Development and Application of Instruction Program using 3D Sketching Software for 'Planning for Residential Space' Unit of NCS-based on Interior Design Subject (NCS 실내디자인 과목의 '주거공간 계획하기' 단원에서 3차원 스케치 소프트웨어를 활용한 수업 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과)

  • In recent years, space planning ability using 3D sketch software is required in the working field of interior design. However, vocational high school do not respond appropriately to changes in the industry, because the class of vocational high school consists of hands-on practical classes and 2D CAD based classes. There is a shortage of 3D sketch software-based instruction programs that can improve students' spatial planning skills. Therefore, this study is to develop instruction program using 3D sketch software for 'Planning for Residential Space' unit of NCS-based on interior design subject and to find out the effect on students' academic achievement by applying to vocational high school class. The 3d sketch software based instructional program developed in this study was developed through four stages of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation according to the PDIE model process. The experimental design model used nonequivalent group posttest-only design in this study. Experiments were conducted on vocational high school students in construction and 9 hours of interior design subjects were applied. After the experiments, students were tested for academic achievement in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas. As a result, the instruction program using the 3d sketch program developed in this study was found to be more effective in improving students' academic achievement than existing manual instruction program in both cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas.

Effect of Emotional Incongruence in Negative Emotional Valence & Cross-modality (교차 양상과 부정 정서에서의 정서 불일치 효과에 따른 기억의 차이)

  • In the current study, it is suggested that when two emotions are presented through cross-modality, such as auditory and visual, incongruence will influence arousal, recognition, and recall of subjects. The first hypothesis is that incongruent cross-modality does not only increase arousal more than the congruent, but it also increases recall and recognition more than congruent. The second hypothesis is that arousal modulates recall and recognition of subjects. To demonstrate the two hypotheses, our experiment's conditions were manipulated to be congruent and incongruent by presenting positive or negative emotions, visually and acoustically. For dependent variables, we measured recall rate and recognition rates. and arousal was measured by PAD (pleasure-arousal-dominance) scales. After eight days, only recognition was measured repeatedly online. As a result, our behavioral experiment showed that there was a significant difference between arousal before watching a movie clip and after (p<.001), but no difference between the congruent condition and incongruent condition. Also, there was no significant difference between recognition performance in the congruent condition and incongruent condition, but there was a main effect of the clips' emotions. Interestingly after analyzing recognition rates separately depending on clips' emotions, there was a significant difference between congruent and incongruent conditions in the only negative clip (p= .044), not in the positive clip. In a detailed result, recognition in the incongruent condition is more than in the congruent condition. Furthermore, in the case of recall performance, there was a significant interaction between the clips' emotions shown in the clips and congruent conditions (p=.039). Through these results, the effect of incongruence with negative emotion was demonstrated, but an incongruent effect by arousal could not be demonstrated. In conclusion, in our study, we tried to determine the impact of one method to convey a story dramatically and have an effect on memory. These effects are influenced by the subjects' perceived emotions (valence and arousal).

  • The purpose of this study was to find the effects of the science camp program on Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes for the Scientific Gifted Students. For this purpose, this research developed the science camp program. This program was totally consisted 30 lessens. there was 2 part in this program. It contained Astronomic Space Science(14 class), Aerospace Science(16 class). To find the effects of the science camp program on Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes for the Scientific Gifted Students. 20 participants was selected. these students were attended at a scientific gifted class(5th grade) of an elementary school located in Ulsan. First, Science Process Skills was used to find the effect of the science camp program And the results were analyzed by SPSSWIN 18.0. The results of this study were as follows. the science camp program was a positive effects on Science Process Skills of the Scientific Gifted Students(t=8.649, p=.000). Second, the science camp program was a positive effects on Scientific Attitudes of the Scientific Gifted Students(t=3.431, p=.003). According to this research, the science camp program on Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitudes for the Scientific Gifted Students. It will be contribute on the curriculum construction of the gifted school or gifted class.

The Effect of HIV/AIDS Education Program for Professional Graduate Medical School Students by Teaching-Learning Methods (교수학습방법에 따른 의학전문대학원생의 HIV/AIDS 교육프로그램 효과)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of an HIV/AIDS education program for professional graduate medical school students using a teaching-learning methods. Methods: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest experiment. A total of 116 professional graduate medical school students in South Korea were included. They were randomly assigned to either a discussion-centered teaching-learning method group (n=60) or a lecture-centered teaching-learning method group (n=56). Data were collected between August and December 2015 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, one-tailed independent t-test, one-tailed Mann-Whitney U-test, one-tailed Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and one-tailed paired t-test using SPSS WIN 19.0 program. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups with respect to HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes, and education satisfaction. However, the scores of knowledge and attitudes were statistically significantly increased after the education than before the education in both groups. Conclusion: To effectively improve the knowledge and attitude of HIV/AIDS, it is necessary to select an appropriate teaching-learning method for the target subjects and objectives of HIV/AIDS education.

The Effects of Simulation-Based Practice on Critical Thinking Disposition, Communication Skill, and Clinical Performance for Nursing Students (시뮬레이션 기반 실습 교육이 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향, 의사소통능력, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a simulation-based practice that enhances the core competencies of nursing students and to investigate the effects on critical thinking disposition, communication skill, and clinical performance for nursing students. This study used a one group, pre-post test design. There were 53 nursing students from G city enrolled in this study, and self-reported questionnaires were collected between June 10 and August 19, 2016. The simulation-based practice was applied for 6-8 hours/day for 60 hours, using a 4-practice module. The data were analyzed by frequencies, paired t-test, and Pearson's correlation using SPSS Win 18.0. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the clinical performance, however, there was no significant difference in the critical thinking disposition and communication skill. After the simulation-based practice, clinical performance was found to be positively correlated with critical thinking disposition (r= .628, p<.001) and communication (r=.716, p<.001). Critical thinking disposition and communication (r=.650, p<.001) also showed a positive correlation. In order to improve clinical competence, it is necessary to develop a simulation-based practice that enhances critical thinking disposition and communication skill.

The Effects of Cooperative Art Activities through Forest Experience on Young Children's Leadership and Happiness Fullness (숲 체험 협동미술활동이 유아의 리더십과 행복충만감에 미치는 효과)

  • This study examined the effects of cooperative art activities according to visiting a forest on fulfilling young children's leadership ability and happiness. To achieve this, a study was conducted on experimental and non-experimental groups of 20 young children in classes A and B at S kindergarten, and also a group of children of the same age in a similar environment. The 16-session forest experience play activity program was planned for conducting research on the children's leadership ability and happiness fullness when using the Nuri curriculum, and this was carried out on the experimental group for 2 months. The pre- and post-analyses were carried out on the non-experimental group after outdoor activities on the topic of the Nuri curriculum-related activities. The results were as follows. First, cooperative art activities through the forest experience had a positive effect on the children's reinvention ability, human relations, goal achievement and direction power, which are all sub-factors of their leadership. Second, cooperative art activities through the forest experience had a positive effect on positive emotions, commitment, personal relations, meaning and achievement, which are sub-factors of their total happiness. Overall, their cooperative art activities during the forest experience were judged to be facilitating factors that have a positive effect on their leadership and happiness fullness.

The Effects of Adlerian Encouragement Program on the Interpersonal Satisfaction, Self-efficacy and Self-esteem among Elementary School Students (아들러 심리학에 기반한 격려 프로그램이 초등학생의 대인관계 만족도, 자기효능감, 자아존중감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Adlerian Encouragement Program on the interpersonal satisfaction, self-efficacy and self-esteem among elementary school students. The program was consisted of 8 sessions: 1st session was for introducing programs and making positive nicknames, 2nd~5th sessions were for abandoning inferiority and discouraged thoughts, displaying posters of success experiences, creating merit trees, 6th~7th sessions were for self-encouragement and other people encouragement, 8th session was for closing the program. Subjects were 40 students who were the fifth grader students at I elementary school in G city. The subjects were divided into an experimental group(N=21) and a control group(N=19). All participants were asked to complete the Interpersonal Satisfaction scale(Kim, 2010), Self-efficacy scale(Han, 2003) and Self-esteem scale(Choi & Jeon, 1993). The pretest and post-test were taken in order to verify the effectiveness of the program. The data were analyzed with ANCOVA. The results are as follows: the Adlerian Encouragement Program had a significant impact on interpersonal satisfaction and self-esteem but didn't show a significant impact on self-efficacy. The study confirmed that the Adlerian Encouragement Program had a significant effect on interpersonal satisfaction and self-esteem of elementary school students, suggesting the encouragement, a key technique in Adlerian psychology, is an important educational philosophy and method for healthy development and democratic class management.

Analysis of Creative Personality and Intrinsic Motivation of Information Gifted Students Applying Curriculum Based on Computing Thinking (컴퓨팅사고력을 고려한 교육과정을 적용한 정보영재들의 창의적 성격과 내적동기 분석)

  • Fostering science-gifted individuals are very important for the future of the nation, and it is especially important to cultivate information-gifted individuals in the age of the fourth industry. There is no standardized curriculum for each gifted education center of the University. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed how effective the curriculum developed on the basis of computing thinking is to affect the characteristics of the information-gifted individuals. The curriculum developed on the components of computing thinking was applied to the information-gifted students of K University. In order to verify the effectiveness of the curriculum, we developed a creative personality test and an intrinsic motivation test, and conducted tests before and after the training. We compared pre-post test results by t-test with R program. The creative personality test consisted of 36 items with 6 factors: risk-taking, self - acceptance, curiosity, humor, dominance, and autonomy. The intrinsic motivation test consisted of 20 items with 5 items: curiosity and interest oriented tendency, challenging learning task preference orientation, independent judgment dependency propensity, independent mastery propensity, and internal criterion propensity. The effect of the curriculum on the creative personality of the experimental group was significant (0.009, 0.05). The significance level of the intrinsic motivation was 0.056 and was not significant at the 0.05 level of significance.

Effects of Well-dying Program on the Death Anxiety, Perception of Good Death, and Readiness for Death - Comparison of Aged and College students (웰다잉(well-dying) 프로그램이 죽음불안, 좋은 죽음에 대한 인식, 죽음준비도에 미치는 효과 -노인과 대학생의 비교)

  • This study, two-group pretest-posttest design was to provide the well-dying program for aged and college students and to determine the effects on death anxiety, perception of good death, and readiness for death. The subjects were 14 aged and 9 college students by providing a 12 hour well-dying program, verified its effectiveness. Data collection was from October 1 to December 31, 2018 and were analyzed using IBM SPSS 24.0. To verify the normality of the research variable in two groups, Shapiro-Wilk was used. Tested by Fisher's exact probability test, independent sample t-test, and Mann-Whitney test to verify the homogeneity of general characteristics of the subjects. Repeated Measure ANOVA, Friedman test to verify the continuity of the program effects on two group respectively. Results, death anxiety and perception of good death among the aged and college students showed no significant interaction between time and group, but there was a significant difference according to time((p<.030). Readiness for death was significant interaction between time and group((p=.030), a significant difference between the groups(p=.003). The well-dying program of this study is helps raise the death anxiety and perception of good death of the subject, especially the program which helps the readiness for death of the aged.

The Effects of Group Cooking Program on Executive Function of the Non-disabled Children in Community Children's Center (집단 요리활동 프로그램이 지역아동센터 비장애 아동의 실행기능에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective : This study was conducted to investigate the effects of occupation-based group cooking program on executive function for children in community children's center. Methods : The children who participated in the study were 7 to 9 years old. This study was based on a one-group pre-posttest design, which the group cooking program included making of sandwiches, frog-shaped hamburgers, patbingsu, sausage gimbap, and flowerpot cupcake. This study consisted of five activity sessions, which each session lasted for 120 minutes. Effectiveness of the program was measured by using the STROOP Color and Word Test, Children's Color Trails Test and Assessment of Motor and Process Skills. Results : The differences between pre and posttest scores on STROOP Color and Word Test and the process skill score of Assessment of Motor and Process Skills were statistically significant. There was no difference significantly between pre and posttest scores in Children's Color Trails Test-2. Conclusion : This study demonstrated that the group cooking program intervention has effects on cognitive inhibition executive function and performance executive function of children in the community children's center. This study suggests that occupation-based intervention can be applied to various clients in the community setting.
