The survey was undergone from Feb. 1, 2014 to Mar. 31 for 219 dental hygiene course juniors who had experienced clinical training in 3 year colleges located in Daejeon and Chungcheong Province. From the study, general and university hospital holds the highest satisfaction in clinical practice and dental offices in acquiring skills. Also, a significant difference is shown between the frequency and satisfaction according to clinical training sheets. The highest degree of stress is shown in dental offices for 'toothbrushing training and dental health education' and in general and university hospital for 'patient counselling'. Therefore, consideration should be made to establish the direction of education, standard criteria and evaluation method for student clinical training to raise its effectiveness.

  • This study aimed to explore the causal relationship between an infant-mother's job satisfaction, psychological features, parenting stress and marital conflict through structural equation modeling. Specifically, we tried to identify influences of an infant-mother's job satisfaction on parenting stress and marital conflict and demonstrated how psychological features (self-efficacy, self-esteem, and depression) were mediated by these influences by using a sample of 444 Korean infant-mothers with jobs from the 3rd year of Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey with AMOS 20.0. First, the results demonstrated that job satisfaction of an infant-mother positively related to their self-efficacy and self-esteem whereas negatively related to depression among psychological features. Furthermore, job satisfaction of an infant-mother showed negative relationships with parenting stress and marital conflict. Second, an infant-mother's job satisfaction did predict marital conflict, but not parenting stress. However, these job satisfactions were mediated by an infant-mother's psychological factors. Findings were discussed with regard to the relationship between an infant-mother's job satisfaction, parenting stress, and martial conflict in the family counseling implications.

Lastly, (3) Reducing of unbalanced eating habit was a partial mediator of the relationship between use of MSG and satisfaction with food-related life. It suggests that there is an association between use of MSG and satisfaction with food-related life, the positive effects of which may be mediated by expectancy of reducing unbalanced diet.

  • Purpose: This study was to develop and evaluate the clinical utility of the breast and ovarian cancer genetic counselling program specific for 20 Korean women(KBOCGP). Methods: The KBOCGP was developed using three types of approaches: an ethnography among Korean women who underwent BRCA1/2 test, designing and implementing one week clinical genetic educational course for clinical cancer nurses, educational observation visits to three American cancer genetic counselling programs. And then pre-experimental design was implicated to evaluate the change of the women's knowledge about the hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and the level of the satisfaction with genetic counselling. Results: The mean score of the knowledge has significantly increased from $7.45{\pm}3.86$ to $11.55{\pm}2.21$ (t = 5.63, p < .001). The level of the satisfaction with the counselling was very high ($27.47{\pm}1.35$). Because most of the subjects have young kids, they showed strong concerns about their kids' getting cancer. Conclusion: This new KBOCGP is the satisfactory program for the education and communication of the genetic information to the Korean women with HBOC. But it is needed more to strengthen the cultural sensitivity especially to Korean family relationships. Authors recommend that this program be provided by other nurses who are counselling women at high risk of breast cancer.
