Chatbot UX in a Mobile Environment (모바일 환경에서의 챗봇 UX)

  • In many businesses, chatbots enhance the user experience by providing the most immediate and direct feedback to user questions. The area of use of chatbots is growing. In this study, the three types of chatbot definition, command method, function, and platform are classified according to their distinct factors. In the process, the functional delimiter element is necessary for the Chatbot UX, which is a key technical element of the functional part of pattern recognition, natural language processing, semantic web, text mining, and context-aware computing. However, the limitations at this stage were also known. Based on this, we analyzed the chatbot's UX elements for Facebook, Skype, Telegram, and Google Assistant for a better user experience. Basic UI elements such as cards, quick response, command, and application of persistent menus are needed as user experience elements.

  • Web services are independent on a platform and are suitable in the Ubiquitous environment which an interaction for each device. Ubiquitous web services can use various applied service in any network neighborhood or terminal. Main characteristic of Ubiquitous is context-awareness. Therefore, Ubiquitous web services must include context-aware control process and protect user privacy because context-aware environment collects privacy data. But current web services standard is not specially designed in respect of context-communication. Therefore, the framework which can add flexibility in transmission of context is required. Our Framework can give extension for context and can communicate flexibly Context information for every session. Therefore, Our Framework can solve overhead problem of context in SOAP message and protect user's privacy according to user preference.

The Influencing Factors and Moderating Factors on Intention to Continuously Use Car-Hailing Mobility Service (차량호출 모빌리티 서비스 지속이용의도의 영향요인 및 조절요인 연구)

  • Mobility services are rapidly developing along with information and communication technology (ICT) innovation. Recently, the on-demand mobility platform market is growing, and an environment is provided in which users can call services more conveniently and check the connection status in real time using smartphones. This study investigates the current status of users' perceptions and experiences of car-hailing mobility services such as KAKAO Taxi and UT Taxi, and it analyzes the factors affecting the intention to continuously use the car-hailing service, focusing on environmental and instrumental benefits and trust in driver and platform. In particular, this study examines whether the significance of the relationship between influencing factors and continuous use intention could vary depending on the degree of innovativeness and ICT utilization. The results of this study showed that perceived benefits (environmental benefits and convenience and economic instrumental benefits) and trust in driver had significant effects on increasing trust in platform. It was analyzed that the higher the trust in platform, the higher the intention to continuously use the car-hailing service. Furthermore, the influence of perceived environmental benefits and economic benefits on the trust in platform was different depending on the degree of individual innovativeness, and the influence of convenience and economic benefits on the trust in platform varied depending on the degree of ICT utilization. Referring to the results of this study, mobility service providers can better understand the current status of users' perceptions and trust for car-hailing services, and implement service promotion strategies suitable for individual characteristics.

  • In these days, the trends of home networking system is implementation of easily configured system with home security of emergency alarm and visitor verification services. In this paper, we implemented push server system based on Arduino of open source physical computation platform to verify visitors for the homes without home networking services. In the suggested system, visitor verification is performed in and out of home, and home access security of the system could be constructed with low-cost price by use of windows push server system and smart devices with alarm operation in corresponding to not allowed access trying.

  • 최근 지식정보 사회는 IT가 핵심 구성요소인 스마트 사회로 변모하고 있으며, 인간과 사물 간 의사소통에서 사물과 사물 간 의사소통까지 확장하고, IT간 융합에서 나아가 타 산업과 융합하는 지능형 사회로 나아가고 있다. '공간'에 대한 정보는 '시간'과 함께 인간이 생활하는데 있어 반드시 알아야 하는 가장 근본적인 정보로써, 공간에서 발생하는 정보를 기반으로 다른 사람들과 소통을 하고 목적을 충족함으로써 삶의 질을 향상시킨다. 현대 사회에서 공간정보는 중요한 인프라 가치를 증대시키므로 새로운 사회 패러다임 전환을 위한 필수적인 요소라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수재해 정보 플랫폼 구현에 앞서 사용자의 니즈를 만족시키고 효용가치 증대가 가능하도록 공간정보서비스 활용 방안 연구를 하고자 한다. 공간정보는 시대의 흐름에 따라 형태 및 생산?활용방법이 달라졌으나 항상 중요한 정보로 인식되어 왔으며, 미래 공간정보는 단순 콘텐츠 영역을 뛰어넘어 상황(Context)정보까지 범위를 확장하였다. (1)미국의 공간정보는 시설, 기록관리 및 지도와 같은 공공분야에서 현재는 업무통합관리, 의사결정지원 등에서 데이터 웨어하우스(Data Warehouse)로서의 역할 담당한다. (2)일본은 아시아 최고의 원천기술력을 보유하고 있으며, 높은 수준의 GIS, RS(위성항측), ITS(지능형 교통 시스템) 기술을 기반으로 하고 있다. (3)영국은 지리정보시스템과 공공서비스를 접목하여 시민의 요구에 부응하는 고객맞춤형서비스 제공을 국가정보화의 우선과제로 선정하고 있다. (4)우리나라는 초고속통신망과 모바일 기술 등 세계 최고 수준의 인프라를 확보하고 있어, 이러한 인프라 기반융 복합 공간정보서비스를 이용하는데 안정적인 기반을 확보하고 있다. 본 연구는 국내외 공간정보서비스의 패러다임 변화 및 추진 동향 등을 제시하였으며, 수재해정보 플랫폼 활용에 능동적 적극적으로 접근할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다. 공간정보서비스를 활용하여 커뮤니케이션 강화, 수재해 정보 서비스의 효율성 증진, 재해부문 선진화 측면에서 발전적 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 특히 각종 현안에 대한 미래 예측 및 대응에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Public Interest of Smart Media and Online Service Policy of Public Broadcasting Stations (공영방송의 스마트 미디어 및 인터넷 정책의 공익성에 관한 연구)

  • With the expansion of digital media platform, there has been a new conceptualization about public function of public broadcasting in and around European countries. Although there are differences between countries, Universal Access including smart and Internet media has been emphasized in Britain and France. However, there is lack of public discussion on service strategy of Internet and smart media platform when public function of public broadcasting is discussed. Therefore, this study tried to investigate not only the public function of public broadcasting in the field of Internet and smart media through audience research but also how the national public broadcasting stations ensure public interest and competitiveness in the field of Internet and smart media platform. The results suggested that smart phone users evaluated real-time broadcasting and VOD are the most important services among the public functions which public broadcasting stations have to persue. Futhermore, the users showed high intension to use when the free real-time broadcasting service is offered. Therefore, public broadcasting stations have to improve the social recognition on necessity and public interest of public broadcasting stations through the free real-time broadcasting services on Internet and smart media platform. And policies which can ensure competitiveness in the era of digital media are needed to become important broadcasting institute.

  • In an autonomous driving environment, dynamic recognition of objects is essential as the situation changes in real time. In addition, as the number of sensors and control modules built into an autonomous vehicle increases, the amount of data the central control unit has to process also rapidly increases. By minimizing the output data from the sensor, the load on the central control unit can be reduced. This study proposes a dynamic object recognition algorithm solely using the embedded processor on a LiDAR sensor. While there are open source algorithms to process the point cloud output from LiDAR sensors, most require a separate high-performance processor. Since the embedded processors installed in LiDAR sensors often have resource constraints, it is essential to optimize the algorithm for efficiency. In this study, an embedded processor based object recognition algorithm was developed for autonomous vehicles, and the correlation between the size of the point clouds and processing time was analyzed. The proposed object recognition algorithm evaluated that the processing time directly increased with the size of the point cloud, with the processor stalling at a specific point if the point cloud size is beyond the threshold

  • Geofence is a generic concept for describing geographic aspects of PoI(Point of Interest) enabling users to proactively induce context-based actions. However there is no need to maintain continuity when you reflect geofence in case of temporary events, accidents and isolation. Therefore we propose a geofence platform so-called TemG by adding time-limited information to support PoI. The proposed geofence platform TemG ensures the persistency and continuity of geofence. Furthermore, the proposed TemG can not only provide to automatically activate or deactivate the specified geofence during a period of timestamp but also support to the basic context-aware service knowing in/out in the zone. In the near future, the proposed TemG will be need to extend HPS(Hybrid Positioning System) for IoT(Internet of Things).

  • The future battlefield environment has changed platform centric warfare into a network centric warfare. The NCO is a operational concept to improve combat power through information sharing, shared situational awareness, decision making and synchronized action based on powerful network grid. In addition, these operational environment is composed of physical, information, cognitive and social domains. The platform environment system is associated with the OSI 7 layer. However, OSI 7 layer is limited to express NCW environment including cognitive and social domains. Therefore, we requires a new model for expressing cognitive and social domains. After we developed a new model, this model applied to the NCW architecture taxonomy.

  • Signage can be defined as the media device that provides specific information to many unspecified users in public places. Recently applied context-aware technology, signage provides personal on-demand information services in a way that can continue to evolve. The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of types which users identify signage on the perceptions and attitudes about consideration of the perspective of the experts in the fields. The research is carried out by applying Q methodology with in-depth interview. First, interviews are conducted to determine the perceptions and attitudes of experts and practitioners on signage. Thereafter users' perceptions and attitudes toward signage are classified by each types using Q methodology. The first type is named as 'signage as smart media', the second type is named as 'signage as passive media', and the third type is named as 'signage as interactive media' is named. The results of this study will be useful guidelines for conducting further academic researches and R&D.
