  • This study investigated the mate selection preferences of single female teachers by investigating the desired traits in socioeconomic, physical attractions, psychological traits and family roles of their prospected marital partner, in order to explore the current trends in homogamous marriage. A questionnaire was distributed to 295 unmarried female teachers selected by convenience sampling from the various cities. The teachers pursued homogeneity in age, educational attainment, religion, and occupation while they preferred partners with higher income level. In terms of physical assets, the attraction that the teachers felt towards the partner was the most important physical appearances. The respondents preferred partners who are masculine and an androgynous partner. The teachers held high expectations towards their future spouses in that they desired to share the roles of emotional, financial support, child care and kin keeping. A partner who shared modern sex role attitudes was preferred over someone who held traditional one. The pursuit for overall homogeneity reflects that the teachers seek for equality in their relationships with prospected marital partners by exchanging similar characteristic.

  • The COVID-19 Pandemic incident forced all educational and learning activities to move online, so it is no longer an option to use information and communication technology for education and learning. Venture capital has made the largest investment ever in Edu-tech startups. This study investigates the factors influencing the intention to use digital technology in education, taking into account the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) along with digital literacy, which has become an essential ability in the digital age. As a result of the structural equation model analysis, we find that performance expectation, effort expectation, and social influence have a positive effect on the intention to use digital technology in education. Moreover, digital literacy has a positive effect on performance expectation, effort expectation, and social impact, but the direct effect on the intention to use digital technology on learning is not significant. Furthermore, to see the moderating effect of age, the results of multi-group analysis present that the differences between 10s and 60s, between 20s and 60s, between 30s and 60s on the path of social influence on the intention to use digital technology in education are significantly reduced. This study academically contributes to expanding the research on the factors affecting the intention to use digital technology in a specific situation of education by considering both digital literacy and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). In addition, it can be used as a practical guide to the factors to be considered for each age when making learning participants more actively use digital technology.

  • This study involved elementary schoolchildren in Busan Metropolitan city and assumed the foundation of social cooperative associations that provide education services for meteorological fields, then we analyzed expected profits in a year for successful operation of first year. Twelve variables relating to profits and expenses were derived, and we used the decision tree for analyzing optimal expected profits. Profit-related variables were lecture's fee per hour and price of textbooks. Expense-related variables were production costs for the textbooks, annual salary for a teacher, education costs for a teacher, developing costs for the textbooks, traveling expenses, rental fees, and operating costs. Besides, by adding education demands, the number of grades, and the number of teachers, we analyzed changes in expected profits, considering variability of profits and expenses. As a result, despite of expected lower demands, to increase price of textbooks and education costs per hour was of advantage to enhance expected profits. The reason is that the more demand, the more increased production costs for textbooks, which is because not to make enough profits to offset the increased expenses due to lowered price of textbooks and education costs. Considering the value of public interest for social cooperative associations, price determination only concerning increase in demands will be avoided.

First, innovativeness was found to have a positive effect on performance expectations. Second, innovativeness was found to have a positive impact on the effort expectation. Third, performance expectation had a positive effect on the intention to use continuously. Fourth, it was shown that the effort expectation had a positive effect on the intention to use continuously. Fifth, social influence was found to have no significant effect on the intention to use continuously. Sixth, it was found that the facilitating conditions did not significantly affect the intention to use continuously. The above results can be assessed as the higher the OTT users perceive the performance and effort expectations of the curation service, the higher their intention to continue using them. This study is meaningful in that it verified the factors affecting the intention to use the OTT curation service and expanded the UTAUT model.

  • With the progress of the 4th industrial revolution, interest in smart factories is increasing. The government is implementing a smart factory support project for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. Therefore, in this study, factors influencing small and medium-sized enterprises(SME's) intention of smart factory acceptance were analyzed. In particular, it focused on how the perception of government support affects intention of smart factory acceptance. For the empirical analysis, a research model was established by reflecting the characteristics of SMEs and the technical factors of the smart factory centering on the technology acceptance theory. Based on the model set in this way, a questionnaire survey was conducted for employees of SMEs. In this study, a total of 231 samples of valid data were used for analysis. The empirical analysis results are as follows. It was analyzed that performance expectancy, social influence, technology utilization capability, CEO will, and employee resistance to innovation, all introduced as research variables, had a significant effect on the use intention of smart factory acceptance. In particular, it was found that employees' resistance to innovation had a negative (-) effect on their use intention. Meanwhile, to analyze the moderating effect of government support, it was divided into a group with high expectations for government support and a group with low expectations. As a result, it was found that there was a difference in the effect of CEO's will, employees' resistance to innovation, and social influence on the use intention. On the other hand, no significant difference was found in the relationship between performance expectancy, technology utilization capability on the use intention.
