Development of Geospatial Simulation Framework for WebGIS-based Simulation System (WebGIS 기반의 시뮬레이션 시스템을 위한 지리공간 시뮬레이션 프레임워크 개발)

  • Researchers require repetitive works such as data format analysis, reformatting and map reprojection in order to use geospatial data. To solve above problems, they are building web-based simulation systems with web developers. But the web-based systems are not efficiently developed because there is not the appropriate simulation framework for a web-based system using geospatial data. In this study, the geospatial simulation framework that can be effectively applied to the web-based system was designed and proposed. Also, the framework was composed of 7 modules; web mapping service, GIS mapping, statistics, model, processing,graphics, and geospatial datasets. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the framework, a case study of urban growth has been verified. Experts who are not specialized in geospatial information disciplines expect to build easily a web-based system using geospatial data.

A Design of Framework based on Distributed System for Enhancing Productivity (개발 생산성 향상을 위한 분산 시스템 기반의 프레임워크 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a framework which supports the simple development cycle based on Distributed System using IPO(Input-Process-Output) model. In our proposed framework, once a single class with Input, Process and Output functions is developed, it can be executed like a single application in both presentation layer and middle layer of a distributed system. Our proposed Framework removes dependency on distributed system and makes development cycle decreased from Develop-Build-Deploy-Test cycle to Develop-Test cycle when application programs is developed. The verification of productivity and performance is performed by comparing our Framework with distributed system or lightweight Framework. The results show high productivity due to the considerable amount of reduction in lines of source code and reduction in dependency on distributed system, and show stabler performance than lightweight framework.

  • Most tiled display systems supported a public workspace model where multiple users share the contents and work together on a large public screen. In this research, we developed ICE Display Framework, designed for supporting easy construction of tiled display applications allowing mixed-focus collaboration. Mixed-focus collaboration is a model that allows a number of users to work together as a group or individually on the large workspace. ICE Framework allows users to add personal contents on the tiled display without interrupting other users as well as to put shared works. In this paper, we compare ICE framework with previous research and explain the detail implementation. Then, we introduce the applications built with this framework and discuss the evaluation and analysis of the performance of the new framework.

  • The purposes of e-Government are to connect government agencies without boundary, and to deliver better quality e-services to citizens. The frontier countries try to reach the e-Government goals using Government Interoperability Framework(GIF). Even though Korea also has interoperability regulations, that is obscure. So we have some limitations to take the e-Government interoperability advantages. This study analyzes the cases of advanced countries (EU, U.S., U.K., and Australia), and reviews Korea's regulations. After that, we suggest EA based Korean e-Government Interoperability Framework(K-GIF), that is to manage the interoperability from business to information technology over the whole IT life cycle.

  • Recently, interest and investment in the Internet of Things (IoT) have increased significantly, and security issues are constantly being raised. As a solution, the IETF ACE Working Group is establishing the ACE framework standard, which is a new security framework for various constrained IoT environments based on the existing OAuth 2.0. However, additional work is required to apply the ACE framework, which proposes a new lightweight security system, to the existing Internet environment, and this additional cost is a factor that hinders the application of OAuth 2.0 to the IOT environment. Therefore, we propose an IoT authentication framework based on OAuth 2.0's existing development motivation, and implement a proposal framework based on CoAPthon and analyze its performance.

Machine Learning-based Concrete Crack Detection Framework for Facility Maintenance (시설물의 유지관리를 위한 기계학습 기반 콘크리트 균열 감지 프레임워크)

  • The deterioration of facilities is an unavoidable phenomenon. For the management of aging facilities, cracks can be detected and tracked, and the condition of the facilities can be indirectly inferred. Therefore, crack detection plays a crucial role in the management of aged facilities. Conventional maintenances are conducted using the crack detection results. For example, maintenance activities to prevent further deterioration can be performed. However, currently, most crack detection relies only on human judgment, so if the area of the facility is large, cost and time are excessively used, and different judgment results may occur depending on the expert's competence, it causes reliability problems. This paper proposes a concrete crack detection framework based on machine learning to overcome these limitations. Fully automated concrete crack detection was possible through the proposed framework, which showed a high accuracy of 96%. It is expected that effective and efficient management will be possible through the proposed framework in this paper.

  • As federated learning brings a large paradigm to modern artificial intelligence research, efforts are being made to incorporate federated learning into research in various fields. However, researchers who apply federated learning face the problem of choosing a federated learning framework and benchmark tool suitable for their situation and purpose. This study aims to present guidelines for selection of federated learning frameworks and benchmark tools considering the circumstances of researchers who apply federated learning in practice. In particular, there are three main contributions in this study. First, it generalizes the situation of the researcher applying federated learning by combining it with the goal of federated learning and proposes guidelines for selecting a federated learning framework suitable for each situation. Second, it shows the suitability of selection by comparing the characteristics and performance of each federated learning framework to the researcher. Finally, the limitations of the existing federated learning framework and a plan for real-world federated learning operation are proposed.

Development of X-internet frame work based on FLASH (플래시 기반의 X-인터넷 프레임워크 개발)

  • In this paper, we developed X-internet framework based on Flash and API for this framework. Proposed X-internet framework based on Flash enables to obtain design with dynamic user interface compare to web application and enables to reduce development time. Since this framework use the API that we developed in this study art flash player, this framework does not need server module. In analytical results, it has been shown that proposed x-internet framework have efficient characteristics such as network traffic, low development cost and dynamic user interface implementation. Since this X-internet framework can operate in environment of current developer friendly, it is useful for development of various new application programs.

  • 지식 네트워크 (knowledge network) 구축은 지식의 재사용을 통하여 조식의 효율성을 개선시키고 지식 레버리지를 통하여 혁신을 촉진한다는 점에서 지식관리의 핵심적 요소이다. 본 연구는 (1) 개인이 집단 내 외에서 맺고 있는 지식 네트워크가 팀의 객관적, 주관적 성과에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고, (2) IT 활용이 지식 네트워크의 효과성을 어떻게 조절하는 가에 대해서 실증 함으로써, (3) 지식 네트워크 구축, IT 활용, 그리고 팀 성과 간의 관계에 대하여 학문적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 사회 네트워크 이론을 바탕으로 지식 네트워크의 집단 내부 결속과 외부 매개성을 통합하는 이론적 프레임워크를 개발하고 국내 5개 컨설팅 업체의 172명의 컨설턴트와 42개 프로젝트 팀을 대상으로 사회 네트워크 분석 (Social Network Analysis)을 실시하였다. 분석 결과는 지식 네트워크의 내부 결속(네트워크의 밀도)과 팀 성과의 선형적인 관계를 지지하였으며, 외부 매개성은 직접적으로 팀 성과에 영향을 미치지 않았으나 팀 수준의 IT 활용 (공동체적인 컴퓨터 매체의 활용)과 상호작용을 통해서 팀의 성과를 실질적으로 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다.
