Recently the role of ports has been changed to satisfy flexibly needs of demands in global economy. A new concept for ports is not just a place for international trade but an important nodal point in logistics chain. The changing environment like this trend creates a high degree of uncertainty and leaves port managers confused with the question how to respond effectively to dynamic market. The latest studies provide that the port must have a good hinterland to achieve competitive advantages in a logistics chain. Korean Government announced "The Master Development Plan for Port Logistics Parks in Korea" in 2006. This contains the plan of hinterland construction of Busan New Port to achieve the status of logistics hub in Asian market. Previous studies rely solely on traditional DCF(discounted cash flow) analysis for investment of hinterland. However DCF method does not include irreversibility, uncertainty and the choice of timing for investment project. This thesis introduces a ROPM(real options pricing model) which overcomes the limitations of traditional valuation methods. The option valuations in this study utilize the Black-Scholes model, the binomial model and the MonteCarlo simulation to value investment opportunity of a port hinterland. In this thesis, an attempt is made to modify the NPV criterion by incorporating the real options approach, and its application is demonstrated in a hinterland construction investment plan. This research has conducted an empirical analysis by calculating economic value of the investment for a hinterland of Busan New Port.
The purpose of this study is to establish shipping companies' selection factors related to a classification society and to explore the relative importance of each factor using the analytical hierarchy process(AHP) technique. Insufficient research exists on the hierarchial structure of shipping companies' factors of selecting a classification society. The factors are identified and classified into two tiers of major and detailed factors, by referring to the related industrial linkages, prior research related to the determinants, and the process and service delivery of the classification society's activities. The empirical analysis of this study is based on the relative importance of determinants when selecting a classification society, and experts engaged with shipping companies were surveyed using questionnaires. The results of the AHP methodology on the main factors of shipping companies in selecting a classification society are as follows. The relative importance of the main factors was 0.373 for technical and survey services, 0.284 for recognized organizations(RO) functions, 0.177 for cost and 0.167 for market(related industry) expectations. The relative importance of the detailed factors is 0.144 for the ability to respond to a port state control(PSC) inspection, 0.143 for technical services, 0.090 for the requirements of financial institutions/ shippers/shipyards, 0.087 for class maintenance costs, 0.086 for the survey network, 0.085 for surveyor competency, 0.072 for cooperation with IMO and government authorities, 0.067 for recognition for RO, 0.058 for the business power of the classification society, 0.052 for the initial inspection costs, 0.040 for reputation and trustworthiness, 0.038 for the costs related to the class, and 0.037 for connections to related industries.
This study organizes policy tasks currently being promoted by the government to revitalize the domestic VR and AR industries, which are evaluated to be stagnant compared to major overseas countries, and aims to derive priorities through analysis of an AHP survey for experts in the VR/AR field, and to seek countermeasures based on the analysis results. As a result of classification based on various previous studies, press releases, and policy data, it was divided into 5 major categories and 16 sub-categories: technical issues, awareness improvement, legal/institutional improvement, government support, and manpower development. As a result of the AHP analysis, in the major category, the "government support" appeared as the top priority policy task, followed by the "manpower development". In the sub-categories, "training new manpower" was the most important policy implementation task, followed by "enhancing technological competitiveness". This study is meaningful in that it selects and presents prioritized policy tasks that clearly reflect the position and perspective of the industry on the policy-making situation exposed to the limitations of time and resources, while also presenting practical improvement plans.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in the pattern of crimes caused by the spread and slowdown of coronavirus infections and to devise preventive and countermeasures against various crimes in the future. Method: In order to find out the characteristics of each crime in the non-face-to-face and face-to-face environment, the results of previous prior research and data officially released by the National Police Agency and the prosecution office were compared and analyzed. Result: In the early epidemic of infectious diseases, overall crime has decreased, and civil life-related crimes and crimes targeting the socially disadvantaged are increasing. In the second half of the infectious disease, unlike the first half, the prolonged corona caused the economic recession and unemployment, deepening the damage from illegal private finance and significantly increasing illegal gambling game crimes. Conclusion: According to the time of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the quarterly crime characteristics showed that there was a difference in crime type and crime increase and decrease rate, and that crime response measures should be changed accordingly.

The domestic construction industry is changing according to its preference for demand and supply along with urbanization and economic development. Accordingly, initial risk assessments is more important than before. In particular, demand for lease-based investment products such as commercial and office buildings has surged as a substitute for financial products due to low interest rates of banks. Therefore, the objective is to suggest a basic study on financial analysis model development by applying optimization method in residential officetel. To achieve the objective, first, the previous studies are investigated. Second, the causal loop diagram is structured based on the collected data. Third, the system dynamics method is used to develop cost-income simulation and optimization model sequentially. Finally, the developed model was verifed through analyzing a case project. In the future, the proposed model can be helpful whether or not conduct execution of an officetel development project to the decision makers.

Tampering involves illegally removing technologies from a protected system through reverse engineering or developing a system without proper authorization. As tampering of a weapon system is a threat to national security, anti-tampering measures are required. Precedent studies on anti-tampering have discussed the necessity, related trends, application cases, and recent cybersecurity-based or other protection methods. In a domestic situation, the Defense Technology Protection Act focuses on how to prevent technology leakage occurring in related organizations through personnel, facilities and information systems. Anti-tampering design needs to determine which technologies are protected while considering the effects of development cost and schedule. The objective of our study is to develop methods of how to select target technologies and determine counter-measures to protect these technologies. Specifically, an evaluation matrix was derived based on the risk analysis concept to select the protection of target technologies. Also, based on the concept of risk mitigation, the classification of anti-tampering techniques was performed according to its applicability and determination of application levels. Results of the case study revealed that the methods proposed can be systematically applied for anti-tampering in weapon system development.

Recent trends in mobile device market whose services are rapidly expanding to provide wireless internet access are drawing people's attention to mobile security. Especially, since threats to information leakage are reaching to the critical level due to the frequent interchange of important data such as personal and financial information through wireless internet, various encryption algorithms has been developed to protect them. The encryption algorithms confront the serious threats by the appearance of side channel attack (SCA) which uses the physical leakage information such as timing, and power consumption, though the their robustness to threats is theoretically verified. Against the threats of SCA, researches including the performance and development direction of SCA should precede. Among tile SCA methods, the power analysis (PA) attack overcome this misalignment problem. The conventional methods require large computational power and they do not effectively deal with the delay changes in a power trace. To overcome the limitation of the conventional methods, we proposed a novel alignment method using peak matching. By computer simulations, we show the advantages of the proposed method compared to the conventional alignment methods.

Recently, the smart city market based on the 4th industrial revolution is rapidly expanding worldwide and is being promoted in various ways. Korea has promoted various smart city public and private partnership projects, but there were limits to the activation of smart city public and private partnership projects due to insufficient enactment and revision of laws, public-oriented ordering method, and lack of private execution capacity. Therefore, this study intends to suggest key success factors for each stage of smart city public and private partnership projects through the analysis of the order status of the smart city national pilot city and the analysis of previous research. Through this, it is expected that it will be possible to eliminate various types of risks that may occur in the domestic smart city public and private partnership projects and contribute to revitalizing the smart city public and private partnership projects.
As of the end of 2019, the total population nationwide was 51,849,861, and over the past five years, the population per household has decreased by 1.52% annually from 2.45 in 2015 to 2.31 in 2019. Looking at the current status of population distribution by age group, Busan metropolitan city had the highest proportion of senior citizens aged 65 or older at 18.2%, and Sejong Special Self-Governing city had the lowest at 9.4%. In particular, as of 2019, the population of the mobility handicapped was 15,219,000 nationwide, showing a ratio of about 29.4% of the total population. Therefore, it is important to secure the right to move according to the mobile facilities so that the mobility handicapped can move safely and conveniently. Against this background, this study places value on transportation welfare facilities centered on the mobility handicapped for safe and convenient movement, and in particular, in proposing measures to cope with the entry of an aging society and the continuous increase of the mobility handicapped, the transportation facilities, The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of welfare facilities on the mobility handicapped and suggest implications. Temperature of the Earth's surface is a crucial physical variable in understanding weather and atmospheric dynamics and in coping with extreme heat events that have a great impact on living organismsincluding humans. Thermalsensors on satellites have been a useful meansfor acquiring surface temperature information for wide areas on the globe, and thus characterization of its estimation uncertainty is of central importance for the utilization of the data. Among various factors that affect the estimation, the uncertainty caused by the algorithm itself has not been tested for the atmospheric environment of Korean vicinity. Thisstudy derivesthe uncertainty of the single-channel algorithm under the local atmospheric and oceanic conditions by using reanalysis data and buoy temperature data collected around Korea. Atmospheric profiles were retrieved from two types of reanalysis data, the fifth generation of European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts reanalysis of the global climate and weather (ERA5) and Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications-2 (MERRA-2) to investigate the effect of reanalysis data. MODerate resolution atmospheric TRANsmission (MODTRAN) was used as a radiative transfer code for simulating top of atmosphere radiance and the atmospheric correction for the temperature estimation. Water temperatures used for MODTRAN simulations and uncertainty estimation for the single-channel algorithm were obtained from marine weather buoyslocated in seas around the Korean Peninsula. Experiment results showed that the uncertainty of the algorithm varies by the water vapor contents in the atmosphere and is around 0.35K in the driest atmosphere and 0.46K in overall, regardless of the reanalysis data type. The uncertainty increased roughly in a linear manner as total precipitable water increased.
