Structure Model for TQM and Internal Customer Satisfaction of Medical Institutions (의료기관의 종합적 품질경영(TQM)과 내부고객만족에 대한 구조모형)

  • The study was conducted to find out way that improves service quality for external customers by identifying the impact of Total Quality Management(TQM) on the internal customer satisfaction and then raising the personnel satisfaction measurement in medical institutions. To this end, we carried out a survey of 500 employees from five university hospitals in three metropolitan cities of Busan, Deagu and Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do province from February 2 to April 30, 2015, and utilized 476 cases for this study finally. First, in the result of analysis, the leadership of management hierarchy affects education and training and employee participation, but not human resource management nor quality of the work among quality management activities. Secondly, the culture of medical service organization has an effect on every variable of quality management activities. And finally, internal customer satisfaction is influenced by quality management activities, the leadership of management hierarchy and the culture of medical service organization.

The patient satisfaction of medical services and the revisiting intention in a public hospital (일개 공공병원의 의료서비스 만족도와 재이용의사에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to provide the basic data for the betterment of public medical services. A questionnaire survey on the quality of the services and the intention of revisiting the hospital was administered to 330 patients in a public hospital located in Seoul. The mean satisfaction of hospital medical services was 4.11, whereas that of the revisiting intention was 3.94. The relationship between the satisfaction of medical services and the intention of revisiting was significant (t=11.335, p<.001). The intention of revisiting increased with increasing satisfaction of medical services of a hospital. Therefore, to enhance satisfaction, a hospital should identify the needs of people looking for a public hospital, increase rapport with the neighboring communities, and provide public amenities.

Factors Associated with Employee Satisfaction on Training & Education Programs in General Hospitals (병원조직 구성원의 교육훈련 만족도 결정요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest a better education programs for general hospitals. To do so, we conduct an empirical analysis of factors associated with employee satisfaction on training and education programs in general hospitals. The subjects were 490 respondents from 4 general hospitals, and the major findings of the study were as follows: First, employee satisfaction on training and education programs were shown statistically significant difference according to their demographic characteristics. Second, hospital employees whose organizational commitment and job performance was better expressed had more satisfaction with the education and training they received. Finally, it was found that self-efficacy had a moderation effect on between expectations for education and satisfaction with education and training. The study finally discusses practical implications for developing effective education program.

The Effect of Nurse Social Support and Job Satisfaction on Job Embeddedness in the Small and Medium Sized Hospital Nurses (중소병원 간호사의 사회적 지지와 직무만족이 직무배태성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of social support and job satisfaction on job embeddedness in the small and medium size hospital nurses. The subjects were small and medium hospital nurses in G city, and 197 data were analyzed. Data were analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, supervisor support, peer support of social support, job satisfaction were reported positively correlated with job embeddedness. The study model accounted for 28.0% of job embeddedness. The most powerful variable affecting job embeddedness was job satisfaction(β=.33 p<.001). In order to promote job embeddedness of small and medium hospital nurses, it is suggested that measures for improving job satisfaction and supervisors support of social support.

A Study on the Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Radiological Technologist-Turned Hospital Managers (방사선사출신 병원사무장의 직무만족과 이직의사에 관한 연구)

  • Therefore the job satisfaction of organizational members should be raised to cut down on their turnover rate. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of the general characteristics of radiological technologist-turned hospital managers to their job satisfaction and turnover intention in a bid to identify factors affecting their job satisfaction and turnover intention. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, as for job satisfaction and turnover intention, the radiological technologist-turned hospital managers investigated got a mean of 3.00 and 2.79 respectively on overall job satisfaction and turnover intention out of five points. Their job satisfaction was slightly above the average (2.5), which indicated that they weren't gratified with their job. Their turnover intention was a little above the average as well, which implied that there was a tendency for them to seek another job. The findings of the study seem to suggest that the radiological technologist-turned hospital managers should make a new investment in their own future as their identity was thrown into confusion with age. They are expected to make a preparation for their future to open up a new chapter for themselves instead of being merely contented with their present position.

Comparison of Job Satisfaction among Employees according to Hospital Type (병원 형태에 따른 재직자 만족도 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the job satisfaction of hospital workers according to the type of hospital and to provide basic data for successful hospital management. For data analysis, frequency analysis and chi-square analysis are performed for general characteristics, and Kendall's tau correlation analysis is performed to see the correlation between statistically significant factors among job environment, value realization, organizational characteristics, and individual ability factors. did A total of 241 people working at primary, secondary, and tertiary medical institutions were surveyed. Among the value realization factors in the research results, self-esteem and rewarding (p<0.05), autonomy and creativity (p<0.05), and among personal competencies factors, workload (p<0.05) were statistically A significant difference was seen. Value realization and personal competence factors were found to influence job satisfaction (p<0.001). In conclusion, the most basic for the qualitative and quantitative growth of the hospital should be the job satisfaction of the internal members, on the basis of which positive medical services should be provided to the patients.

A Study on The Influence Factors of Self-Efficacy, Job Performance, and Job Satisfaction of University Hospital Nurses (대학병원간호사의 자기효능감, 업무수행능력이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of University hospital nurses' self-efficacy and job performance on job satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 130 nurses working at a university hospital in C city and collected data using structured questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis using spss 25.0. The results showed that the self-efficacy was 3.24 points for the average score, 2.74 points for the job performance, and 3.10 points for the job satisfaction. Self-efficacy, job performance, and job satisfaction were statistically correlated. The factors affecting job satisfaction were self-efficacy (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), age at 30~34 years (${\beta}=-.27$, p=.001), Operating Room(${\beta}=-.17$, p=.029), Medical ward (${\beta}=-.17$, p=.025) and unmarried (${\beta}=-.20$, p=.012) and the explanatory power of the model was 30.4%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program to improve the job satisfaction considering the self-efficacy, age, working department of hospital nurse.
