The logical assumption of the comparison question test (CQT) is that the guilty person pays more attention to the relevant questions than to the comparison questions, and that the innocent person pays more attention to the comparison questions than to the relevant questions. The purpose of this study was to verify the logic of the comparison question test using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The participants were tested for brain responses during a mock crime and performed the CQT under guilty and innocent conditions. After brain imaging, we evaluated the psychological burden of responding to the relevant questions and comparison questions. In the guilty conditions, the degree of burden was higher for the relevant questions than the comparison questions, and there was no significant difference in the innocent conditions. The fMRI results showed that, in the guilty conditions, greater activation was observed in the right superior temporal gyrus and right inferior frontal gyrus when relevant questions were presented relative to comparison questions. Based on these findings, the logical assumption of the CQT was discussed.

The purpose of this study was to study to the effect of presenting SBF questions on the level of conceptual achievement and eye movement of elementary students in seasonal constellation learning that requires systems thinking. In this study, the effectiveness of SBF questions was divided into experimental groups and comparison groups, and scientific texts with different question types were presented to analyze the level of conceptual achievement and differences in eye movement of sixth-grade elementary students. Data analysis quantitatively analyzed the pre- and post-test results of the developed concept test paper and the eye movement data when learning scientific texts related to seasonal constellations. As a result of the study, first, the SBF question was a valid learning strategy for learning seasonal constellations. The SBF question showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in the pre- and post-test between groups, and a statistically significant difference (p<0.001) in the pre- and post-test within the group. Second, SBF questions had a positive effect on students' learning by inducing learners with low preconceptions to area of interest that help them achieve concepts. In other words, when presenting SBF questions with visual data from a space-based perspective, it was confirmed based on the results of eye movement analysis that there was a significant difference in total fixation count (p<0.01) of learners. On the other hand, for learners with high scientific preconceptions, the effect of exploration was not significant because the preconceptions of the learners themselves acted as a hard core rather than the effect of SBF questions. This study is different from existing seasonal constellation learning studies in that it provides quantitative data through pre- and post-test and eye movement analysis in the seasonal constellation learning process, and can help elementary students learn seasonal constellations.

The purpose of this study was to compare the physical and psychological functioning by sex, weight and age in Judo athletes. The 124 participants; high school students, college students, and team players. They used physical tests to measure physical examinations by self-describing Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score test, Foot and Ankle Outcome Score test, and Oswestry Disability Index, and psychological tests such as Profile of Mood Test, Athletes' Self-Management Questionnaire, and The Athletic Coping Skills Inventory-28, to examine the effects of physical and psychological functions of sports athletes. The physical tests of sex showed differences in knee and back, psychological tests of sex showed differences in mood state, self-management, and athletic coping skills. As a result of physical examination by weight, there was a difference in knee pain and sports items, psychological tests showed that there was a significant difference in mood state except for vitality. Physical examination by age showed differences in knee, ankle, and back. As a result of age-based psychological test, mood state test showed difference in all items except tension and vitality. There was a significant difference only in the items of physical management in self-management test. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basic data for sports injury training and medical technology development by sex, weight and age of Judo athletes.
Psychological typology in analytic psychology is used not only for ascertaining the attitude or function of the conscious ego, but also as one blueprint for the individuation process. We all know the need to emphasize an awareness of the deployment and development of the superior function, the secondary function, the third function and the inferior function for the individuation process. This study has the goal of refining our awareness of this deployment and development of typological functions. The questionnaires of the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and the Gray Wheelwrights Jungian Type Survey use the method of a forced-choice questionnaire, on the assumption of a bi-polarity hypothesis. But the questionnaire of the Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory uses the Likert scale. It is able to show the deployment of the superior function, the secondary function, the third function and the inferior function visibly. It allows us to test the subject at stated periods for his/her development or change of psychological typology. The Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory is a statistically superior method for showing Jung's psychological typology relative to both the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and the Gray Wheelwrights Jungian Type Survey. I have studied how the original authors of The Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory understood Jung's psychological typology. I produced the reliability and the item-discrimination power of the Korean Version of the Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory. On the basis of this study, I produced the revised Korean version 1 of Singer-Loomis Type Deployment Inventory.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of science based on question-centered Havruta learning on the logical thinking and the science related attitude of elementary students. The number of participants were 93, 4 classes of 4th graders in G elementary school in C city. The experimental group, 2 classes including 46 participants, took science lessons based on question centered Havruta learning while the comparative group, 2 classes including 47 participants, took teacher-driven lessons using teacher's guidebook. Pre and post tests were done before and after executing lessons to assess the changing in each group's logical thinking and the science related attitude. And targeting experimental group, a perception survey toward Havruta learning was carried out and the results were arranged. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the pre and post test results of logical thinking revealed that the experimental group showed higher improvement compared to the comparative group and the difference was meaningful. This implies that question centered Havruta classe has the effect of improving students' logical thinking. Second, from the pre and post test results of the science related attitude, we saw that the experimental group showed higher improvement compared to the comparative group and the difference was meaningful. This confirms that question centered Havruta class has the effect of improving students' science related attitude. Third, the survey regarding perspectives of experimental group students toward Havruta learning showed that students had a high satisfaction level.
The purpose of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of the Korean Children's Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire (K-CRSQ). In order to investigate the reliability and validity of the K-CRSQ, the data were collected from 286 elementary students. The results are as follow : Internal consistency and test -retest reliability of the K-CRSQ were .83~.89, .72~.79, respectively. To test the convergent and discriminant validity, participants were separated into two samples and administered the K-CRSQ and ten validity indices. The correlation of K-CRSQ and validity indices scores suggested that the convergent and discriminant validity are high. High rejection sensitivity group revealed high score on intentional attribution, depression, anxiety, and aggression. In contrast, low rejection sensitivity group revealed high score on self-esteem, perceived competence, and social support. The results were compared with previous studies and the implication and limitation were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of applying the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR)strategy on the attitude toward science of the elementary fifth grade students whose learning styles have beenidentified. The population of the study constitutes the total of 97 elementary fifth grade students who wereassigned into a comparison (n=48) or experimental group (n=49). To understandhow the QAR strategy potentially influencedscientific attitude, both groups were surveyedin the areas of scientific attitude before and after the experiment. TheKolb's Test was used to identifythe students' learning stylein the experimental group. According tothe learners' learning style, the results have been compared and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows:First, the findings revealed a significant difference in the experimental group students' attitude toward sciencecompared to the comparison group. Second, four learning styles were identified among the studentsin theexperimental group: a) Accommodators (46.9%), b) Convergers (24.5%), c) Divergers (20.4%), and d) Assimilator (8.2%). Following the data analysis, there was no meaningful statistical difference between four groups oflearning styles with respect to their scientific attitude.Applyingthe QAR strategy in a science class seemed toimprove the accommodators, convergers, and divergers' scientific attitude positively.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of reconstructing unit 'Seasonal Change' using step-by-step questioning for concepts changes to adjusting misconceptions of elementary school students. Most students have pre-conceptions at describing seasonal changes based on their experiences. Therefore, in newly developed unit, we reconstructed unit to include core teaching and learning contents by finding out common pre-conceptions of students and specifying purpose of teaching at misconceptions found in pre-conceptions as 'constituent of class for conceptual change'. After the scientific concept test, the result of 24 students in experimental group is statistically significant. Also, according to the result of qualitative analysis, the number of activated conceptional resources and degree of specificity in explaining seasonal changes are higher than that of control group.
Objective : This study was designed to find the characteristics of MMPI that could influence the outcome of cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT) for panic disorder. Methods : 34 patients who met DSM-IV criteria for panic disorder with or without agoraphobia had completed 11 weekly sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy. All the patients were assessed with MMPI before the initiation of treatment. Five self-report measures including Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI), Agoraphobic Cognition Questionnarie(ACQ), Body Sensation Questionnaire(BSQ), and Daily Anxiety Selfrating (0 - 8 scales) were also assessed as a pre- and post-treatment assessment. After the completion of treatment, patients were classified by the High End-State(HES) functioning group and the Low End-State(LES) functioning group for the data analysis. Results : 1) The LES group showed significantly higher scores in Hypochondriasis Scale(HS), Depression Scale(D), Hysterical Scale(Hy), Obsessive Scale(Pt), Schizophrenia Scale(Sc) and Validity Scale(F) of MMPI than the HES group. However, these differences gave impressions that the LES group had more severe symptoms rather than that they could be the factors influencing the outcome of CBT. 2) Though, the severity of symptoms of the LES group in the 5 measures of pre-assessment was basically higher than that of the HES group. The fact that both group showed the similar improvement between pre- and post-assessment supported the above interpretation. Conclusion : In regarding the above results, MMPI was not a proper tool that could provide the factors influencing the outcome of CBT. In the future study, the authors need to use a different tool that can find the personality characteristics more directly.
