  • At the present day, devices for measurement and control of data by wireless based computer have been generalized. The devices with low cost and high performance have been spotlighted. If Zigbee communication solution is used in dangerous places and places that can not in use wire communication, computer can process data without limitation. Zigbee communication solution is effective in power consumption as compared with RF or bluetooth and can use battery. System cost of Zigbee also is very low, so can install lots of nodes. The system made in this paper transmit by wireless many LMCs(Laser Measuring Control) of wireless transmission system for distance measurement and many slave Zigbee to a master Zigbee.

Study on Teaching and Learning Methods of Embedded Application Software Using Elevator Simulator (엘리베이터 시뮬레이터를 활용한 임베디드 어플리케이션 소프트웨어 교수학습방법 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a design and development method of an elevator simulator that can be used as an embedded application layer software learning tool and a teaching and learning method using it. The simulator provides students with an environment to implement the operating principle and control method of the elevator system in the application layer excluding the issues of hardware and embedded OS layer. This allows students to have a reactive and real-time embedded application development experience. In addition, we present a four-week embedded application software training course with hands-on exercises that add step-by-step functionality using a simulator. As a result of training for actual students, we obtained 83.3 points of learning achievement score and proved that the curriculum has a significant effect on embedded application learning.

  • The explosion of data due to the improvement of sensor technology and computing performance has become the basis for analyzing the situation in the industrial fields, and various attempts to detect events based on such data are increasing recently. In particular, sound signals collected from sensors are used as important information to classify events in various application fields as an advantage of efficiently collecting field information at a relatively low cost. However, the performance of sound-event classification in the field cannot be guaranteed if noise can not be removed. That is, in order to implement a system that can be practically applied, robust performance should be guaranteed even in various noise conditions. In this study, we propose a system that can classify the sound event after generating the enhanced sound signal based on the deep learning algorithm. Especially, to remove noise from the sound signal itself, the enhanced sound data against the noise is generated using SEGAN applied to the GAN with a VAE technique. Then, an end-to-end based sound-event classification system is designed to classify the sound events using the enhanced sound signal as input data of CNN structure without a data conversion process. The performance of the proposed method was verified experimentally using sound data obtained from the industrial field, and the f1 score of 99.29% (railway industry) and 97.80% (livestock industry) was confirmed.

  • DCS (Distributed Control System), the main control system of power plants, is an automated system for enhancing operational efficiency by monitoring, tuning and real-time operation. DCS is becoming more intelligent and open systems as Information technology are evolving. In addition, there are a large amount of investment to enable proactive facility management, maintenance and risk management through the predictive diagnostics. However, new upcoming weaponized malware, such as Stuxnet designed for disrupting industrial control system(ICS), become new threat to the main control system of the power plant. Even though these systems are not connected with any other outside network. The main control systems used in the power plant usually have been used for more than 10 years. Also, this system requires the extremely high availability (rapid recovery and low failure frequency). Therefore, installing updates including security patches is not easy. Even more, in some cases, installing security updates can break the warranty by the vendor's policy. If DCS is exposed a potential vulnerability, serious concerns are to be expected. In this paper, we conduct the penetration test by using NESSUS, a general-purpose vulnerability scanner under the simulated environment configured with the Ovation version 1.5. From this result, we suggest a log analysis method to detect the security infringement and react the incident effectively.

  • IMO (International Maritime Organization) has been strengthening the regulations of ship emission gas such as sulfur oxides (SOX), nitrogen oxides (NOX) and carbon dioxides (CO2) to protect the marine environment. Especially, ECA (Emission Control Area) has been set and operated in the USA and US. As a countermeasure against these environmental regulations, the demand for environmentally, friendly and highly efficient vessels has led to a growing interest in technology related research with respect to electric propulsion systems capable of reducing exhaust gas. Container ships were excluded from the application coverage of the electric propulsion systems for reasons of operation at economical speed. However, in the future, the need for electric propulsion system is expected to rise, because it is easy to monitor and control so that it can be an applicate to smart ship which are represented by fourth industrial revolution technology. In this study, research was carried out to design a generator and battery capacity through the load analysis of the 6,800TEU container ship to apply the electric propulsion system of the container ship. A capacity design based on the load analysis has an advantage that the generator can be operated in a high efficiency section through the load distribution control using the battery.

  • 3D stereoscopic cinema emerged as a new dominant media format. In principle, the stereoscopic cinema imitate the vision of the human being has two eyes. The stereoscopic cinema is filmed with 2 connected cameras at the same time and projected these 2 different images. With the stereoscopic glasses, the human being can see the overlapped images as a single 3D stereoscopic image. To make 3D stereoscopic cinema, it is very important to systemize the process of the 3D stereoscopic cinema production and to use the principle of the 3D stereoscopic cinema. This paper investigates the possibilities of the using the 3D stereoscopic principles such as the I.O.D, convergence point, parallax and the 3D comfort zone. Using the principle of the 3D stereoscopic cinema can be the technique of directing the film. Using the example of 3D stereoscopic short film My Birthday, I investigate the main technique of the 3D stereoscopic cinema.

초고속 자기부상형 터보복합분자 펌프 기술 개발

  • 복합분자펌프는 기존의 터보분자펌프 turbine blade에 spiral grooved를 추가하여 초고진공(10-8Pa)에서 저진공(330Pa)까지 넓은 압력범위에서 사용할 수 있고 이 펌프를 사용함으로서 완전 oil free한 진공시스템을 만들 수 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 특히, 회전체를 비접촉으로 지지하는 자기베어링 방식을 적용함으로써, 진동은 극히 작고 베어링수명은 길면서 중저진공에 대한 배기속도가 크고 임의의 방향으로 접속이 가능하여 반도체 및 디스플레이 제조 공정과 같은 첨단산업의 다양한 분야에 쉽게 적용되고 있으며, 그 적용 분야와 시장은 계속 성장하고 있다. 고 진공과 배기 속도의 달성을 위해서, 고속으로 이동하는 격면과 기체분자를 충돌시켜, 기체 분자를 원하는 방향으로 유도하는 작동원리를 가지고 있다. 특히 공기분자의 밀도가 매우 낮은 희박가스 상태에서 고속 회전하는 blade로 공기분자를 쳐내면서 작동됨으로써 날개의 상하 압력차에 의한 공기력보다도 날개의 고속회전이 매우 중요시되고 압력으로는 10-1 Pa 이하의 분자영역에서 그 성능을 최고로 발휘할 수 있다. 이러한 복합 펌프의 주요 장점은 다음과 같다. 1. 10-8 Pa (10-10 torr) ~ 10 Pa (1 torr) 까지 넓은 영역에서 배기가 가능하다. 2. 탄화수계의 대하여 높은 압축특성을 가지고 있고, 윤활유를 사용하지 않으므로 얻을 수 있는 진공상태가 고청정하다(oil free). 3. 정밀 5축제어 자기베어링으로 완전히 부상하여 회전함으로서 마모가 없고 진동이 최소화하였을 뿐 만 아니라, 또한 운전음도 거의 없다. 4. 설치조건에 제한이 없고 고장이 거의 없다. 특히 복합분자펌프는 탄화수소화합물이 없는 진공을 생성시키면서 구성요소가 간단한 반면 폭넓은 진공대역을 충족하기 때문에 산업계와 연구계의 주요 첨단 분야에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있으며, 최근 반도체 및 디스플레이, 바이오엔지니어링 등의 발전으로 적용분야가 넓어지고 있다.

  • The train-centric control systems development has some distinct points in that a big size of government budget is in general expended in there and the development duration seems to be long. In addition, the changes are ever made continuously in the capability and operational requirements for Trains. Thus, the impact of the potential changes in the required operational capability on the development activities can induce some type of project risks [7]. As such, proper management of project risk has been one of crucial subjects in the train systems development. All these notes combined together make it the significance of the safety management process be raised further up in the train-centric control systems development. As such, the underlying safety management process should be capable of appropriately handling the potential risks that can be created due to the unexpected changes and the long-term development period. The process should also be complemented for the safety consideration of train-centric control systems, for instance, stop. To study these aspect is the objective of the paper. To do so, a step-by-step approach to analyzing the safety management process is first presented. Then, to enhance the process some necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. Then, to pursue some enhancement on the process, a set of necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. The resultant process is further analyzed and tailored using a design structure matrix method. The resultant process is applied in a train-centric control development as a case study.

A Study on the Development of a Duct-dedicated Intelligent Fire Detection System (덕트전용 지능형 화재감지시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This research was done to develop a duct-dedicated intelligent fire detection system to prevent fires and minimize fire damage of the industrial duct having a high fire risk. To understand the fire hazards of the ducts, the analysis was centered on the Daegu Textile Industrial Complex, where industrial ducts are used frequently. With this in the background, dedicated fire detectors and fire alarm control panel, which can prevent fires and to minimize fire damages to the ducts, were designed and produced, after which the performance was confirmed. As a result of performance experiments, it was shown that a duct-dedicated intelligent fire detection system had excellent adaptability and temperature accuracy. Through real-time temperature monitoring of the inside of the ducts, it was confirmed that duct fires could be efficiently extinguished by stepwise control of linkage facilities according to the setting temperature.
