기계 및 설비관련 학과는 모든 산업의 기초가 되는 기계를 다루는 기술인이 반드시 알아야 할 기계관련 이론과 작업분석에 대한 다양한 실기를 통해 산업현장에 필요한 전문직업인을 양성하는 것에 교육 목표를 두고 있다. 또한 기계 및 설비관련 학과에서는 오늘날의 첨단 기계 산업의 발달 및 다양화에 발맞추어 생산 및 생산시설 관리, 제품의 설계 및 제작, 엔지니어링 마케팅, 컴퓨터 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 관련 업무를 충실히 담당할 중견 전문가 양성도 담당 한다. 2009년 현재 전국 13개 대학에서 기계 설비분야의 미래를 책임질 기계설비 전문인 양성에 심혈을 기울이고 있다. 본지는 지난 3월호부터 전국의 기계 및 설비관련 학과를 소개한다.

기술전문인력이 없는 중소기업에서도 활용할 수 있는 산업용 위험기계의 위험성평가 체크리스트를 개발하기 위하여, 기존의 체크리스트를 평가하고 위험도를 보다 합리적으로 파악 관리할 수 있는 간단한 체크리스트를 개발하였다. 제조물책임법의 시행을 앞둔 시점에서 산업용기계ㆍ설비 제조업체가 안전성향상을 통한 제조물 결함대책에 적절히 대응할 자료의 마련을 목적으로 우리업계의 실태를 파악하고 설계단계의 안전성 평가방법과 안전기준을 제시함으로서 제조물책임법 시행에 따르는 기업의 피해를 예방함과 아울러 산업재해 예방에 기여하고자 한다.

세계적으로 완성된 제3세대 가속기는 전무한 현시점에서 가속기의 건설경험이 전혀 없는 국내 기술만으로 가속기에 필요한 정밀제어를 단기간에 실현하는 일을 결코 쉬운일이 아님이 자명하다. 또한 소프트웨어 인력부족이 심각해 가는 국내외 실정에 비추어 볼 때에는 소프트웨어의 비중이 하드웨어에 못지 않은 가속기 제어를 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 외국의 유수 Lab에서 이미 개발하여 사용하고 있는 소프트웨어의 활용의 극대화 및 소프트웨어 엔지니어링 기법의 도입, 활용은 프로젝트 성공의 열쇠라 할 수 있을 것이다.

A Shipbuilding design program used in the shipbuilding industry tends to be shifted from the TRIBON software to the AM(AVEVA MARINE) software these days. Many large domestic shipbuilding companies have been using the AM instead of the TRIBON. New design software requires education programs for the necessary personnel. However the education programs for the AM are largely based on offline education. They suffer from constraints in space and time, and from high costs. This paper describes a development of online contents for the AM software that are focused for cyber education. It covers the applied process and the organization of the contents. The details of the development decisions including the security issue for the contents are described also.

국내 선박용 원동기연구는 1980년대에 들어서면서부터 엔진의 성능시험평가, 요소 기술개발연구, 소형엔진의 성능개량연구 등이 연구인력확보, 연구시설 확충 및 연구기반 구축과 병행하여 진행 되고 있다. 중. 대형엔진공장을 유치하여 생산공급하기도 급급했던 초기단계에서 수요확보를 위한 노력이 절실히 요망되었고, 또 부품 국산화, 수요자 요구에 부응키 위한 자체 능력향상은 가공생 산기술축적, 설계능력향상, 수리전문 기술자 및 AS등으로 도모되어 왔다. 외국 기술도입에 의한 생산의 장점-기술도입자체 외에도 세계적인 서비스 네트워크, 상표사용, 새로운 기술의 확보 등은 한국형 엔진 개발을 위한 연구를 도외시해 왔다. 한편 소형엔진에서는 어선 근대화 사업, 어민들 의 엔진성능인식이 상향됨으로써 새로운 고성능 엔진개발이 1980년대에 활발하게 진행되어 상당 한 진전을 보여 왔으며 고속엔진개발이나 대체에너지 이용 엔진개발에도 연구가 확대되고 있다. 본 글에서는 국내 박용 원동기 연구개발동향을 소개하기 위하여 국내 박용디젤엔진 산업과 연구 배경, 개발연구 등에 대한 내용을 실적 및 진행중인 과제를 위주로 요약 소개하고자 한다.

The cooperative relation between construction engineering firms and design subcontractors is essential to establish design collaboration system. So, this study is initiated with providing a strategic cooperation scheme between construction engineering firms and design subcontractors. A number of literatures related to the design process for engineering firms were reviewed in order to investigate the design collaboration system. A questionnaire survey was peformed to collect and analyze the expert opinion on the current design collaboration system for engineering firms. It is expected that the cooperation scheme can be utilized to improve the cooperative relation between construction engineering firms and design subcontractors.

The existing test-based qualification system does not sufficiently reflect the demand for skills in industries and there exist concerns regarding its efficacy. In response, an innovative national technical qualification system, which uses a course-based qualification system, has been introduced to supplement the test-type qualification system. This study investigates the impact of the national technical qualification system on companies' decisions concerning employment by analyzing survey data from companies that employed persons who obtained course-based qualifications. Analysis results found the degree of company demand for skills had a positive impact on overall employment decisions. Especially, it was highly likely for those companies that experienced loss due to the lack of technology in the past to decide continued employment and expansion of employment. This suggests that it is necessary to design the national technical qualification system in response to the demand for technological skills of each industry in the future.

기계공악은 Service Engineering 이라는 일면을 지니고 있을 뿐만아니라 직접 기계류를 생산하지 않은 업체중에서도 기업상으로 또한 학문상으로는 본래 기계공업의 영역에 속하는 산업이면서 산 업적, 학문적 전문화에의하여 분화된 공업도 많으므로 기계기술자의 역할도 광범위할 수 밖에 없 다. 특히 우리 나라에서 그동안의 사정을 살펴 볼때 각종 생필품의 수요급증과 정부의 수출산업 우선정책등으로 완제품생산규모의 plant도입에의한 제품생산공업이 위주였으므로 제산업이 기반 조건인 기계공업성장의 과정이 경시되어 왔으며 따라서 대학에서 기계공학을 전공한 기계기술자 가 일반적인 기계의 설계와 제작을 다루는 기회보다도 특정기계장치의 운전내지는 시설의 영선을 담당하는 경우가 허다하고 그 외에 광범위한 분야에서 다양한 업무를 취급하여 왔다. 이러한 사 정을 감안하여 본연구는 기계기술자가 섬유, 제지, 비료, 정유등 화학계 공장을 위시하여 채광, 금속, 전자, 방직등 물리계공장 및 발전소 토건업등 기타 소위 비기계공업계열의 기업에서 실제에 어떠한 내용의 작업 또는 직무에 임하고 있는가의 실태를 조사분석하여 기계기술자의 인력수급계 획이나 대학교과과정상의 참고자료에 공할 것을 일차적으로 시도한 것이다.

In Korea's national competency standards, competency is defined as a concept that includes the common skills required to be a member of an organization, the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to perform the task, in addition to the skills necessary to perform the task in the field. This study examines the recently published NCS-related paper, and summarizes the key findings in the areas of the design and operation of NCS-based curriculum, key factors that should be included in the design of each individual NCS-based curriculum, positive effects and negative effects of NCS-based education and training processes. Based on these findings and educational implications, the feasibility of expanding the NCS-based curriculum in junior colleges is discussed. In addition, the roles of Human Resources Development Service of Korea and NCS web site are discussed and some suggestions concerning their roles are provided.

As a kind of industry-university cooperation, the contract-based department for nurturing the employers that meets the needs of industrial society has started for about 20 years. In particular, interest in contract departments as part of the SMEs' human resource development support is increasing with the newly starting government, so it is expecting that the number of new contract departments will increase for the time being. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of each contract department according to the learner type and contract method, and to suggest procedures and considerations for the establishment of re-education-type and third party contract-type contract departments suitable for SMEs. In particular, the authors would like to present the case of K University for how to design the curriculum to create a virtuous cycle by harmoniously reflecting the position of the operating institution as a supplier and the requirements of many companies as consumers.
