  • 본 연구는 데이터 전문사서 양성을 위해 데이터 전문사서의 직무 요건을 분석하고 데이터 큐레이션 관련 교과과정 현황을 분석하여 데이터 전문사서의 역량을 갖출 수 있는 교과과정을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2014년부터 2016년 국외 공고를 통해 데이터 전문사서의 역할과 능력을 분석하고 ALA 인증대학을 대상으로 데이터 큐레이션 교과과정을 조사 분석하여 데이터 전문사서 양성을 위한 교과과정을 제안하였다.

The Study on the Present Educational Aspect of Korean Teacher Librarians and Their Supply-demand Problems (우리나라 사서교사 양성현황과 수급문제에 관한 연구)

  • Through the present training condition of Korean teacher librarians and their supply-demand prospects, this paper pointed out problems both of the educational system and of its supply-demand and suggested the solution as well. Particularly, focusing on the educational system of teacher librarians and the present condition of the training organizations, this paper predicted their supply ability in the future and analyzed the demand which is necessary, when applying the standards of Korean Library Association and School Library Promotional Law with the selective situation of teacher librarians. In this way, the problems of supply-demand imbalance were indicated and, as a method for training the proper number which is required for the future demand, the rearrangement of the approval number of a course of study for the teaching profession and the establishment of Library and Information education department in education college were proposed.

  • This study suggests ameliorated Library and Information Science education, and its curriculum for education of national subject specialists. For that purpose, this study investigates and compares four internal universities, three American universities along with the figures of the present and future subjects to face updated educational plans and prepare to become a new information specialist at ALA(American Library Association), ALISE(Association for Library and Information Science Education), and other agents. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for training 'subject specialist' in the university curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study is to strengthen librarian's capacity by developing curriculum and training system for fostering '(tentative name)Librarians Specialized in Reading Healing' as a field of professional librarians. For this purpose, curriculum and training system for fostering librarians specialized in reading healing are designed and presented through research methods including literature study, case study and 1, 2nd delphi survey. The final curriculum is composed of curriculum for 1st and 2nd grade licensed librarians specialized in reading healing and refresher training based on job description of librarians specialized in reading healing. The training system is based on the first and second level certification granted by completion of the course, thus is designed to meet requirements both for academic achievement and for career development in each grade.

Developmental of Curriculum for Training Professional Librarians Specializing in the Field of Mental Health (주제전문사서로서의 정신보건사서 양성 교육과정 개발)

  • There is a strong need to develop a training program for specialized personnel called mental health librarian. The study examines the necessity of ongoing education as series of steps to be considered in actual curriculum development, by looking at the features of bibliotherapy through a literature review and through an analysis to the requirements of a qualified mental health librarian and its training system. The result shows that, in order to train librarian in mental health, it is necessary to establish courses corresponding to the bibliotherapy field within the subject of library and information sciences and to strengthen the specialization in the its curriculum. It is desirable to establish the mental health librarian educational programs in library and information science graduate programs in Korea. The results of this study, as fundamental data for future research, will promote the role of the specialized mental health librarian and guidelines for developing and expanding the qualities and training of specialized librarian to resolve the immediate problem of the Korean library scene and academia.

Curriculum Development of Training Librarians for Subject Liaison Service (주제전담사서 양성을 위한 사서 재교육 프로그램의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Among university librarians and academic community in Korea, there has been constant debate on the need for subject librarianship and the restructuring of educational programs. The debate has not resulted in substantive change so far. Recently, as several university libraries have begun to implement subject librarian service, there is a growing need to reeducate practicing librarians for such service. Recognizing that the liaison service model best fits the reality of academic libraries, this article proposes curriculum development goals and strategies, and specific course listings for the training of subject liaison librarians. We also suggest specific conditions requisite for such education programs fully develop in the future.

  • 본 연구는 어린이 전문사서 양성과 관련된 문헌정보학 교육과정 현황을 조사하고 분석해 현재 수준을 이해하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고 어린이 사서의 전문적 역량을 강화하기 위한 교육과정의개선 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 34개 대학의 2011년과 2014년 문헌정보학과 어린이 전문사서 관련 교육과정과 국외 23개 대학의 어린이 전문사서 양성 관련 교육과정을 조사 분석하여 어린이 전문사서 양성 관련된 문헌정보학 교육과정의 문제점을 밝히고 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve curricula of the library and information science education as well as continuing education for children's librarians. For this purpose, the study examined current curricula provided for children's librarianship and continuing education programs. A questionnaire survey of the educational background of current children's librarians was also conducted. Based on the results, this study proposed model curricula in the library and information science education and continuing education programs to train children's librarians.

  • 이 연구는 대학도서관 사서에게 어떠한 지적 기반을 요구하고 있는가에 대한 물음에서 시작되었다. 현 문헌정보학 교과과정이 대학도서관에 필요한 사서를 양성하는데 적합한지 현장 사서들의 의견을 들어보았다. 특히, 시대가 요구하는 대학도서관 사서들이 갖추어야 하는 능력이 무엇인지 지식, 기술, 태도의 측면으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 대학도서관이 요구하는 사서를 양성하기 위해서 문헌정보학 교과과정은 어떻게 변화되어야 하는지 논의해보았다.

A Study on Improvement of the System of Teachers' Training to Strengthen Teacher Librarians' Expertise in Korea (사서교사 양성제도의 개선방향에 관한 연구)

  • Since the present training system of Korean teacher librarians is not adequate to strengthen their expertise, the training system should be changed. The purpose of this study is to suggest an improvement of the system, which prescribes their curriculums. To do this, first of all, the requirements for being given a national teacher certification are explored. Secondly, three major previous studies are reviewed. As a result, three subjects have been added to the present curriculum which consists presently of eight subjects. The added subjects are library and information education, information literacy and collaboration and collection development.
