담자료, 현장노트, 수학불안검사를 바탕으로 그들의 특성과 수학불안 요인을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 내신성적은 좋으나 수능성적이 저조한 학생들의 수학 문제 해결 과정에서 나타나는 특성은 수학전 영역에서의 개념부족, 공식암기 부족 등으로 인하여 문제풀이계획을 세우지 못하거나 설사 문제를 푼다고 해도 계산 실수, 착각, 부주의 등으로 인해 정확한 답을 구하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. (2) 내신성적은 좋으나 수능성적이 저조한 학생들은 어느 정도의 수학 불안은 가지고 있었다. 불안의 요인은 개념부족, 응용력 부족 등 개인적 인지능력에 의한 저조한 수학 성취수준과 수학 공부시간 부족, 풀이시간 부족 등의 환경적 요인에 때문인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 수학개념이 부족한 학생일수록 수학불안 현상이 심하게 나타났다. 따라서 이들 학생들의 수학 문제풀이 과정 중에 나타나는 계산 실수, 부주의, 착각은 그들의 수학 자신감에 많은 악영향을 미치게 되므로, 교사가 이를 그냥 방관할 것이 아니라 적극적으로 확인하고 지도해줄 필요가 있다. 또 교실 수업에서도 수능시험에서 다루고 있는 수학 내적, 외적 문제해결문제, 추론문제, 응용문제, 통합문제에 대한 문제풀이 경험을 하게하여 수학불안을 해소해줄 필요가 있다.)값을 보였으나, 10,000Hz의 높은 측정주파수에서는 더 큰 $E_a$값을 나타냄으로서 반응온도변화에 민감함을 보여주었다.원으로부터 부유물을 증가로 사료되었으며, 이에 대한 대책마련이 시급한 것으로 사료되었다. 수질이 휴양용수로서 사용하는 데에 적합하도록 충분한 차집시설과 환경 기초시설의 설치 운영이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.TEX>$K_s$값이 높고 $V_m/K_s$비율은 낮아 수게에서 질소가 저농도 일 때에는 다른 미세조류와 비교하면 경쟁력이 떨어지고 질소에 대한 기질 친화력은 약한 것으로 나타났다. 낙동강 하류지역에서 M. aeruginosa가 대발생하는 시기에 수중 영양염의 농도 변동은 M. aeruginosa의 영양생리 kinetics 특성과 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타났다.부분을 보완하기 위한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. 연마방법 간에 상호 연관성이 없었다. FE-SEM관찰에서 레진전색제를 적용한 후의 표면은 모든 군에서 대체적으로 평활한 표면을 나타내었다. 4. 동일한 복합레진과 연마방법으로 처리된 군에서 레진전색제 적용 전과 후의 표면조도 값은 M1B군이 M1군보다, S1B군이 S1군보다 통계학적으로 높게 나타났으며, M4B군과 M5B군은 각각 M4군과 M5군 보다. 그리고 S5B군은 S5군 보다 통계학적으로 낮게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 본 연구를 종합하여 보면, 복합레진의 종류에 따라 표면조도의 순서는 다르게 나타났고, polyester strip 하에서 복합레진이 중합된 경우 가장 낮은 표면조도 값과 평활한 표면을 제공하였으며 전반적으로 anishing bur는 가장 높은 Ra값과 거친 표면을 제공하였다.

  • The aim of Information Education is to improve the problem-solving skills based on Computational Thinking. In the current elementary school curriculum, there is no independent information subject. So, it will get used to browse the sub-element being applied implications for Computational Thinking through an analysis of teaching and leaning elementary mathematic scene. In this paper reveal the relationship sub-element of the Computational Thinking for solving problems through teaching and learning scene in elementary mathematics.

Development and Application of a WOE-based Smart Learning System for Improving Written Problem Ability of Students with Learning Disabilities (학습장애학생의 문장제 문제 해결 능력향상을 위한 WOE기반 스마트러닝 시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • Students with learning disabilities need special education programs. In the traditional class, those students may not be satisfied with their studies. Thus, it is important to provide individualized class for those students. Classes using smart devices may give one of the solutions for individualized class. Unlike the typical mathematical problems, written problems require students to use various cognitive strategies, mathematical reasoning, inference ability, and so on. In this sense, written problems are good tools to develop the logical minds for students with learning disabilities. In this paper, a WOE-based smart learning system is proposed to help those students develop learning abilities. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, students can learn naturally problem-solving abilities by following the work-out examples given from experts. Second, the proposed system can invoke motivation and interests of students using attractive icons and guidance rules provided with smart phone. Third, the proposed system can provide self-directed study for those students. The proposed system is applied for some students with learning disabilities. The following results are obtained. First, the individualized study can be possible since the system can provide continuous feedbacks and level-differentiated classes. Second, students can increase written problem solving abilities with natural understanding of study contents from smart phone. Finally, satisfaction, study motivation, and self-concept of students are increased through their successful experience during study processes.

Using GSP Construction Improving Figure Analysis Ability of Pre-service Elementary Teachers (예비 초등 교사의 도형 분석 능력 신장을 위한 GSP 작도의 활용)

  • The purpose of the study is to enhance the figure analysis ability for pre-service elementary teacher by using GSP. To do this, we limited to teaching competence divide into ability various problem-solving, extract key elements, predict the difficulty of student and investigated the initial of them, the reality of GSP construction. As results, pre-service elementary teachers made errors, proposed teaching focused on the character using in the problem solving, and found that in one particular difficulties to find the students. The reality of GSP construction activity was possible to explore through the partially constructed a number of various properties, but we found to have difficulty in the connection between concepts. and integrated view of the problem analysis. After visual identification and exploration through the GSP construction, problem-solving ability became a little more variety and changed their direction in order to focus the student's anticipated difficulties. From these results, we could extract some pedagogical implications helping pre-service teachers to reinforce teaching competence by GSP construction.

An Analysis of students' problem solving ability on the equivalent mathematics situations -Focused on equations, inequalities, and functions- (동일한 수학적 상황에서 문제해결 능력 분석 연구 -방정식.부등식과 함수를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine that high school students recognize mathematical situation when they are requested for changing identical mathematics situations into different situations. The results of the study are followings. First, percentage of correct answers to the questions of turning equal mathematical situation into function is higher than the one of turning equal mathematical situation into equation and inequality. As a result of individual interview for comprehensibility of the students on these relations, it is found that if degree goes up and there is different expressions of questionaries although mathematical situation is identical, it affects comprehensibility of the subjects. Second, we found that they cannot understand identical mathematics situations because they have trouble in drawing graph or applying to get the answer while many students understand a point of intersection on the graph as a correct answer. Third, As a result of individual interview for comprehensibility of the students on relation between equation, inequality and function, we found that students manage to get correct answer even without perfect comprehensibility on this relation.

창의성 증진을 위한 수학 활동 프로그램과 평가 방법의 소개

  • 최근 학교 수학교육에서는 창의성 교육을 강조하고 있으며, 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 창의성을 향상시키기 위해서는 기계적인 계산에 의해서 한 가지 답을 구하는 학습보다는 탐구하고, 추측하고, 논리적으로 추론하고, 다양한 문제해결 전략을 구사할 수 있는 능력을 키우는 프로그램이 필요하다. 또, 이러한 프로그램이 학생들에게 활동을 통해 다양한 경험을 제공할 수 있다면 더욱 효과적일 것이다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 다양한 창의성 프로그램을 소개하였고, 창의성을 평가하는 방법을 소개하였다.
