This study investigated the process of change of 32 urban parks designated during the period of Japanese colonial rule according to growth and development of the city in Busan. Particularly, researching included analyizing books, notification, data, and documents relevant to the history of urban planning published by Busan city. As a result, Daejeong Park, Gokwan Park, and Yongdusan Park had been utilized by Japanese residents under the Japanese colonial rule before planning of urban parks, and 32 parks legally specified in 1944 were planned by considering the prevention against disasters. After emancipation, there were an unauthorized building, housing construction, business district, public office, and school facility in the sites of the parks due to the influence of the Korean War and reorganization of urban planning. The majority of parkways and small parks downtown were eliminated. However, unexecuted parks that the government had designed on the edge of town during the Japanese colonial period have become major parks downtown through the city's growth. Yeonji Park, Yangjeong Park, and Danggok Park have been being building as a business of parks for a comfortable city, forming downtown along with the Green-Busan Policy. Thus, 32 parks designated under the Japanese colonial rule have made or got out of use reflecting on the phases of the times of modern Korean society. It turns out that these parks need an investigation about condition for land possession and purchase of the site of the parks in order for social common capital.
The combustion test for real box of AC outdoor unit has been performed in this study in order to estimate the fire hazard in multi-system type of AC outdoor unit which is currently used for commercial use. The result showed that in test, there was explosion inside of AC outdoor unit, and flame erupted and fire spread through upper side grill. And then this fire burnt the combustibles such as wires, electronic control board, heat exchange copper plate and plastics etc inside the unit, refrigerant gas pipe was burst due to fire, and accelerated the explosion and flame eruption to outside while the refrigerant was erupting. It is found in this test that the maximum heat release rate of AC outdoor unit is 5,830 kW, the maximum internal temperature measured with infrared camera and thermocouple is $1,201^{\circ}C$, maximum ambient temperature is $881^{\circ}C$, and flame rose higher than about 5 m. It is concluded that the fire in AC outdoor unit cause fire to combustibles around the unit, and may give big damage by generating the secondary fire. It is expected that the result obtained from the test on the real object may be applied to fire realization of AC outdoor unit and estimation of fire spreading to the combustibles around in the future computer simulation.

Many disputes are happened with various causes in overseas construction projects. One of major disputes is closely related with nominated subcontractors (NSC). This paper investigates 30 judical precedents for Singapore, Malaysia and Hongkong to analyze the detailed disputes related with the NSC, and then the judical precedents are classified into 6 categories: Delay and Defect Trouble (T1), Contract Relation (T2), Payment Trouble (T3), Set-off (T4), Liquidation (T5) and so forth (T6). According to the analytical results, the frequency of occurrence of disputes is considerably related with social and economical changes, and the dispute between NSC and employer for residential and commercial building projects is the most frequently happened case. As the results of analysis, therefore, it is concluded that the employer needs to response aggressively to the problems related with NSC, and it is also important to make the council for communication among related bodies. Furthermore, the institutional reform that make the role and the responsibility of employer consistent under considering contract terms and conditions is considered as the most important and fundamental issue.
Keiji Kobo is a unique self-generated design research group in Japan, which was founded in 1928 when Bauhaus movement was in its peak, and which lasted ten years until the end of the Second World War, when any activity of the group became virtually impossible due to the war. With insight to see the future, the group aimed at Modern Design advocating a new spirit in architecture, and played a significant role in prosperity of Japanese Modern Design assimilating Western design trends. Pursuing of craft works for everyday life--practical furniture works--Keiji Kobo actively executed various projects to realize modern philosophy. The range of the works of this group was very large: survey, mock-up, experiment, research, exhibition, lecture, order-based sale, advertising and writing. The works of the group were oriented to serious academicism, not compromising with commercialism. Considering the peculiar political situation such as Japanese Militarism, the spirit of functionalism that the group pursued was surprisingly academical and pure. This group was relatively small and clumsy, which lasted as short as around ten years. However, strong motivation was in their seemingly quiet movements, and the influence of the group cannot be underestimated even with today's criteria. There were a number of pioneers who contributed to today's prosperity of Japan and Keiji Kobo can be estimated to be one of the pioneers in the field of design. It was found that the contemporary intellectuals hoped that the committment and activity of the group would contribute to modernization of the life quality of ordinary people. In a sense, Keiji Kobo can be estimated to be a little Japanese equivalent for Bauhaus that could not fully bloom.

The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of spatial structure of Jiangnan water town in China which has been developed along the water channel. Spatial structural characteristics of the water town, Wuzhen and Nanxun in Zhejiang Province are as follows. First, location of town, spatial framework, lot division, and architectural style get determined by the water channel. The water channel is constructed in cross shape, T-shape, or in combination. Secondly, public space of water town is established along main water channel. Visually and functionally alternating private buildings are established on the water channel side and they are creating unique landscape of Jiangnan water town in overall harmony. Thirdly, residential area is established on the east-west water channel side with southward sunny-faced arrangement and waterside residence is in introvert spatial structure with courtyard but the exterior space is connected with water channel intimately. Fourthly, various spatial components along the water channel enrich the sense of place in water town. The components are corridor with roof, tea house, waterside steps, waterside theater and watergate etc. Uniqueness of place is becoming the core competence in modern townscape. In this aspect, Jiangnan water town with historical and cultural accumulation is suggesting a significant implication. Major implications are as follows. First, promotion of proximity to the water is the basic value that the spatial plan of waterfront needs to pursue. Secondly, mixed use is essential for effective land use and revitalization of waterfront. Thirdly, waterfront plan based on the local uniqueness as the place asset is being required.
MDF was treated on the surface of MDF with fire retardant lacquer, water-soluble flame retardant coat and water-soluble wood cover on the MDF wood, and the pyrolysis characteristics and the atmospheric noxious gas generation characteristics were investigated by using the large capacity thermal analyzer. As a result of investigating pyrolysis and combustion gas generation characteristics after treatment of 0.11 / 11.55 g in terms of mass ratio, it was found that combustion starting time was slightly longer than that of pure MDF in the case of treatment with fire retardant lacquer. The combustion temperature was increased from $340^{\circ}C$ to $450^{\circ}C$. The pyrolysis and combustion gas generation characteristics of the MDF wood treated with the aqueous flame retardant coat showed the changes in combustion starting time and temperature from $260^{\circ}C$ to $542^{\circ}C$ for about 26 minutes at the mass ratio of 0.13 / 11g. Also, when the commercially available waterproof wood cover was treated with 0.13 / 11.55 g of MDF, the sudden weight change tended to increase from $300^{\circ}C$ to $370^{\circ}C$ and showed a second change at approximately $500^{\circ}C$.

This research aimed to develop the district unit plan simulation using procedural modeling based on shape grammar. For this, Esri's CityEngine 2020.0 was selected as a main development tool, and Inside Commercial Area in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul as the research site where about 25% of the total area was developed over the past five years. Specifically, the research developed the simulation through the following three phases of Data-Information-Knowledge after selecting necessary parameters. In the Data phase, 2 and 3 dimensional data were obtained by utilizing data sharing platforms. In the next Information phase, the acquired data were generated into various procedural models according to the shape grammar, and the 2D and 3D layers were then integrated using relevant applications. In the final Knowledge phase, three-dimensional spatial analysis and storytelling contents were produced based on the integrated layer. As a result, the research suggests the following three implications for the simulation development. First, data accuracy and improvement of sharing platforms are needed in order to effectively carry out the simulation development. Second, the guidelines for district unit plans could be utilized and developed into shape grammar for procedural modeling. Third, procedural modeling is expected to be used as an alternative tool for communication and information delivery.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the transition process of Gyeongpo lake and to analyze the viewing characteristics of each period in the pavilion. The view characteristics at pavilion were analyzed by overlapping classification maps of landscape types by period with the view range map from pavilion. The circumference and area of Gyeongpo lake have been reduced to 15.2km and 3.9km2 in the 1750s, 9.0km and 1.7km2 in the 1933, and now 4.41km and 1.0km2. By period, the largest decrease in the proportion of Gyeongpo lake viewed from Pavilion was Hwanseonjeong, which decreased by 48.0% from the 1750 to 2017. Hwallaejeong, Haeunjeong, and Hohaejeong were found to be impossible to view Gyeongpo lake as some of the adjacent lakes were changed to agricultural land. Pavilion has great significance as a space for traditional culture created in the background of humanities and natural environments. For the succession and development of Pavilion culture, it is necessary to use it as a cultural resource, to continuously manage the building, and to partially restore Gyeongpo lake considering the function of each pavilion.

In order to establish a balanced development plan at the local government level, it is necessary to understand the current urban spatial structure. In particular, since the central area is a key element of balanced development, it is necessary to accurately identify its location and size. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the central area system for Busan and to derive underprivileged areas that were alienated from the service areas where the functions of the central area could be used. To identify the central area system, four indicators(De facto Population, Land Price, Commercial Buildings, Credit Card Consumption) were used to calculate the central area index, and Getis-Ord Gi* and DBSCAN analysis were performed. Next, the hierarchy of the central areas were classified and the service areas were derived through network analysis by using it. As a result of the analysis, a total of 12 central areas were found in Seomyeon, Jungang, Yeonsan, Jangsan, Haeundae, Deokcheon, Dongnae, Daeyeon, Sasang, Pusan National University, Busan Station, and Sajik. Most of the underprivileged areas affected by the central area appeared in the Eastern area of Busan and the Western area of Busan, and were derived from old industrial areas, residential areas, and some new cities. Based on the results of the study, we can find three meanings. First, we have made a new attempt to apply a machine learning methodology that has not been covered in previous studies. Second, our data show the difference between the actual data and the existing planned central areas. Third, we not only found the location of the central areas, but also identified the underprivileged areas.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the utilization rate of neighborhood parks and green spaces increased significantly, and the outbreak served as an opportunity to highlight the values and functions of neighborhood parks and green spaces for urban residents. This study aims to empirically analyze how citizens' movement and the use of neighborhood parks and green spaces changed before and after COVID-19 and examine the social and spatial characteristics that affected these changes. As a research method, first, people's mobility around neighborhood parks and green spaces before and after the COVID-19 pandemic were compared using signal data from telecommunication carriers. Through the analysis of changes in residence time and movement volume, the movement characteristics of citizens after COVID-19 and changes in walking-based park visits were examined. Second, the factors affecting the mobility change in neighborhood parks and green spaces were analyzed. The social and spatial characteristics that affect citizens' visits to neighborhood parks and green spaces before and after COVID-19 were examined through correlation and multiple regression analysis. Subsequently, through cluster analysis, the types of living areas for the post-COVID era were classified from the perspective of the supply and management of neighborhood parks and green spaces services, and directions for improving neighborhood parks and green spaces by type were presented. Major research findings are as follows: First, since the outbreak of COVID-19, activities within 500m of the residence have increased. The amount of stay and walking movement increased in both 2020 and 2021, which means that the need to review the quantitative standards and attractions of neighborhood parks and green spaces has increased considering the changed scope of the walking and living area. Second, the overall number of visits to neighborhood parks and green spaces by walking has increased since the outbreak of COVID-19. The number of visits to neighborhood parks and green spaces centered on the house and the workplace increased significantly. The park green policy in the post-COVID era should be promoted by discovering underprivileged areas, focusing on areas where residential, commercial, and business facilities are concentrated, and improving neighborhood parks and green services in quantitative and qualitative terms. Third, it was found that the higher the level of park green service, the higher the amount of walking movement. It is necessary to use indicators that contribute to improving citizens' actual park green services, such as walking accessibility, rather than looking at the criteria for securing green areas. Fourth, as a result of cluster analysis, five types of neighborhood parks and green spaces were derived in response to the post-COVID era. This suggests that it is necessary to consider the socioeconomic status and characteristics of living areas and the level of park green services required in future park green policies. This study has academic and policy significance in that it has laid the basis for establishing neighborhood parks and green spaces policy in response to the post-COVID era by using various analysis methodologies such as carrier signal data analysis, GIS analysis, and statistical analysis.
