  • Association of South East Asian Nations(ASEAN) has recently decided to develop ASEAN Highway Network to connect member countries by road in an attempt to achieve a goal of closer economic integration in the region. This entailed the necessity to newly construct or upgrade some 5,481 km of road sections to make ASEAN Highway Network functional. This study offers haw we can prioritize development of these road sections using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Particularly, it shows how individual road sections can be prioritized considering the importance of corridor or road group where the individual road section lies. It also develops how values of different evaluation criteria can be compared in the same scale. This new approach can be useful in prioritizing highway development in such cases where candidate road sections are widely scattered around the region, so detailed benefit and cost analysis is practically too demanding to carry out.

  • By a development of high-advanced science technology, the area of image made inter-area's communication more actively. Such the inter-image exchange facilitated a new combination of areas. By such the development and the activation of public design, the area of image has been extended into the area of environmental design as the public meaning. According to this flow, the media art of using a light has been introduced in the environment of water-front in Korea. Hence, it enhanced the region's identity and gave a special impression to tourists. However, the study on the area of image in the Korean environment aldesign is still in sufficient. Accordingly, the constant expression development absolutely required. For develop ingand researching a variety of expression techniques, the utilization of media art is expected to work as the alternative of image expression technique.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the current status and effects of online discussion classes in universities. To this end, a survey was conducted on university students attending a total of four universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province to diagnose their perceptions of the operation of online discussion classes and their effects. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, cross-analysis, F-test, T-test, and Scheffe test by applying SPSS program. As a result of the study, first, it was found that 'non-real-time recorded lessons' and 'real-time interactive video lessons' were mainly conducted at universities after the COVID19 crisis. Second, in the online class method, 'real-time interactive video class' had a positive effect on 'debate class preference' and was found to be more meaningful. Third, college students recognized participation in online discussion classes as a foundation for expanding creative thinking skills, suggesting that strengthening through smooth communication and exchanges based on learners' sufficient cognitive processes on discussion methods and procedures is more helpful.

  • This study explored the user's information needs and information behavior for the development of academic library services. The content analysis of qualitative data showed that the in-depth interview participants have six types of information needs such as 'suitability, up-to-dateness, uniqueness, reliability, practicality, and convenience' while going through societal, educational, and research-related changes. Interview participants solved their information needs by acquiring the resources necessary for each individual's task through information behaviors using information media, human resources and the places. Each participant tried to solve his/her information problem through individual efforts based on their different media and information utilization capabilities. Based on the analysis, this study presented four directions in the development of academic library services. They are an personalized information literacy service, a space to meet the characteristics of information needs, an infrastructure platform for exchanging human resources, and an accessible support service for utilizing information media.

  • This study analyzes the effect of CAE class using PBL on professional knowledge acquisition and competency enhancement. The PBL class was applied to 3rd grade students of Dong-Eui University's Department of Automotive Engineering, and a one-year course, and a survey was conducted on satisfaction and effectiveness in the first and second semesters, respectively. With a significant difference in the survey for each semester, satisfaction in the second semester was found to be high, and satisfaction with non-face-to-face information exchange and team activities was high. In addition, it was evaluated to have a positive effect on the improvement of individual competency such as knowledge of subject, command-led learning, problem-solving ability, and communication. This study has educational implications in that it can be used as a quantitative indicator for class improvement and can be used as basic data for course operation.

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics and meanings that Korean musical enthusiasts take on as cultural intermediaries of musical content by analyzing the real-time conversations they have while watching musicals performed in online spaces. To this end, the 'Live TALK' chat during the 'ontact' (online contact) performance of the musical Marie Curie was observed in real-time and subsequently analyzed in terms of the characteristics of online cultural intermediaries: their owned capital, their mediating language, and their relationship with the consumers. As a result of the analysis, musical enthusiasts were found to possess a wealth of cultural capital based on practical experience and inquiry, and to be utilizing specific identifying expressions in their language use. In addition, they appeared to be interactive in their communication with the general audience, which could be seen in the flow of spontaneous conversations as well as questions and answers occurring in the live chat. This study is significant in confirming that musical enthusiasts are positioning themselves as new cultural intermediaries through their cultural practices: taking on the role of guides and mediators in the online space 'Live TALK.'

  • Study analyzes whether the 3D CAD class using the flipped learning-based PBL is effective in acquiring professional knowledge and nurturing talent. A Flipped Learning-based PBL class was implemented for 3rd grade students of Robot and Automation Engineering Major, Dong-Eui University, and a survey was conducted on satisfaction and effectiveness. The students seemed to be generally satisfied with the class, and the flipped learning-based PBL appeared to be effective in improving the competency required by companies. In particular, it is hoped that it will contribute to the use of video education in practical subjects in the future by proving that practical classes can be operated effectively even in non-face-to-face learning. Moreover, this study is an important indicator for future research and will be used as a quantitative indicator for class improvement.

  • As digital video communication technology advances and global interactions become more frequent, cultural barriers between countries are gradually diminishing. Subtitles in TV content reflect the writing systems and cultural contexts of different countries, aiding in the comprehension of program content. However, when comparing subtitles between countries with different writing systems, variations in format and the representation of onomatopoeic expressions become apparent. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing the differences and peculiarities in the onomatopoeic subtitles of Korean and Chinese variety shows, which are based on distinct writing systems. Through this analysis, the study aims to understand how differences in writing systems influence the representation of onomatopoeic subtitles and viewer experience. This investigation is expected to provide creative inspiration for variety show producers and facilitate cross-cultural communication.

  • Even though only 3 sijo are in high school textbook. through these 3 sijo each type can be understood in that each represents pyung sijo, sasul sijo, and present sijo. To learn with learner-centered activities, which aim for full knowledge acquisition regarding literary works, as the preparing stage, students can learn what theyll learn by teachers. Sijo are, so to speak, formed with three chapters, and stand for the world that is colorless, scentless, and flavorless. So, the theme can be found with ease. Compared with other genres, sijo can be formed creating background with ease. Moreover, sijo are not too long, so learners can paraphrase it. Sijo that express private experiences with the everyday language can be related to other genres or everyday language. So, sijo are last to present. In the teaching phase, on the gradation of concretion and gradation, writing or presentation activities are presented. After classroom, learners keep a reaction journal.
