There are differing opinions among scholars as to whether "chuseo" (ugly writing) should be considered as one of the schools in modern calligraphy. Those who do not recognize "chuseo" argue that it lacks traditional rules for stroke formation and therefore loses its distinctiveness. However, the existence and development of "chuseo" are closely related to the constant exploration and reform of modern calligraphy, as well as the increasing aesthetic awareness and changing aesthetic standards of calligraphers with changing times. As a result, there are now more people who recognize "chuseo" as a legitimate form of calligraphy. Calligraphers who lead the times learn and accumulate experiences by adhering to traditional calligraphic principles. However, there are calligraphers who discard the traditional Confucian concept of "chungyong" (中庸) and display "ugliness" in their works. Ok Heung-hwa and Jeung Sang are two such calligraphers who created their own style by incorporating ancient oracle bone inscriptions as their main focus and folk calligraphy as their bloodline. This paper aims to explore and study the definition and formation process of "chuseo" by analyzing the works of Ok Heung-hwa and Jeung Sang. At the same time, it aims to summarize the characteristics and aesthetic beauty of "chuseo".

Network technology used as a physical interface to retrieve, store, and exchange data is leading the era of data capitalism in the 21st century. The capacity of network technology dominates almost all communication in everyday life, and makes social understanding and experiences in the physical world visible in cyberspace. The movements of human bodies and objects in cyberspace are placed in a social context. This paper paid attention to these phenomena and examined the cases of activism that raised real problems through cyberspace. In particular, the focus of the study is the digital activism of the Electronic Disturbance Theater, which combines critical art and thinking for democracy with the realm of information and demonstrates aesthetic imagination. The first chapter of the main body briefly outlines the meaning activism as a social movement in cyberspace. The second chapter looks back on the alternatives of <FloodNet>, which represents the early activism performance of EDT. And then in the last chapter, the poetic significance of the <Transborder Immigrant Tool> is analyzed. Through this process, this paper demonstrates that the activism performance of the EDT is a critical aesthetics that encourages imagination for alternatives. It also argues that Electronic Disturbance Theater has contemporary value as an avant-garde art that actively utilizes the medium of network technology and integrates performance art and politics.

The goal of this study was to get the basic data for the domestic cosmetic industry, through analyzing female college ,students’ responses to cosmetic care of hair and their behavior, and their preference for hair cosmetics and brands. In their level of understanding and concern of hair cosmetic care, as well as their general knowledge, ‘dyed or decolorized hair’ types had the highest response rate at 49％, followed by ‘permanent wave’ type at 39％. Thus they were very interested in hairdressing-related operations, and even they made an attempt to do it directly. In the ways and management for dealing with harmful side effects caused by dyeing, decolorizing, or permanent, 74.7％ of the respondents experienced adverse effects, as well as having complaints, after permanent wave. Of the complaints 245 students experienced, ‘hair damage’ was the highest rate of 42.4％, followed by ‘unsatisfied with hair style’ at 19.8％. From the above results, female college students showed a various interest in hair cosmetic care; however, they had little knowledge in this regard. Accordingly, it is necessary to educate them for the segmentation of hair cosmetics and the appropriate hair care, to meet their diversified cosmetic needs which becomes diversified, and to offer them the correct information of hair beauty.

The paper examined whether the fine arts education needed concept of 'Yu' that was suggested by, 'Soyoyu' of Jangja, a representative philosopher of Doka. At first, the paper defined concept of 'Yu' of Jangja as well as background and needs of the fine arts education, and investigated values of 'Yu' of the Oriental painting in aesthetic way to examine whether today's Yu concept can be applied to modern Oriental fine arts education to express. Chapter 2 examined concept and thought of 'strolling (Yu)', and Chapter 3 did background and needs of the fine arts education. Chapter 4 examined an access to practical technique education of the Oriental painting through 'strolling (Yu)': At first, the chapter investigated 'Heosil' of space concept that was researched at Chapter 2, 'Pilmuk' of expression technique, and 'Saeui' of state of spiritual canvas of painters. The findings were as follow: Firstly, when relation between Yu and Oriental paintings was investigated based on formative idea, 'Heo' reminded appreciators of association of ideas, hint and imagination, etc by, 'Sil' that other objects disclosed intrinsic attributes so that it indicated border of positive forgetfulness expressed by artists to have same border between 'Heo' and 'Yu'. Therefore, both 'Heo' and 'Sil' could build up expression as well as appreciation ability by experiencing formative idea to develop creativity and to build emotion and to cognize needs of the fine arts education. Secondly, the artistic state of 'Shin', 'Ki (Simjae)', 'Jeonshin' and, Saeui', etc could be expressed with strength and weakness of both Yin and Yang of Pilmuk. Therefore, the Pilmuk were linked even with creation of both Hyeongsa and artistic form of Saeui. Therefore, freedom at border of spiritual 'strolling' could produce creative power being expressed by thinking, natural appreciation ability, and education that could judge values of aesthetic culture. Therefore, cultivation of aesthetic eye, development of creativity, build up of formative ability and education of human nature, etc could keep identity of the Oriental fine arts education at various modern fine arts.

This study was designed to investigate the possibility that the optimization problem solving activities based on the instrumented CAS can have an influence on the sequence of mathematics curriculum in secondary mathematics education. Some optimization problem solving activities based on CAS were constructed and executed to eleventh grade(the penultimate year of Korean high school) 7 students for nine class hours. They have experienced using CAS in mathematics class for three months, but never learned calculus. The data which consists of classroom observations(audio and video taped) and post-unit interviews with students were analyzed. In the analysis, with CAS, students can highly deal with the applied optimization problems made up of calculus, cubic equation, solution of radical equation, and graph analysis which never learned. This result shows CAS may have an influence on the sequence of mathematics curriculum in secondary mathematics education.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the hedonistic motives experienced by consumers in the apparel buying process. We carried out in-depth interviews by 32 women living in Pusan and to examine the hedonistic motives related to the apparel buying process. It was conducted and analysed by the Spradley's developmental research method.The results showed that the hedonistic motives in apparel buying process, consisted of four components at least, such as Symbolism, Conformity, Distinction, and Impulsiveness. Symbolism represented the social-psychological aspects related to the apparel buying process, such as occupation, role, and self-image etc. Conformity in the apparel buying process was usually influenced by mass-media, and companions. Consumers had strong needs of distintion for self-actualization and self-esteem in apparel buying process. The impulsiveness in apparel buying process were related to the antecedent moods, affection, tastes, price, display, and sales person or accompanied friends. We found that the hedonistic motives in the apparel buying process connected with the emotional responses and were played an important role on the consumer satisfaction in the apparel buying process. They provide informations about hedonistic motives of apparels to consumer behavior researchers and retailers related to apparel products.

In contemporary art, the process of appreciating art works requires the dichotomy between traditional art and New Media Art. This difference can be witnessed in the contrasting ways of appreciating art works; in traditional art, a certain physical and esthetic distance is placed between viewers and works of art, and in New Media Art, art is appreciated by active involvement and communication. In other words, this disparity is based on whether viewers physically involve themselves in the completion of the art works. Perhaps contemporary art can be better understood and appreciated if a single primary keyword takes the center place of art appreciation rather than allowing the dichotomy. Thus, a new approach is welcome, where art appreciation is not adversely affected through such divided means based on the degree of active participation. This is not some new introduction of jargon but the reinterpretation of contemplation, the key word for art appreciation in the past, as the common key word for both conventional art and New Media Art.

Augmented reality(AR) service as one of the representative technologies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution has gotten people's increasing attention. At this time, this study aimed to examine the determinants affecting service satisfaction of the AR-based camera application service by focusing on Naver's service. Several factors that might have influences on satisfaction of the AR-based camera application service were conceived based on the previous literature. And it was tested whether they had influences on satisfaction of the AR-based camera application service or not empirically. The responses of a sample of 312 people who had experienced using Naver's service were collected by means of an online survey and they were analyzed employing a hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this research indicated that gender as one of demographic variable, perceived interactivity, aesthetic value, trend following motivation as an extrinsic motivation and playfulness as an intrinsic motivation have significant influences on the service satisfaction of the AR-based camera application service. The results in this study have meanings since they can be used as references for AR service providers to develop more satisfactory AR services.

In information system research. there has been a strong interest in developing the user-centered interface. Interface metaphors have been regarded as a user friendly device of the information retrieval systems. This study is to discover overall opinions about metaphors and to evaluate the usability of metaphors used in the homepages and retrieval interfaces of academic and public libraries. It is found that some metaphors cause users to confuse because they are similar each others or don\`t have unique meaning and because some have weak relationship between texts and images of metaphors. It is necessary to develop a metaphor model suitable for the a specific interface. This study proposes to develop functional metaphors which can help users easily understand how to operate and remember the procedures, and which are based in user\`s knowledge and experiences. The organizational metaphors of a virtual community also will be considered as a new type of retrieval interfaces.

This is the one concept of the Korea paintings which defines the korea Art sprite. The line of korea painting is very important. It is impressions, korea artist had mastered the difficult art line of representing movement. That offers the important motive, that is discovery of Identity. this korea painting's line is like to meditation. To meditate is to think and ponder about the same holy truth for many hours on end, to fix an idea in one's mind and to look at it from all sides without letting go of it. That is the purpose behind the greatest of the korean landscape paintings Futhermore that is the purpose Shui-Mo paintings. This is the most important. What the korean value most highly in art. There is something wonderful in this restraint of Korea art, in its deliberate limitation to a few simple motifs of nature. But today, anyone did not interested in this motif. So that Shui-Mo paintings did not concerned too. Therefore, we consider it childish to look for details in pictures and then to compare them with the real world. We masters to acquire such a facility in the handling of brush and ink that write down their vision while their inspiration was still fresh.
