Chungcheongbuk-do can be said that it is not developed well because its surface accounts for 7.5% of Korea's whole land surface, and it accounts for 3.1% of population and main economical index from those of whole Korea. However, Chungcheongbuk-do should develop itself more by integrating of Cheongju-si and Cheongwon-gun, transfer of government facilities to Sejong city, and dispersing manufacturing companies of Seoul Metropolitan area. The factor which affects Chungcheongbuk-do's regional specialized industries is the distance from Cheongju-si and Gyeonggi-do. Service industries are specialized in urban area; manufacturing industries are specialized in regions which are close to Cheongju-si or Gyeonggi-do; and primary industries and consumer service industries are specialized in areas that is far from Cheongju-si. This study can be a foundation for studies on regional and industrial change of Chungcheongbuk-do by looking at its population and location quotient.

Development of policy incentives and policy direction in the innovation economy is always important. Innovations policy have characterized industrial dynamics, leading to a transformation of the market structure of the specific industry. The paper explores the development of industry convergence for understanding the change of the wireless industry in Daejeon. Although its initial focus is R&D center, The business model has become the research and development of external demand than its own product research and development. For regional innovation, the wireless industry policy should be provided with their own product development pattern.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a design method to making characterized street for city regeneration and strategy for regional activation through making characterized street. For this purpose we analyze a case of 'Bosu-dong Book Street' in the city of Busan with compared to the cases of 'Hay on wye' in UK and 'Kanda old book street' in Japan. We have some suggestions from this analysis as follows; 1. Connection with tourism and publication industry is needed for regional economic vitality and urban regeneration. And Both of Softwares and Hardwares those are based on local identity are needed to be developed as contents of the street, 2. Merchants and Residents have to take the leading part and public authority is need to support them as street makers. 3. Sustainable participation and efforts of the community leaded by merchants and residents are needed in the whole process of making characterized street such as making, operating and management of hardware & software.

This study analyzed the competitiveness of major export industries following the FTA between Korea and five Central American countries. Findings revealed that Korea mainly exports industrial products such as ships, automobiles and parts, steel, and electronic devices, and it imports raw materials and agricultural products such as coffee and copper, indicating a complementary trade structure. Similarly, the trade specialization index analysis revealed that Korea specialized in exporting industrial products such as ships, automobiles, steel, and machinery, and in importing primary products such as copper and coffee. Products such as ships, steel, and machinery, which are major export items to Central America, are expected to further strengthen their competitiveness due to tariff cuts. In addition, it is expected that the demand for medicines and medical supplies could increase in future due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study attempted to present implications for establishing export strategies by analyzing the competitiveness of Korea's major export industries in the Central American market, in accordance with the Korean-Central American FTA. These findings could be used as basic data for future entry into South America as a bridgehead in the Central American market.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and industrial structure and to present a future vision through analysis of industrial agglomeration, growth, and industrial efficiency targeting the Chungnam display industry nurtured by regional industrial policies since 2002. The industrial scale and aggregate status were analyzed through the business scale quotient and location quotient, and the growth and pace of structural change in the industry were analyzed through the industrial growth rate and change of industrial structure. Analysis results found the display industry shows its solid status based on industrial agglomeration. The RLQ, added value ratio, and employment coefficient have a relatively high comparative advantage. However, the growth rate has declined, and the pace of structural change has become lower. The regional competitiveness has been deteriorating. It is necessary to develop strategies to help the industry evolve into a convergence display industry to secure competitiveness by forming value chains. The regional industrial policy 'Regional Innovation Growth Plan' should be utilized to foster local industries that consider the regional characteristics and development directions and to promote the shared growth of related subsidiary industries through fostering specialized complexes for materials, parts, and equipment.

This paper tests whether or not manufacturing specialization, employment growth, establishment size, employment size, industrial mix in manufacturing, regional difference between the Capital region and the others and so on are empirically related to manufacturing employment volatility levels across 203 municipalities called shi-gun-gu during the period 1990~2006. Using the spatial econometric analysis of cross sectional data, the municipalities tending to be more volatile are more specialized; they have higher-than-average employment growth rates, smaller establishment and employment sizes, regardless of any industrial mix in manufacturing; and they tend to be located in the Capital region. Unlike existing foreign literature based upon the spatial econometric analysis of cross sectional data, this paper finds that volatility of growth in a municipality is negatively rather than positively influenced by volatility of growth in its neighboring municipalities.

첨단 유도 무기 관련기술은 자주국방 실현의 필수적인 조건일 뿐만 아니라, 자동차, 선박, 항공기, 로봇 등의 분야에서 이용되는 핵심기술이며 고부가가치 기반기술이다. 따라서 본 센터의 연구성과는 무기체계의 기술수준을 세계적으로 향상시킴은 물론 제반 산업분야에 큰 파급효과를 가져올 것으로 믿는다. 자동제어특화연구센터는 국방부에서 추진중인 "방위력 개선사업"의 일환으로 대학의 고급기술 인력을 국방과학 기초연구에 활용하기 위하여 설립된 것으로 군에서 필요로 하는 자동제어 기술에 대한 기초연구의 중심적 역할을 수행하는 대학 연구센터로 발전하는 것이 최종 목표이다.

The Korean logistics industry has grown with the development of domestic industries. The industry plays an important role in national and regional economic growth, and the government has continued policy efforts to foster the industry. This study analyzes the competitiveness of the regional logistics industry and its contribution to the regional economy. Location coefficients are used to analyze local specialization in each logistics industry. The value-added rate, GDP contribution, value-added induction coefficient, and net value-added income of regional logistics industries are analyzed using a regional input-output table. As a result, the logistics industry is found to have net value-added income and competitiveness in some regions, and there is no relationship between the location coefficient and the value-added contribution of the regional logistics industry. Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Busan, and Jeju have the competitiveness of each logistics industry. In addition, we identified the regions where the logistics infrastructure is well developed and those in which it needs to be supported. The regions where the logistics industry has developed require policies for making high value-added by logistics activity, and regions with insufficient growth need to support the development of the logistics industry by investing human resources and capital that can meet the local demand.

최근 인공지능과 데이터 과학이 거의 모든 산업분야에서 많은 변화를 불러오고 있으며, 이를 지원하는 많은 라이브러리와 도구들이 이에 도움을 주고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 실제 인공지능과 데이터 과학 기술을 실제 산업 분야에 적용하려면 많은 어려움이 있는 것이 사실이고 이는 해양 분야에서 더욱 두드러진다. 이에 해양안전 및 기업지원을 목표로 개발 중인 오픈플랫폼은 일반적인 인공지능 및 데이터 과학을 위한 시스템과 달리 여러 가지 해양특화 모듈들로 구성된다. 그리고 이러한 해양특화 기능들이 해양안전 분야의 기업들에 기여할 수 있도록 해양특화 데이터와 인공지능 모델 등을 상호간 공유하고 의견을 나눌 수 있는 공간으로 개발해 나갈 계획이다.

This study analyzes the economic impact of the shipping and port logistics industry in Gwangyang Bay Area on the regional economy. For this purpose, the study constructs an input-output table of 29 sectors for 2010 in the area. The main findings are as follows. In terms of production, value added, and share of employment, the regional shipping and port logistics industry accounts for approximately 10.8 percent, 6.0 percent, and 2.9 percent of the national shipping and port logistics industry, respectively. Moreover, the economic impact of the industry on the regional economy is estimated to be an increase in terms of production of about 6 trillion Korean won), to be an increase in value added of about 2.5 million Korean won, and an increase of about 16,000 in employment. Furthermore, the industry is found to have strong inter-industry linkages with the main manufacturing as well as the main producer service industries.
