Using the perspective of cultural philosophy, this paper aims to consider the possibility that the future metaverse will be developed into a cultural space for human beings. The redirection of the approach to understanding the metaverse space is necessary. And, this paper critically reviews the dangers of understanding the dichotomous space of reality and virtuality, and mobilized humanistic imagination through the film Ready Player One. Ultimately, the space the future metaverse grows into will be a cultural space run by both homo fabre and homo ludens.

홍보관, 영상관, 야외공연장 등 체험하며 소통할 수 있는 해양문화공간으로 조성하여 지역의 체계적이고 독자적인 문화콘텐츠를 연구하며, 지역 특성에 맞는 스토리텔링을 개발하고 지역경제 활성화와 등대만의 고유한 해양문화 관광 콘텐츠를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

This study examines the multi-functionality of the cultural facilities and explores the architectural characteristics of cultural facilities in city environment. For this purpose, 1 examine the major cultural facilities in USA and Singapore. Recently, the inter-cultural communication methods have been diversified and the cultural facilities need to be designed to effectively accommodate the public's interests in these activities. It is also necessary to reexamine cultural facilities' functions in terms of how the multi-functionality facilities reflect the surrounding environment. This study also sheds a new light on the meaning of the relationships between cultural activity, and the cultural facility design. For this, I primarily look at the various design categories of cultural buildings and their main functions. Finally, I demonstrate how both cultural activity and cultural facility design elements are embodied in the city environment.

대한민국에 근대적인 항로표지가 처음으로 개설된 이래 지난 2003년에는 대한민국 등대 100주년을 맞이하여 '유인등대 해양문화공간 조성계획'을 수립하고 유인등대 시설보완 및 개방, 등대 박물관 확장 개관 등을 실시하였다. 이러한 다각도의 노력은 폭발적인 성과를 거두어 2001년 한 해 동안 유인등대를 다녀간 방문객이 공식적으로 기록된 것만 300만 명이 넘게 되었다. 이후 대한민국의 등대는 40여 개의 유인등대와 60여 개의 무인등대가 널리 알려지게 되었고 문화적 가치를 인정받아 현재 23개의 등대가 등대문화유산으로 지정되었으며 지속적으로 발굴하고 있다. 대한민국의 등대가 많은 국민들의 관심 속에서 방문객이 지속적으로 늘어나면서 특히 유인등대는 해양문화공간으로서의 기능이 요구되었고 향후로도 더욱 가속화될 전망이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 대한민국 유인등대의 친수문화적 특성을 체계적으로 살펴보고 그에 따라 해양문화공간의 조성 방향을 적절하게 설정할 수 있도록 하기 위한 기본적인 지침을 설정하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

This paper starts by exploring the problems of public education under knowledge based society. It then analyzes the questionnaire about the function of school library media center as a culture space. The results show that school library media center should take a role as repertory appreciation center of various arts, recreation center, and interactive community.

홍대 앞에 급부상하고 있는 북카페가 어떤 문화적 특성을 갖고 있는지 살펴보고 강원도의 '감자꽃 스튜디오', 서울의 '광장시장'과 '통인시장'의 변화를 통해 도심 내 효율적인 문화 공간 활성화 방안에 대해 살펴본다. 문화 공간은 보편적으로 시민들이 문화예술을 감상하거나 생활 속에서 문화적 산물을 직접 생산, 교육할 수 있는 장소 또는 시설로 인식하고 있다. 북카페의 특징인 복합 문화 공간을 잘 살려 '지역 커뮤니티'의 공간으로 발전되도록 한다. 북카페의 활성화 방안으로 지역문화와 잘 연계한 강원도 평창의 '감자꽃 스튜디오'를 예를 들어 비교해 본다. 문화 공간은 시대에 맞게 필요에 따라 변모해야 한다. 문화 공간의 다양한 방법에 대해 연구해보기로 한다.

This article aims to understand the meanings of urban regeneration utilizing culture and art focusing on a case of the waterfront development in Yokohama, and consider the role of culture and art playing in the cultural city strategy within the revitalization of regional cultures as a main intention by means of interrogation into the cultural policy and its practice in the waterfront development of a sea-port city. Yokohama has proceeded successfully the waterfront development through the creation of culture and art space by using the characterful and attractive urban scape and regional sources around the waterfront. In the cultural policy of 'the Creative City, Yokohama' as a part of 'Culture and Art Creatvie City' strategy of Japan, 'National Art Park plan' as a space planning policy realizes the regeneration of the waterfront through the creation of culture and art space. The examination on the basic intention of this venture and its practice helps comprehend a role of culture and art playing in the waterfront development of a sea-port city and shows the direction that the cultural policy would take in the waterfront regeneration.

일제강점기 부산의 연안공간은 경제, 사회적 시설이 집중되는 중요한 공간으로 인식되어 왔으며, 이로 인하여 부산의 연안공간에는 역사적 가치를 가지고 있는 역사문화자원이 산재해 있다. 하지만 부산 연안에 위치한 역사문화자원에 대한 발굴과 활용이 제대로 이루어지지 못해 역사문화자원이 사장되는 경우가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 부산 연안공간에 위치한 역사문화자원 중 아직까지 그 가치를 제대로 평가받지 못하고 있는 가덕도 외양포 지역 역사문화자원을 대상으로 연안지역의 특성을 고려한 보존활용계획을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 국내외 사례조사 및 가덕도 외양포의 역사문화적 현황을 면밀하게 조사하여 역사문화자원의 보존활용가이드라인을 수립하고 지역주민의 의견 수렴을 바탕으로 역사문화자원을 활용한 연안공간개발계획을 제사하였다.

본 연구는 미국의 건축 및 조경공간 형성에 미친 일본문화를 파악하기 위한 기초연구로서, 일본문화 및 공간디자인의 특성과 미국건축 및 조경에 나타난 그 면모에 관한 것이다. 1853년 미국과 일본의 문화교류를 시작으로 일본의 예술과 건축이 미국에 소개되었고, 특히 1893년 Chicago에서 열렸던 Wor1ds Columbian Exposition에서 선보인 일본의 건축물은 당시 미국의 건축가들에게 영향을 주었다. 그후 일본의 공간디인은 건축뿐만 아니라 조경분야에도 영향을 미쳐 현재 미국의 공간디자인을 구성하고 있는 특성 가운데 하나로 자리잡고 있다. 필자는 미국의 공간디자인에 영향을 준 일본문화의 실재를 파악하기 위하여 한국과 중국의 문화와 구별되는 일본만의 독특한 문화적 특성을 고찰해보고, 미국 현대건축의 선구자인 Frank Lloyd Wright, Greece and Greene, Philip Johnson, Richard J. Neutra의 작품 및 조경디자이너인 Ethelbert E. Furlong, James C. Rose의 작품속에 나타난 일본식 공간디자인의 면모를 살펴보았다. 장래 이 분야의 연구에서는 미국문화의 특성이 고찰되어 미국과 일본의 두 문화가 비교 파악되기 위한 개념적 근거가 마련되고, 일본식 공간디자인이 미국에서 어떻게 이해되고 해석되어졌으며 미국식 공간 디자인으로 전환되었는지 살펴보며, 어떤 이유에서 일본의 공간디자인 양식이 미국의 건축 및 조경분야에서 문화적으로 일본보다 오랜 역사를 지닌 한국과 중국의 공간디자인 양식보다 커다란 영향을 주고 있는지에 관해 이해를 구하는 방향으로 연구가 수행되어야 함을 제안한다.
