The Effect of Expanded Servicescape on Relationship Quality and Chinese Consumer's Repurchasing Intentions (확장된 서비스스케이프가 관계품질 및 재구매의도에 미치는 영향 -중국 소비자를 대상으로-)

  • The satisfaction of customers, who are in a servicescape, will be subject to many environment stimulations. In particularly, in the hospitality industry such as restaurants service experience for customer is very important. Thus, not only the stylistic elements but also the social and socially symbolic elements. So this paper expands Bitner's servicescape framework by conceptualizing the existence of a expanded servicescape. The expanded servicescape has three important dimensions, which is the physical, the social and the socially symbolic. Structural modeling largely supports the hypothesized framework and the results about the relationship between expanded servicescape factors, relationship quality(satisfaction, trust, commitment) and repurchase are summarized as follows. And this study utilizes a questionnaire survey to gather data regarding consumers' perceptions by using expanded servicescape. First, the analysis proved that except comfort the physical dimensions which including comfort, convenience, aesthetics caused a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Second, social dimensions which including appearance, etiquette and professionalism caused a positive impact on customer trust. Third, except community symbolic dimensions which including nostalgia, connection to culture caused a positive impact on customer commitment. Forth, it proved that expected relationship quality(customer satisfaction, trust, commitment) caused a positive impact on repurchase behavior.

  • Humans are influenced by economic factors, physical environment factors, social and environmental factors, influenced by the media. In particular, the occurrence of the crime for fear of crime due to the human activities of the area has reduced. Fear of crime inflienced by direct victim of a crime, disorder of the surrounding environment, and indirect victims of crime. Therefore, in order to reduce their fears about crime in the private security through crime prevention and. About the factors affecting their fears about crime in the actual selection of the private security and private security activities in order to solve these problems through crime prevention, through this study will be described. In this study, we randomly select the survey was in August 2011, as detached house in Seoul and Daegu. As a result, the fear of crime fears about crime were influenced directly or indirectly by factors of private security selection.

A Comparative Study of Restaurant Customers' Waiting Time in a Quasi-experimental Setting (유사실험설계에 의한 레스토랑 고객의 대기시간 비교연구)

  • In recognition of the significance of waiting time in restaurant management, a quasi-experimental design was employed to measure the gap between actual and perceived waiting time in a real restaurant setting. In particular, this study focused on a comparison of Americans and Koreans to explore gender and culture differences in customer waiting behaviors. The results indicated that compared to American women, Korean women are more tolerant of waiting, and reported perceived waiting time as much longer than actual waiting time. However, there are no gender differences in both cultures. It is anticipated that managers will be able to adjust their operational strategies based on these results.

  • Over the last ten years, media convergence and multiple platform expansion have affected the ways that people watch conventional television. In the post-TV era, the growing use of the Internet and mobile multi-media devices, such as smart phones, as well as the availability of abundant television content, allows television consumption to be more personalized, diversified, and linked with various media activities, especially social media uses. This study attempts to examine how television viewing experiences have been transformed with the development of the trans-media uses. Based on Walter J. Ong's concept of relation-ism, which posits that new media transform the meanings and relevance of old media rather than making old media obsolete, this study will pay particular attention to how the cultural meanings of television viewing have been redefined in the post-TV era. For the examination, this study has looked at concrete cases of the television viewing experiences of 29 young people in their twenties. Based on in-depth interview data, this study discusses the newly emerging characteristics of television viewing, its temporal and spatial experiences, and the significance of television as a medium and as a social place.

Exploring the Possibility of Introducing Modern Physics into Elementary School Science Curriculum (초등학교 과학 교육과정에 현대 물리 도입 가능성 탐색)

  • This study explored the possibility of introducing modern physics into the elementary school science curriculum. The study discussed the need of introducing modern physics to elementary school students and examined the results of certain projects and studies on teaching modern physics to elementary school students. Furthermore, this study proposes several teaching and learning techniques to introduce modern physics into the elementary school science curriculum. Modern physics can be linked to various everyday situations experienced by students and can increase their interest and curiosity in science. Additionally, introducing modern physics to elementary school students who are yet to establish a background on the classical view of nature can help them build a new perspective. Recently, several global projects to introduce modern physics at the elementary level have also reported positive results regarding the increase in student understanding and interest in modern physics. The study briefly proposed specific topics and teaching and learning techniques that could be suitable for the elementary school level. These proposals are expected to advance discussions on the possibility of introducing modern physics. However, appropriate follow-up studies are warranted to confirm the possibility and effectiveness of this initiative.

  • This study aimed to identify that the physical environment of a food service company has influenced on the perceived service quality, menu quality and customer satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of this study, it reviewed the theoretical background about the physical environment, the perceived service quality, the perceived menu quality and customer satisfaction. Moreover, this study conducted a corresponding empirical analysis. For the empirical analysis, a questionnaire was given to a total of 275 regular restaurant customers at Busan area. The results of the empirical analysis were shown as follows. 1) The components of physical environment of a service company are the attractiveness, cleanliness, space & convenience and the ambient factor of physical environment. 2) For the attractiveness of the physical environment, cleanliness and the ambience factors of the physical environment have influenced on the perceived service quality and menu quality. 3) The perceived service quality has influence on the perceived the menu quality. 4) The perceived service quality and the menu quality have influence on the customer satisfaction.

  • 현대 건축은 시공 기술과 재료생산 및 개발의 발전을 바탕으로 점차적으로 투명성을 띄게 되었다. 이러한 건축적 투명성은 재료나 기술적인 발전도 많은 영향이 있었으나 그 보다 사용자들의 공간적 인지와 요구에 맞춰 생성되었다고 볼 수 있다 본 논문은 도미니크 페로의 프로젝트를 바탕으로 건축 공간적 투명성의 근본적 요소들을 분석하여 프로젝트에 나타난 공간적 구획과 인지에 대해 알아보았다. 도미니크 페로는 투명성을 건축적 구축방법 및 표현방법으로 사용하는 것으로 나타났고, 건축물이 하나의 고립된 물체로 보기 보다는 대지와 건축물의 구분이 불분명하여 공간적인 경험이 건축물과 대지의 경험을 넘나들게 만들어 진 것을 볼 수 있다. 실내공간의 투명성은 공간 구획에서 표현이 되었는데, 도미니크 페로의 대부분의 프로젝트에는 매우 간단하고 개방된 구획을 추구한 것을 미뤄 볼 때 실내 공간구획과 외부와의 밀접한 관계를 동시에 설계한 것을 알 수 있었다. 공간적으로나 표피적인 투명도가 높은 공간의 사용하는 사용자의 생활패턴이나 공간적 인지에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았을 때, 개방된 공간이나 공간적 노출에 의식하지 않고 자연스럽게 적응하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 현대건축 공간에 나타나는 투명성은 물리적인 영향보다는 사용자의 공간인식과 시각적 인지에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다.

  • 개인의 경험을 통해 얻어지는 외부의 물리적 자극에 대한 복합적인 감성을 측정.분석하여 공학적으로 처리함으로서 인간이 보다 편리하고 안락한 생활을 영위하도록 하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인간의 오감 즉 시각, 청각, 후각, 미각, 촉각 중 소비자의 구매 욕구에 많은 영향을 주는 시각(색)에 따른 감성상태의 패턴을 분류하기 위해 색채 심리를 다치오토마타 모델을 이용하여 입력 이벤트와 상태 사이의 관계를 활용하여 감성을 처리할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 인간의 심리 상태를 학습할 수 있도록 오토마타의 입력 값(색)에 따른 상태(감성상태)의 변화를 신경망 모델로 구현함으로서 색채에 대한 감성을 처리하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of educational environment on job on the educational satisfaction and recommendation toward the educational service among the students who are major in cooking and confectionery bakery in Busan area. In addition, current student conducted to perform the moderating effect of part-time condition. In order to achieve the purpose of current study total 299 students of 2-year college students were employed and it was educational statistically analysed using SPSS 20.0 program. Three-step hierarchical regression analysis was employed to check whether the major part-time job experience had a moderating impact or not. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the educational environment and educational satisfaction, and the adjustment effect was partially adopted in the educational environment. Eurthermore, the part-time condition has positive influence on the relationship between environmental element and educational1 satisfaction, so the moderating effect was verified. These results will be contributed to provide marketing strategy to improve the educational environment service for students as well as related foodservice industry.

  • When a product is designed, user's requirements should be well analyzed and applied to the design so that the psychological and aesthetic factors of a product can be accurately conveyed to consumers. The essence of product development is to analyze the changes in the purchasing tendency of consumers and the needs of times, find out user experiences to apply to a design, and establish the objective of product development that well considers those. Designing should be recognized as one that designs even the sensitivity and experience created in the relationship with users, beyond the conventional notion of design that it draws the physical form of a product. As the subjects that design should consider have expanded like this, it has become important that today's design provides a new experience as well as simply develops formative elements based on the functions of an object. As a result, it becomes impossible to accomplish such objective only with the traditional design process that existing designers have stuck to so far. In this respect, this study is aimed to draw out a system and methodology for a user-oriented design process so that design can provide expanded experience to users from product form, applied material, and service.
