Verification of Thermal Characteristics and Overturning Moment for Lateral Vibration System (수평가진 시스템의 열 특성 및 모멘트 성능 검증)

  • Shaker system is used to simulate the vibration from the launch environment. The vibration tests are performed in the vertical and lateral direction. For the lateral vibration test, the slip table system is used with shaker system. For the latest large satellite, vibration test adaptor is made of the steel. But slip table of lateral vibration is made of magnesium, so there is big difference of thermal expansion ratio between slip table and vibration test adaptor. This paper encompasses the following items; verification process of thermal characteristics and overturning moment and a solution for lateral vibration test with steel vibration test adaptor.

  • The objective of this study is to identify the advantages of composite materials and to investigate the behavior of the anisotropic symmetric laminated cylindrical shell structures. To analyze the anisotropic symmetric laminated cylindrical shell structures, the finite difference technique. that consists of forward, central and backward difference, is introduced. In this study, the degree of freedom consists of three displacements and, especially, two moments except twisting moment. It has the advantage of improving the accuracy for calculating the moments. All four edges are assumed to be simply supported. From the numerical results, it is proved that the finite difference technique can be used efficiently to analyze the anisotropic symmetric laminated cylindrical shells and gives a guide in deciding how to make use of the fiber angle the anisotropic symmetric laminated cylindrical shells.

  • Unsteady propeller blade forces arising from shaft inclination have been found to be an important contribution tn total blade forces. The position of the wake relative to a blade oscillates with the first blade frequency, thus giving rise to unsteady blade forces which is significant relative to the forces produced directly by flow inclination. In order to find a wake geometry due to shaft inclination, a non-axisymmetric wake model is developed and applied to a specific case, which has experimental values. Predicted cavity shapes and unsteady forces acting on the blades of an inclined shaft propeller are compared to those predicted by other numerical methods, as well as those measured in experiments.

  • 본 연구에서는 화강토 지반상의 자립식 diaphragm wall의 거동을 연구하기 위하여 벽체의 근입깊이비, 지하수위 및 굴착조건(연속 및 단계굴착)을 변화시키면서 원심모형시럼을 수행하였다. 원심모형실험시 지반굴착은 흙과 동일한 밀도로 혼합된 zine chloride 용액이 배수되도록 밸브를 조작하여 실시하였으며, 굴착에 의해 발생되는 지반의 변형괴 벽체의 변위 및 휨모멘트를 시간경과에 따라 측정하였다. 실험결과, 벽체의 근입깊이비가 증가함에 따라 벽체의 휨모멘트는 증가하는 반면, 굴착과정동안 배면측에서의 간극수압 감소속도는 감소하였다. 최종 굴착단계에서 굴착후 시간경과에 따른 침하량은 굴착과정중의 침하?에 비해 5~7% 정도를 나타내었다. 최대표면침하량과 벽체변위를 굴착깊이로 정규화한 결과 최대 침하량은 벽체 변위량의 0.8~1.2배9평균0.91배)사이에 분포하였다. 굴착깊이로 전규화한 벽체변위와 근입깊이와의 관계는 지수함수식으로 제안하였다. 파괴면은 직선적인 형태로 파괴면내의 배면측 지반은 벽체를 향하여 하향의 변위를 일으키면서 벽체의 회전에 의해 파괴되었으며, 퐈괴면의 각도는 66~72.5$^{\circ}$정도로 이론적인 파괴면의 각도보다 크게 평가되었다.

Automatic Recognition Algorithm for Linearly Modulated Signals Under Non-coherent Asynchronous Condition (넌코히어런트 비동기하에서의 선형 변조신호 자동인식 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, an automatic recognition algorithm for linearly modulated signals like PSK, QAM under noncoherent asynchronous condition is proposed. Frequency, phase, and amplitude characteristics of digitally modulated signals are changed periodically. By using this characteristics, cyclic moments and higher order cumulants based features are utilized for the modulation recognition. Hierarchial decision tree method is used for high speed signal processing and totally 4 feature extraction parameters are used for modulation recognition. In the condition where the symbol number is 4,096, the recognition accuracy of the proposed algorithm is more than 95% at SNR 15dB. Also the proposed algorithm is effective to classify the signal which has carrier frequency and phase offset.

  • This study proposes an improvement plan for the evaluation of the bearing capacity and settlement of sewer pipe bases for the improvement of design methods for determining pipe breakage. Under the same conditions, the safety of crushed stone foundation was the lowest. Concrete VR pipe and prefabricated plastic foundations were found to be safe at most excavation depths. The bearing capacity of a rigid pipe foundation was determined by the shape of the foundation, soil conditions, and groundwater, irrespective of the type of foundation. As the depth of the excavation increases, the settlement tends to decrease immediately, and as the diameter of the pipe increases, the settlement tends to increase immediately at the same depth. It is thus reasonable to consider the bearing capacity and the instant settlement amount to solve the problems caused by the settlement of a rigid sewer pipe.

Simplified Formulae for Free Earth Supported Anchored Sheet-Pile Wall (앵커식 자유지지 널말뚝벽의 설계용 간편식)

  • Sheet piles are often used to build continuous walls for the waterfront structures, and also used for some temporary structures, such as the braced cuts. Sheet pile walls may be divided into two basic categories that is cantilever and anchored. Stock(1992) developed an expedient format for determining the depth, maximum bending moment and anchor force of sheet pile wall for cantilever and free earth supported anchored wall. But, that is useful only in case that water table exists above the dredge line. In this study, a simplified formulae was developed for the design of the anchored free earth supported sheet pile wall both in sand and clay by solving the derived equations and regression analysis. It can be used whether the ground water table is above or under the dredge line.

Numerical Computation of the Backscattering Coefficients of Rice Fields Using the Impedance Boundary Condition, Moment Method and Monte Carlo Method (임피던스 경계 조건, 모멘트 법과 몬테 카를로 방법을 이용한 논의 산란계수 수치적 계산과 측정 데이터와의 비교)

  • A numerical algorithm for estimating precise backscattering coefficients of rice fields is proposed and its accuracy is verified in this paper. After a bunch of rice plants above water surface is modeled with a bunch of randomly oriented lossy dielectric bodies above an impedance surface and the equivalent volume currents of the lossy dielectrics are computed using the moment method. Then, the scattered fields of a rice field with many bunches are computed with a Monte Carlo method, and consequently the backscattering coefficient of the rice field is computed for various incidence angles and polarizations. Finally, the backscattering coefficient of a rice field is measured at 1.85 GHz using an R-band scatterometer system, and these experimental data are used to verify the numerical algorithm proposed in this paper. It is found that the numerical computation results agree well with the measurement data.

  • Structural analysis used to evaluate the load carrying capacity of a bridge should implement behavioral characteristics similar to the actual behaviors of the structure through loading tests, but it is not feasible in many cases due to the behavioral characteristics of points, inadequate modeling method in structural analysis, errors in loading tests, changes in strength and rigidity resulting from cross-sectional damage, etc. This problem can be more serious if bridge bearings have been damaged or were not installed and, consequently, the bearings do not function properly. This study produced results similar to actual behaviors using a structural analysis model built with support moment derived from the difference $\Delta{\delta}$ between measured deflection obtained by confining the cantilever segment of a solid beam and calculated deflection under a unrestrained condition. When the load carrying capacity of a bridge in operation was evaluated in consideration of the confinement condition of supports, the result was 15~19% lower than load carrying capacity calculated by the existing method.

Recognition Technology for Multiple Objects of Asterias Amurensis Using Region Central Moment and Long Line Features (영역 중심 모멘트와 장선 특징을 이용한 아무르불가사리 다중개체 인식 기법)

  • This study is going to suggest the technology to recognize a starfish by judging various starfish images. In case of recognition of single objects of the asterias amurensis, a starfish can be judged by using concave features and short line features but in case of multiple objects, it is impossible to extract the features of a starfish using concave features or short line so that it can't be recognized as a starfish. Accordingly, it is going to suggest the recognition technology using the features such as numbers of standard deviation, relative degree standard deviation and valid deviation of a long line by using the region central moment and a long line of multiple objects. As a result of experiments of the suggested technology, there were cases that recognition failed because the conditions of the standard deviation of a long line or the numbers of valid deviation of the relative degree couldn't satisfy the conditions but around 95% of a high recognition rate was shown.
