One of central issues in the Literature and Science discourses during the Victorian era is the relation of physiology to psychology. Many thinkers tackle the question of whether or not psychic phenomena can be reducible to their physiological bases. For instance, Victorian physiologist William Benjamin Carpenter claims that there should be a boundary between physiological and psychological qualities. Yet, his contemporary writer Grant Allen contends for the reduction of psychology into physiology. In the essay, I discuss Grant Allen's work Physiological Aesthetics (1877) so as to eventually problematize his physiological reductionism. I especially highlight the paradox of his physiological aesthetics. In order to clarify my argument, I introduce two concepts: evolutionary aesthetics and physiological reductionism. On the one hand, Allen argues for the development of aesthetic appreciation. The gradual evolution from gaudy to serene colors, for instance, reflects the fine differentiation of sensory organs. He believes that the existence of varied aesthetic pleasures corresponds to the evolution of sensory nerve structures. Nonetheless, Allen ironically gives more weight to the commonality of aesthetic experiences than to this teleological ordering of aesthetic experiences. He argues that there is no fundamental difference among humans in terms of their aesthetic assessments. Furthermore, there is even no essential distinction among plants, animals, and humans in light of their aesthetic appraisals, he states firmly. Although he asserts the gradual advance of aesthetic feelings caused by the intricacy of nervous systems, he simultaneously trivializes the evolution of aesthetic appraisal. In the essay, I highlight this paradox in Allen's physiological aesthetics. It should be underscored, lamentably enough, that Allen seeks biological purity by erasing fine lines among physiology, psychology, and sociality. He estranges aesthetic experiences from subjective variations and their socio-cultural contexts. He makes great efforts to eliminate individual differences and socio-cultural specificities in order to extremely biologize aesthetic experiences. Hence, Allen's physiological aesthetics is marked as the politics of physiological purification.

가전제품들의 제조기술과 기능 및 성능 등의 개선을 주도하뎐 국내 기술수준은 포화되어 발전 속도의 둔화가 가속화되므로, 경쟁력이 강화된 제품으 개발과 다양한 소비자들의 요구를 만족시키는 제품의 개발을 위하여 사용자 중심의 제품을 개발하기 위한 노력은 인간의 감성요소를 이해하고 응용하기 위한 활발한 연구로 나타나고 있는 추세이다.$^{1)}$ 사용자의 감성 연구에서 심리학적, 미학적 접근방법의 적용은 사용자의 감성을 더욱 본질적으로 이해하기 위한 하나의 방법이다. 인구통계학적, 사회경제적, 심리적 측면에 의한 개인차와 환경적 요소들의 영향에 따른 사용자의 요구들에 대한 충족여부가 취미와 가치판단의 변인으로써 작용하고, 그 취미와 가치판단은 구매행위 등의 행동특성으로 나타난다. 따라서 취미와 가치판단의 기준이되는 요소와 변인들은 행동특성을 야기시키는 요인들이 되므로 본 연구에서는 사용자의 요구를 만족시켜 경쟁력이 강화도니 제품의 개발을 위하여 소비자들의 감성과 미적 판단이 상품의 구매를 위한 의사 결정에 미치는 영향과 제품에 대한 가치판단에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 결과의 분석에 의하면 소비자의 취미돠 미적판단 기준은 내면적요소와 외부환경적요소로 구분되며 재면적 요소는 감성분류와 성격분류에 의해 분석할 수 있으며, 내면적 요소가 제품의 선호도에 영향을 미치므로 제품의 제품선택의 변인이되며, 제품에 대한 형용사적 표현은 소비자와 디자이너의 양질의통신수단임을 입증하였다.

Based on the perception of Maurice Merleau Ponty, This study defines that Moving is a form lively to experience meaning, pleasure as the aesthetic attribute structured to a product, expression and value are synthesized into. The purpose of study is to argue that Wearable, Ubiquitous, Interaction, Play, D, I, Y, Universal, Ecology are the forms, modalities that the moving is variously subjected to the product design. Above This is the result reasoned according to analogical form as below between the moving and all design forms. First, The moving as the aesthetic expression and value are synthesized into is the intrinsic, general proposition, maxim for the value judgement. Second, All design forms are the cases which the values based on the aesthetic expression system are subjected to Third, Thus All design forms are the modalities of the aesthetic expression based on the values. The certainty of this judgement, reasoning is the proof that the correspondence between the moving as the aesthetic expression and design form is the fact. That is to say, It is the proof that Users lively experience the aesthetic meaning, pleasure in fact as the aesthetic values are subjected to all design forms. The lived experience of each user in their daily life itself is the only method or assurance for this. The moving integrates the existence of a product and what should be of users into the aesthetic dimension and at the same time, is realized based on this. The emphasized theme in all cases of this study is not the product but the moving. So, The product design is changed into the action which structures the moving like above to a product.

This study aims to identify the trends in 'Aesthetic Science-Education' research through bibliographic analysis and provide future implications for research in this field. To this research, 100 studies were extracted using the search function of the Web of Science provided by Clarivate Analytics. Detailed bibliometrics was analyzed using the Bibliometrix package of the R program. As a result of the analysis, the average number of papers increased from 1993 to 2022, and academic journals in which related papers were published were evenly distributed locally. As a result of keyword analysis, papers with top citations, author collaboration networks, and literature co-citation networks, Aesthetic Science-Education could be classified as inducing aesthetic experience by integrating art in science education, and categories using 'formalist aesthetic' and 'emotional response'. The implications derived from this study are as follows: first, the aesthetic aspects of science should be actively studied to emphasize 'Agency' and 'Active Learning' in future science education. Second, it is necessary to develop a new approach to science education by further utilizing the 'formalist aesthetic' of science in science education. Third, the aesthetic aspect of science can change the perception of the Nature of Science of teachers, pre-service science teachers, and students. Fourth, it is necessary to discover implications for utilizing aesthetic aspects in science education through extensive research on the aesthetic aspects of science for teachers, students, and pre-service teachers. This study is meaningful because it provides an overview of the 'Aesthetic Science-Education' research to realize the above implications.

To quantitatively measure or evaluate aesthetic factors is not easy in comparison with physical, functional, behavioral or economic factors. Yet aesthetic factors essentially play an important role in design modeling process. Despite its importance, research on aesthetic assessment or the interaction of aesthetic influential elements is insufficient. Therefore, this study is intended to find the relationships between visual preference and aesthetic variables of perceptual-cognitive dimension and affective dimension in commercial space design. According to the result of this substantiation research, aesthetic variables that give a positive effect on the preference of commercial space design are unity, order, and clarity in perceptual-cognitive dimension and 'pleasant', 'relaxing' in affective dimension. On the other side, aesthetic variables that give a negative effect on the preference are contrast, complexity, and ambiguity that is a contrary concept of clarity in perceptual-cognitive dimension and 'exciting', 'arousing' in affective dimension.

In this paper, we analyzed curriculum materials on inequalities as regions. Constructs such as mathematical connections and curriculum articulation were used as a framework. As for articulation, our findings indicate the topic of inequalities as regions addresses meaningful subordinate mathematical thinking and skills that serve prerequisite to calculus. Regarding connections, mathematical concepts involving inequalities extend to multivariate calculus. One implication is, as an unintended consequence of curricular decision of 2015 Revised National Curriculum to teach the topic only in mathematical economics, students who plan to study STEM subjects in college but opt out of mathematics economics in high school may miss the key concept and naturally struggle to understand calculus especially the theory of multivariate function of calculus.

신용카드 및 직불카드 회사들의 연합체인 PCI SSC(PCI Security Standards Council)는 2004년 가정이나 소매상과 같은 소규모 환경에서 고객들의 금융 정보 유출을 방지하기 위한 목적으로 PCI DSS가 제정되었다. 국내에서는 2007년부터 PCI DSS 보안감사제도가 시행되었으며 유일하게 PCI DSS 보안감사자를 보유한 (주)에이쓰리시큐리티사가 가맹점1) 및 PG/VAN사(社)를 대상으로 PCI DSS 보안감사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 2007년 한 해 동안 국내의 PCI DSS 보안감사를 수행하면서 요구사항에 만족하지 못하는 항목들에 대한 사례를 분석함으로써 국내 PCI DSS 보안감사 도입의 현 주소를 파악하고 이에 대한 개선안을 도출하여 보안감사에 보다 유연하게 대처할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 2007년 한해 국내 보안감사 실시 결과 PCI DSS 보안감사 대상자의 요구사항 준수율은 평균 81%로 측정되었으며, 전체 233개의 요구사항 중 미적용으로 평가된 항목은 평균 38.7개로 나타났다. 전체적인 평균으로 따져봤을 경우 어느 정도 양호한 수준으로 판단할 수도 있으나 피감사 기업의 업태나 사전준비의 유무에 따라 많은 격차가 있었다. 특히, 기반이 튼튼한 PG사나 VAN사에 비해 신규로 등록되어 사업규모가 작거나 타사에 비해 카드결제산업이 차지하는 사업비중이 작은 곳은 PCI DSS 보안감사의 요구사항을 준수하는데 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 PCI DSS 보안감사를 통해 도출된 미적용 사항 중 가장 많은 미적용율을 나타낸 10가지 항목에 대하여 분석하고 이에 대한 대안을 제시함으로써 향후, PCI DSS의 요구사항을 기업환경에 맞게 적용하기 위해 효율적인 가이드로써 활용되었으면 하는 바램이다.

This paper explores the recent development of environmental aesthetics and critically examines the main agendas, claims, issues, and implications of everyday aesthetics, which is emerging as an important branch of environmental aesthetics. Environmental aesthetics began in the context of cultural change and environmentalism in the 1960s and expanded in the second half of the 20th century with a solid theoretical foundation. At the beginning of the 21st century, it entered a process of diversification of objects and subjects. Having reached academic maturity, environmental aesthetics has expanded into theoretical territory considering the urban environment and the human environment, providing practical coordinates as a discourse for planning and designing urban environments and landscapes. The most notable achievement of environmental aesthetics since the mid-2000s is the establishment of 'everyday aesthetics'. Yuriko Saito, who is leading the research on everyday aesthetics, expanded the objects and scope of aesthetic theory to everyday objects, events, activities, and environments. She excavates the microscopic and sensory aspects of everyday life, which have been overlooked by conventional art-centered aesthetics, through the lens of aesthetics. She reinterprets various layers of phenomena in contemporary urban landscapes and analyzes how the 'power of the aesthetic' hidden in everyday life profoundly affects the quality of life and the state of the world. Saito examines the appreciation of the distinctive characteristics and ambiance inherent in everyday objects and environments and proposes a 'moral-aesthetic judgment' to alert citizens to the environmental, social, and political consequences of everyday aesthetic appreciation and response. This paper identifies the issues and implications of everyday aesthetics as first, the expansion of aesthetics and the ambiguous everyday, second, the moral-aesthetic judgment and the aesthetics of care, and third, urban regeneration landscapes and aesthetic literacy. In particular, the moral virtues of everyday aesthetics that Saito proposes, such as care, thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and respect, provide a critical reference for the practice of contemporary urban regeneration landscapes. The 'aesthetic literacy' is a key concept demonstrating why an environmental aesthetics perspective is necessary to interpret everyday urban environments and landscapes.

The processes of mathematics development and the results of it are always those of making a conquest of the circumscription by historical inevitability within the historical circumscription. It is in this article that I try to show this processes through the history of calculus. This article develops on the basis of the dialectical materialism. It views the change and development as the facts that take place not by individual subjective judgments but by social-historical material conditions as the first conditions. The dialectical materialism is appropriate for explaining calculus treated in full-scale during the 17th century, passing over ahistorical vacuum after Archimedes about B.C. 4th century. It is also appropriate for explaining such facts as frequent simultaneous discoveries observed in the process of the development of calculus. 1 try to show that mathematics is social-historical products, neither the development of the logically formal symbols nor the invention by subjectivity. By this, I hope to furnish philosophical bases on the discussion that mathematics teaching-learning must start from the real world.

This paper is about the utilization of public interaction design in terms of design convergence study. As there are different perspectives about public character in various academic fields, it is not simple to define the concept of it. In Korea, since 1960's, the public art which considered only about places has received more and more people's attention. But, there still remain disputes over the residents' participation and communication problems. It is more important to debate mainly on the value judgments of the public design considering artistic experience, ease, functionality, and utility in the interaction rather than a focus on user's experience. On the basis of this, it is suggested bench design which includes flower motif to access and utilize freely to necessary information and the bench design will be helpful to provoke interaction and design convergence in the era of new media technology.
