An Analysis on Leveled High-School Students Using the Reading Activities in Mathematics (독서 자료를 활용한 수준별 고등학생들의 특성 분석)

  • Nowadays the researches on the reading materials about Mathematics are emphasized and quitely active. But most researches have just proposed the lists of books or materials of the reading activities in Mathematics. Therefore we choose the subject for this study as the analysis of the characteristic attitudes about Mathematics for 3-leveled (high, middle, low) high-school students who have studied Mathematics using the reading activities. After the applications of reading activities for leveled students, we have the following results. For the low-leveled students, the high-leveled(=difficult to understand) reading materials may loose the confidence and interest about Mathematics. The appropriate reading materials for leveled students will increase the interest and change the attitude about Mathematics. We expect that the reading activities in Mathematics extend the logical and rational thinking power that our society has required.

Effect of Storage in Different Commercial Semen Extenders on the Motility, Viability and Fertility In Vitro of Boar Spermatozoa (수퇘지 정자의 운동성, 생존성 및 체외수정 능력에 대한 시판 액상 정액 보존액과 보존 기간의 영향)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the effect of semen extenders on the motility, viability and fertility in vitro of spermatozoa during storage of fresh boar semen diluted in different commercial extenders used for pig artificial insemination (AI). In this experiment, semen were diluted in Androhep plus, Beltsville Thawing Solution (BTS), Modena, Seminark and Vitasem LD. Five ejaculates were collected from three Duroc boars and sub-samples were diluted ($30{\times}10^6$ spermatozoa/ml) in different extenders. Semen was stored at $170^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. Sperm motility and viability was assessed using Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis (CASA) and flow-cytometry on 1, 3, 5 and 10 day post collection The motility of spermatozoa stored in different extenders was gradually decreased by increasing the duration of storage of semen. However, there was not significant1y different in the sperm motility and viability among other extenders. On the other hand, the in vitro-matured oocytes were fertilized and cultured in vitro to assess the fertility of boar spermatozoa stored for 3 and 10 days in different extenders. The percentage of morula and blastocyst were taken as indicators of fertility in vitro of spermatozoa. Therefore, there were no differences in the rate of embryos developed to the molular and blastocyst stage. There were no differences in the motility and fertility in vitro among 5 kinds of commercial boar semen extenders.

Relative Analysis between Fertility and Protein Changes in Semen of Different Species in Pigs (돼지 품종간 정액 내에서 수정 능력과 단백질 변화와의 관계 분석)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between fertility and protein pattern change using in vitro fertilization, analysis of sperm characteristics and two-dimensional gel electrophoresis in different pig types. In results, the viability and mitochondria integrity of sperm were higher significantly (p<0.05) but the portions of acrosome reaction was lower significantly (p<0.05) in Duroc and $F_1$ (potbellied ${\times}$ PWG miniature pig) than PWG miniature. On in vitro fertilization to investigate fertility, the fertility of $F_1$ semen war higher significantly (p<0.05) than in Duroc and PWG miniature pig. On the other hand, protein patterns showed similar function among the different boar semen. Especially, the heat shock 70 kDa 1-like and G patch domain-containing protein 4 were significantly (p<0.05) higher expressed in $F_1$ than in Duroc and PWG miniature pig. The proteins associated with mitochondria in Duroc were significantly (p<0.05) higher expressed than in $F_1$ and PWG miniature pig. The developmental rates to blastocyst stage of oocytes fertilized with sperm of $F_1$ pig were significantly (p<0.05) higher than in PWG miniature pig. However, phosphoglycerate kinase 2 and zinc finger protein 431 were significantly (p<0.05) higher expressed in PWG miniature pig than in $F_1$ and Duroc pigs. In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that different proteins were expressed in different pig types, and were associated with a sperm functions and embryo development.

Understanding the Use of Community Informatics: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach (지역정보 시스템 이용모형 개발을 위한 이론적 고찰 및 실증적 연구)

  • This study proposed a theoretical framework that could explain the service use of a community informatics. The proposed community informatics use model was developed based on three theoretical models: (1) Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) from social psychology: (2) Uses and gratifications approaches from media use research; and (3) Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) from information technology use research. The proposed model consists of three basic components: expectations of the outcomes from use, approvals from important others, and perceivied controllability over using the service. The initially proposed model was assessed using structural equation modeling, and then re-sepcified in order to propose a better fitting model. The initially proposed and revised community informatics use models were discussed with their theoretical and practical implications.

  • This study considers the development of plug-in, which enables backup save using Maya SDK, API and MEL technologies. It also considers its realization in Maya program and the other various application programs. The various ways of backup save have been found by analyzing the difficulties of file management and storage when using many kinds of plug-in of Maya. An objective has been set as to increase the efficiency of the developer preventing the unintentional modification of the existing and overlapping file by using backup save plug-in. Based on a such objective, this study considers if a backup save is helpful to a graphic developer to use Maya program in more efficient way and if it improves the data maintenance. Currently, it can function as a backup save only within the Maya Program, but such plug-ins to be applied within various application programs are developed for giving more freedom to computer graphic designers.

  • Through opinion mining, we can analyze the degree of positive or negative sentiments that customers feel about important entities or attributes in online customer reviews. But, the limit of the opinion mining techniques is to provide only simple functions in analyzing the reviews. In this paper, we proposed novel techniques that can analyze the online customer reviews multi-dimensionally. The novel technique is to modify the existing OLAP techniques so that they can be applied to text data. The novel technique, that is, multi-dimensional analytic model consists of noun, adjective and document axes which are converted into four relational tables in relational database. The multi-dimensional analysis model would be new framework which can converge the existing opinion mining, information summarization and clustering algorithms. In this paper, we implemented the multi-dimensional analysis model and algorithms. we recognized that the system would enable us to analyze the online customer reviews more complexly.

  • In this paper, we design a ubiquitous home automation system for Korean domestic 33-Pyung Apartment based on USN environment. The core of this home automation system is to give Home the 'Intelligence' so that the house can analyze and memorize the occurrences and react spontaneously on the user requirements by means of the World Model, USN, and LBS etc. Ultimately, the resident of this intelligent home might access all of these ubiquitous environments without any feelings about the equipments and peripherals. The methods of user identification, image recognition, and the ultrasonic sensors locations have been applied to Korean domestic 35-Pyung Apartment, but they will be easily generalized to be an extended model because of the flexibility of the World Model. which are confirmed by the imaginary scenario presented at the end of the main left.

A Study on the Efficient Improvement of the Animatics for Animation Production in Education (애니메이션 교육을 위한 애니메틱스 제작의 효율적 방안 연구)

  • Animation is breathing life into drawings through motion. Animation is formed by the afterimage phenomenon, that is, deviation of sequential pictures in every frame makes a person possibly perceive it as a live video. Consequently, animation is mostly produced using traditional frame-by-frame methods. The study of relations on timing has been a major concern of animation theory. Nevertheless, issues of timing on production outcomes and effectiveness are mostly ignored. Special focus, analysis and leadership studies on timing are addressed on animatics. Creating better timing through animatics, that is writing movies, directing, scheduling and amending storyboard in pre-production stage, eventually shorten time to animation production. This research is centered on animatics as a cutting edge educational courses. This course will introduce students to the animation production skill and instructors to in-depth teaching points. One of the concepts that we want to go for is keeping animatics apart from mere storyboard. In conjunction with the animation theory, this research conducted under the focus of production of animatics will lead to more efficient way of education on animatics.

Usability and Accessibility Evaluation of South Korean and American Health-Related Websites for the Elderly (노인들을 위한 건강관련 웹사이트의 사용성과 접근성 평가)

  • 연구목적: 노인을 위한 건강정보 웹사이트들이 사용성과 접근성을 높이기 위해 지켜야 할 디자인 요소를 어떻게 반영하고 있는지 평가·비교함으로써 개선 방향을 제언하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 국내 및 미국에서 개발된 노인 대상의 건강정보 웹사이트를 각각 9개씩 선정하였다. 근거 기반의 웹디자인 지침서인 Make Your Website Senior Friendly: Checklist와 Research-based Web Design & Usability Guideline을 통합 수정하여 얻은 4개 영역의 평가 항목 48개를 적용해 두 명의 평가자가 선정된 총 18개 웹사이트를 평가하였다. 연구결과: '가독성' 영역 중 서체 선택, 줄 간격, 배경색과 글자색 선택 등은 양호하였으나 국내 웹사이트들 중에는 글자 크기가 조절되지 않는 경우가 빈번하였다. '정보의 표현과 구성' 영역에서 다수의 웹사이트들은 정보 배치 등이 우수하고 소비자 용어를 사용하는 노력을 보였다. 그러나 일부 국내 웹사이트들은 프린트 기능을 제공하지 않거나, 노인들의 저하된 인지 능력을 배려하려는 노력이 부족하였다. '미디어 사용' 영역에서 국내 웹사이트들은 글자 외에 다른 매체를 사용하는 빈도가 미국 웹사이트들에 비해 낮았고, 시청각 매체를 사용할 때는 동일한 내용을 문자로도 볼 수 있도록 하라는 권고안을 준수하지 않았다. '내비게이션과 검색의 용이성'에서는 메뉴나 링크의 명칭이 명확하며, 이용 중에도 쉽게 홈페이지로 돌아갈 수 있도록 구성되었다. 그러나 다수의 국내 사이트들이 사이트맵을 제공하지 않거나, 검색어의 철자오류 등에 대한 배려가 부족하였다. 결론: 국내 웹사이트들은 미국 웹사이트들에 비해 노인들의 사용성과 접근성을 높이는 것으로 밝혀진 연구 근거들을 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있었다. 노인 대상의 인터넷과 웹을 활용한 교육이 지속적으로 증가할 것이므로, 그 효과성을 높이기 위해 간호사들은 정보의 질 뿐만 아니라 디자인 측면의 중요성을 인식하고 실천할 수 있어야겠다.
