  • Recognition of three-dimensional objects with convexities and concavities is a hard and challenging problem. This paper presents a feature extraction method out of three-dimensional objects for the purpose of classification. This new method not only provides invariance to scale, translation, and rotation $R^3$ but also distinguishes any three-dimensional model objects with concavities and convexities by measuring a relative similarity in the information space where a set of characteristics features of objects is mapped.

  • 소프트웨어 재사용성과 유연성에 초점을 둔 XML기반 플러그인 프레임워크는 메시지 복잡도가 증가할 경우 성능적인 약점을 보였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 XML 기반 플러그인 프레임워크의 주요 구성 요소인 XML기반 객체 모델의 성능향상 방안을 제안하고, 성능측정 결과를 보인다. XML기반 객체모델은 트리구조의 객체에 데이터를 저장하기 때문에 객체모델을 실제 네트워크로 전송하기 위한 Encoding시에 트리 내부의 모든 객체에 대한 전수순회를 수행하여야 하지만, 제안된 방안은 볼록단위로 복사를 수행할 수 있도록 데이터블록을 적용하여 데이터객체를 전수순회하지 않고 메시지 Encoding이 가능하도록 하였다. 성능측정 결과 메시지 복잡도 상승으로 인한 성능저하 문제를 해결하였으며, 대용량 시스템에도 적용 가능한 범용 프레임워크로 한 단계 발전하게 되었다.

Morphological Study on the Mast Cell of Proventriculus in Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) (꿩 전위의 비만세포에 관한 형태학적 연구)

  • Mast cells have been studied extensively in various animals including rats and mice, whereas little is known the morphological data about pheasant mast cells. Here, morphological features of Korean pheasant mast cells are described in this study using light and electron microscopes. For light microscopy, mast cells had many metachromatic granules stained with toluidine blue in the cytoplasm. The fixation with $10\%$ neutral buffered formalin blocked staining of most mast cells but a modified Karnovsky solution proved to be a good fixative. In Korean pheasants, toluidine blue stained more mast cells than did alcian blue. For electron microscopy, the mast cells of the Korean pheasant were round, oval, spindle-like and irregular form and occasionally had a few short cytoplasmic processes. These cells had membrane-bounded granules and poorly developed organells. Some granules in the cytoplasm of the mast cells had bilayer membrane. Most granules were round shape and the membrane of several granules was concave or convex. The granules were composed of three parts, homogenous, particulate and reticular pattern.

  • In this paper, we consider the design problem of robust stabilization and robust guaranteed cost state feedback controller for discrete-time singular systems with parameter uncertainties by LMI(linear matrix inequality) approach without semi-definite condition and decomposition of system matrices. The objective of robust stabilization controller is to construct a state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system is regular, causal, and stable. In the case of robust guaranteed cost control, the optimal value of guaranteed cost and controller design method are presented on the basis of robust stabilization control technique. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the validity of the design methods.

Optimum Tuning of PID-PD Controller considering Robust Stability and Sensor Noise Insensitivity (센서 잡음 저감도 및 안정-강인성을 고려한 PID-PD 제어기의 최적 동조)

  • In this paper, we propose a tuning method of PID-PD controller to satisfy design specifications in frequency domain as well as time domain. The proposed tuning method of PID-PD controller consists of the convex set of PID and PI-PD controller. PID-PD controller controls the closed-loop response to be located between the step responses, and Bode magnitudes of closed-loop transfer functions controlled by PID and PI-PD controller. The controller is designed by the optimum tuning method to minimize the proposed specific cost function subject to sensor noise insensitivity and robust stability. Its effectiveness is examined by the case study and analysis.

Robust Stabilization of Discrete Singular Systems with Parameter Uncertainty and Controller Fragility (변수 불확실성과 제어기 악성을 가지는 이산 특이시스템의 강인 안정화)

  • This paper presents not only the robust stabilization technique but also robust non-fragile controller design method for discrete-time singular systems and static state feedback controller with multiplicative uncertainty. The condition for the existence of robust stabilization controller, the admissible controller design method, and the measure of non-fragility in controller are proposed via LMI(linear matrix inequality) approach. In order to get the maximum measure of non-fragility, the obtained sufficient condition can be rewritten as LMI optimization form in terms of transformed variable. Therefore, the presented robust non-fragile controller for discrete-time singular systems guarantees robust stability in spite of parameter uncertainty and controller fragility. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the validity of the design method.

  • In this paper, we concern the stability of smart space by using the robust digital controller. The proposed methodologies are based on the intelligent digital redesign (IDR). More precisely, we represent the nonlinear and uncertain analog system as the Takaki-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. Then the IDR problem can be reduced to find the digital gains minimizing the norm distance between the closed-loop states of the analog and digital control. Its constructive conditions are expressed as the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). At last, a numerical example, HVAC system, is demonstrated to visualize the feasibility of the proposed methodology.

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the change of rural house type and house plans in Bonghwa province. According to definition of rural area, the scopes of the research of rural houses limited the Bonghwa rural area(1 eup, 9 myeon). The method of study is to compare and analyze about housing situation, structure of house, housing type and construction of house space etc. through the statistical data of Bongwha statistical yearbook, space syntax(convex analysis) and other various data etc. during these 10 years. As a results of the analysis 1) According to Change of family member the supply ratio of detached house is steadily decreasing and changing from a detached house to multi-household house in Bongwha areas. 2) Most of houses structure were using lightweight steel construction because of cost-cutting of construction and easy way to construct etc.. 3) The highest Integration space is living space in rural house plans 4) The highest segregation space is bathroom space of master bed room in rural house plans. Some of bed rooms are classed as segregation space regardless of Integration space 5) Traditional front yard's function is changing from the place with the various functions to the place with the specific functions.

Modeling for New Type Backlight Units (신개념 백라이트유닛 모델링)

  • In order to obtain thinner and brighter backlight units (BLU), we simulated a new-type backlight unit. A micro-lens array sheet was formed on the upper plane of the light guide plate (LGP) comprising the backlight unit. Also, in order to match with the LGP, we simulated a functional optical sheet. The conventional BLU uses one LGP and four optical sheets, but we simulated a BLU that uses one optical sheet. Simulation results have revealed that our BLU can achieve the same luminance and 30% better view angle as compared with conventional ones.

Development and Application of Scientific Model Co-construction Program about Image Formation by Convex Lens (볼록렌즈가 상을 만드는 원리에 대한 과학적 모형의 사회적 구성 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • A scientific model refers to a conceptual system that can describe, explain, and predict a particular physical phenomenon. The co-construction of the scientific model is attracting attention as a new teaching and learning strategy in the field of science education and various studies. The evaluation and modification of models compared with the predicted models of data from the real world is the core of modeling strategy. However, there were only a limited data provided by the teacher in many studies of modeling comparing the students' predictions of their own models. Most of the students were not given the opportunity to evaluate the suitability of the model with the data in the real world. The purpose of this study was to develop a scientific model co-construction program that can evaluate the model by directly comparing the predicted models with the observed data from the real world. Through a collaborative discussion between teachers and researchers for 6 months, a 5-session scientific model co-construction program on the subject 'image formation by convex lenses' for second grade middle school students was developed. Eighty (80) students in 3 classes and a science teacher with 20 years of service from general public co-educational middle school in Gyeonggi-do participated in this 2-week program. After the class, students were asked about the helpfulness and difficulty of the class, and whether they would like to recommend this class to a friend. After the class, 95.8% of the students constructed the scientific model more than the model using the construction rule. Students had difficulties to identify principles or understand their friends, but the result showed that they could understand through model evaluation experiment. 92.5% of the students said that they would be more than willing to recommend this program to their friends. It is expected that the developed program will be applied to the school and contribute to the improvement of students' modeling ability and co-construction ability.
