  • 본 논문에서는 고도유지 제어기를 포함한 자율이동체의 수직 채널 안정화 루프를 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 일반적으로 널리 사용되고 있는 고전적인 수직채널 댐핑루프와 달리 고도정보와 함께 속도정보를 이용하여 궤적의 고도변화가 큰 이동체에 대하여 빠른 응답특성을 갖도록 한다. 루엔-버거(Luenberger) 관측기 구조를 이용함으로써 속도정보를 활용한 수직채널 안정화루프의 체계적 설계가 가능함을 보인다. 제안된 설계 방법에 대하여 모의실험을 통해 제안한 기법의 성능 및 유용성을 확인한다.

Convective Heat Transfer in a Channel with an Isothermal Rectangular Beam (한 개의 등온사각빔이 부착된 채널에서의 대류열전달)

  • Thermal energy transport in a two-dimensional horizontal and vertical channel with an isothermal rectangular beam attached to one adiabatic wall is investigated from the numerical solution of Navier-Stokes and energy equations. The solutions have been obtained for dimensionless aspect equations. The solutions have been obtained for dimensionless aspect ratios of beam, H/B=$0.25{sim}4$, Reynolds numbers, Re=$50{\sim}500$ and Grashof numbers, Gr=$0{\sim}5{\times}10^4$. The mean Nusselt number, $\overline{Nu}$ for horizontal and vertical channels shows same value at Gr=0 and increases as Gr increases and decreases as H/B increases at Re=100. $\overline{Nu}$ of vertical channel shows higher in $0.25{\leq}H/B<1.1$ and lower in $1.1{\leq}H/B{\leq}4.0$ than that of horizontal channel at $Gr=10^4$, Re=100. $\overline{Nu}$ of vertical channel shows higher in $0.25{\leq}H/B<1.1$ and lower in $1.1{\leq}H/B=1.0$ than that of horizontal channel at Re=100, $0<Gr{\leq}5{\times}10^4$. A comparison between the experimental and numerical results shows good agreement.

Study of Stokes Flow Past a Vertical Plate in a Two-Dimensional Channel (2차원 채널 내의 수직 평판을 지나는 스톡스 유동에 대한 연구)

  • A two-dimensional Stokes flow past a vertical plate in a channel is analyzed. The vertical plate is located at the center of the channel, and plane Poiseuille flow exists far upstream and downstream of the vertical plate. The Stokes approximation is used, and the flow is investigated analytically using the method of eigenfunction expansion and the point collocation method. From the analysis, the stream function and pressure distribution are obtained, and the pressure and shear stress distributions on the plate and channel wall are calculated. The additional pressure drop induced by the vertical plate and the force exerted on it are calculated as functions of the length of the vertical plate. For a typical length of the vertical plate, the streamline pattern and pressure distribution are shown. In addition, numerical analysis of laminar flow with a small Reynolds number is carried out to analyze the effect of a small Reynolds number on the flow pattern.

  • 스테레오-멀티채널 업믹스(Stereo-to-Multichannel Upmix)기술은 시장의 대부분을 차지하는 스테레오 음원을 홈시어터와 같은 멀티채널 스피커 재생 환경에서 효과적으로 재생하기 위한 채널 포맷 변환 기술을 말한다. 수평적인 공간감뿐만 아니라 수직적인 공간감을 재현하기 위하여 10.2, 22.2채널 환경의 경우 고도 채널이 추가되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 채널 환경에서 수직, 수평적인 공간감을 재현하기 위하여 새로운 초기 반사음을 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 진폭 패닝방법을 이용하여 전방의 가상 음원들에 의하여 발생되는 리시버 위치에서의 음압을 일치시킴으로써 기존 알고리즘이 가지지 못했던 이론적인 배경을 갖는다. 청취 평가 실험을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘은 음장의 수직, 수평적인 폭을 증가시키며, 좀 더 안정적인 음상 정위 성능을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

  • For perpendicular magnetic recording channels, it is hard to expect improving the performance by using the PRML or NPML. Hence, we exploit LDPC code to improve the performance. In this paper, we examine a single message-passing detector/decoder matched to the combination of a perpendicular magnetic recording channel detector and an LDPC code decoder. We examine the performance of channel iteration with joint LDPC code on perpendicular magnetic recording channel, and simplify the complexity of the message-passing detector algorithm.

  • In this paper, we analyze the burst error performance of LDPC codes on perpendicular magnetic recording(PMR) channel. When burst error is generated on PMR channel, we use channel state information(CSI) to set the LLR information of channel detector zero. We consider the rate 0.94 LDPC codes and use SOVA as channel detector with low complexity.

  • The investigation of the fuel cladding temperature behavior and heat transfer mechanism during the reflooding phase of a LOCA plays an important role in performance evaluation of ECCS and safety analysis of water reactors. Reflooding experiments were performed with horizontal and vertical flow channels to investigate the effect of coolant flow channel orientation on rewetting process. Emphasis was mainly placed on the CANDU reactor which has horizontal pressure tubes in core, and the results were compared with those of vertical channel. Also to investigate the rewetting process visually, the experiments by using a rod in annulus and a quartz tube heated outside were performed. It can be concluded that the rewetting velocity in horizontal flow channel is clearly affected by flow stratification, however, the average rewetting velocity is similar to those in vertical flow channel for same conditions.

  • In this paper, we analyzed Alamouti based the MIMO-OFDM system in an underwater vertical communication channels. These in consideration both the transmission loss the multipath loss which is suitable for underwater environment are necessary method to improve the efficiency and communication performance in underwater communication. This paper is modeled in an environment that caused the error, considered each simulated the multi-path loss, transmission loss, the Doppler spread in order to implement a practical communication environment and simulated through the MIMO-OFDM system of Alamouti STBC method. The MIMO-OFDM system 2Tx-2Rx of Alamouti STBC scheme in underwater vertical communication system is obtained about 3~5 dB gain as compare with its 2Tx-1Rx scheme with reference $10^{-3}$ BER.

  • A novel four-channel narrowband wavelength demultiplexer using integrated four vertical directional coupler structures is proposed and theoretically investigated. Four ridge waveguide with different ridge width are vertically coupled to a strip-loaded waveguide which results four different wavelengths filtered out to each ridge waveguide. In order to reduce the side-lobes, the coupling coefficients are varied along the propagation direction. The spectral responses of channels were found to be quite uniform. An average channel spacing of 7 nm with power coupling efficiency of ~90%, 3-dB passband width of 2 nm, and 20 dB side-lobe suppression ratio was achieved.

  • We proposed a highly integrated 3-dimensional NOR Flash memory array by using vertical 4-bit SONOS NOR flash memory. This structure has a vertical channel, so it is possible to have a long enough channel without extra cell area. Therefore, we can avoid second-bit effect, short channel effect, and redistribution of injected charges. And the proposed array structure is based on three-dimensional integration. Thus, we can obtain a NOR flash memory having $1.5F^2$/bit cell size.
