  • In this study, a similarity rule is thoroughly discussed for tunnelling model tests which can simulate actual ground conditions. Based on this prior consideration, theoretical works are performed to simulate a real ground condition into a gravitational field with a similarity. A process is arranged to determine a lining condition in laboratory tests for a sandy ground tunnel.

  • This study analyzes the dispute settlement of between arbitration and litigation using a game theoretical approach. Many studies on arbitration have so far focused on the relevant institutions. However, there are few theoretical studies that have focused on the demand side of arbitration. The model presented here suggests conditions under which arbitration form a perfect Bayesian Nash equilibrium, provided that the players strategically choose a dispute settlement tool. Furthermore, the suggested model is used to analyze simple cases of international commercial dispute cases.

The Impact of Ethical Leadership on Unethical Pro-Supervisor Behavior: The Mediating Effect of Supervisor Identification and Affective Commitment (윤리적 리더십이 비윤리적 친상사 행동에 미치는 영향: 상사동일시와 정서적 몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study empirically examined the relationships among ethical leadership, supervisor identification(SI), affective commitment(AC), and unethical pro-supervisor behavior(UPSB) based on social learning theory and social exchange theory. The data were collected by conducting a survey of 339 workers and analyzed using SPSS25 and SPSS Process Macro (v3.5). The results were as follows. First, ethical leadership directly negatively influences UPSB. Ethical leadership indirectly positively influences UPSB mediated by SI. Second, ethical leadership, completely mediated by AC, indirectly positively influences UPSB. Third, ethical leadership has an indirect positive effect on AC mediated by SI. This study showed how ethical leadership works in organizations through social learning theory and social exchange theory. Also, it suggested implications on how to use ethical leadership in field.

  • A relaxed similarity theory which can be applied to river models with movable beds is established by modifying existing theory by Einstein and chien(1954). Experimental data collected from river models with movable beds were used to evaluate the applicability of the proposed theory. Effects of similarity of flow, ΔFΔM, and similarity of sediment movement, ΔFs, were examined by analyzing the behaviour of total river-bed change. The results show that the smaller ΔFΔM or ΔFs is, respectively, the larger total sedimentation is. The modified similarity theory established in this study would be useful and practical whenever it is impossible or very difficult to satisfy strict theoretical requirements concerning the river model experiments with movable beds.   • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of sex of supervisor on the stress and promotion of Korean women workers in the workplace using the Korean Women Manager Panel. The results demonstrate that when the direct boss of female workers was female, stress in the workplace was high and the promotion rate of staff and assistant managers was low. According to the theory of queen bee phenomenon and role congruity theory, a structure of glass ceiling and the male-dominated working culture does not require positive qualities of female leadership but requires a high recognition standard or competitiveness. It can be interpreted that the female worker with the female supervisor showed more stress in the workplace and the probability of female promotion in staff and assistant managers is low.

  • Laplace 및 Possion의 방정식을 만족하는 전장 및 자장으로 구성된 2차원 및 축대칭 3차원의 potential장을 물의 유동장을 이용한 fluid mapper로 상사해석함에 있어서 세극유로에 있어서의 유체전도율은 매질전도율로 압력은 전위로 유동장의 세기는 전장의 세기로, 유량밀도는 전류밀도로 각각 상사되며 또한 사상형에 있어서는 사상영역외에 존재하는 유선은 등자위선을 의미함을 논문에서 밝혔다. 이 논문에서는 사상형 fluid mapper의 전 유로 및 사상영역에 잇어서의 유체력학적 현상을 이론적으로 규명하여 이를 전기적 등가회로와 상사 해석함으로써 사상형 fluid mapper가 내포하고 있는 제량간의 상호관계를 명백히 하며 몇 가지 대표적인 사례를 들어 사상형 fluid mapper의 응용에 대하여 기술하였다.

Ethical Leadership and CSR Attitude of Employees: Moderating Effect of Supervisor's Performance (윤리적 리더십과 기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 종업원 태도 간의 관계: 상사 성과의 조절효과)

  • This research is an empirical study to analyze the relationship among the ethical leadership of supervisor, CSR attitude of subordinate, and supervisor's performance evaluated by subordinate. A survey was conducted for the employees of a large manufacturing company in Korea, and 196 questionnaires were analyzed. Results of multiple regression analyses showed that the relationship between the ethical leadership of supervisor and the CSR attitude of subordinate was positively significant. That is, the supervisor's ethical leadership leads the subordinate's positive CSR attitude. And, supervisor's performance evaluated by subordinate positively moderated the relationship between ethical leadership and CSR attitude. That is, when subordinates assesses the supervisor's performance as high, the positive relationship between supervisor's ethical leadership and subordinate's CSR attitude becomes relatively stronger. Theoretical and managerial implications of these empirical results were discussed.

  • In this paper, a geometric similarity law is introduced to the performance test of a large-sized silencer used in ship engine or plant system. A test of scale-down model enable to yield the cost and time saving in developing large-sized silencer considerably. Two types of silencer, resonator and expansion chamber, were analyzed by a theoretical method and an acoustical FEM(finite element method) in order to obtain geometric similarity variables. A method is proposed to estimate the transmission loss of prototype model using the test results of scale-down model. Two actual large-sized silencer, which consist of resonator and expansion chamber, were analysed by an acoustical FE analysis. Consequently, the proposed method predicts effectively the performance of prototype silencers using those of scale-down models.
