Social TV User's Object Relations Theory Factors Effects of Interaction and Viewing Satisfaction on Psychological Well-being (소셜TV 이용자의 대상관계요인이 상호작용성과 시청만족을 통해 심리적안녕감에 미치는 영향)

  • Social TV users and content are increasing day by day. The main purpose was to study the motivation for social television users, but I felt the need to analyze the potential psychological impact of users in various content. This study analyzed the impact on psychological well-being due to the interaction and viewing satisfaction by the object relations theory factors of social TV user in Korea. A survey was conducted on students of N university, ordinary university, and ordinary people who have experience using social TV to prove the observations or experiments of empirical facts in this study. Research result, First, Nonalienation have been have a positive effect on interaction and viewing satisfaction. Second, stable attachment have been have a positive effect on interaction. Third, social competence have been have a positive effect on interaction. Fourth, interaction have been have a positive effect on viewing satisfaction and psychological well-being. Fifth viewing satisfaction have been have a positive effect on Psychological well-being. Through this, This will contribute to the development of subdivided content and user-customized services for social television, and it is necessary to reconfigure and study various events that may occur between users in the future.

Construction of Preservice Biology Teachers' NOS Pedagogical Content Knowledge within Biology Teaching Context (생물 교수 맥락 내에서 예비 생물교사의 과학의 본성 교수내용학적 지식의 구축)

  • This study examined the changes of preservice biology teachers' NOS pedagogical content knowledge through two consecutive science methods courses: NOS understandings; attitudes toward teaching science; difficulties of NOS teaching; NOS teaching strategies; and views of orientation of NOS teaching. During the science methods course I, the preservice teachers engaged in discussions and reflections on what science is and how scientific knowledge has produced, drawing NOS aspects from episodes of history of science, and planning the lessons cooperating NOS instructional objectives. Then the next semester, through the science methods course II, the preservice teachers had a chance of the simulated teaching by adopting NOS teaching and learning activities in the context of the secondary biology context. The preservice teachers, further, reflected on their NOS teaching. The results showed that the preservice teachers constructed the NOS pedagogical content knowledge. They significantly improved their views of NOS and its teaching(p<.05) after the science methods course I, and retained their understanding after the science methods course II(p>.05). The preservice teachers mentioned the difficulties of teaching NOS in the secondary biology context, and further suggested effective NOS teaching methods in their reflective journals.

An Exploration of the Influencing Factors and Development of Effective Models of Science Teacher Efficiency (과학 교사의 효능감 관련 요인 탐색을 통한 과학 교사 효능감 형성 모형 개발)

  • This study investigated secondary school science teachers' experiences to explore the influencing factors in science teachers efficiency (STE). The participants, thirty three secondary school science teachers who have more than four years of teaching experience, were interviewed about describing each teacher's experience throughout one's years of teaching. The grounded theory introduced by Strauss and Corbin (1998) was used to analyze the data in this study. The results of paradigm analysis revealed that STE is influenced by 125 concepts, 38 sub-categories, and 16 categories. In a paradigm model, the central phenomenon was 'constructing STE', and the causal condition was 'want to be a teacher' as career choice motivation. The contextual conditions that have an affect on the central phenomenon were 'self awareness of the teacher' and 'social awareness of the teacher.' The mediate conditions, which facilitated or restrained the action/interaction strategies, were 'societal tendency', 'school climate', and 'personal context.' The action/interaction strategies to control the phenomenon were 'following the line,' 'identifying effective teaching strategies,' 'taking teacher education programs,' and 'contributing to school improvement.' The consequences were 'teacher's self awareness', 'challenge,' and 'stagnating in teaching.' The overall conclusion drawn from this research is that, the definition of STE is beliefs in science teachers' capabilities to set up objects in some school teaching context and, organize and execute the course of action required to attain these. Additionally, STE has three dimensions of teacher's behaviors: science instructional efficiency, efficiency in engaging students, and efficiency in managing school conditions. This study offers insight into the nature of STE and theoretical framework. These findings may give science teachers and teacher educators the practical knowledge necessary to build effective training programs and interventions that would help increase STE and facilitate effective teaching.

A Study on the Transformational Christian Education for Young Adults: With a Focus on the Employment of Jung's Unconscious Confrontation and Loder's Transformational Theory (청년기의 기독교 변형화교육에 관한 연구: 융의 무의식 대면과 로더의 변형이론을 중심으로)

  • The important developmental tasks of young adults are based on encounter and identity. These problems of encounter and identity are also connected to the instinct of longing for the "face" of primary caregivers, who acknowledge and affirm themselves as their cherished children. James Loder emphasizes that human "face pursuit instinct" later reaches "formal-operational stage" and leads to religious yearning for God as "the Eternal Face." This pursuit of "face" and "the Eternal Face" is an existential and ontological move to find out "Who am I?" through meaningful encounters. Religious psychologist Carl Jung also points out that scientific thinking has contributed to the liberation of humans from superstitious beliefs. But this has also led to the loss of the precious value of human spirit and the sense of unity with nature. Jung emphasizes that "symbolic play" should help learners and counseler face-to-face with their unconscious mind. By doing so, learners can overcome the wounds and scars of unconsciousness and mature toward the true self. James Loder is a scholar who critically introduced Jung's "unconscientious confrontation" therapy to his educational theory. Beyond Jung's unconsciousness and "symbolic play," Loder proposed transformational education for the learners to participate in meaningful changes through interaction between human spirit and the Holy Spirit. With many young adults wandering around in their existential voids, it is clear that functional and socializational education cannot overcome their problems and developmental crisis. This developmental crisis requires a foundation of identity and intimacy in the encounter with God, the "Eternal Face." Therefore, this study suggests that when Jung's "unconscious confrontation" and Loder's "transformation logic" are employed, transformational Christian education for the healthy self-identity and intimacy of young adults can be accomplished. This inquiry presents not only theoretical reflection, but also the reactions of young adults and actual feedback obtained through implementing transformational Christian education for young adults. Through all of these endeavors, this inquiry was completed by proving that "Transformational Christian Education for Young Adults" is an educational theory that can yield actual results and abound fruits. The Consolidation and Implementation of Green Infrastructure Policy in Urban Spatial Planning - Focused on the London Plan & the All London Green Grid - (그린 인프라스트럭처 정책의 확대와 적용 - 런던플랜과 런던 그린그리드를 중심으로 -)

  • Strategies for parks and open spaces in the 21st century have moved from focusing on specific elements, such as quantitative growth and ecological and recreational aspects, to green infrastructure, which refers to a multi-functional network of open and green spaces offering a range of benefits. In the case of London, green infrastructure is realised as an integral part of urban infrastructure, involving physical and social infrastructure as well as practical spatial planning at the local level within statutory urban planning as part of a continuously developing green infrastructure framework with a theoretical basis. Taking this perspective, the present study looks at alterations to and developments in green infrastructure policies in the London Plan, the green grid framework as detailed in the city's strategic implementation of green infrastructure. Various trends and characteristics of the policies adopted in the London Plan and some implications are deduced, with three main results being identified. The first is a clear division of roles among the national government, Greater London Authority and borough councils, with local plans established under the guidance of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and the London Plan. Green infrastructure policies in the London Plan have been applied at a high rate in the boroughs' local plans, which leads to another, linked point. Secondly, green infrastructure policies and the green grid as an implementation framework have been consistently extended and developed through consolidating the London Plan, despite the change of government. Finally, in order to achieve the London Plan, the Mayor of London implemented policies by partnership and supporting programmes for London boroughs. Recently, the Seoul Metropolitan Authority introduced a parks and green spaces development policy, but the London case remains a good example; this is because green infrastructure policies in London were not a manifesto pledge but rather have been continuously and consistently advanced regardless of party politics and thus realised as long-term planning.

A Study on the Model of Appraisal and Acquisition for Digital Documentary Heritage : Focused on 'Whole-of-Society Approach' in Canada (디지털기록유산 평가·수집 모형에 대한 연구 캐나다 'Whole-of-Society 접근법'을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the archival appraisal has gradually changed from the selection of records to the documentation of the society. In particular, the qualitative and quantitative developments of the current digital technology and web have become the driving force that enables semantic acquisition, rather than physical one. Under these circumstances, the concept of 'documentary heritage' has been re-established internationally, led by UNESCO. Library and Archives Canada (LAC) reflects this trend. LAC has been trying to develop a new appraisal model and an acquisition model at the same time to revive the spirit of total archives, which is the 'Whole-of-society approach'. Features of this approach can be summarized in three main points. First, it is for documentary heritage and the acquisition refers to semantic acquisition, not the physical one. And because the object of management is documentary heritage, the cooperation between documentary heritage institutions has to be a prerequisite condition. Lastly, it cannot only documenting what already happened, it can documenting what is happening in the current society. 'Whole-of-society approach', as an appraisal method, is a way to identify social components based on social theories. The approach, as an acquisition method, is targeting digital recording, which includes 'digitized' heritage and 'born-digital' heritage. And it makes possible to the semantic acquisition of documentary heritage based on the data linking by mapping identified social components as metadata component and establishing them into linked open data. This study pointed out that it is hard to realize documentation of the society based on domestic appraisal system since the purpose is limited to selection. To overcome this limitation, we suggest a guideline applied with 'Whole-of-society approach'.

Development of Data-Driven Science Inquiry Model and Strategy for Cultivating Knowledge-Information-Processing Competency (지식정보처리역량 함양을 위한 데이터 기반 과학탐구 모형 개발)

  • The knowledge-information-processing competency is the most essential competency in a knowledge-information-based society and is the most fundamental competency in the new problem-solving ability. Data-driven science inquiry, which emphasizes how to find and solve problems using vast amounts of data and information, is a way to cultivate the problem-solving ability in a knowledge-information-based society. Therefore, this study aims to develop a teaching-learning model and strategy for data-driven science inquiry and to verify the validity of the model in terms of knowledge information processing competency. This study is developmental research. Based on literature, the initial model and strategy were developed, and the final model and teaching strategy were completed by securing external validity through on-site application and internal validity through expert advice. The development principle of the inquiry model is the literature study on science inquiry, data science, and a statistical problem-solving model based on resource-based learning theory, which is known to be effective for the knowledge-information-processing competency and critical thinking. This model is titled "Exploratory Scientific Data Analysis" The model consisted of selecting tools, collecting and analyzing data, finding problems and exploring problems. The teaching strategy is composed of seven principles necessary for each stage of the model, and is divided into instructional strategies and guidelines for environment composition. The development of the ESDA inquiry model and teaching strategy is not easy to generalize to the whole school level because the sample was not large, and research was qualitative. While this study has a limitation that a quantitative study over large number of students could not be carried out, it has significance that practical model and strategy was developed by approaching the knowledge-information-processing competency with respect of science inquiry.

International Case Study on the Public Participation Procedure in Environmental Impact Assessment (환경영향평가의 시민참여 절차에 관한 해외사례 연구)

  • Various policies and institutional efforts are being made for mature democracy and more sustainable administration of our society. In this respect, the importance of civic participation, considered essential in environmental impact assessment, has been consistently emphasized in the relevant theories and practices. Although various methods and forms of public participation are taking place in Korea, criticism is widely understood that collecting citizens' opinions in the decision-making process has become ineffective and formal. Starting from these issues, this paper seeks to learn lessons from the foreign cases in the international context. Extensive literature review was conducted to examine the meaning and objectives of public participation in EIA and the tactical principles. Based on this, the participatory systems and procedures in the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, and Canada were critically reviewed, and the implications were derived through specific cases. The results are, first, the provision of specific public participation guidelines, second, the securing of transparency in the decision-making process, third, the expansion of procedural participation levels, and lastly, the guarantee of participation opportunities. This paper is meaningful as a basic study to enrich discussions on public participation in the domestic EIA hoping to help research through more diverse empirical cases in the future.

Indicators and Planning Features of Ecologically Based Urban Regeneration -Cases from Hamburg, Germany and Copenhagen, Denmark (생태기반형 도시재생의 계획지표 및 특성에 관한 연구 -독일 함부르크와 덴마크 코펜하겐 사례를 중심으로)

  • Contrary to urban development, urban regeneration is a process of land development through conservation, restoration, and management. In particular, ecologically based urban regeneration is an attempt to improve the quality of life in an area, establish a stable settlement space, and revitalize the local economy by considering the ecological environment. In this regard, the objectives of this study were to establish theoretical concepts and analyze the successful foreign cases of ecologically based urban regeneration, and propose a direction of socio-economic regeneration along with the physical-environmental regeneration of urban areas in Korea. The study results suggest the following. First, strategies must be developed to coordinate public transportation, such as buses and subways, by considering the importance of bicycle riders, along with the sustainable-commuting system. Second, both the importance of planning parks and trails around water systems in various scales while maintaining the existing natural environment as well as using natural elements, such as electric vehicles and wind-power generation systems, were emphasized. Third, urban regeneration for increased energy efficiency requires specific architectural planning and facilities. Fourth, education and research for easy access by the public, as well as public-private partnership, will be needed in the regeneration process.

  • 녹색성장은 최근 세계적인 이슈가 되고 있다. 세계물위원회(World Water Council, WWC)의 경우 2012년 마르세유에서 개최되는 제6차 세계물포럼(World Water Forum, WWF)에서 물문제 해결을 위한 신개념 패러다임으로서 '녹색성장(Green Growth)'을 채택하기 위한 협력방안의 필요성을 제안하고 있다. 우리나라에서는 이미 녹색성장을 국가 슬로건으로 선정하고 글로벌 녹색성장연구소(Global Green Growth, GGGI)를 설립하는 등 녹색성장을 선도하고 있다. 이는 물의 중요성에 비추어볼 때 녹색성장을 물 분야에 확산시킬 수 있는 적절한 기회로 보인다. 녹색성장은 물 관련 환경서비스가 환경오염 없는 경제성장을 이룩하는 데 주요한 역할을 수행할 수 있다는 가능성과 당위성에서 파생된 최근에 만들어진 개념으로서, 물 분야의 경우 녹색경제에 있어서 중요한 역할을 수행해왔으며 이후 지속적인 인구증가, 물 소비패턴의 변화, 에너지비용 증가, 기후 변화 등으로 물 분야의 중요성은 더욱 커질 것으로 기대된다. 이처럼 물 관리는 경제발전, 재해로부터 보호, 인간의 건강 및 생태계와 삶의 질을 위하여 필수적이기에 녹색성장에 있어 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 하지만 올바른 물 관리가 녹색성장에 기여할 수 있는 방법에 대해서는 아직 명확화 구체화되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 녹색성장을 새로운 국가 성장 동력의 패러다임으로 구축하기 위해 수자원분야에서의 녹색성장방법론을 정립하고, 선진국과 개도국 정부들의 균형 있는 참여를 통한 글로벌 파트너십 구축이 요구되고 있으며, 이를 세계물위원회 등 국제기구와 공동으로 연계시킨다면 상당한 시너지 효과가 기대된다. 물관리는 국가의 경제발전, 재해로부터 생명과 재산의 보호, 인간의 건강 및 생태계 다양성 및 건전성 유지와 삶의 질을 향상을 위하여 매우 중요하며, 환경보존과 경제성장을 동시에 추구하는 녹색성장을 실현하는 데 있어서도 가장 핵심적인 사항이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 올바른 물 관리가 녹색성장에 기여할 수 있는 방법에 대해서는 아직 명확하고 구체화 되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 '물과 녹색성장'의 이론적 배경, 필요성, 개념정립, 벤치마킹 사례, 국제사회에서의 녹색성장과 관련한 논의 기구 및 흐름 등의 이해를 기초로 녹색성장을 통한 경제성장의 상호작용과 선순환구조를 체계화시키기 위한 균형방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 수자원 및 하천관리 분야에서의 WGG구현을 위한 정책제안 및 실행방안이 담긴 중장기 로드맵을 구축하여 물을 통한 성장의 발판을 마련하고자 한다.
