  • This study was conducted on 130 nursing college students who had experience taking simulation learning to confirm the relationship between simulation learning and nursing competency. Participant's satisfaction and confidence were positively associated with overall nursing competency and patient safety. The teaching method and design of the facilitator were also positively correlated with overall nursing competency, and participants' age and simulation design was a predictive factor explaining 21.5% of the nursing competency. In applying simulation to develop nursing competency, it is necessary to consider the satisfaction and confidence of participants and to systematically diversify the teaching method and design.

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of reflection activities on using Facebook in university lectures. To accomplish the purpose of this study, an experiment was conducted with 181 students who took a large-scale university lecture. Subjects were assigned into two groups: 90 facebook group(experimental group) and 91 cybercampus group(control group). They participated reflection activities on facebook or cybercampus during 4 weeks. Independent samples t-test with in-depth interview were employed to analyze data. The results of this study are summarized as follows: there was a statistically significant difference in learning satisfaction between facebook group and control group. Learning satisfaction of facebook group is significantly higher than that of control group because reflection activities on facebook provided to gather information on reflection and to interact with peers easily. In conclusion, these findings imply that reflection activities on facebook is effective for improving learning satisfaction of large-scale university lectures.

  • This study confirms whether interaction and satisfaction between educators and learners can be repeated as artistic activities in art education and compares online and offline differences. And it suggests ways to enhance the effectiveness of online art education. As a method of research, literature analysis shall be conducted on art education, educational and social interaction, satisfaction, and behavioral intent. Two surveys were conducted on online and offline education for music and art students who completed art education lectures. As a result, 89 online and 56 offline students participated. The higher the satisfaction level of educational and social interaction in art education, the more it led to artistic activities. Educational interaction in online art education was higher, social interaction was lower, and it was different from offline.

  • This study aims to answer the following questions: 'Do university students who are satisfied with their online courses have higher academic achievement?' and 'What are the key self-regulated learning strategy factors that influence satisfaction and academic performance?'. To do this, this study conducted a survey of university students taking online courses and collected a total of 95 questionnaires. Research method used structural equation model. The results of the analysis showed that, First, satisfaction and academic achievement in university online courses were found to be unrelated. Second, the factors affecting satisfaction and academic achievement were found to be different. Time management was analyzed as a significant factor affecting both satisfaction and academic achievement, while interaction was found to affect satisfaction only. These findings can be used as a basis for developing practical policies to prioritize and support self-regulated learning as an effective teaching method in university online courses.

  • Since COVID-19, the education industry has shifted many of its activities to non-face-to-face channels, and many programs are still being conducted in non-face-to-face channels during the endemic. This study aims to analyze the quality factors affecting user satisfaction of synchronous and asynchronous channels operated non-face-to-face and compare the differences between the two channels. For this purpose, we analyzed the reviews of graduate students of the same content in the synchronous and asynchronous channels at H University in Seoul, Korea. The non-face-to-face learning quality factors derived through topic modeling are educational system quality, content quality, instructor quality, and expectation confirmation, and their effects on user satisfaction were empirically analyzed through survey responses related to these quality factors. The results showed that all of the quality factors had a significant positive effect on satisfaction, and there were significant differences in satisfaction factors between the two channels. This study is significant in that it suggests that improving the content itself for synchronous channels and improving the convenience of the program operation system for asynchronous channels is effective in improving user satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to give the preliminary data and suggestion for introducing and spreading e-learning engineering education through analyzing learning behaviors, learning motivations, and satisfaction of e-learning engineering students. Especially, this comparative study analyzes each research domain according to majors and grades, thereby suggesting more specific and practical results. 2,745 students registered in 38 subjects of e-learning in 2 Universities were analyzed for this study. The study result shows that engineering students are attending around 2 e-learning subjects with a duration of about 30 minutes once a week. The main of learning motivation for e-learning was not easy test level and feasibility of acquiring credit but advantages of e-learning such as freedom of time and space, learning by repetition. The satisfaction scores of e-learning were lower compared to the aspects of system and contents Based on these results, first, an active spread of e-learning to engineering education is necessary because the demand from the engineering students is high enough and they have desirable learning behavior and learning motivation for it. Second, the characteristics of grades need to be taken into consideration on operation of e-learning. Third, a successful e-learning process needs more meticulous and active operation.

  • Expectations and interests in blended learning are increasing as universities respond to the educational flow of transition to e-learning. This study analyzed the difference between the satisfaction of students in the first grade of radiology and the general characteristics of the subjects when applying blended learning. First, the satisfaction according to the class type was the highest in blended learning classes at 47.2%, followed by lecture room classes at 30.6% and remote classes at 22.2%. Second, the place where the remote lecture was watched by viewing the remote class according to the general characteristics was the highest at 94.4%. The most common medium for attending the remote class was using a PC, with 72.2%, and there was no significant difference in the remote class viewing method (p>0.05). Third, the appropriateness of the blended learning, "Remote lectures and lecture room lectures were properly conducted," had the highest score of 4.27±0.70. In addition, there was no significant difference in response to the teaching method according to gender and age (p>0.05). Fourth, the technology and system support,'Technical support and system support must be done when taking a remote lecture,' showed the highest score of 3.41±0.96. The lack of communication between professors and students,'In the remote class, communication between professors and students is insufficient' was the lowest with 2.88±1.00. In addition, there was no significant difference in the improvement of class according to gender and age (p>0.05). Through this study, it was intended to serve as a basis for the plans of blended classes and the policies of schools that introduced blended classes.

  • The basic medical subjects are essential for the understanding of the major in the department of health science and are very important. Anatomy is one of the fundamental areas of medical education. On the other hand, the application of new teaching method is being attempted in various fields. Station rotation model, one of the blended learning, is also one of the popular teaching method. Station rotation model allows students to rotate through stations on a fixed schedule, where at least one of the stations is an online learning station. This study investigate the satisfaction of students when applying station rotation model to anatomy class. Each station in the station rotation model consisted of VR application learning, online problem solving, model observation and oral test. After applying station rotation model (2 weeks) to the 'Functional anatomy and Practice' course taken by 37 students of the'Department of Occupational Therapy'at H University, this study conducted a satisfaction survey compare with lecture class for students taking the course. At the result, station rotation model was significantly higher than lecture class in both understanding, interest, concentration and diversity degree. Based on these results, I suggest applying the station rotation model to the anatomy class because it also showed high satisfaction in that.
