The Mediating Effect of Protean Career Attitude on the Relationship Between Coaching Leadership and Career Satisfaction (코칭리더십과 경력만족 간의 관계에서 프로티언 경력태도의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is as follows: First, this study investigates the effect of the supervisor's coaching leadership on the employee's protean career attitude. Second, we examine the effect of a protean career attitude on career satisfaction. Finally, we examine the mediating effect of protean career attitude on the relationship between supervisor's coaching leadership and career satisfaction. As a result of analyzing the data of 329 employees from pharmaceutical companies, the positive influence of coaching leadership on the protean career attitude was significant. The positive effect of the protean career attitude on career satisfaction was significant. The mediating effect of the protean career attitude on the relationship between coaching leadership and career satisfaction was significant. The findings of this study provide an understanding regarding the concept of career development, which has recently changed from an organization-centered to an individual-centered perspective. Also, this study has theoretical and practical implications for the field of human resource development in that it suggests the type of leadership as an antecedent of protean career attitudes.

Effect of Military Officer's Ethical Disposition and Perceived Work Environment on Organizational Security Policy Compliance (군장교의 윤리적 성향과 업무환경 지각이 조직의 보안정책준수에 미치는 영향)

  • Based on the social control theory, this study intends to find out the influential factors of organizational members' information security policy compliance (ISPC). Survey data from 195 military officers were analyzed to examine the effect of ethical disposition (morality, responsibility, the perceived value of ethical education) and perceived work environment (relationships with supervisors, overwork, and pay satisfaction) on ISPC attitude, ISPC intention, and turnover intention. The results of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) show that ethical dispositions affect ISPC attitude and that work environments (except for pay satisfaction) affect turnover intention. In addition, ISPC attitude significantly mediates relations between ethical disposition and ISPC intention, between relationships with supervisors and ISPC intention, and between turnover intention and ISPC intention. These findings suggest that ethical disposition factors can predict an individual's security awareness level, and the ISPC attitude is a significant variable in the organizational security context.

The Relationship between Workplace Bullying and Depression: The Roles of Psychological Safety and Supervisor and Co-worker Compassion (직장 내 괴롭힘과 우울증의 관계: 심리적 안전감과 상사와 동료의 컴패션의 역할)

  • Employee well-being, along with its associated barriers and improvement strategies, has become an escalating concern for researchers and organizations worldwide. This study examined the mechanism behind workplace bullying and depression, exploring the role of psychological safety as a mediating factor. Additionally, we investigated the potential impact of organizational compassion, distinguishing between supervisor and co-worker compassion, as a means of supporting employees subjected to workplace bullying. Based on an analysis of 392 online survey responses from full-time employees in South Korea, our findings demonstrate that workplace bullying undermines psychological safety, resulting in increased depression rates among employees. As anticipated, supervisor compassion mitigated the adverse effect of workplace bullying, whereas co-worker compassion did not exhibit the same moderating effect. These results emphasize the importance of fostering a supportive and compassionate work environment led by supervisors to lessen the strain on employee well-being. Theoretical and practical implications, along with directions for future research, are discussed.

Development of a Set of an Experimental Equipment of Westerly Wave for High School (고등학교에 적합한 편서풍 파동 실험장치 개발)

  • Due to a lack of reproducibility and visibility of the conventional equipment for westerly wave simulation, it is difficult to have indoor experiments at high school that show the stream of Hadley cell. A modified improvement of the old one improves the problem. The side wall and bottom of the new equipment is made by copper and acrylic resin, respectively, in order to clarify the difference between the water temperature inside and outside of the water tank. The equipment also has a high quality digital record for generating exact analysis of the results. And we also carried out several experiments that relate theoretical and experimental aspection of westerly wave. Temperature Detected Sheet (TDS) in flow visualization unit provides not only visual information of liquid flow, but also clear understanding of the relation between upper and lower wind flow structure. And the liquid stream simulated in indoor experiment using proposed equipment is commensurate with westerly wave in real atmosphere. The efficiency of educational properties of the proposed equipment is verified indirectly by Likert Scales survey of high school teachers.

A Study on the Effectiveness and Relationship Between Servant Leadership and Intrinsic Motivation -The Focus of Service Enterprises- (서번트 리더십(Servant Leadership)과 내적 동기간의 관계 및 그 효과성에 관한 연구 -서비스업체를 중심으로-)

  • This study tested the relationship between servant leadership and intrinsic motivation. And, the mediating role of intrinsic motivation between servant leadership and individual performance was also investigated. Based on related theory and literature review, 4 hypotheses were developed and tested. Questionnaires were distributed to 280 employees of 3 service enterprises. Among returned questionnaires, 214 samples were used for empirical study. According to results, listening behavior of supervisor had significant positive effects on intrinsic motivation of subordinate. But, sympathy behavior and service behavior of supervisor had no significant effects on intrinsic motivation of subordinate. Also, intrinsic motivation of subordinate had significant positive effects on job satisfaction and organization commitment. Finally, the results suggest that intrinsic motivation mediate the relationship between servant leadership and individual performance. The mediating role of intrinsic motivation between servant leadership and individual performance was partly or fully supported. Implications and directions for future research are discussed in conclusion.

A Study on the Behavior of Reinforced Earth Retaining Walls by Shaking Table Test (진동대 실험을 이용한 보강토 옹벽의 거동특성 연구)

  • In order to understand evaluation of the seismic stability of a reinforced earth retaining, we made chambers of 1:10 (the ratio of the miniature), considering the law of similarity based on drawings of representative cross sections. And we measured an increase in acceleration, earth pressure, and displacement after applying Hachinohe wave (long period), Ofunato wave (short period), and artificial wave, complying with the domestic standards, in order to evaluate the external stability of the reinforced earth retaining wall during earthquake based on the measurements. As a result, the unreinforced earth retaining wall collapsed at 2 g of seismic acceleration. But the reinforced earth retaining wall was evaluated to ensure proper stability as well, with respect to the earth pressure gauge, the increments of earth pressure tend to be raised significantly in the upper than the lower and showed a similar characteristic of behavior in previous theory.

Interpretation to Geomorphologic Parameters of Nash Model Based on Dynamic Fractal Dimensions of Channel Network (하천망의 동적 Fractal 차원을 기반으로 한 Nash 모형의 지형학적 매개변수에 대한 해석)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고전적 순간단위도 모형 중의 하나인 Nash 모형의 매개변수와 하천망의 동적 Fractal 차원 사이의 관계를 체계적으로 분석하여 해당 매개변수의 수문학적 의미를 추론해 보는 것이다. Nash 모형의 경우, GIUH 이론과의 결합을 통하여 Horton 비를 기반으로 한 두 매개변수의 지형학적 추정 방법이 일찍부터 제안되어 왔다 (Rosso, 1984; Bhunya, 2008). 특히 Liu(1992)는 2차원 자유 Euclidean 공간 내에서 percolation cluster 모형의 응집구조와 유역의 배수구조 사이의 비교를 통하여 하천망의 Fractal 차원을 정적 Fractal 차원과 동적 Fractal 차원으로 구분하고 양자의 수문학적 의미에 대하여 강조한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 문헌 조사 (Morisawa, 1962; Marani et al., 1991; Rosso et al., 1991)를 통하여 수집한 비교적 신뢰성 있는 국외 하천망들에 관한 정보를 기반으로 Nash 모형의 매개변수와 하천망의 동적 Fractal 차원 사이의 관계를 분석해 보았다. 주요한 결과로서 Nash 모형의 형상 매개변수와 하천망의 Fractal 차원 사이에는 밀접한 상관관계가 존재함을 알 수 있었으며 이를 통하여 하천망의 Fractal 차원을 이용하여 해당 매개변수를 직접 추정할 수 있는 관계식을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한 분광 차원과 Nash 모형의 첨두 좌표 사이의 관계를 통하여 겉보기에서로 다른 유역들 사이에 존재할 수 있는 수문학적 상사성을 평가할 수 있는 기준의 수립 역시 본 연구과정을 통하여 제시할 수 있으로 판단된다. 후속 연구로서 국내외 다수 유역들에 대한 지형분석을 통하여 본 연구에서 얻은 결과의 보편성을 검정하고 수문학적 자료들에 대한 검증을 통하여 Nash 모형을 기반으로 한 다양한 수문학적 모형들의 개선 방안을 제시해 보고자 한다.

Positive Psychological Capital and Turnover Intention: The Mediating Effect of Perceived Work Overload and the Moderating Effect of Trust in Supervisor (긍정심리자본이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 인지된 직무과부하의 매개효과와 상사신뢰의 조절효과)

  • This study analyzed the effect of an employee's psychological capacity(positive psychological capital), on perceived work overload, and explored how trust in supervisor moderated this relationship. In addition, we examined how positive psychological capital and perceived work overload influenced turnover intention. In doing so, we identified the antecedents of perceived work overload, and suggested ways to nurture positive psychological capital in organizations. Using survey data from 214 employees in the manufacturing industry in Korea, we found that positive psychological capital was negatively related to perceived work overload, and that the relationship was moderated by trust in supervisors. In addition, positive psychological capital was negatively associated while perceived work overload was positively associated with turnover intention. Results suggest the importance of understanding positive psychological capital given its crucial relationship with perceived work overload and turnover intention. The result also emphasizes the role that trust in supervisor plays, and the need to nurture employees' positive psychological capital in organizations.

An Experimental study on the applied Geocell mat in Rivers (지오셀 매트의 하천 호안시설 적용성에 관한 실험)

  • 최근 들어 생활수준의 향상과 친수 환경에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 하천환경의 보전과 개선에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 과거 이수 또는 치수 목저으로 정비되었던 하천을 자연형 하천으로 탈바꿈 시키려는 움직임이 많이 일어 나고 있다. 자연형 하천 공법의 연구는 1990년대부터 점차 이루어 지고 있으나, 호안의 식생 공법 연구 및 수리 실험을 이루어 지지 않는 실정이다. 이제 본 연구에서는 자연형 하천 정비의 대표적인 방법인 호안 사면 처리 공법 중 지오셀 식생 매트에 대한 수리모형 실험을 실시하였다. 고정상 실험을 통하여 활착된 지오셀 식생 매트가 허용할 수 있는 유속과 수위를 정하는데 목적을 두었고, 상사법칙 이론을 도입하여 수행된 실험결과를 정리 분석하였다. 분석된 실험치를 왜곡모형에 적용하여 실제 규모로 환산한 결과 현재 설계시 허용되는 유속에도 지오셀 식생 매트의 안정성이 확보되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 호안의 지오셀 식생매트의 적용이 가능 할 것으로 보이나, 제한적인 실험결과에 의해 왜곡모형을 이용하여 현장조건을 추정한 것이므로 적용 및 해석에 있어서는 실제 설치되는 하천의 복잡한 수리 수문학적인 변수가 충분히 고려되어야 할 것이다.

Effects of the Changes in Flow Pattern on Convective Heat Transfer in the Vicinity of Pipe Elbow (유동형태 변화가 배관 곡관부 대류열전달에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, by varying flow patterns, which is one of the hydraulic factors of FAC, a strategy to reduce pipe wall thinning by mass transfer has been investigated. A similarity between heat transfer and mass transfer was verified via theoretical analysis, and local convective heat transfer coefficients were analyzed using a commercial numerical analysis program. When ribs were installed inside and outside of the internal surface in the straight section of the pipe, the maximum local heat transfer coefficient was shown to decrease substantially by up to 24.9% compared to the basic flow depending on the position and shape of ribs. If a guide vein was inserted in the pipe elbow, the maximum local heat transfer coefficient decreased by up to 26.7% compared to the basic flow depending on the internal surface area of the pipe by the guide vein.
