Estimation scatterer spacing with spectral response (주파수 응답특성을 이용한 산란체 간격 추정)

  • 음향수조 내에 일정한 간격으로 배열된 단순 모양의 산란체들로부터 획득된 후방산란 신호를 분석하여 산란체 간격(scatterer spacing)을 추측 할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 수신신호의 산란특성을 켑스트럼 피크(cepstral peaks)를 이용하여 산란체 간격으로 해석하였다. 임펄스 응답신호를 이용한 수치계산으로 산란체 간격 추정방법을 검증한 후, 수조 실험으로 획득한 후방 산란 신호에 적용해 그 결과를 비교해 보았다.

Influence of Water Temperature on Spawning of Chinese Bleak, Aphyocypris chinensis (왜몰개 (Aphyocypris chinensis)의 산란에 미치는 수온의 영향)

  • Studies were conducted to determine the effects of water temperature on the number of spawning, egg production, spawning intervals and hatching success of Chinese bleak, Aphyocypris chinensis. Adult fish were exposed to water temperatures of 19, 22, 25 and $28{\circ}^C$ for two months in the laboratory. The spawning number, egg productivity, and hatching rate increased as water temperature increased between $19{\circ}^C$ and $25{\circ}^C$. Maximum egg production and hatching rate occurred at $25{\circ}^C$, whereas the spawning intervals decreased as water temperature increased except for the treatment of $28{\circ}^C$. The shortest spawning interval observed at $25{\circ}^C$.

  • The super mealworm, Zophobas morio, is mainly used as food for pets, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and as snacks. An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of temperature, supplementary feeding, and spawning interval on super mealworm rearing. To efficiently rear this species, the insects were bred at a temperature of $27^{\circ}C$ or higher and reached a weight of over 0.6 g at 80 days after hatching. Supplementary feed (with high protein content: 10% of soybean meal and 10% of fish meal) enabled larvae to reach a weight of over 0.7 g at 80 days after hatching. Mass rearing of super mealworm requires increase in egg production (i.e., high yield) and uniformity of larvae. Adults were transferred to spawning bases every 5, 10, or 15 days (three treatments), which resulted in a total of 7,256, 5,439, 2,060 hatched larvae, respectively. It is possible to obtain more than 7,000 larvae by transferring the egg-laying frame to the spawning base at intervals of 5 days and with nine spawning operations; this procedure generates larvae weighing over 0.68 g each.

  • We have detected the resonant stimulated Raman scattering signal when the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser beam are incident on the $35~62{\mu}m$ sized water droplet as pump beam. The signals appeared as uniformly spaced peaks and the intervals between peaks become narrow as the droplet size increases. Also we have confirmed the morphology dependent resonances (MDR's) characteristic of the stimulated Raman scattering signal when the water droplet becomes nearly spherical shape after two water droplets are coupled to a droplet. The error in the measured intervals between MDR's of same mode order is about 5%.out 5%.

A Study on Optimum Insemination Interval in Aged Egg-Type Fowl (산란노계의 인공수정에 있어서 적정주정간격에 관한 연구)

  • Present study was carried out to find out an optimum interval for artificial insemination in aged and poor laying hens, Brown colored, hundred and twenty commercial laying hens at about 530 days old and 20 S. C. W. Leghorn males at 580 days old were adopted Egg production rate during the experiment was 61.6% and number of eggs examined was 2,283. The intervals for the insemination were 2, 4 and 6 days for experimental groups T-1, T-2 and T-3, respectively. Eggs were collected on every 6th day and examined for fertility by candling after 5 days of incubation. Average fertility rates for T-1, T-2 and T-3 groups appeared 87.5, 81.1, and 65.1%, respectively. The fertility of T-3 group was significantly lower than those of T-1 and T-2 groups(P<0.05). The highest fertility rate was obtained on the second day after the insemination for all groups, i. e. 90.7, 84.0 and 71.7% for T-1, T-2 and T-3, respectively. Thereafter, a tendency of gradual decline in fertility was observed. This study suggests that the optimum interval for artificial insemination in aged hens is 2 days. The fertility tended to be improved by repeated injection. For the 2-day interval group, the highest rate (98.2%) was obtained on the 6th insemination.

  • The input parameters of scattering models for computing the backscattering coefficients of earth terrains are mainly soil moisture and surface roughness. The backscattering coefficients of soil surfaces are more sensitive to surface roughness than soil moisture. In this study, we propose a precise measurement method for roughness parameters and analyze measurement errors. We measured surface roughness using a pin-board profiler(1 m, 0.5 cm interval) and a laser profiler(1 m, 0.25 cm interval). The measurement differences between two profilers in an average sense are 0.097 cm for root-mean-square (RMS) height and 1.828 cm for correlation length. The analysis of the correlation functions and relative errors shows that the laser measurements are more stable than the pin-board measurements. The differences of the calculated backscattering coefficients using a surface scattering model between pin-board and laser profiler measurements are less than 1 dB.

  • 광시스템에서 발생할 수 있는 비선형 현상 중 하나인 유도 브릴루앙 산란은 낮은 입력 파워 레벨에서도 발생할 수 있기 때문에 광전송 시스템에 큰 영향을 주는 현상이다. 그러므로 고출력의 신호를 광섬유에 입사시켜 광전송 시스템의 전송 거리를 길게 하기 위해서는 광섬유에서 발생하는 유도 브릴루앙 산란에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 특히 현재 광통신에 사용되고 있는 파장 분할 다중방식(WDM) 광전송 시스템에서는 채널 간격이 좁으므로 유도 브릴루앙 산란의 영향을 고려해야만 한다. 브릴루앙 이득 스펙트럼은 브릴루앙 주파수 천이, 부릴루앙 선폭과 이득계수에 대한 정보뿐만 아니라 브릴루앙 임계값에 대한 정보를 포함한다. 이러한 유도 브릴루앙 산란 신호를 1550nm 파장대에서 실험적으로 확인하였으며 실험으로 관측한 SBS 신호를 이론적으로 계산된 값과 비교하였다. 실험으로 구한 신호 주파수는 10.8825GHz로서 이론상의 값 10.9GHz와 일치하였으며 브릴루앙 이득 스펙트럼을 측정한 결과 1.5436 $\times$ $10^{-ll}$m/w의 브릴루앙 이득 계수 $g_{0}$을 얻었다.다.

  • 어군의 밀도를 음파로 추정할 때 어군의 총후방 산란 단면적이 어류개체의 후방 산란 단면적을 random phase로 합한 것과 같다는 가정에 대하여 실험적 검증을 시도하였다. 어체의 길이 대 음파의 파장비가 23일 때 두 마리와 세 마리의 숭어에 대하여 실시한 실험에서 전 산란각에 대한 편균이 random phase로 합할 때 보다 -1.7dB와 +1dB씩 편차를 보였다. 그러나 전체적으로는 in phase와 out phase sum 사이에서 변화함을 보였고, 최대오차는 in phase로 합해질 때로서 실제의 어군밀도 n에 비 해 최고 n\sup 2\에 이르기까지 추정 가능함을 실험결과는 보여주고 있다. 더욱이 이러한 결과는 어체간 의 간격변화에는 거의 무관하였으므로 소나무 빔폭이나 어군의 분포에 상관없이 빔폭 사이에 있는 어군 의 마리수에만 퐁후방 산란 단면적이 관계된다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Backscattered x-ray imaging is a technology capable of acquiring an image inside an irradiated object by measuring X-rays scattered from an object. For image acquisition, the system must include an X-ray generator and a detection system for measuring scattered x-rays. The imaging device must acquire a real-time signal at sampling intervals for x-rays generated by passing through a high-speed rotating collimator, and for this purpose, a high-speed signal acquisition device is required. We developed a high-speed multi-channel signal acquisition device for converting and transmitting signals generated by the sensor unit composed of a large-area plastic scintillator and a photomultiplier tube. The developed detector is a system capable of acquiring signals at intervals of at least 15u seconds and converting and transmitting signals of up to 6 channels. And a system includes remote control functions such as high voltage, signal gain, and low level discrimination for individual calibration of each sensor. Currently, we are conducting an application test for image acquisition under various conditions.

High Frequency Scattering from Cylindrical Scatterer (원통형 산란체의 고주파 산란 특성)

  • This paper presents the changes of acoustic scattering pattern from a single cylinder and two identical cylinders in both theoretical calculations and experimental measurements. Bi-static scattering pattern by single cylinder and two parallel cylinders (length 2m, radius 30mm) was measured in $5m\times5m\times5m$ water tank using high frequency projector (120 kHz) and hydrophone. The results show similar agreement between experiment and theory. In case of single cylinder scattering. omni-directional pattern was observed in backward but there are fluctuations or target strength in forward. Interference between each cylinder's scattering fields produce fluctuations of target strength in all directions of two cylinders.
