  • Recently, HSRC (Half-Symbol-Rate-Carrier) OQPSK (Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) signaling which reduces the bandwidth of transmitted signal for high-speed data communications has been introduced. Since the signal is based on QPSK modulation, it also has the characteristics of QPSK signal. This paper introduces architectures of the transceiver using differential coding to resolve the 4-phase ambiguity problem of the HSRC-QOPSK signaling for high-speed data communications. In addition, this paper proves the functionality of the transceiver with differential coding and shows the BER (bit-error-rate) performance of the transceiver by simulations.

  • This paper describes a K-band CW radar transceiver suitable for power saving motion sensor. The presented transceiver module is designed and contains patch antennas, dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO), IF amplifier, mixer, divider. The designed divider and antenna are measured and the transmitting frequency and the power were fairly good for using in commercial applications. The transceiver is manufactured with a dimension of 35${\times}$35${\times}$10(mm) and can be adapted in various applications.

Real-time optimal pump operation model development (경제적인 용수공급을 위한 실시간 송수펌프의 최적운영 모형 개발)

  • 일반적인 송 배수시스템의 운영은 지대가 높은 곳에 위치한 배수지(tank)에 용수를 저장한 후, 자연유하에 의해 수요절점으로 용수를 공급한다. 이때 배수지에 용수를 송수하기 위한 펌프장 운영에서 많은 전기에너지가 소모된다. 일반적으로 송수펌프의 운영은 다년간의 운영자료를 기반으로 운영자의 판단에 의해 이루어지거나, SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)시스템을 통해 관측되는 배수지 수위를 기준으로 펌프 작동여부를 결정하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 기존 펌프운영방법을 개선하고 좀 더 효율적인 운영방법을 모색하기 위해 실시간 송수펌프 최적운영 모형을 개발하였다. 최적화 기법으로는 유전자 알고리즘(genetic algorithm)을 사용하였으며, 다양한 제약조건(operational constraints)을 적용하고 급수지역의 24시간 용수사용량을 미리 예측하여 실제 시스템의 운영형태와 근접하게 반영하였다. 또한 최적화 과정에서 상수관망해석 프로그램(EPANET)을 연계하여 수요절점의 수압조건 및 시스템의 운영상황을 모의하였다. 개발된 모형을 국내 P시의 광역상수도 시스템에 실제 적용하였으며, 현장 실시간 운영 데이터를 입수하여 전력사용량, 배수지수위, 이산화탄소 발생량 등을 비교, 분석하였다. 개발 모형을 이용하여 펌프운영을 실시하였을 경우, 기존의 운영방식과 비교하여 경제적/환경적으로 뚜렷한 개선 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 논에서의 밭작물 재배면적은 점점 늘어나는 추세이며, 저수지에 용수가 있음에도 불구하고 논 위주의 용수공급체계로 인하여 가뭄이 심한 경우에 일반 밭지대에도 용수공급이 용이하지 않다. 지표수를 밭 관개용수로 사용함으로써 기존 수리시설의 활용도를 제고하고 농업용수의 사용 절감 및 신규 개발비 절약 등의 효과를 얻게 될 수 있도록 농업용수의 다목적 이용방안이 필요하다. 밭작물의 용수확보는 대부분 개인관정을 이용하여 밭지대에 관개용수를 공급하고 있으나, 최근 지하수는 전국적으로 수위가 낮아지고 있으며, 특히 가뭄시 지하수위 저하에 따른 용수공급이 어려울 것으로 예상된다. 지표수는 저수지, 양수장, 취입보를 활용하여 공급하고 있으며, 송수시설은 관수로 및 용수간선을 활용하여 저류시설로 공급되고 있다. 저류조 설치는 산중턱 및 고가저류조와 평지 설치로 수원별 하천수의 경우 송수는 펌프를 이용하여 저류조에 송수하여 관수로를 적용한다. 급수방법은 자연유하 방식 기능을 선택한다. 저수지 경우 송수는 수원으로부터 직접 공급시 자연유하 방식이 가능하고 고가저류조의 경우 펌프를 이용하여 저류조에 공급한다. 평지설치시 기존 개수로를 적용하면 펌프로 유입수를 취수할 수 있는 조치가 필요하다. 평지설치 급수는 펌프를 이용하여 관개장치에 공급한다.

  • This paper discusses the design of bio-implanted ultra-low-power MICS RF transceivers for wireless sensor networks. The 400 MHz MICS standard was considered for the implementation of the WBAN wireless sensor system, indirectly minimizing radio propagation losses in the human body and the inference with surrounding networks. This paper includes link budget, various transmission and reception architectures for a system design and ultra-low power transceiver circuit techniques for the implementation of RF transceivers that meet MICS standards.

  • A 3-GSymbol/s/lane transceiver, which supports the mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) C-physical layer (PHY) specification version 1.1, is proposed. It performs channel mismatch correction to improve the signal integrity that is deteriorated by using three-level signals over three channels. The proposed channel mismatch correction is performed by detecting channel mismatches in the receiver and adjusting the delay times of the transmission data in the transmitter according to the detection result. The channel mismatch detection in the receiver is performed by comparing the phases of the received signals with respect to the pre-determined data pattern transmitted from the transmitter. The proposed MIPI C-PHY receiver is designed using a 65 nm complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process with 1.2 V supply voltage. The area and power consumption of each transceiver lane are 0.136 ㎟ and 17.4 mW/GSymbol/s, respectively. The proposed channel mismatch correction reduces the time jitter of 88.6 ps caused by the channel mismatch to 34.9 ps.

A Design an Implementation of a Base Station Transceiver for WLL System (무선 가입자 접속망 기지국용 송수신기 설계 및 구현)

  • The implementation of a BTS(Base station Transceiver) for WLL system using W-CDMA(Wideband-Code Division Multiple Access) method is presented in this paper. It consists of three boards; receiver, transmitter and RF controller. Some RF parameters are considered and simulated by the RF simulation S/W using commercial and customized components specifications. The implemented transceiver of 5 MHz RF channel bandwidth satisfies the system requirements of a transceiver such as dynamic range, sensitivity in the receiver and spurious emission suppression in the transmitter. At the receiver, the experimental measurement showed 2.86 dB of NF and 60 dB above of dynamic range in AGC(Automatic Gain Control) locking. At the transmitter, the -49.46 dBc of spurious emission suppression is attained when the output power of the transmitter is 34.3 dBm. These results are good enough to meet to standard performance specifications.

  • In this paper, the multichannel intermediate frequency transceiver for broadband multimedia system is designed and the experimental results are analyzed. Basic elements of the transceiver such as frequency synthesizer, amplifier, mixer, automatic gain control amplifier are introduced. The analysis technique described here applies not only to amplifier but also to any other nonlinear components such as mixers and frequency doubler. Through the investigation of the power spectrum density of the transmitted signal, the phase noise of the local oscillator is evaluated below 70 dBc/kHz. The frequency characteristics of the modulated signal is flat within the system bandwidth. Also the effects of adjacent channel interference and supurious emission are analyzed. And the function of automatic gain control amplifier is well operated.

A Study on the Improvement of channel efficiency for FH-SS Tranceiver by applying the Frequency synthesizer with high speed switching time. (고속 주파수 합성기를 이용한 FH-SS 송수신기의 채널 효율 개선 연구)

  • Recently, Switching time is the principal factor in a design of frerquency synthesizer for Spread-Spectrum Communications. fast switching frequency synthesizer is important to improve the channel efficiency in a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FH-SS) tranceiver. In this paper, we design the frequency synthesizer with fast switching time as fast as 1${\mu}\textrm{s}$. In frequency synthesizer design, we use the interpolated PLL method inserted memory Look-up table of DDS to reduce switching time, and have result of improved channel efficiency about 20% by applying to FH-SS Transceiver.

BER Performance Evaluation of Boss Map According to Delay Time in CDSK Modulation Scheme and Chaos Transceiver (CDSK 변조 방식과 카오스 송수신기의 지연시간에 따른 Boss Map의 BER 성능 평가)

  • Chaos communication system is possible to improve the system security by using chaos signal. Further, it is possible to reduce the possibility of eavesdropping, and have strong characteristics from interference signal and jamming signal. However, BER(Bit Error Rate) performance of chaos system is worse than digital communication system. By this reason, researches in order to improve the BER performance of chaos communication system are being actively studied. In previous studies, we proposed a novel chaos map for BER performance improvement, and called it 'Boss map'. Also, we proposed a novel chaos transceiver for BER performance improvement. However, BER performance is evaluated differently according to delay time in transceiver. Therefore, in order to use Boss map effectively, we should find the optimal delay time in proposed chaos transceiver. In this paper, when Boss map is used, we evaluate BER performance of CDSK(Correlation Delay Shift Keying) system and novel chaos transceiver according to delay time. After evaluation of BER performance according to delay time, we find a delay time that is possible to have best BER performance in CDSK system and novel chaos transceiver.
