This study was investigated to analyze the inactivating point mutation and expression level of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) receptor mRNA. In first experiment, we analyzed the point mutation. Peripheral blood was collected from each patient. To screen individuals for the C566T mutation, PCR was performed for exon 7 of the FSH receptor gene in 10 patients. No inactivating point mutation of FSH receptor gene was identified in women with premature ovarian failure. To analyze the expression level of FSH receptor, mRNA expressions were examined by RT-PCR method using specific primers for the FSH receptor. The amount of FSH receptor mRNA expressed in POF patients was lower than that in the control group. But it was not significantly different. These finding suggests that lower expression of FSH receptor in premature ovarian failure patients might be the cause of the low response to the gonadotropin during the hyperstimulation in IVF-ET cycles.

The purpose of this study is to identify how tales are accepted and embodied as a new work in dance as performing arts, which are getting attention for its rapid growth in the area of cultural industries. Major performances of recently created and performed ancient tales including Baridaegi, Chun-Hyang story, Yeonohrangseohnye are analyzed here. With acceptance of tales into dance, vitality of creation by the eternal word of mouth, rich information contained in each tale and the variety of interpretation showed the possibility of a new interpretation based on the existing perspectives. There are three kinds of acceptances: diversification of narrative techniques of the subject, adoption of the issue of moral values as a topic, and acceptance of tradition and national consciousness. To satisfy the fundamental concern about the universe and human, and to create both worldwide and Korean dance contents, the images of tales are being reinterpreted into a new dimension beyond the boundary of time.

On this study, we analyzed the movie With gods's narrative structure. This movie makes most people who has seen it feel deeply moved. We think that people can get deep feeling from a film at last after people who has seen the movie accept a context, story, and a message of the movie gladly. We focused on a special system in this movie With gods that can make give an ordinary message and big touch to people. Also we focused on every episodes of every space in a movie, and someone who moved freely between the spaces. A repetitive form and repetitive contents in a narrative become a special code itself -repetitiveness- for people and make them do auto-communication. Specifically, an information, the movie's repetitiveness, out of people become a special code for them, and then that make people bring memory and new information by themselves. Watching movie, people can look back up on life with every trial in the movie. In short, a repetitiveness and an auto-communication are a special system in the movie, that can make deeply touched.

Transmedia has become a significant theme in the media studies sector and an academic discourse itself since its wide diffusion through Henry Jenkins' seminar book Convergence Culture. The aim of this essay is to examine the authentic intention of the proposer to understand its profound meaning and value in the research discourse. Firstly, Transmedia has originated as a part of the convergence culture research context, which is an identical approach in the 'active audience' research tradition. Thus, a history of the research in terms of Birmingham Cultural Studies tradition and its implication is scrutinized. Secondly, in respect of Pierre Levy's 'collective intelligence' which made significant influence on the making of the Convergence Culture and Transmedia Storytelling, the meaing of the transmedia discourse is studied. Thirdly and finally, the implication of this concept as a critical theory or Critique in the Cultural Studies tradition, which has highlighted the importance of the revelation of the binary oppositions and structures of dominance/resistance, with the interpretation of the role of the collective intelligence idea in the transmedia discourse, is studied.

The effects of cooking on the dietary fiber content in rice, brown rice, yellow soybean and black soybean were investigated. The dietary fiber contents were analyzed by Prosky's method(AOAC method) after boiling, microwave heating and autoclaving of the sample. It was showed that the different cooking methods resulted in different effects on the insoluble dietary fiber contents. Except yellow soybean, cooking time had little effect on insoluble dietary fiber contets in the other samples. The contents of soluble dietary fiber were generally increased by cooking. Increased cooking time reduced the content of soluble dietary fiber in brown rice but increased in rice. However, no significant differences caused by cooking time were observed for soluble dietary fiber in black soybean. The effects of cooking method on the total dietary fiber contents were similar to those of insoluble dietary fiber. The reasons for this might be that the main fraction of total dietary fiber was insoluble forms and the content of total dietary fiber was calculated as the sum of insoluble and soluble dietary fiber content.

The purpose of this study is to make practical suggestions to help multicultural adolescents' academic adaptation. For this purpose, changes in the academic adaptation of multicultural adolescents were identified, and longitudinal changes in self-esteem were explored in the relationship between bicultural acceptance attitude and academic adaptation. The data from the panel survey of multicultural youth of the Korea Youth Policy Institute was used for the analysis. The result of analyzing the longitudinal mediating effects of self-esteem between bicultural acceptance and academic adaptation through the multivariate potential growth model, the mediating effects of self-esteem was confirmed. Based on these results, the practical implications for enhancing the bicultural acceptance attitude, academic adaptation, and self-esteem of multicultural youth were presented.

The point of this research is verifing the longitudinal changes in youth multicultural acceptance and to verify predictive variables of multicultural acceptance. Among the Korean Children and Youth Panal data collected by the Korea Institute for Children and Youth Policy, 1,972 data from the 3rd, 5th, and 6th data of the first-year middle school panal were used, and the data were analyzed by applying the latent growth model, and the following analysis results were obtained. First, adolescents' multicultural acceptability showed an increasing pattern, and the extent of the increase was large at the point of transition from the 3rd year(3rd year of middle school) to the 5th year. Second, predicting the change of multicultural acceptability were found to be significant in the initial values of peer communication, community consciousness and in the rate of change, life-satisfaction, peer communication, community consciousness. This study proposed some plans to improve multicultural acceptance in adolescence basing on these results.
