Nowadays, librarians try to provide equal services and effective facilities to people with disabilities. According to this context, the current and prospective librarians should have a wide range of knowledges and skills that can identify and understand their patron's needs and information seeking behaviors through disability issues education. This study aims at presenting the advanced directions of the LIS education in order to enhance a librarian's experience and strengthen his/her hand on library services for people with disabilities. The result of the study suggests some directions on disability issues in LIS education in the future.

In the era of knowledge and information society, specialists with a specific concentration are more appreciated than broad knowledge. Therefore, it is a growing trend that universities and departments restructure their vision and plans to foster specialized professionals. While responding to the needs of working libraries and adhering to the basic educational goals, the Programs of the library and information science sector should be flexible to the external changes. In this sense, each university should develop customized curriculum based on its related policies, resources, and surrounding circumstances, with an emphasis on specialization over standardization. This paper discusses how to build specialized education programs in line with specific environments that each university is surrounded with, and by doing so, raise information professionals with specialized concentrations.

This study presents the discourse for academic generation of 'School Library Education Science' based on integrative research between library & information science and education science. The study discusses research fields and themes of 'School Library Education Science' as the base to define the roles of the school library and of teacher-librarians. It contributes to upgrading the research level of the school library. The research field in the school library analyzes and integrates both aspects of library & information science and of education science. The developed theories of 'School Library Education Science' present Library-Based Education and Library-Based Learning, Base Connectionism, Base Integrationism, Top456 Approach, Curriculum-Based Approach, Viewpoint Approach, and Education of Information and the Library as a Subject Matter. The trends in research of the school library analyze the thesis numbers of academic journals. The future research challenges of 'School Library Education Science' discuss the educational basics of the school library, operational management, electronic school libraries, and educational activities. Conclusively, this study analyzes the current situation of the school library & of teacher-librarians in Korea, and provides its solution by the aspects of 'School Library Education Science'.

The aims of this study are to investigate the influence of the newly developed cataloging rule, RDA on the LIS cataloging education and to propose Korean LIS cataloging curriculum in a time of RDA. This study specially intended to examine the coexistence of the AACR and RDA and its implications on the LIS cataloging curricula design in the limited time of the course of study. For this purpose, this study examined the rapidly changing cataloging circumstances and how it affects on the cataloging education in LIS. This study also explored the students' as well as instructors' opinion and demand on cataloging education specially regarding RDA. As a result, this paper designed a cataloging education model including RDA curriculum and it also suggested cataloging syllabus based on the education model.

The purpose of this study presents a model of the integrated online library service with LMS (Learning Management System). The new library service is called 'Library on Blackboard' which was developed and implemented by Murray State University Libraries in Murray, Kentucky, USA. This user-centered service with applied information technology has the potential to enhance the quality of the library performance in university libraries. The introduction of the Learning Management System in South Korea has a potential to enhance the education environment and promote new library services. With the emergence of new information technologies and growing popularity in online classes and distance education programs, the importance and usage of Learning Management Systems in higher education has increased.

This paper investigats the state of the art of the school library media specialist(SLMS)'s certification in the United States. The content includes development of the SLMS certification, certification requirements, titles, preparatory education programs especially accredited by ALA and NCATE, personnel standards and regulations of states. The basic certification requirements are teacher certification and/or MLIS(MLS), but varying from state to state. Personnel standards are regulated by the Education Department of states, otherwise regional associations of colleges and schools. Nineteen states have the standards and three regional associations among six have very specified ones. The paper also analyzes NBPTS for Library Media and discussions on '65% Solution' which is an education reform movement affecting school library seriously.

Recently, content using VR technology in various fields is gradually increasing, and the technology is also rapidly spreading. Against this background, public libraries also need to provide services using VR technology according to the flow of the times. Therefore, this study drew application points through the investigation and analysis of domestic and foreign public libraries where VR programs are underway. And based on this, a final proposal is prepared after planning and reviewing VR-based educational and cultural programs in public libraries. VR-based educational and cultural programs introduced can be used as basic data for planning VR-based cultural programs in public library.

Media is the medium that impart information beyond time and space. They refer to characters or images that serve as means to convey information. From old media such as newspapers and television to new media such as the internet and smart phones, media has developed cumulatively with the development of technology. The goal of media education is to develop the understanding of the properties of media, the ability of critical interpretation of media and selective acceptance. Furthermore it is to cultivate the ability to express meaning creatively and communicate through media. I carried out 'the research of Korean classroom instruction models based on media' with Korean language and social studies education researchers from July 2016 to December 2016. This study is a fundamental study of the project. Based on 58 research papers published between 2006 and 2016, research trends and factors were extracted through literature studies related to media-based science learning. The Result has shown that the studies related to media-based science learning is on the rise, and more than half of all researchers studied about elementary school students. The studies were divided into research on students, research on teachers and pre-service teachers, research on smart devices or media contents, and research on the development of digital textbooks. Among the four variables, there were many researches related to students' cognitive and affective development, and the development and application of media contents.

This study aims at analyzing the research trend in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subject since 1973, which is the beginning year in research in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subjects, up to the present year of 2010. We also try to provide explicit directions and suggestions for future researches. A total of 98 studies, including master's and doctoral theses, were collected through RISS(Research Information Sharing Service), KISS(Koreanstudies Information Service System), and DBPIA(special database for domestic research information). Three researchers reviewed them using analytic method. The results were as follows. Of the researches analyzed, 2 studies(2.04%) were in 1970's. The researches in Electricity, Electronics, and Communication Subjects were not actively performed until 1996. Since then, 92.86% of total studies have been done so far and the number of research activities in these subjects are shown to be continuously growing. 50 studies were related with Curriculum and instruction area. Design/Development of Instruction Material area was the most popular topic, and Education Assessment area the least. Research design was mainly descriptive, and studies in academic journals were more than the dissertations. Research mostly focused on the students and the teachers as subjects. University was the main research agency where studies were carried out.

This study aims to analyze the current state of the operation of the information disclosure system in the judiciary of Korea to identify problems and suggest ways to provide more effective and substantive requests for information disclosure in the future. To this end, we reviewed the court's information disclosure claims process from 2007 to 2017 using the data published in the judicial yearbook and the data charged to the court information disclosure system of Korea. Results showed the different processes according to the person in charge, the high withdrawal rate, the complaint response rate, and the trend of the information nonexistence as the common problems. To solve these issues, we proposed to improve the various claims system, strengthen the education of the information disclosure claimant, publish the manual, and expand the provision and original text of information in advance.
