Characterizations of Cellulose Blend Films: Morphology, Mechanical Property, and Gas Permeability (셀룰로오스 블렌드 필름의 특성연구 : 모폴로지, 기계적 성질, 및 가스 투과도)

  • The mechanical properties and morphologies of cellulose blends with two different additives were compared. Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) of ethylene glycol (EG) were used as additives in the formation of cellulose blends through the solution blending. The properties of blends were varied with the additive content in the polymer matrix. The ultimate tensile strength and initial modulus of the cellulose blends were highest for a blend PVA content of 30 wt% and for a blend EG content of 10 wt%, respectively. Ternary blended systems of composition of cellulose/PVA (70/30=w/w)/EG were also prepared by the solution blending method with different EG contents. The mechanical properties of these systems were found to be optimal for EG contents of up to 40 wt%. The mechanical properties of the cellulose ternary blend films were superior to those of the cellulose binary blend films. The oxygen permeability transmission rate ($O_2TR$) monotonically decreased with increasing EG content in the ternary blend films. Overall, the mechanical properties of the cellulose blend films were found to be better than those of pure cellulose films.

Preparation and Characterization of Proton Conducting Crosslinked Membranes Using Polymer Blends (폴리머 블렌딩을 이용한 수소 전도성 가교형 막의 제조와 그 특성)

  • Proton conducting crosslinked membranes have been prepared by polymer blending, which consist of poly(vinyl alcohol-co-ethylene) (PVA-co-PE) and poly(styrene sulfonic acid-co-maleic acid) (PSSA-co-PMA) at 50 : 50 wt ratio. Two kinds of PSSA-co-PMA copolymer with 3 : 1 and 1 : 1 the molar ratio of PSSA to PMA wereused as a proton conducting source. The ethylene content of PVA-co-PE was also changed as 0, 27 and 44 mol%. The membranes were thermally crosslinked via the esterification reaction between -OH of PVA and -COOH of PMA, as demonstrated by FT-IR spectroscopy (PVA-co-PE)/(PSSA-co-PMA) membranes with 3 : 1 the molar ratio of PSSA to PMA showed higher ion exchange capacity (IEC), lower water uptake and higher proton conductivity than those with 1 : 1 molar ratio. As the PE concentration increased, the IEC values, water uptake and proton conductivities decreased continuously. These properties were elucidated in terms of competitive effect between the concentration of sulfonic acid, hydrophilicity and the crosslinked structure of membranes.

  • The digital space color of new media environment denied not only the deterministic relationship of designed color and circumjacent color but also the deduced an special elements of digital space color. Such phenomena historical perspective of Gernot Wersig, new media principle of Lev Manovich and remediation of Bolter, J.K & Grusin, R. are expressed in various new media environment across. In particular, development of digital technology is moving away from its previous space color based on scientific, statistical and quantitative perspective by using diverse variables. The following research focuses on the fundamental concept of space color by type, composition of digital space color. The paper reflects on the meaning and concept of contemporary which enables the application of digital space color system on space through advanced technology. The principle of digital space color such as multidimensional malerisch, discontinuous video, vague original and copy, irregular repetitiveness of 'copy of copy', selective color of observer, experiential color of observer, and etc. makes it possible to extract the expressed element and method of digital space color. Meanwhile, the features of digital space color such as divided field of form, non-systematized of process and collage of communication can be inferred from case analysis.

  • Durable softening water repellents such as PODCW, PDDCW, and PEDCW were prepared by blending cationized polymers, fatty carbamide, waxes, and emulsifiers. The cationized polymers included poly (octadecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate) [PODC], poly (n-dodecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate) [PDDC]and poly (2-ethylhexyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate) [PEDC]. After the PET fabrics were treated with these water repellents, water repellency, softness, and durability of the PET fabrics were examined by various methods : water repellency by the hydrostatic pressure and the contact angle methods, softness by crease recovery and tearing strength, and durability by washability, respectively. Rating of water repellency of PET fabrics treated with PODCW was $80^{+}$, but those treated with PDDCW and PEDCW were not high enough to be used in industry.

  • Durable softening water-repellenting agent such as PODCW, PDDCW and PEDCW were prepared by blending cationized compound such as poly(octadecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate)[PODC], poly(2-dodecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethyl-aminoethyl methacrylate)[PDDC] and poly(2-ethylhexyl methacrylate-co-2-diethyl-aminoethyl methacrylate)[PEDC], and cationized compound of fatty carbamide, of which synthetic methods were reported in the previous paper, waxes, and emulsifiers. The results of physical tests of the P/C blended fabrics treated with PODCW, PDDCW and PEDCW with and without textile finishing resin, showed a remarkable improvement of the physical properties. The prepared water-repellenting agents, PODCW-6 and PDDCW-1, were treated on P/C blended fabrics with and without resin. For any cases, there are a little changes between initial water repellency and repellency after 3 times washing of the fabrics. Therefore, the water-repellenting agents proved to be a durable agents, and initial water $100^{+}$ and $90^{+}$ point, respectively.

  • Blends were prepared by mixing BR, SBR and NBR to CIIR, which is used for outsole, at various mixing ratio, and effect of the mixing ratio on abrasion resistance and coefficient of friction was analyzed. CIIR interferes the crystalline formation of BR in BR/CIIR blends and this could be one of the factors that rapidly decreases abrasion resistance of BR/CIIR blends. $Tan{\delta}$ peak area of CIIR/BR blends decreased as the amount of BR present in the blends increased, and similarly, the coefficient of friction tended to decrease. Stress relaxation rate and rebound resilience of CIIR/BR blends decreased with increasing BR content, and it was presumed that their rebound resilience was affected by stress relaxation rate.

  • Two types of ABS were prepared from diffrent types of rubber, and blends of the ABS and PMMA were compounded and evaluated in terms of morphology, mechaincal and rheological properties. In addition, the effect of carbon black in the ABS/PMMA blends were studied. With increasing PMMA content, flexural modulus, tensile yield strength, and surface gloss of the blends increased, but elongation at break and Izod Impact strength decreased. With carbon black addition, mechanical properties were generally decreased. Effects of the type of ABS, and carbon black on melt properties were also studied.

  • 본 논문에서는 스윕에 기반하여 인체 형상을 모델링하고 변형하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 방법은 다각형 메쉬 형태로 주어진 3차원 인체 형상을 스윕 기반의 형상 구조로 재구성하여, 형상을 모델링하고 변형한다. 인체 형상의 팔, 다리, 몸통 등 각 부분을 근사하는 스윕 곡면을 생성하고 다각형 메쉬 상의 꼭지점들을 인접한 스윕 곡면과 연결하며, 스윕 곡면이 만나는 팔, 다리와 몸통 사이에서는 꼭지점마다 연결된 스윕 단면들을 블렌딩한다. 이를 통해 스윕을 제어하여 이와 연결된 인체 형상의 자연스러운 변형을 얻어낼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 몇 개의 애니메이션 예들을 통하여 제시한 인체 변형 방법이 자연스러운 인체 동작 생성에 효과적임을 보인다. 본 논문의 결과들은 스윕 기반의 인체 형상 변형 방법이 실시간에 상당히 사실적이고 자연스러운 형상 변형이 가능함을 보여주어, 캐릭터 skinning 방법으로서 적절한 대안임을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자의 정면, 측면 영상을 이용하여 3차원 얼굴 모델에 적합한 텍스쳐 맵을 생성, 이를 이용하여 3차원 얼굴 모델을 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존 3차원 얼굴 모델은 매핑 할 텍스쳐 영상들을 하나로 통합하여 이를 원통형 좌표계를 통해 텍스쳐링 하는 방법이 이용되고 있다. 이때 정면과 측면의 영상을 3차원 얼굴 모델의 중심축을 기준으로 계산하여 좌표에 맞게 투영시키고 통합 및 보간하여 텍스쳐링 하게 된다. 사용자는 이를 위하여 정면과 측면 영상을 원통형 좌표에 맞게 통합시키는 작업이 필요하다. 본 논문은 사용자에게 수반되는 이러한 작업을 줄이고 발생될 수 있는 텍스쳐의 왜곡을 최소화하기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 2차원 정면 측면 이미지를 3차원 얼굴모델에 투영시키고 정면과 측면을 구분하여 각 텍스쳐 간 경계 부분을 자연스럽게 처리하기 위해 파노라마 이미지 스티칭 기술을 이용하여 텍스쳐링 한 뒤 얼굴 모델을 생성하는 방법에 대해서 기술한다.
