Preparation and Gas Permeation Characteristics of Polyetherimide Hollow Fiber Membrane for the Application of Hydrogen Separation (수소분리를 위한 Polyetherimide계 고분자 중공사막의 제조 및 기체투과 특성)

  • In this study, polyetherimide-based hollow fiber membranes were manufactured using the NIPS (nonsolvent induced phase separation) method. THF, Ethanol, and LiNO3 were used as additives to control the morphology of the PEI-hollow fiber membranes. Furthermore, for the development of a high hydrogen separation membrane, the spinning conditions were optimized through the characterization of SEM and gas permeance. As a result, as the content of THF increased, the hydrogen/carbon dioxide selectivity increased. However, the permeance decreased due to the trade-off relationship. When ethanol was added, a finger-like structure was shown, and when LiNO3 was added, a sponge structure was shown. In particular, in the case of a hollow fiber membrane with an optimized PDMS coating layer, the permeance was 40 GPU and the hydrogen/carbon dioxide selectivity was 5.6.

  • Hydrogen production using solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOEC) is a promising technology because of its efficiency, cleanness, and scalability. Especially, high-power SOEC system has received a lot of attention from researchers. This study compared and analyzed the low-power and high-power SOEC system in term of economic. By using revenue requirement method, levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) was calculated for comparison. In addition, the sensitivity analysis was performed to determine the dependence of hydrogen cost on input variables. The results indicated that high-power SOEC system is superior to a low-power SOEC system. In the capital cost, the stack cost is dominant in both systems, but the electricity cost is the most contributed factor to the hydrogen cost. If the high-power SOEC system combines with a nuclear power plant, the hydrogen cost can reach 3.65 $/kg when the electricity cost is 3.28 ¢/kWh and the stack cost is assumed to be 574 $/kW.

  • 우리나라는 에너지의 안정적 공급과 에너지이용 과정에서 발생하는 환경적, 안보적 외부성을 최소화하는 에너지수급 구조를 마련하기 위해 2003년 12월 '제2차 신재생에너지 기술개발 및 이용보급 기본계획(2003-2012)'을 발표하였다. 이 계획에서는 2011년까지 전체 TPES의 $5\%$를 신재생에너지로 공급하는 것을 정책목표로 수립하고 수소, 태양광 그리고 풍력기술을 중점적으로 추진하기로 하였다. 특히 수소부문에서는 주택 및 건물용, 발전용, 수송용 연료전지의 개발을 중심으로 개발하여 세계 기술시장의 $20\%$를 확보한다는 계획을 발표하였다. 이러한 기술 잠재력을 기반으로 우리 정부도 미국이나 일본과 같이 수소경제로의 전환을 준비하고 있으며 2020년대 이후 우리나라의 에너지부문은 새로운 국면에 접어들 것으로 전망된다. 에너지나 환경기술의 효과적 인 개발을 위해서는 이들 기술의 직접적인 비용측면에 대한 분석 즉 경제성 평가와 새로운 기술변화로 인한 중장기적인 사회경제적 영향평가가 선행되어야 한다. 이러한 평가는 대상 기술의 사회경제적 파급효과가 광범위할수록 더욱 복잡한 분석이 요구된다. 본 연구의 주제인 수소에너지기술은 지금까지 이용되던 것과는 전혀 새로운 에너지캐리어(carrier)를 개발하는 것으로 에너지부문 및 여타 다른 산업부문이 공유하고 있는 에너지 관련 인프라의 전면적인 조정이 요구되며 에너지 이용과 관련된 사회경제적 측면의 급속한 변화를 수반한다. 본 연구는 수소경제로의 이행에 대한 사회경제적 영향평가의 방법론적 요소들과 기법을 제시한다."중등도 독성"으로 나타났다 이상의 결과는 전기도금을 이용하여 교정용 선재의 직경을 증가시키는 방법이 임상에 적용되기 위해서는 세포독성을 줄이기 위한 추가의 연구가 필요함을 시사하였다.의하게 가장 낮은 정지. 운동 마찰력을 보였고 브라켓-호선 각도가 증가함에 따라 유의하게 정지, 운동 마찰력도 증가하였다 (P<0.001)%$ 낮추지만(p value=0.260) 평균 $D_{max}$는 거의동일 하여($0.3\%$ 감소, p value=0.867), 전통적인 방법보다 우수성이 크게는 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 그러나 환자의 체곡선이 보상체와 잘 일치하는 경우에는 DII가 $18\%$까지 감소하였다. 결론 : Multistatic field 방법은 모든 환자에 대하여 선량분포의 균일성을 전반적으로 향상시키는 효과적인 방법으로 평가되는 반면 공용보상체의 사용은 보상체의 크기가 환자의 체 윤곽과 잘 일치하는 경우만 효과적으로, 적용의 범위에는 한계가 있는 방법으로 평가되었다.비교하여 계통에 따르는 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 가임기 여성의 방사선 진단 및 치료시 Rugh의 10일 법칙을 적용하여 착상전기 방사선 조사로 인한 부작용들을 적극적으로 예방하는 것이 매우 중요하다고 생각한다.equirements of the prematured infants during the early weeks of life. 모든 치근단 수준에서 비표준화 medium 크기 master cone 사용군이 ISO 표준화 규격의 master cone 사용군에 비해

  • As the demand for eco-friendly energy increases to overcome the energy shortage and environmental pollution crisis, hydrogen economy has been proposed as a potential solution. Accordingly, an economical and efficient hydrogen production is considered to be an essential industrial process. Research on applying hydrogen separation membranes for H2/CO2 separation to the production of highly concentrated hydrogen by purifying H2 and capturing CO2 simultaneously from synthetic gas produced by gasification is in progress nowadays. In high temperature environments, the membrane separation process using glassy polymeric membrane with H2 selectivity has the potential for CO2 capture performance, and is an energy and cost effective system since polybenzimicazole (PBI)-based separators show excellent chemical and mechanical stability under high-temperature operation conditions. Thus, the development of high-performance PBI hydrogen separators has been rapidly progressing in recent years. This overview focuses on the recent developments of PBI-based membranes including structure modified, cross-linked, blended and carbonized membranes for applications to the industrial hydrogen separation process.

Application of Artificial Neural Network to Flamelet Library for Gaseous Hydrogen/Liquid Oxygen Combustion at Supercritical Pressure (초임계 압력조건에서 기체수소-액체산소 연소해석의 층류화염편 라이브러리에 대한 인공신경망 학습 적용)

  • To develop an efficient procedure related to the flamelet library, the machine learning process based on artificial neural network(ANN) is applied for the gaseous hydrogen/liquid oxygen combustor under a supercritical pressure condition. For hidden layers, 25 combinations based on Rectified Linear Unit(ReLU) and hyperbolic tangent are adopted to find an optimum architecture in terms of the computational efficiency and the training performance. For activation functions, the hyperbolic tangent is proper to get the high learning performance for accurate properties. A transformation learning data is proposed to improve the training performance. When the optimal node is arranged for the 4 hidden layers, it is found to be the most efficient in terms of training performance and computational cost. Compared to the interpolation procedure, the ANN procedure reduces computational time and system memory by 37% and 99.98%, respectively.

  • For the economic analysis of fuel cells, levelized cost of electricity was calculated according to the type, capacity, and annual production of the fuel cells. The cost of every component was calculated through the system component breakdown. The direct cost of the system included stack cost, component cost, assembly, test, and conditioning cost, and profit markup cost were added. The effect of capacity and annual production was analyzed by fuel cell type. Sensitivity analysis was performed according to stack life, capital cost, project period, and fuel cost. As a result, it was derived how much the economic efficiency of the fuel cell improves as the capacity increases and the annual production increases.

A basic study on explosion pressure of hydrogen tank for hydrogen fueled vehicles in road tunnels (도로터널에서 수소 연료차 수소탱크 폭발시 폭발압력에 대한 기초적 연구)

  • Hydrogen fuel is emerging as an new energy source to replace fossil fuels in that it can solve environmental pollution problems and reduce energy imbalance and cost. Since hydrogen is eco-friendly but highly explosive, there is a high concern about fire and explosion accidents of hydrogen fueled vehicles. In particular, in semi-enclosed spaces such as tunnels, the risk is predicted to increase. Therefore, this study was conducted on the applicability of the equivalent TNT model and the numerical analysis method to evaluate the hydrogen explosion pressure in the tunnel. In comparison and review of the explosion pressure of 6 equivalent TNT models and Weyandt's experimental results, the Henrych equation was found to be the closest with a deviation of 13.6%. As a result of examining the effect of hydrogen tank capacity (52, 72, 156 L) and tunnel cross-section (40.5, 54, 72, 95 m2) on the explosion pressure using numerical analysis, the explosion pressure wave in the tunnel initially it propagates in a hemispherical shape as in open space. Furthermore, when it passes the certain distance it is transformed a plane wave and propagates at a very gradual decay rate. The Henrych equation agrees well with the numerical analysis results in the section where the explosion pressure is rapidly decreasing, but it is significantly underestimated after the explosion pressure wave is transformed into a plane wave. In case of same hydrogen tank capacity, an explosion pressure decreases as the tunnel cross-sectional area increases, and in case of the same cross-sectional area, the explosion pressure increases by about 2.5 times if the hydrogen tank capacity increases from 52 L to 156 L. As a result of the evaluation of the limiting distance affecting the human body, when a 52 L hydrogen tank explodes, the limiting distance to death was estimated to be about 3 m, and the limiting distance to serious injury was estimated to be 28.5~35.8 m.

A Study on Characteristics of Wood Pellet Gasification in Two Stage Gasifier (Two Stage Gasifier에서의 우드펠릿 가스화 특성 연구)

  • In this study, characteristics of wood pellet gasification was studied using a Two Stage Gasifier which is consisted of pyrolysis reactor and ultra high temperature reformer. The average yields of $H_2$, $CH_4$, CO, $CO_2$ were 16.7, 11.3, 37.2, 26.6 L/mim, conversion rate from biomass to gas was 65% in pyrolysis reactor and gas yields in reformer were 55.4, 0.8, 120.8, 56.8 L/mim, respectively. The hydrogen flow rate from reformer is obtained 360.1 L/hr. The most of $CH_4$ was decomposed from 12.3 to 0.3 vol.% while $H_2$ is from 18.2 to 23.7 vol.% in reformer by methane dry reforming, Boudouard reaction, oxidation and/or steam reforming. The amount of $H_2O$ generated by hydration reaction from reformer was 1111.8 g, its accelerated conversion of $CH_4$ to other products. The conversion rate from $CH_4$ to other Compounds was 97.2%. Cold gas efficiency was 53.2%.

  • 수소는 친환경 에너지원으로 주목 받고 있으며 미래 화석연료의 고갈에 대비할 수 있는 물질이다. 수전해는 natural gas steam reforming 또는 coal gasification 같은 방법에 비해 공해 물질의 방출이 없어 미래지향적인 기술로 간주된다. 저온형 수전해는 크게 알칼리 수전해와 고분자 전해질막 수전해로 구분되며 각각의 기술은 장단점을 가지고 있다. 알칼리 수전해는 비백금계 물질을 촉매로 사용할 수 있는 이점이 있으나 알칼리 용액으로 인한 부식, 높은 과전압에 의한 효율저하 그리고 간헐적인 사용에 적합하지 않다. 고분자 전해질막 수전해는 간헐적인 사용이 용이하고 높은 에너지 밀도를 가지지만 산성분위기로 인한 백금계 촉매를 사용해야 하므로 수소 생산 비용이 증가하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 알칼리 수전해와 고분자 전해질막 수전해 방식의 이점을 최대한 이용하고 단점을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 음이온 교환막(anion exchange membrane, AEM)을 적용한 셀 구조를 소개한다. 본문에서는 AEM 수전해 단위 셀의 구성요소들인 AEM 종류, 가스 확산층의 밀도와 운전조건인 알칼리 수용액 농도, 온도의 조건을 다르게 하여 최상의 구성 요소 조건 및 운전조건을 알아보았다.

A Study on Value of a Statistical Life and Cost-benefit Analysis about Hydrogen Bus Rollovers Safety Regulation (수소버스 전복 안전기준 도입에 따른 통계적 인명가치 및 비용편익효과 연구)

  • This study is a study to estimate the VSL (Value of a Statistical Life) and CBA (Cost-benefit analysis) of the rollover safety standard for hydrogen buses, VSL is an economic value concept used to quantify the benefits of avoiding death. CBA shows the effect of cost-benefit, and if B/C is greater than 1, there is a social effect. In order to estimate the VSL and CBA, the hydrogen bus introduction scenario was assumed to be optimistic (20,000 vehicles in 2030), neutral (15,000 vehicles in 2030), and pessimistic (10,000 vehicles in 2030), and the effect of reducing human casualties was estimated. As a result, except for the pessimistic market situation of introducing hydrogen buses (10,000 vehicles in 2030) and the VSL reduction ratio of 10%, all policies were judged to have high cost-benefit effects. These results indicate that the introduction of the rollover safety standard for hydrogen buses is a socially effective policy.
