응급실 간호사의 법의간호 교육에 대한 인식과 요구도 (Emergency Department Nurses' Recognition of and Educational Needs for Forensics Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this survey was to investigate emergency department nurses' recognition of forensics nursing and their educational needs for forensics nursing education. Methods: Data were collected via questionnaires from 167 emergency department nurses who were working in 7 university hospitals. Nurses' experiences of trauma or accidents and their recognition of and educational needs for forensic nursing education were assessed. Results: All subjects reported having suffered bodily injury due to falling or serious traffic accidents; 92.2% reported having suffered bodily injury caused by suicide attempts; 91.6% reported having experienced physical violence or abuse; 76.0% reported having experienced sexual assault or abuse; 68.9% reported having experienced some difficulties during their nursing care due to lack of forensics knowledge; and 88.6% reported never having been trained in forensics nursing. The educational needs score for "forensics nursing" was 3.61; the needs score for "abuse- and violence-related education" was 3.65; the needs score for "incident data collection related education" was 3.47; and the needs score for "forensics theory related education" was 3.34. Conclusion: The findings of the study underscore a strong need to develop an educational program on forensics nursing for emergency department nurses.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the student's awareness of the forensic nurse's role and needs for forensic nursing education. This is to provide basic data in order to develop the forensic nursing education program. Methods: The questionnaire was done by 355 nursing students at 12 different nursing colleges from March 1 to April 30, 2013. To analyze the data, the SPSS 18.0 program was used and ANOVA was carried out to see the differences of cognition concerning the need of schooling and the forensic nurse's role. Results: There was significant difference on the intention of participation in forensic nursing education according to the recognized forensic nurse's role (p=.010). There was no significant difference on the needs of the education, but there were increased educational demands when awareness of the forensic nurse's role was the higher group ($3.44{\pm}0.16$) rather than the lower group ($3.33{\pm}0.22$). Conclusion: This study demonstrated the nursing student's needs concerning forensic nursing education. Therefore, we suggest the development of a forensic nursing curriculum.

응급실 간호사의 법의간호학적 역할의 인지와 수행정도 (The Awareness and Performance of the Forensic Nursing Role in Emergency Departments)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to measure the awareness and performance of the forensic nursing role among the emergency department (ED) nurses to emphasize the presence of forensic nurses in ED and suggest encouraging essential forensic nursing education. Methods: A quantitative descriptive survey using a questionnaire was carried out to the nurses, who had a minimum of 6 months experience in the ED. This study was conducted at 7 hospitals in the Republic of Korea. Results: A total of 124 nurses were enrolled. As to the Awareness of the forensic nursing role, all the core data obtained an average of 3.39 points out of 4 points, and the documentation category was the highest score of 3.57. For the performance of the forensic nursing role, all the core data obtained an average of 2.50 points out of 4 points, and a documentation category acquired the highest score of 2.91. There is a significant correlation of (r=.452, p<.001) the awareness and performance of the forensic nursing role. Conclusion: Currently, the awareness regarding the forensic nursing role is low level. Therefore, the performance of forensic nursing role has also become low level. Consequently, forensic nursing education is essential for ED nurses to preserve evidence accurately.

응급실 간호사의 법의간호학적 역할 수행에 미치는 영향요인 (Influencing Factors on Forensic Nursing Role Performance of Emergency Department Nurses)

  • Purpose: Purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing forensic nursing performance role of Emergency Department(ED) nurses. Methods: The study was conducted with 120 ED nurses from Busan. Data were collected during July, 2013 and analyzed using SPSS Win 19.0 program. Results: There were positive correlations between awareness of the forensic nursing role and forensic interest (r=.29, p=.001), between awareness of the forensic nursing role and forensic nursing performance role (r=.54, p<.001), and between forensic experience and forensic nursing performance role (r=.26, p=.004). Awareness of forensic nursing role (${\beta}=.50$, p<.001) and experience in forensics (${\beta}=.24$, p<.001) were significant predictors of forensic nursing role performance and explained 35.9% of the variance. Conclusion: To improve forensic experience, medical institutions should provide education and training for ED nurses to increase their indirect experience. Periodic assessment should also be done. Nurses with training assigned to the ED will enhance the forensic nursing role performance.

간호대학생의 부검 관련 태도와 법의학 교육의 효과 (Effect of Forensic Education and Autopsy Attitude of Nursing Student)

  • Purpose: This research was designed to investigate the effects of forensic education and autopsy attitude of nursing students. Methods: Data on autopsy attitude were determined and collected by means of a self-reporting questionnaire including 14 questions on perception of a need for an autopsy and 11 questions on resistance to autopsy, the respondents being 846 nursing students. The collected data were analyzed by means of an independent t-test with one-way ANOVA in an SPSS WIn 18.0 program. Results: The perception of a need for an autopsy was 4.06 on average and resistance to autopsy was 2.64 on average. The nursing students taking a forensic course showed a relatively higher level of perception of the need for an autopsy (t=-5.63, p <.001) than those not attending such a course (t=2.93, p <.001). Perception of the need for an autopsy and resistance to autopsy show a negative correlation (r=-.382, p=.003). Conclusion: A forensic medicine course raises the level of perception of the need for an autopsy by nursing students and reduces the level of resistance to autopsy.

임상간호사의 개인정보보호 실천 영향요인: 개인정보보호법 지식, 옹호간호를 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Clinical Nurses' Practice of Personal Information Protection: Focusing on Knowledge of Personal Information Protection Law and Nursing Patient Advocacy)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of knowledge of personal information protection law and nursing patient advocacy on practice of personal information protection among nurses. Methods: The subjects were 130 nurses who have worked for six months or more in the ward of the tertiary or general hospitals. Data were collected from February 20 to March 3, 2023. Results: Factors influencing practice of personal information protection were acting as an advocate (β=.32, p=.004), environmental and educational influences (β=.21, p=.040), knowledge of personal information protection law (β=.19, p=.013) and clinical experience for five years or more but less than ten years (β=.17, p=.036). The regression model showed an explanatory power of 34.0%. Conclusion: Acting as an advocate has the most effect on practice of personal information protection. To promote practice of personal information protection for nurses, it is necessary to provide education related to privacy protection and encourage nursing patient advocacy.

간호대학생의 국립과학수사연구소 탐방 경험 (Nursing students' experience of visiting the National Institute for Scientific Investigation)

  • 본 연구는 국립과학수사원을 탐방 후 간호대학생의 진로에 탐색에 대한 질적 연구이다. 본 연구의 참여자는 경상북도 M시 일개 대학에 3학년을 대상으로 동아리 행사 중 국립과학수사원을 탐방프로그램을 참여한 13명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집은 국립과학수사원을 탐방 후 48시간 내에 자기 보고서를 통하여 작성하도록 하였다. 수집된 자료는 Krippendorff의 현상학적 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 국립과학수사연구소 탐방 경험을 분석한 결과 3개 범주, 6개 주제, 20개 의미 있는 진술로 도출되었다. 3개의 범주는 '간호사 직업 경계를 넘어서다', '드라마와 현실과의 차이', '새로운 분야의 도전' 도출되었다. 본 연구결과 국립과학수사연구소를 탐방 경험이 법의학 간호사에 대한 이해를 제공하였으며, 간호사로서의 다양한 사회참여 자세에 대해 기회를 가진 것으로 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 추후 진로지도와 학생상담에 유용한 기초자료로 활용 될 것으로 기대하며, 법의간호사의 대한 교육요구조사와 교육개발에 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

성폭력 발생시 법의간호사의 역할 (The role of Forensic Nurse in the situation of Sexual Assault)

  • 해마다 늘어만 가고 지능화되어 가는 성폭력 범죄에 의료인으로서 간호사의 역할이 매우 중요함에도 아직까지 한국에서는 실제적으로 간호사의 역할이 제한적이다. 현재 간호사는 상담소에서의 상담이나 학교나 지역사회에서의 성폭력 방지와 예방 교육을 하고 있으나 피해자 발생 초기 대응시 실제적이고도 즉각적인 도움은 주지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 미국 등 선진국에서는 전문적인 소양을 가진 성폭행 전문 간호사들을 교육하고 배양함으로써 증가하는 성폭행 피해자들에게 즉각적인 의학적 처치와 위기중재에 대한 전문적인 대응으로 성폭력에 대한 법적기소와 대응이 효과적으로 이루어지고 있는 추세이다. 이에 반해 현재 한국은 성폭행 피해자와 관련된 의료적 대처에 대한 관련 교육 기관이나 의료 기관이 없으며 의료기관내 간호사의 역할도 미비한 게 현실이며, 성폭력 담당 기관에서조차도 관련 교육을 받은 의료진에 의한 성폭력 피해자에 대한 초기 대응 및 증거수집 및 체계적인 증거 및 자료 확보가 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 하루 빨리 우리 실정에 맞는 영역을 설정, 교육과정을 개발하여 성폭행 전담 간호사의 양성이 필요하며, 각 성폭력 담당 기관에서도 전문적인 법의간호사에 의한 피해자 관리가 필요하다. 전문적, 체계적인 커리큘럼을 통해 양성된 간호사에게 각 부서의 인증 및 자격을 부여하여 성폭력 관련 기관에서 의무적 배치 등으로 효율적인 처치 및 간호제공을 할 수 있는 법률적 제도 보완 역시 절실하다. 또한 정부 및 의료기관과 사회단체들이 협력하여 효과적이고 공신력 있는 전문양성 기관을 마련하여 전문적이고 훈련된 성폭행 전담 법의간호사의 배출이 요구된다고 사료된다. 나아가 더욱 세분화된 양질의 의료 서비스를 위해 아동 및 청소년 상대 성폭력 전담 간호사의 도입 및 양성이 필요할 것이다.

간호학생에게 적용한 학습자질문중심학습법과 온라인 퀴즈기반학습법의 효과: 기초간호학 교과목을 중심으로 (The effect of student-generated questions and online quiz-based learning applied to nursing students; focused on biological nursing science subjects)

  • 본 연구는 학습자질문중심학습법과 온라인 퀴즈기반학습법을 생리학과 약리학 교과목에 순차적으로 적용하고 학습에 대한 효과를 비교하고자 간호학과 학생 총 173명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 전체 학생들의 학습동기는 8주차에 비해 15주차에 유의하게 낮아졌고(T=2.843, p=.005), 두 학습법을 적용한 순서에 따라서도 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 약리학 교과목 학습자들의 학습만족도는 온라인 퀴즈기반학습법만을 적용하였을 때 학습자질문중심학습법을 적용하였을 때보다 유의하게 높았다(t=2.184, p=.003). 본 연구 결과, 기초간호학교과목에 학습자질문중심학습법과 온라인 퀴즈기반학습법 중 어느 것이 더 효과적이라고 말할 수 없으며 순차적인 병용효과도 없으므로, 향후 수업 설계에서는 한 과목에 단일 학습법을 적용하거나 두 가지 학습법을 처음부터 병행하여 사용할 것을 제안한다.
