Information Quality of CRM, Adaptive Selling Behavior and Salesperson Performance: The Mediating Role of Quality of the Customer Relationships (CRM 정보의 질, 적응적 판매행위 및 영업사원 성과 -고객관계의 질을 매개변수로 하여-)

  • This study aims to identify the effect of information quality of CRM and salespersons' adaptive selling behavior(ASB) on their performance. For this research goal, the authors established research model and hypotheses which focus to the mediating role of quality of customer relationship. The results of empirical analysis show that information quality of CRM has no direct effect on salesperson performance and just indirectly influence to it via quality of customer relationship. Compared to this result, ASB directly and indirectly affects on performance. These results suggest that the most important thing to enhance salesperson performance is the maintenance of good relationship with customers.

  • This study is aimed to determine whether there is any meaningful correlation between predictors and is intended to examine the relative influences that the pedagogical content knowledge of science teaching, scientific attitudes, science teaching intentions have on their science teaching efficacy. The results, showed that the childcare center teachers' pedagogical content knowledge of science teaching, scientific attitudes, science teaching intentions, and science teaching efficacy are all correlated with each other. The teachers' science teaching efficacy are predicted by their scientific attitudes, science teaching intentions, and pedagogical content knowledge of science teaching-learning methods. Specifically, for teachers of 0 to 2-year-olds, their science teaching efficacy is predicted by their science teaching intentions and scientific attitudes. For teachers of 3 to 5-year-olds, their science teaching is affected by their scientific attitudes and their pedagogical content knowledge.

Voters' Third-Person Perceptions -based on the Media Effect on the Presidential Candidates Images and Choice- (유권자의 제3자 효과 지각 연구 -후보자 이미지와 후보 선택에 미치는 미디어 효과를 중심으로-)

  • Based on the third-person effect hypothesis, this study conducted a nation-wide online survey to assess how Korean voters perceived the mass media's effect on the candidates' image and voting behavior during the 17th presidential election. The research results showed that the voters tended to perceive that the mass media such as newspaper, television and the Internet had a greater effect on others than on themselves with regards to the formation of the three candidates' images. The third-person effect on the voting behavior was also revealed differently in terms of the medium according to age and political tendency of the voters. For instance, the younger and liberal voters were likely to see newspaper as having a greater influence on other voters' choice of candidate, while the older voters saw TV as having a greater effect on other voters. The conservative tendency did not affect the perception of the voters at all. Another noteworthy result was that personal characteristics of the candidates' images such as appearances and communication skills did not affect the voters' behaviors in the election process.

Intergenerational economic mobility in Korea using a quantile regression analysis (한국의 세대 간 경제적 이동성 - 분위수회귀분석을 중심으로 -)

  • This study uses a quantile regression analysis to investigate intergenerational economic mobility in Korea. The analysis is based on data from the 1st through 11th waves of the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) conducted from 1998-2008. The household nature of the data allows us to link parents' incomes to children's incomes at different points in time. Using a quantile regression analysis instead of mean one reveals that the effect of fathers' earnings are different across the conditional distribution of sons' earnings, particularly being larger on the upper quantile than on the lower quantile. After controlling effect of sons' college education by including a dummy variable for the degree, however, the pattern among quantile effects for fathers' earnings is no longer clear. Instead a new pattern emerges that education has a much larger effect on the upper quantiles than on the lower ones. Using nonparametric estimates of conditional density curves based on the quantile regression results, we derive some interesting features in graphical forms, which are not obvious in numerical analysis.

The effects of benefit perception and risk perception on consumer evaluation during overseas direct purchase (해외직접구매의 혜택지각 및 위험지각 요인이 소비자 평가에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined factors, such as benefit perception, risk perception, product, and website, which affect consumer attitude toward overseas direct purchase. To achieve this, 298 Korean consumers who have experienced overseas direct purchasing were analyzed. The results show that delivery risk and product risk were the most influential determinants of the level of trust level in overseas direct purchase sites. In addition, the results of this study confirm that the level of trust in overseas direct purchase sites has a strong influence on both the intention to recommend and the intention to continue patronizing the site. Moreover, this study conducted a mean difference analysis according to the types of overseas direct purchases (overseas direct delivery, overseas purchasing agency, and overseas delivery agency) and product categories (clothes, food and beverage products, and household appliances). This study lists various practical implications that can be applied to each overseas direct purchase service by firm and consumer characteristics.

  • This study intends to deduce various purchase intention influential factor for mobile phone and thereby to clarify the causal relationship between these factors and purchase intention. As a result of the analysis of this study, we could know that first, when the impact about brand attitude on consumers is bigger, a positive affect is induced and the effects about personalization interface were also positive. Second, we could know that when the innovative tendency of consumers is stronger, they experience positive affects and the impact on personalization interface was also effective. However, it was clarified that when the innovative tendency is stronger, the impact on price gets smaller. Third, when the imitation tendency of consumers was higher, positive affects were induced, and when the interest in personalization interface of consumers was higher, positive affects were induced and the interest in price also gets higher. Fourth, we could check the influence of affect in the purchase intention of mobile phones.

Study on Impact of GUI Design Elements of Mobile Phone on Brand Preference With focus on senior citizens (모바일 폰의 GUI 디자인의 구성요소가 브랜드 선호도에 미치는 영향 실버세대를 중심으로)

  • This study has established the GUI design elements of mobile phones as color, text, layout, graphic icon, and video, under the purpose of exploring the relevance between such elements and brand preference among senior citizens. To accomplish the objective, a model and hypotheses were established, which were tested through a multiple regression analysis. The findings are as follows. First, when the statistical significance was examined by GUI design element of mobile phones, the following results were obtained: Color, text, layout, graphic icon, and video were statistically significant at the significance level given, indicating that such elements all affect brand preference. Second, the relative influence of GUI design elements of mobile phones on brand preference was revealed in the following order: text, color, video, graphic icon, layout. It indicates that boosting the brand preference of senior citizens for mobile phones requires considering 'text' and 'color' first before any other element. In addition, as the influence of 'text' and 'color' becomes greater, the brand preference also becomes higher.

  • This empirical study focused on examining the relationship between transactional transformational leadership style and power of construction project manager and the organizational effectiveness, respectively, and the moderating role of power between leadership and the organizational effectiveness. A 790 numbers useful questionnaires were obtained from the stuffs working at the construction sites excluding project managers. Internal consistency test using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted for the reliability and validity of the scales respectively. And cluster analysis and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were conducted to test the hypotheses. The results and implications are as follows. First, the leadership styles of project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction but not organizational commitment in construction project. Second, the power styles of project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, the leadership styles of the project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction and organizational commitment by the power moderating role. The implication of this result is important because of the fact that the transformational leadership can be useful even in the construction projects. And the moderating role of the project manage's power suggests.

Determinants of Paid-VOD Re-Purchasing Intention in IPTV Platform (IPTV 이용자의 유료 VOD 재구매 의도 결정 요인)

  • This paper investigated main determinants of paid-VOD user satisfaction and re-purchasing intention in IPTV platform. The findings showed that 'perceived system quality' was the significant antecedent variable influencing 'perceived usefulness' and 'perceived cost'. Meanwhile, 'perceived content quality' had the insignificant effect on 'perceived cost, while strongly and positively affecting 'perceived playfulness'. Regarding the relative size effect on the relationship between the belief variables and re-purchasing intention, content quality, cost, usefulness and playfulness were higher in the order, implying that functional benefits, like price and quality is the most crucial factor facilitating re-purchasing paid-VOD. Likewise, several variables associated with user characteristics and situation were employed as moderating variables to examine their impact on the process of formation of belief, satisfaction and intention. We found that there were distinct differences in value cognition and satisfaction level among users, depending on IPTV acceptance period, paid-VOD purchasing frequency, age and income level.

The Analytic Study of Adolescents' Status Offenses : Based on Juvenile Delinquency Theory (청소년 지위비행에 관한 분석적 연구 : 청소년 비행이론을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare with three juvenile delinquency theories on adolescents' status offenses including Hirschi's social bonding theory, Agnew's general strain theory, and Akers' social learning theory. The data derived from a sample of 2,337 middle school students taken from National Youth Policy Institute in 2011-2012. Multiple OLS regression analysis revealed that variables from social learning theory were strongly supported as an explanation for adolescents' status offenses, while variables from general strain theory were not supported. The social learning model explained 12.0% of the variance in adolescents' status offenses. However, general strain variables explained 2.6% of the variance in the dependant variable and 6.2% of the variance in adolescents' status offenses were explained by the social bonding variables. The present research made important contributions the further utilization of social learning in investigating many of the damaging forms of social deviance which exist in our society.
