A Comparative Study of the Harmony of coloration according to Transformation of Color Area-Ratio in Traditional Korean Dress - On the Tone on Tone coloration - (색상 면적비 변화에 따른 한복배색의 조화감 비교 연구 - 톤 온 톤 배색을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this research was to compare the harmony of tone on tone coloration according to transformation of color area-ratio in traditional Korean dress. The respondents were asked to evaluate 36 stimuli of the traditional Korean skirt and jacket with different color tone. The subjects were 83 female undergraduate students. The results are as follows. For red colors, combinations of vivid/dull, vivid/dark, and light/dark made a difference in the harmony of coloration according to the transformation of color area-ratio. For yellow colors, combinations of vivid/dark, light/dull, and light/dark made a difference in the harmony of coloration according to the transformation of color area-ratio. For green colors, combinations of vivid/dull, vivid/dark, light/dull, and light/dark made a difference in the harmony of coloration according to the transformation of color area-ratio.

  • This study is for the use of color recommendation system for the color combination of mobile application. For this study, color combination methods of a material design color system that recommends harmonized colors automatically and of a mobile web application were applied to a mobile application design and a color combination experiment was carried out. Then for a survey on the experiment using the two methods, color combinations, selected colors and satisfaction with outputs were investigated on a 7-point Likert scale. And color combination characteristics of outputs were compared. It was found that the material design color palette made it easy to select colors by systematizing the regular coloring stages of fixed colors automatically, but there were differences in color compositions and color scopes of dominant color, assort color and accent colors, which are three-color combinations of mobile web application and accent color selection function was required for each design, since only primary colors and secondary colors could be selected. Moreover, chromatic colors were used a lot in the material system because of the fixed color scopes and color combination scopes and images of color combination outcomes varied depending on the color combination scopes, even when tones with a big contrast or complementary colors were selected. The role of color composition was important according to the color combination scopes.

A Study on Comparison Analysis of the Design Factors between Korea and China Shopping mall Websites (한·중 쇼핑몰 웹 사이트의 디자인 요인에 대한 비교분석)

  • This paper mainly focuses on the design factors of a website targeted at shopping mall websites in China and Korea. We formulated 15 different hypotheses regarding how those design factors are different. The targeted websites are "Gmarket" in Korea and "Taobao" in China. The selected design factors of a shopping mall website are (1) color and design, (2) photo, graphic, and font size, (3) the clarity of information delivery, (4) website structure, (5) screen balance, (6) product display, (7) product harmony, (8) a form of font and icon, (9) visual atmosphere, (10) differentiated color, (11) interesting words, (12) technical skills, (13) entire visual design and atmosphere, (14) navigation, (15) search function for products or information. As a result of analyzing the result using the SAS 9.2 package tool, we figured out that there was a difference between design factors. Additionally, we analyzed this difference and suggested a strategy to design the effective shopping mall web sites.

  • 스텔스 기능성 섬유의 위장은 주간의 경우, 육안 및 망원경 관측에 의해 결정되며 주변자연환경 color matching과 패턴이 핵심 스텔스 요인으로 구성되고, 가시광선 영역 스텔스로 표현할 수 있으며, 군 위장 체계에 있어 기본이 되는 기술 분야로 모든 군 위장제품에 활용되는 필수적인 기술 분야이다. 따라서 가시영역의 위장은 다양한 색상의 위장포와 포의 펀칭 등에 의한 파형특성을 부여하고 주위환경과 특성 조화를 이룸으로써 대상을 위장한다. 주요인자는 색상별 색도, 색차이다. 야간 위장은 근적외선 관측 장비의 탐지에 의해 결정되며 주변자연환경 NIR 반사율과 위장제품의 NIR 반사율 저하/제어기술이 핵심 스텔스 요인으로 구성되고, 근적외선(NIR) 영역 스텔스로 표시할 수 있으며, NIR 스텔스는 대개의 경우 기본적으로 섬유제품이 NIR 영역에서 높은 반사율을 나타내므로 NIR 반사율 저하/제어기술이 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 근적외선 영역(600~1250nm)의 적외선 반사특성을 산림지역의 반사특성과 조화시켜 위장효과를 부여한다. 위장포에서는 적외선 흡수 색소를 사용하여 적절한 반사특성을 나타나게 해야 한다. 위장용섬유가 detector의 탐지에서 벗어나려면 현재 700~1250nm의 근적외선파장영역에서 주변환경과 유사한 반사율을 지녀야한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 "숲 연구소" 및 서울대학교 "지반공학연구실"의 자문을 받아서 우리나라에서 가장 많이 존재하는 자연환경시료를 선정하여, 선정된 시료의 근적외선영역에서의 반사율을 분석하였다. 자연시료는 산간, 해안, 평야지형으로 각각 구분하여 주변 자연지형에 따른 자연시료의 근적외선영역의 반사율값을 비교하였다. 북한산에서 산간지형의 시료를 채취하였고, 해안지형의 시료는 강화도 동막해수욕장 부근, 평야지형의 시료는 인천 강화도 평야지역에서 채취하여 분석하였다. 비교분석한 지형별 자연시료의 근적외선 반사율값의 데이터베이스구축을 통하여 기존의 위장복과의 비교 적용 및 차후 개선사항 등을 검토하고자 한다.

Enhancing harmony of color theme by changing the order of colors (색의 순서 변경을 이용한 색의 조화 개선 방법)

  • Color harmony is affected by order of colors or orderly arrangement as well as harmonious colors themselves. In this paper, we show people perceive the degree of harmony differently according to the orderly arrangement of colors. Especially, we use the order of colors in color themes, or color schemes which have been largely used for color selection. We first present the method for harmony calculation of Ou's researches[1][2] and then suggest a method considering minimum color distance of component colors. For a design consisting of multiple colors, we show overall harmony of colors is more important than each harmony of adjacent component colors. By user study, we conclude that the suggested method can enhance the harmony of color theme.

  • In this research, in order to find out the effect of the area ratio in the harmonic sense assessment of the coloration of Korean clothes, the coloration of a Korean jacket and a skirt was compounded with a similar coloration and a contrast coloration. The respondents were asked to evaluate 16 stimuli of the traditional Korean skirt and jacket with the coloration of the Korean jacket/ skirt, the skirt/ Korean jacket was separately compounded to be 4 tones such as vivid, light, dull, dark. The subjects were 44 female undergraduate students. The results of each can be summerized as follows. As to similar coloration, the korean yellow jacket and red skirt, Korean students feel vivid and dull tone was harmonious, and American students feel vivid, light, and dark tone were harmonious coloration. In inversed case, red korean jacket and yellow skirt, both countries' students recognized that the vivid tone was harmonious. Korean students gave higher points to korean traditional dress in similar coloration such as yellow korean jacket which was small area and red skirt which was large area coloration than inversed color area ratio which red korean jacket and yellow skirt. As to contrast coloration, the korean green jacket and red skirt, Korean students feel vivid tone was harmonious, and American students feel vivid, dark tone were harmonious coloration. In inversed case, red korean jacket and green skirt were recognized that any tone was not harmonious for both countries' students. Both countries of student showed the culture gap. Compared with American students, Korean students were familiar with korean dress's traditional coloration, as a result familiar coloration was recognized harmonious coloration.

회화에 표현된 한국전통 복색(服色)의 배색특성에 관한 연구

  • 색상특성은 각 계열별로 차이가 있었으나 전반적 으로 고명도.저채도 중심으로 황색계열과 청색계열 은 고명도 위주의 분포특성을 보였다. 이어 반하여 적색계열은 비교적 색조의 영역이 넓었으며 고채도 의 분포특성이 두드러졌다. 자색계열은 저명도.중 채도, 녹색계열은 고명도.저채도 중심이었다. 남.녀복의 색조유형으로서 여복에서는 white보다는 tone 중심의 색조특성이 나타났으며. 남복에서는 white를 제외한 tint의 색조유형이 많았다. 이는 당시대인의 백색지향 의식을 대변하는 것으로 사료된다. 음양오행론의 배색원리에 의해 검토한 결과 여복 은 상생이 남복보다 낮게 집계되었으며, 반대로 파버 비렌의 색채조화의 배색원리에 의한 검토 철과는 남 복보다 여복의 적용수치가 높았다. 이것은 감각적인 색채조화 보다는 의례적인 성향이 좀 더 징한 남복이 서구의 색채조화의 척도에 적합하지 않은 결과로 추측된다. 전통복의 배색특성은 남녀가 매우 다른 양상을 보 이고 있었다. 여복의 기본 복식구조인 저고리/치마 는 백/청색계열, 백/황색계열과의 배색이 중심으로서 면적대비 및 명도대비에 의한 조화가 이루어지고 있었다. 반면에 저고리의 배색은 유채색과 백색계열 의 배색으로 채도대비의 성향이 강했다. 남복은 황/백색계열. 백/청색계열로 명도의 차가 크지 않았다. 포/띠의 의복 구성에 있어서는 흑색 또 는 적.자색 등의 세조대(細條帶)로 인해 채도대비, 면적대비, 명도대비의 배색효과를 찾아볼 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 분석결과를 통한 한국인의 색사용의 특정은 복식의 전면에 등장하는 백색지향과 음양오 행설을 그 배경으로 하고 있다. 백색위주의 색사용은 인공미가 배제된 자연미의 추구에 기인한 것으로 토착화된 한국의 색으로 볼 수 있다. 백색은 여러 색을 통합하고 배색된 색채착화된 한국의 색으로 볼 수 있다. 백색은 여러 색을 통합하고 배색된 색채들을 담하게 만드는 것이 특징 으로 한국전통 복식의 배색특성을 주도하고 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 회화자료를 근거한 것으로 풍속화의 변색 및 탈색에 의해 당시대의 정확한 색채규명이 어려우며, 실물작품이 아닌 도판을 통한 측 색으로 색의 오차가 발생할 수 있음을 연구의 한계 점으로 언급하고자 한다.

Effects of Various Sub-ingredients on Sensory Quality of Korean Cabbage Kimchi (배추김치의 관능적 품질에 미치는 부재료의 영향)

  • Effects of various sub-ingredients (hot pepper, garlic, ginger, green onion, leek, salted and fermented anchovy juice, and sugar) on the sensory quality of Korean cabbage kimchi were investigated. Sixteen sensory attributes were selected and their intensities evaluated by 20 panelists. The kimchi had an unbarmonized taste and unpleasant flavor when fermented with individual sub-ingredients, but had a well harmonized taste when fermented with all sub-ingredients. Hot pepper, ginger and garlic contributed to reduction of the unpleasatnt taste and moldy odor. The strong garlic flavor was reduced by adding green onion and leek. Salted and fermented anchovy juice gave a palatable taste, and the overall taste was improved by adding sugar. All sub-ingredients except sugar reduced the sour tasts.

A study on the change of traditional colors in modern women's Hanbok (현대 여자 한복에 나타난 전통 색상의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Modern Hanbok tends to use new colors based on traditional colors and their symbolic meanings. In addition to the traditional colors, various expressions have been increased, it is necessary to consider the color and color trend used in modern clothing. This study focused on the period 2011 - 2020 and analyzed the main color and coloring method of top and skirt by year with 450 data from a total of 81 wedding magazines. The results of examining the characteristics of traditional colors during the target period are as follows. First, the main color of the Jeogori showed a distribution of various colors in the first half, but the main color of the skirt concentrated on black, white and light pink in the second half. Second, while the use of blue and green systems decreased, Dang-ui color changed to warm yellow, green, and red systems. The Baeja used plain dark white in the first half; however in the latter half, they changed to white or accented colors. The one-piece used various colors in the first half, but only black and white appeared in the second half. Third, in the upper and lower colors of Hanbok, the blue-red color, the traditional contrast color of the first half, decreased significantly in the second half. The appearance rate of proximity for the complementary color harmony of white-red color and the adjacent color harmony of white-blue increased.

  • This paper proposes color transformation of images based on user's preference. Traditional color transformation method transforms only hue based on existing templates that define range of harmonious hue. It does not change saturation and intensity. Users would appreciate the resulting images that adjusted unnatural hue of images. Since color is closely related to peoples' emotion, we can enhance interaction of emotion-based contents and technologies. Therefore, in this paper, we define the range of color of each emotion for the transformation of color and perform the transformation of hue, saturation and intensity. However, the relationship of color and emotion depends on the culture and environment. To reflect these characteristics in color transformation, we propose the transformation of color that is based on user's preference and as a result, people would be more satisfied. We adopt interactive genetic algorithm to learn about user's preference. We surveyed the subject to analyze user's satisfaction about transformed images that are based on preference, and we found that people prefer transformed images to original images. Therefore, we conclude that people are more satisfied with the transformation of the templates which reflected user's preference than the one that did not.
