Analyzing the Impact of Pandemics on Air Passenger and Cargo Demands in South Korea

  • 글로벌 팬데믹 사태는 항공 수요에 부정적인 영향을 끼치는 요소 중 하나다. 글로벌 팬데믹으로 인해 한국은 2020년과 2021년의 항공 승객 수가 2019년 대비 각각 68.1%와 47% 감소했다. 본 연구는 지난 20여년 동안 발생한 4대 팬데믹 특성을 분석, 전염병의 영향을 연구하는 것을 목표로 한다. SARS, H1N1, MERS 및 COVID-19의 발생기간 동안 한국의 항공 여객 및 화물 수요에 대한 실증 데이터를 활용하여 영향력을 분석한다. 또한 머신러닝 회귀 모델을 구축하여 향후 발생할 다른 전염병 대한 항공 수요를 예측하고자 한다. 연구 결과, 전염병이 항공 운항편수와 승객에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 사실을 발견하였다. 반면화물 수송에는 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 분석 결과를 도출하였다. 본 분석에 활용되는 회귀 모델은 팬데믹 기간 동안 항공수요를 예측하는 데 평균 86.8%의 기능을 보였다. 또한 본 연구는 특정 국가의 팬데믹 상황보다 전 세계적인 팬데믹 상황이 항공 운송 수요에 더 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여준다.

Effect of computer anxiety and complexity of web-sites on users' attitudes (컴퓨터 불안과 웹사이트의 복잡도가 사용자의 태도와 사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Nowadays many Internet users have their own homepages and blogs on the Internet. Developers and designers offer a lot of options to users to increase their satisfaction. Do users prefer a lot of options? This study shows that users may prefer simple web-sites to complex web-sites. Moreover, users' attitudes can be affected by individual characteristics users have. This study focuses on one of the individual differences, computer anxiety. As a result, users who have high computer anxiety had more negative attitudes to web-sites than users having low computer anxiety had. This result emphasizes the importance of understanding users when designing interfaces.

The Effects of Internet Fashion Consumer Characteristics, Shopping Motivation, and Price Sensitivity on Negative Purchasing Behavior (인터넷 패션 소비자의 특성과 쇼핑동기 및 가격민감도가 부정적 구매행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the effects of internet fashion consumer characteristics and shopping motivation on price sensitivity as well as the effect of price sensitivity on negative purchasing behavior. A survey was conducted from August 10 to September 20 in 2012 and 364 responses were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The characteristics of internet fashion consumers were composed of innovation tendency, impulse buying tendency, information orientation, and variety seeking tendency. Shopping motivation was composed of convenient motivation, social motivation, hedonic motivation, product motivation, and economic motivation. The information orientation and variety seeking tendency of internet fashion consumers influenced the price search. The innovation tendency, impulse buying tendency, and variety seeking tendency of internet fashion consumers influenced the price importance. Convenient motivation, hedonic motivation, and product motivation positively affected the price search; however, social motivation negatively affected the price search. The social motivation, hedonic motivation, and economic motivation of internet fashion consumers positively affected price importance. Price search and price importance influenced the purchasing delay; in addition, price search influenced the switching intention. The results of this study provide useful information for customer management and internet shopping mall marketing strategies.

Analysis of the Contents of Anti-Smoking Advertisement (금연공익광고의 메시지 유형 분석)

  • The study analyzed the characteristics of anti-smoking advertisements in Korea and examined if these characteristics were appropriate in terms of their effects. 68 TV anti-smoking ads were content-analyzed, focusing on ad appeal, message frame, message orientation, communication goal, and ad type. According to research, TV anti-smoking ads in Korea used messages that had the following characteristics: First, physical type messages that emphasize the effects of smoking on health, second negative frame messages that show negative consequences of smoking, third self-oriented messages that emphasize the consequences of smoking on oneself, fourth messages that intend to change attitude toward the smoking, and fifth storytelling techniques. Based on the results of previous ansi-smoking ad effect research, practical implications were discussed to enhance the effectiveness of the nation's anti-smoking advertisements.

  • This study tried to understand the structural relationship of consumer characteristics on consumer emotions and satisfaction in online shopping. First, consumer characteristics derived various tendencies through previous studies. Next, consumer emotion was defined as positive and negative emotions in the six purchasing processes from information search to use, and satisfaction was defined as the overall satisfaction of the purchasing experience. To this end, this study measured consumer satisfaction and positive/negative emotions in the six consumption processes in their 20s and 40s with online clothing shopping experience within the last month. Finally, structural equation modeling(SEM) was conducted. As a result, the model fit was good, and impulse purchase tendency, conspicuous consumption tendency, innovation tendency, and trendy shopping tendency only affected negative emotions. On the other hand, it was confirmed that information search tendency, hedonic shopping tendency, and economic shopping tendency directly affect positive emotions and indirectly affect consumer satisfaction. Through this, implications for improving the consumer experience in online shopping were presented by identifying consumer characteristics and enhancing consumer emotions.

  • 농업은 다른 산업과 달리 원천적으로 기후 조건과 변화에 크게 좌우되는 분야로, 기후변화로 인한 영향에 가장 민감한 분야라고 할 수 있다. 안정적이고 지속적인 작물 생산을 위해서는 기후변화가 농업수자원에 미치는 영향에 대하여 정확히 파악하고, 이로 인해 발생할 수 있는 부정적 효과를 최소화하기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 특히 기온 상승, 강수량 및 강우강도 변화, 증발산량 및 일조시간 변화 등의 기후변화는 우리나라의 가뭄 발생의 양상에도 변화를 야기하게 될 것이다. 따라서 현 상황을 바탕으로 미래에 발생할 가뭄에 대하여 예측하고, 그 취약성을 줄이기 위한 합리적인 계획이 필요하다. 즉 기후변화에 대처하기 위해서는 향후 발생할 수 있는 가뭄의 특성을 파악하여 미래 수자원 관리에 활용하기 위한 가뭄특성 분석이 필요하다. 가뭄은 기상학적 가뭄, 기후학적 가뭄, 농업적 가뭄, 대기학적 가뭄, 수문학적 가뭄, 사회경제적 가뭄 등으로 구분할 수 있는데, 일반적으로 강우량 등의 기상조건을 분석하는 방법에서부터 저수량과 유역 유출량, 그리고 토양수분 등의 수문학적 조건들로 가뭄을 분석하는 방법들까지 매우 다양하다. 가뭄의 정량화는 가뭄을 표현하는 대상의 특성에 따라 평가방법이 달라질 수 있다. 가뭄의 경향이나 그 정도를 파악하기 위해서는 하나의 가뭄 지수가 아닌 다양한 항목을 바탕으로 평가가 이루어져 한다. 현재 기후변화와 관련한 가뭄 연구에 있어서 기상학적 가뭄지수인 SPI (Standardized Precipitation Index) 중심으로 많은 연구 이루어졌을 뿐, 농업적 가뭄지수를 바탕으로 한 연구는 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기후변화에 따른 우리나라의 농업가뭄 특성을 분석하기 위하여 토양수분지수 (Soil Moisture Index)를 이용하여 중권역별 가뭄 평가하고 그 변화를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 이를 위하여 CGCM3.1 (Coupled Global Climate Model Ver. 3.1) 및 LARS-WG (Long Ashton Research Station Weather Generator)를 이용하여 2011년부터 2100년까지의 A1B, A2 및 B1 시나리오별로 기상자료를 생성하고, 이를 바탕으로 SMI 지수를 산정하여 유역별 가뭄 발생 빈도 및 심도를 시나리오별로 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 기후변화로 인한 농업가뭄 발생의 양상 및 특성을 파악하고 전망함으로써, 추후 발생할 수 있는 부정적 효과를 최소화하기 위한 대응 전략 및 농업수자원 정책의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The Differences of Interpersonal Experiences between Multicultural and Korean Children with PTSD Symptoms (심리적 외상 경험 다문화가정 아동과 일반가정 아동이 인식하는 대인관계 특성 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the different perceptions of relationship with significant others of multicultural children with PTSD symptoms. To select the subjects for this study, Korean version of Greenwald and Rubin's CROPS(Child Report of Post-traumatic Symptoms) was administered to 97 multicultural children and 110 Korean children. Among them 20 multicultural children and 22 Korean children were determined as children with PTSD symptoms. SCT was administrated to 42 children and the content analysis of 42 SCTs was undertaken. The following results are the major findings of this research: a) multicultural children perceived their mothers, fathers, friends, and teachers more negatively than Korean children; b) only 55% of multicultural children had positive self-images while almost Korean children had positive self-images; c) multicultural children expressed psychological trauma from peers in school while Korean children expressed psychological trauma from parents at home. Lastly, we discussed implications of the results, limitations and suggestions for future study.

  • This study was undertaken to better understand the professional recognition of the food service industry of college students in food service realted majors based on characteristics of the respondents In order to achieve the purpose of the study, 211 questionnaire surveys were colelcted in the period from May 19 to May 30, 2014. The study conducted regression analysis by using SPSS Win18.0 package, for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, analysis of reliability, correlation analysis tests, t-test, andone way ANOVA. Measure of occupation self-esteem, positive values, social reputation, negatively handled, relatively effectively configuration, each construct was to ensure reliable and statistically significant relevance. The results were analyzed by the difference factor of occupation self-esteem according to demographic characteristics, depending on gender, has confirmed that the perceived social reputation in a different way, depending on the differences in grade, to verify that you are aware of the positive values in a different way. Also Department has been analyzed with the degree of cognitive differ for positive values and negative treatment in accordance with, understand that it perceives the relative effects and negative treatment in accordance with the future desired profession in a different way. This suggests that there is a need to find ways to satisfaction and career decision level of major occupational self-esteem is high is to raise the occupational self-esteem major of food service industry college students based on the results of previous research get higher. In particular, I would like to emphasize that there is a need provide a substantial improvement on the negative treatment and the most negative recognize and social reputation is for the work of the food service industry.

What you see and what you want to see from public figures: Cognitive Representations of Politicians and Entertainers (이상적 공인에 대한 기대와 공인에 대한 실제 평가: 정치인과 연예인에 대한 인지적 표상을 중심으로)

  • Using social network analysis, this study examined cognitive representations of ideal public figures as well as politicians and entertainers who are often regarded as public figures in Korea. Participants expected ideal public figures to possess only positive characteristics, such as high morality, integrity, competence. However, their assessment of politicians and entertainers reflected in their cognitive representations turned out to be fairly different from the image of ideal public figures. Personality traits and behavioral characteristics featured in cognitive representations of politicians were dominantly negative. Cognitive representations of entertainers incorporated both positive and negative characteristics highly interconnected to each other. This study also explored how people respond affectively toward ideal public figures, politicians and entertainers. Participants showed only positive feelings toward ideal public figures. However, their' affective responses toward politicians were entirely negative and toward entertainers, both positive and negative affects were shown. We discussed the disjunction between the representations of politicians and entertainers and of ideal public figures and suggested directions of future research.

The Experiences of Novice Teachers in Daycare Centers and the Grounded Theory of their Adjustment Process (초임 보육교사의 경험과 조직 적응과정에 대한 근거이론)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain basic information for novice teachers' adjustment. The data from five novice teachers were collected by in-depth interviews of each subject, as well as reviewing a memo diary, journal and class diary. The results indicated that the novice teachers' experiences were categorized into difficulties in social relationships, heavy workload, stress related to making mistakes, obtaining support and assistance, adequate understanding of their field of work and so on. The model theory for their process of adjustment was found by grounded theory approach. The causal conditions include mistakes in performance of work and immaturity of managing social relationships. The contexts include age of the children, work conditions(i.e. time and space), amount of workload, unfamiliarity of new work assignments, personalities of colleagues, and high frequency of meeting parents of children. The intervening conditions are composed of a guidance program for novice teachers, support from colleagues, work rewards, and the personalities of novice teachers. The novice teacher use three strategies: trying to ignore, sharing difficulties and accessing support from friends or family, as well as willful efforts to transfer negative emotions into positive ones. The consequences of the strategies include: successful career progression, survival, and desire for leaving the field of work.
