User intention-awareness system for goal-oriented context-awareness service (목표지향적인 상황인식 서비스를 위한 사용자 의도 인식 시스템)

  • 현재 우리생활은 언제 어디서나 네트워크에 접속하여 통신할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경화 되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 상황인식 서비스는 의료, 여행, 가정, 교육 등 사회 전 분야에 걸쳐 응용될 수 있어 사회 전반에 걸쳐 영향을 주고 있다. 기존의 대부분의 상황인식 시스템의 연구들은 센서로부터 입력된 주변 환경 정보를 기반으로 사용자에게 적합한 서비스 제공에 중점을 두고 있다. 이로써 환경정보와 별개로 사용자가 궁극적으로 원하는 분야에 상황인식 시스템을 적용하기 위해서는 서비스 부합되지 않은 여러 요소가 존재하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요소를 착안하여 사용자의 의도를 포함한 상황인식 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 지능형 홈 도메인 환경에서 시간에 따라 변화하는 사용자의 행위 정보를 기반하여 사용자가 향후 궁극적으로 원하는 의도를 예측 할 수 있는 시스템으로 되어있다. 또한 여러개의 작은 행위에 따른 사용자의 의도가 모여 보다 큰 사용자의 의도를 파악하는 기법을 정의하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 비디오 영상데이터로부터 인간의 행동패턴의 인식기술 및 상황인식 기법을 소개하고 이를 활용한 실용적 응용으로서 지능형 감시시스템을 제안한다. 순차적 영상신호에서 형태기반의 정적 특징과 목표물의 움직임 요소를 측정한 동적 특징을 결합한 형태의 특징 표현 및 추출기법과 행동패턴 및 상황패턴에 대한 인식 모델을 제시하고 구현한다. 모듈구조의 시스템에서 영상처리 모듈과 패턴인식 모듈은 특징추출 및 인식과정을 수행하며, 감시영상에 대한 상황판단 기능은 데이터베이스 모듈과 연동하여 효과적인 검색기능과 경보기능 등을 지원한다. 이러한 기능은 기존의 시스템에서 운영자의 지속적인 감시작업과 상황판단 작업을 보조 또는 대행하여 수행할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 데이터저장 공간을 획기적으로 줄이고 부수적으로 효율적인 영상의 조회기능 및 추적기능 등의 유용한 인터페이스를 지원한다.

Development of Transportation Indicators for Green Growth Based on a Questionnaire Survey for Transportation Experts (녹색성장 교통부문 지표개발 교통 전문가 설문조사결과 분석)

  • In this study, the indicators for evaluating the level of green growth in transportation are proposed. The authors reviewed the existing philosophies such as sustainable development and eco-efficiency and explained the differences between the philosophies and green growth. The planning hierarchy and indicator framework are proposed and the idea of indicators is also introduced. In order to decide the weighting value for objectives and targets, a questionnaire survey for transportation experts was conducted. The survey results show that low-carbon/environmentally-friendly development is the most important objective. In addition, the results reveal that transportation experts do not fully understand the concept of green growth and cannot differentiate the concept of green growth from that of sustainable development and eco-efficiency.

Comparison of Perception on Science Teacher Preparation Courses by Beginner and Experienced Science Teachers (과학교사양성과정에 대한 심층면담을 통한 경력과학교사들과 초임과학교사들의 인식 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate beginner and experienced Korean science teachers' perceptions about the science teacher preparation courses from which they graduated, and to compare them. The study was conducted as a qualitative study using in-depth interviews. For the study, interview questions were developed by the authors based on the questionnaire of 'The IMPPACT project' that was being conducted in America. The interview tool includes questions about their experience of science subject matter content knowledge, science pedagogical content knowledge, and general pedagogical content knowledge in their preparation courses. For the interview, seven beginning science teachers, less than five years of teaching experience, and five experienced science teachers, more than five years of teaching experience, were sampled from secondary schools in Korea. The research results are as follows: First, most of the beginner and experienced science teachers perceived that the teaching methods in the classes of science subject matter were not good model for teaching science in their secondary school, because they were not diverse enough and entailed mostly knowledge transfer just through lecture without teacher-student interaction. Second, most of the beginner science teachers perceived that they were affected positively by the teaching strategies and evaluation methods in the classes for science pedagogical subject matter and they could apply those strategies and methods in their current science teaching. Lastly, most of the beginner and experienced science teachers perceived that general pedagogical subject matter is important and prerequisite for science teaching in their schools, but the courses that they experienced at their university were not appropriate for their current teaching.

Case Study on Standards Management: Focused on Small and Mid-sized Businesses (기업의 표준 경영 사례 연구: 국내 중소중견기업을 중심으로)

  • Standards offer numerous opportunities and benefits not only to provide effective and efficient way for business goals internally, but also to increase company's competitiveness externally. However SMBs can't get have benefits from standards management due to lack of resources and awareness. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of standard management in business hierarchy from SMBs' cases leading to raising the awareness and providing strategic implications for standards management. The utilization of Standards management was investigated by adopting Anthony framework and Miles and Snow typology targeting SMBs which have awarded the World Standards Day Prize. The results of case study indicated that standards can be used as not only a strategic tool for achieving business goal and but also an effective way for raising brand awareness in global market. This study has originality and practical value in that it enhances the awareness and provides strategic implications for standards management in global business environment.

The Effect of Repeated Mariner Training Using a Ship-Handling Simulator System on Ship Control (선박조종시뮬레이터를 이용한 반복 항해 훈련이 선박 조종에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of mariner's situation awareness(SA) training on navigation performance using a full mission ship-handling simulator. For this purpose, the mariners were trained in terms of various aspects of SA. Independent variables such as risk levels of ship-to-ship collision, navigational route types of 'target ship(TS)', and number of ships around the own ship(OS) were systematically varied, and dependent variables of closest point of approach(CPA) between TS and OS, number of collision, types of collision-avoidance strategy were measured The results can be summarized as followings. First, training on mariner's SA appeared to induce improved performances in various aspects of ship handling. Second, mariners in the routine navigation situation where TS had priority following maritime rules seemed to suffer to prepare collision avoidance when the TS altered its route. However, this tendency greatly reduced after the training These results suggest the benefit of mariner's SA training on maritime safety.

Application of Multi-Frame Based Super-Resolution Algorithm for a Color Recognition Enhancement for the UAV (복수영상기반 초해상도 색상인식능력향상 알고리즘의 무인기 적용)

  • This paper describes the application of Multi-frame based super-resolution method to enhance resolution of image information from the UAV, and the improvement of UAV's ground target recognition ability. To verify this algorithm, we designed a flight/ground control system, and the UAV, and then the algorithm was validated using the UAV system with ground target. As a result of the comparison between the pre-applied image and post-applied one shows that the RMSE is from 0.0677 to 0.0315, NRMSE is from 7.4030% to 3.5726%, PSNR is from 23.3885dB to 30.0036dB, and SSIM is from 0.6996 to 0.8948. Through these results, we validate this study can enhance the resolution of UAV's image using Multi-frame based super-resolution algorithm.

Scientific Governance through Public Participation: Historical Epistemology of Divergent Positions in the Participatory Turn of STS (시민참여를 통한 과학기술 거버넌스: STS의 '참여적 전환' 내의 다양한 입장에 대한 역사적 인식론)

  • This paper first aims to reveal that, in the current trend of 'the participatory turn' in STS, there are divergent positions subtly different from each other, and that the understanding of these divergent positions can be significant to study the differences, similarities and interfaces between the various models of scientific governance discussed in STS and those in risk governance developed by risk studies. Secondly, this paper shows that theoretical differences among STS scholars on scientific governance and public participation goes back to the 1970s and 1980s, during which they first laid down the conceptual basis of STS. All ideas and theories have their own historicity. This article is about the 'historical epistemology' of the participatory turn of STS, and is to seek 'political epistemology' that can become a shared vision of STS.

A 2D FLIR Image-based 3D Target Recognition using Degree of Reliability of Contour (윤곽선의 신뢰도를 고려한 2차원 적외선 영상 기반의 3차원 목표물 인식 기법)

  • In this paper we propose a 2D FLIR image-based 3D target recognition system which performs group-to-ground vehicle recognition using the target contour and its degree of reliability extracted from FLIR image. First we extract target from background in FLIR image. Then we define contour points of the extracted target which have high edge gradient magnitude and brightness value as reliable contour point and make reliable contour by grouping all reliable contour points. After that we extract corresponding reliable contours from model contour image and perform comparison between scene and model features which are calculated by DST(discrete sine transform) of reliable contours. Experiment shows that the proposed algorithm work well and even in case of imperfect target extraction it showed better performance then conventional 2D contour-based matching algorithms.

  • Recently, Unmanned vehicle and Wearable Technology using iot research is being carried out. The unmanned vehicle is the result of it technology. Robots, autonomous navigation vehicle and obstacle avoidance, data communications, power, and image processing, technology integration of a unmanned vehicle or an unmanned robot. The final goal of the unmanned vehicle manual not autonomous by destination safely and quickly reaching. This paper managed to cover One of the key skills of unmanned vehicle is to image processing. Currently battery technology of unmanned vehicle can drive for up to 1 hours. Therefore, we use the Raspberry Pi 3 to reduce power consumption to a minimum. Using the Raspberry Pi 3 and to develop an image recognition system. The goal is to propose a system that recognizes all the objects in the image received from the camera.
