Skill Assessments for Evaluating the Performance of the Hydrodynamic Model (해수유동모델 검증을 위한 오차평가방법 비교 연구)

  • To evaluate the performance of the hydrodynamic model, we introduced 10 skill assessments that are assorted by two groups: quantitative skill assessments (Absolute Average Error or AAE, Root Mean Squared Error or RMSE, Relative Absolute Average Error or RAAE, Percentage Model Error or PME) and qualitative skill assessments (Correlation Coefficient or CC, Reliability Index or RI, Index of Agreement or IA, Modeling Efficiency or MEF, Cost Function or CF, Coefficient of Residual Mass or CRM). These skill assessments were applied and calculated to evaluate the hydrodynamic modeling at one of Florida estuaries for water level, current, and salinity as comparing measured and simulated values. We found that AAE, RMSE, RAAE, CC, IA, MEF, CF, and CRM are suitable for the error assessment of water level and current, and AAE, RMSE, RAAE, PME, CC, RI, IA, CF, and CRM are good at the salinity error assessment. Quantitative and qualitative skill assessments showed the similar trend in terms of the classification for good and bad performance of model. Furthermore, this paper suggested the criteria of the "good" model performance for water level, current, and salinity. The criteria are RAAE < 10%, CC > 0.95, IA > 0.98, MEF > 0.93, CF < 0.21 for water level, RAAE < 20%, CC > 0.7, IA > 0.8, MEF > 0.5, CF < 0.5 for current, and RAAE < 10%, PME < 10%, CC > 0.9, RI < 1.15, CF < 0.1 for salinity.

  • In construction project planning and control, a cost model performs a critical role such as cost determination on a contract stage and cost tracing. The model can maximize owner's profit and value within the project budget and optimize cost management works on overall construction implementation stages. A BoQ(Bill of Quantities) generally adopted in a unit price contract has been applied as an important tool for cost control and forecast. However a previous cost model based on the BoQ has shown limitations in that it requires too detailed information and heavy manpower on cost management and difficulty in keeping relationship with construction planning, scheduling and progress management. The each cost items and unit prices which constitute of construction works are individually very important management factors but the relative weight for each items and prices have a difference on the contents and conditions of each conditions of each construction works. In consideration of this structural mechanism of cost determination, this research is aimed at examining the critical factors affecting the construction cost determination and propose and verify a new cost forecasting model which is more simple and efficient and also keeps the accuracy of cost management.

  • 최근 다양한 네트워크 서비스에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 Service Function (SF)의 동적 구성을 위한 유연한 모델이 요구된다. Service Function Chaining (SFC)은 일련의 SF로 구성된 새로운 네트워크 서비스 배포 모델을 정의한다. Software Defined Networking (SDN)은 제어 평면을 중앙 집중화함으로써 네트워크 트래픽 제어를 단순화하여 SFC동작에 중요한 역할을 한다. SDN 기반 SFC(SD_SFC)는 SF 장애를 감지하기 위한 모니터링 시스템이 필요하다. 그러나 기존의 모니터링 방식은 모든 SF에 Monitoring Agent(MA)를 배치하기 때문에 높은 시그널링 비용을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 최소한의 SF에 MA를 배치함으로써 시그널링 비용을 줄이는 SFC모니터링 방식을 제안한다. 제안하는 SF selection 알고리즘은 최적화된 SF 집합을 사용하여 오버로드된 SF를 반환하여 MA를 배치한다. 우리는 제안 시스템의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 테스트베드 구현을 통해 실험하였다. 실험 결과에 따르면 우리는 기존 방식에 비해서 시그널링 비용을 59.2% 절감하였다.

  • In domestic construction industry, time and cost has been managed separately in most cases. Usually projects are managed focused on cost, so time is not yet managed systematically. Project performance in these managemental situation can not be assessed correctly. This would cause project delay, cost overrun, productivity loss. Therefore it is needed to adopt earned value concept, an approach used in the management and control of project costs and schedules. Using this EV concept through time-cost integration, project can be managed properly based on the consistency, predictability, and reliability of the performance data. This paper proposed time and cost integration process, proper PMT method, and practical performance management model through time and cost integration.

  • In the software development project applying object-oriented development methodology, the research on the UCP(Use Case Point) as a method to estimate development effort is being carried on. The existing research proposes the linear model calculating the development effort that multiplies an invariant on AUCP(Adjusted Use Case Point) which applied technical and environmental factors. However, the statistical model that estimates the development effort using AUCP and UUCP(Unadjusted Use Case Point) is not being studied. The irrelevant relationship of the linear regression model, whose development period is increasing tremendously as the software size increases, is confirmed. Moreover, during the UCP calculating process, there can be errors in FP by applying the TCF(Technical Complexity Factor) and EF(Environmental Factor). This paper presents a non-linear regression model, that does not consider the TCF and EF, and that estimate the development effort from UUCP directly by utilizing the exponential function. An exponential function is selected among the linear, logarithm, polynomial, power, and exponential model via statistical evaluations of the models mentioned above.

  • In these days, Cost and Scheduling was managed effectively because of introduction of EVMS to construction project. However the EVMS is appropriate methods to advanced country, so it is difficult to apply into domestic construction project. in this paper weighted value n, m was used of compositive index(CI) to forecast Estimate At Completion (EAC) using statistical analysis in credible interval the objective of this paper is to verify compositive index(CI) and to forecast Estimate At Completion (EAC).

  • 전력계통의 신뢰도 평가는 전기에너지 공급을 안정적으로 유지하기 위해 이루어진다. 최근 국내 전력산업에 경쟁적 시장 환경이 조성됨에 따라, 신뢰도 평가 연구에 시장 근원적인 특성을 반영하는 것은 중요한 문제로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 파라미터 접근법을 이용하여 정전비용 변화에 따른 신뢰도지수를 분석해 보았다. 수요 데이터의 시나리오 기법을 활용한 다년간의 사례연구를 수행하여 신뢰도 평가 모델의 효용성을 입증한다.

  • 수자원 관리의 새로운 패러다임으로 스마트워터그리드가 이슈화되고 있다. 스마트워터그리드는 현재 직면해 있는 물 문제를 ICT기술을 활용하여 효율적으로 관리 및 운영할 수 있는 기술이다. 가뭄과 홍수 등을 대응하기 위한 분산형 수자원, 그리고 수량과 수질등의 통합 관리를 지향하는 물관리 패러다임과 ICT와 물산업을 융복합화하여 양방향 실시간 운영을 통한 네트워크 구성, 그리고 대규모 수원개발과 장거리 수송방식으로부터 지역단위의 부존된 수자원인 다중수원을 효율적으로 활용하고, 이들 수원의 최적 블랜딩 기술 및 멀티워터루프를 이용한 수요자 중심의 물관리에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지역의 부존된 수자원을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 운영지수를 산정함으로써 지역의 평상시 물관리 운영과 상수공급차단, 다중수원에 오염물질 유입, 가뭄발생 등 비상시 상황에 물관리가 원활히 이루어지도록 하였다. 스마트워터그리드에서 사용되는 물관리 운영지수는 비상시 지역간 플랫폼에 정상적으로 물공급이 어렵거나, 예상되어 유량 확보가 필요시 원활하게 유량 확보가 가능하도록 주변 지역간의 운영지수를 산정하여 최적의 조건을 도출하여 우선순위를 시나리오에 나타내어 사용자가 플랫폼에 물공급이 가능하도록 제시한 운영지수이다. 물관리 운영지수는 중회귀분석 기법을 이용하여 종속변수에 선형적인 영향을 미치는 유량, 수질, 이송거리, 전력비용, 경제적인 영향 등을 고려하여 종속변수의 값을 예측하고 통계적인 기법으로 유량, 수질, 이송거리, 전력비용, 경제적인 영향 등에 대한 장래추정치를 부여하여 회귀모델을 구축하여 물관리 운영지수를 산정하였다. 이를 활용하여 평상시에는 물수요 공급량을 정확히 관리하여 지역간의 수자원 불균형을 해소하고 비상시에는 상황을 대처하여 지역의 물부족 문제를 해소할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • With the intensifying of price competition and structural diversifications, the uncertainty of the domestic housing market has been increased. This highlights the importance of the planning stage of construction projects, and the increased need for a higher level of accuracy in approximate estimates. Currently, a number of research and development programs to calculate construction cost at the initial planning stage are being conducted. However, there are few cases in which local characteristics are considered in deriving the results. If local calibration can be conducted during estimates, more accurate cost estimates will be enabled. This could also play a major role in ensuring the success of a project. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop a calculation methodology and a model for a local index based on the historical data of public apartment buildings, and to derive a local index that supports accurate construction cost estimates.

Computation of Maintainability Index Using SysML-Based M&S Technique for Improved Weapon Systems Development (SysML 기반 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기법을 활용한 무기체계 정비도 지수 산출)

  • Maintainability indicates how easily a system can be restored to the normal state when a system failure occurs. Systems developed to have high maintainability can be competitive due to reduced maintenance time, workforce and resources. Quantification of the maintainability is possible in many ways, but only after prototype production or with historical data. As such, the graph theory and 3D model data have been used, but there are limitations in management efficiency and early use. To solve this problem, we studied the maintainability index of weapon systems using SysML-based modeling and simulation technique. A SysML structure diagram was generated to simultaneously model the system design and maintainability of system components by reflecting the maintainability attributes acquired from the system engineering tool. Then, a SysML parametric diagram was created to quantify the maintainability through simulation linked with MATLAB. As a result, an integrated model to account for system design and maintainability simultaneously has been presented. The model can be used from early design stages to identify components with low maintainability index. The design of such components can be changed to improve maintainability and thus to reduce the risks of cost overruns and time delays due to belated design changes.
