In order to reduce the manufacturing cost of MCU chips used in applications such as wireless chargers and USB-C, compared to DP-EEPROM (Double Poly EEPROM), which requires 3 to 5 additional process masks, it is even more necessary MTP(Multi-Time Programmable), which is less than one additional mask and have smaller unit cell size. In addition, in order to improve endurance characteristics and data retention characteristics of the MTP memory cell due to E/P(Erase / Program) cycling, the distribution of the VTP(Program Threshold Voltage) and the VTE(Erase Threshold Voltage) needs to be narrow. In this paper, we proposed a current-type BL S/A(Bit-Line Sense Amplifier) circuit, WM(Write Mask) circuit, BLD(BL Driver) circuit and a algorithm, which can reduce the distribution of program and VT and erase VT, through compare the target current by performing the erase and program pulse of the short pulse several times, and if the current specification is satisfied, the program or erase operation is no longer performed. It was confirmed that the 256Kb MTP memory fabricated in the Magnachip semiconductor 0.13㎛ process operates well on the wafer in accordance with the operation mode.

The present work explores the performance and operation limit of electrodialysis cell for HI concentration in sulfur iodine thermochemical hydrogen production process, For this purpose, the electrodialysis cell was assembled with Nafion 117 as a PEM membrane and two activated carbon papers as the electrodes. HIx solution was prepared with composition of HI: $I_2$: $H_2O$ = 1: 0.5~2.5: 5.2 in molar ratio. The cell and its peripheral apparatus were placed in the specially designed convective oven in order to uniformly maintain the operation temperature. As operation temperature increased, the amount of water transport from anode to cathode increased, thus reducing HI molarity in catholyte. Meanwhile, the current efficiency was constant as about 90 %, irrespective of temperature change. The cell voltage increased with initial $I_2$ mole ratio as well as anolyte to catholyte mole ratio. Moreover the cell voltage overshot took place within 10 h cell operation, which is due to the $I_2$ precipitation inside the cell. From the analysis of $I_2$ mole ratio in the anolyte, it is noted that operation limit (in $I_2$ mole ratio) of the electrodialysis cell, arising from was measured to be 3.2, which is much lower than bulk solubility limit of 4.7.

The effects of the type of curing agent on the swelling of the natural rubber(NR) sponge applicable to the self-sealing layer of a helicopter fuel tank were investigated. The curing systems employed were peroxide and mixed ones of sulfur and peroxide. The NR compounds were prepared in a kneader and a roll-mill. The compounds were partially cured in a press at high pressure and subsequently cured fully with expansion in another press at atmospheric pressure. The apparent density of the NR sponge was measured and the cell structure was observed with scanning electron microscopy. The swelling experiments were performed at room temperature using toluene, iso-octane, and an aircraft fuel as a solvent. More rapid volume swelling of the NR sponge cured by peroxide was achieved than cured by sulfur and peroxide with similar amount of curing agent added in rubber compounds. The apparent density and cell structure of the sponge were extremely sensitive to the amount of peroxide, which influences again the swelling behavior of the NR sponge. It is important to control properly two reactions of decomposition of foaming agent and crosslinking of NR in the mold to obtain rapid swelling of the NR sponge on contact of the fuel.
Polyurethane foams (PUFs) were prepared from polymeric 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (PMDI), mixed polyol with OH value of 480, silicone surfactant, three catalysts, and hydrofluorocarbon(HFC) as blowing agent. Balance (PC-8), gelling (33LV), and trimerization (TMR-2) catalysts were used. The effect of the catalysts on the physical properties of PUF with increase of isocyanate (NCO) index and aging time was investigated. The cell size of the PUF with PC-8 and 33LV slightly increased with an increase in NCO index from 100 to 170 but compressive strength did not change significantly. In case of trimerization catalyst, the compressive strength of PUF increased from 8.75 to 1$10.5 kg_f/cm^2$ and the cell size decreased with an increase in NCO index. The compressive strength of the PUF with 33LV increased from 9.21 to $10.15 kg_f/cm^2$ with an increase in aging time. However, there was no detectable change in the compressive strength of PUF with TMR-2. A possible interpretation of the results includes an additional cross-link reaction of non-reacted MDI and FTIR spectrum illustrated the change of NCO peak.
The performance of enzymatic fuel cells that convert chemical energy contained in various organic molecules such as sugar, alcohol, organic acids, and amino acids into electrical energy is greatly affected by the cathode as well as the anode. This study aimed to develop a laccase-based cathode with high performance. An enzyme composite composed of an laccase, redox mediator, and carbon nanotubes was immobilized on the surface of electrode in multiple layers, and the effect of the number of layers and the presence or absence of carbon nanotubes on electrode performance was investigated. As the number of layers of the enzyme-mediator (Lac-(PVI-Os-dCl)) on the electrode surface increased, the amount of reduction current generated at the electrode increased. The enzyme-carbon nanotube-mediator composite electrode (Lac-SWCNTs-(PVI-Os-dCl)) generated a current 1.7 times greater than that of the Lac-(PVI-Os-dCl). It was found that the largest amount of current (10.1±0.1 µA) was generated in the electrode composed of two layers of Lac-(PVI-Os-dCl) and two layers of Lac-SWCNTs-(PVI-Os-dCl) in the evaluation of electrodes with different ratio of Lac-SWCNTs-(PVI-Os-dCl) and Lac-(PVI-Os-dCl). The maximum power density of the cell using the cathode composed of a single layer of Lac-(PVI-Os-dCl) and the cell using the optimized cathode were 0.46±0.05 and 1.23±0.04 µW/cm2, respectively. In this study, it was demonstrated that the performance of cathode and the enzymatic fuel cell using the same can be improved by optimizing the layers of composites composed of laccase, redox mediator, and carbon nanotubes on the electrode surface.

In this work, extraction and purification of the possible whitening agents from the Chinese plants; Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat (xizang cai ju hua), Rhodiola sachalinensis, and Terminalia chebula Retzius have been described. The chopped leaves of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat and Terminalia chebula Retzius were added to water and ethyl ether, respectively. Components were separated on a GS310 column ($21.5{\times}500mm$ i.d., $10-15{\mu}m$) and concentrated into four or three portions. The chopped leaves of Rhodiola salientness were added to methanol and separated and concentrated on a column ($C_{18}$ column, $3.9^{\circ}$F8;300 mm i.d., $15{\mu}m$) into two parts. The whitening effects of extracts were examined by in-vitro melanin production assay, in melana and B16 cells at a concentration of $10{\mu}g/ml$. The ethyl acetate layer of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat showed 92% melanin inhibitory at $200{\mu}g/ml$, the extract of Rhodiola sachalinensis showed a whitening effect of about 60% melanin inhibitory, which was more efficient than the whitening effect of arbutin (45.6%). The methanol extract of Terminalia chebula Retzius inhibited melanin expression by 90% at $100{\mu}g/ml$; however, it was toxic to B16 melanoma cells.
Electrostatic discharge characteristics were studied by connecting human body model (HBM) with tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) device in this research. TMR samples were converted into electrical equivalent circuit with HBM and it was simulated utilizing PSPICE. Discharge characteristics were observed by changing the component values of the junction model in this equivalent circuit. The results show that resistance and capacitance of the TMR junction were determinative components that dominate the sensitivity of the electrostatic discharge(ESD). Reducing the resistance oi the junction area and lead line is more profitable to increase the recording density rather than increasing the capacitance to improve the endurance for ESD events. Endurance at DC state was performed by checking breakdown and failure voltages for applied DC voltage. HBM voltage that a TMR device could endure was estimated when the DC failure voltage was regarded as the HBM failure voltage.
The poly(1-trimethylsilyl-1-propyne) (PTMSP) and silica-filled PTMSP membranes were prepared by casting from a toluene solution on porous polyetherimide (PEI). FT-IR spectrum, GPC and SEM pictures have been taken to characterize the membranes. The particle size of membrane decreases as silica content of the membrane increases from 23 to 60 wt%, and a uniform distribution of the silica is observed. The separation properties of the gas mixture (32 mol% $H_2$/ 68 mol% $N_2$) through the composite membranes were studies as a function of pressure and percentage of silica. Selectivity values of $H_2$/$N_2$ increased as the pressure of permeation cell and silica content of the membrane increased. The real separation factor($\alpha$), head separation factor($\beta$), and tail separation factor((equation omitted)) of PTMSP-PEI composite membrane were 2.28, 1.58, and 1.44 respectively at $\Delta$P 30 psi and $25^{\circ}C$. $\alpha$, $\beta$, and (equation omitted) of PTMSP-Silica-PEI composite membrane for 60 wt% silica were 3.34, 1.95, 1.72 at $\Delta$P 30 psi and $25^{\circ}C$.

Solar energy has attracted big attentions as one of clean and unlimited renewable energy. Solar energy is transformed to electrical energy by solar cells which are comprised of multi-silicon wafer or mono-silicon wafer. Monosilicon wafers are fabricated from the Czochralski method. In order to decrease fabrication cost, increasing a poly-silicon charge size in one quartz crucible has been developed very much. When we increase a charge size, the temperature control of a Czochralski equipment becomes more difficult due to a strong melt convection. In this study, we simulated a Czochralski equipment temperature at 20 inch and 24 inch in quartz crucible diameter and various charge sizes (90 kg, 120 kg, 150 kg, 200 kg, 250 kg). The simulated temperature profiles are compared with real temperature profiles and analyzed. It turns out that the simulated temperature profiles and real temperature profiles are in good agreement. We can use a simulated profile for the optimization of real temperature profile in the case of increasing charge sizes.
