Analysis of Trends of Model and Modeling-Related Research in Science Education in Korea (과학교육에서 모델과 모델링 관련 국내 과학 교육 연구 동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the trends of model and modeling-related research in science education from 1989 to 2016 in Korea. Eighty-five (85) models and modeling-related journal articles were extracted from the KCI-listed journals and analyzed according to the criteria such as participants, research fields, research design, methods, data collection and elements of metamodeling knowledge. According to research participants, three out of four (3/4) were studied for students and the rest were for teachers. More than half of the studies for students were conducted with middle and high school students. The research fields of models and modeling-related researches in science education were comprised of earth science, chemistry, biology science, physics and science course. With regards to research design, the highest type is qualitative research and followed by hybrid research and quantitative research. According to research methods, the most numerous researches that were analyzed was the effectiveness of program, which was a developed model and modeling-related research. The analysis from the elements of the metamodeling knowledge showed most of model and modeling-related research utilized for the change of scientific concept or understanding.

  • 이 논문에서는 가압중수형(Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor) 프리스트레스 콘크리트 격납건물의 1/4 축소모델에 대한 극한내압능력과 전반적인 비선형거동에 관한 유한요소 해석을 수행하였다. 가압중수형 격납건물은 원통형 벽체와 돔으로 구성되었고, 4개의 부벽을 갖는다. 유한요소해석을 위해서 상용코드 ABAQUS를 이용하였고, 콘크리트, 철근 및 텐던에 대한 수치모델링을 작성하여 자중과 내압하중을 적용하였고, 텐던의 2% 변형률을 기준으로 극한내압능력을 평가하였다. 이때 사용된 재료모델로 콘크리트는 Concrete Damaged Plasticity 모델을 사용하였고, 철근과 텐던은 Elasto-Plastic 모델을 적용하였다. 유한요소 해석결과 콘크리트의 초기균열 0.41MPa에서 발생하였고, 극한내압은 0.56MPa 정도로 평가되었다.

Analysis of Research Trends in Information Literacy Education Using Keyword Network Analysis and Topic Modeling (키워드 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링을 활용한 정보활용교육 연구 동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the flow of domestic information literacy education research using keyword network analysis and topic modeling and to explore the direction of information literacy education in the future. For this reason, 306 academic papers related to information literacy education published in academic journals of the library and information science field in Korea were chosen. And through the preprocessing process for abstracts of the paper, total keyword appearance frequency, keyword appearance frequency by period, and keyword simultaneous occurrence frequency were analyzed. Subsequently, keyword network analysis analyzed the degree centrality, between centrality, and eigenvector centrality of keywords. Using structural topic modeling analysis, 15 topics -curriculum, information literacy effect, contents of information literacy education, school library education, information media literacy, information literacy ability evaluation index, library anxiety, public library program, health information literacy ability, digital divide, library assisted instruction improvement, research trend, information literacy model, and teacher role-were derived. In addition, the trend of topics by year was analyzed to confirm the change in relative weight by topic. Based on these results, the direction of information literacy education and the suggestions for follow-up research were presented.

  • In this paper, we present a neural network identification and a control of highly complicated nonlinear left ventricular assist device(LVAD) system with a pneumatically driven mock circulation system. Generally, the LVAD system needs to compensate for nonlinearities. It is necessary to apply high performance control techniques. Fortunately, the neural network can be applied to control of a nonlinear dynamic system by learning capability. In this study, we identify the LVAD system with neural network identification(NNI). Once the NNI has learned the dynamic model of the LVAD system, the other network, called neural network controller(NNC), is designed for a control of the LVAD system. The ability and effectiveness of identifying and controlling the LVAD system using the proposed algorithm will be demonstrated by computer simulation.

  • ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) 시스템은 급여, 회계, 인사, 생산, 판매, 물류 등을 포함한 핵심 비즈니스 프로세스를 담고 있는 소프트웨어이다. 인터넷의 등장으로 ERP 시스템이 WEB 기반으로 전환되었고 ERP의 영역도 기업내부에 국한된 것이 아니라 기업간의 거래를 모두 포함하기에 이르렀다. 그러나 ERP 시스템은 회사의 중요한 의사결정 데이터들과 한 Application 안에서 일어나는 Transaction 처리 등의 정보 보안에 대한 취약성을 가지고 있다. 이에 ERP 시스템에도 보안에 대한 필요성이 대두되었으나 ERP 업체들의 대다수는 아직도 구체적인 보안에 대한 방안을 제시하지 않고 있는 실정이다. 결국 비즈니스의 성공도 취약한 기업의 자원을 인증되지 않은 다른 사용자로부터 보호하는 능력에 달려 있으며, 이 연구의 목적은 ERP 시스템의 보안 이슈를 어떻게 다룰 것이며, ERP 보안 요구 사항을 어떻게 모델링 할 것인가에 대한 연구 이다. 현재 나와있는 SAP R/3와 EAGLE ERP의 제품 보안 모델을 비교함으로써 외산 제품과 국산 제품의 보안 요구 사항을 분석 하고, ERP시스템 보안에 대한 고려사항 및 접근 방법을 모델링 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 UML을 이용하여 ERP 시스템 안에서 찾을 수 있는 모든 보안 사항을 점검 하고,UML의 물리적 요소와 논리적 요소를 이용함으로써 ERP 보안을 모델링 하고자 한다. 이 논문을 통하여 ERP 시스템의 각 분야의 담당자가 ERP 보안을 개념적으로 접근 할 수 있도록 할 것이다. 차후 연구 과제는 좀더 구체적인 모델링을 통한 ERP 보안 solution 개발이다.

Conceptual Data Modeling and Information Retrieval System Design (개념적 데이터 모델링과 정보검색 시스템 디자인)

  • The purpose of this paper is to show how conceptual data modeling can enhance current information retrieval (IR) systems. The conceptual database design provides for: 1) data mining capability to discover new knowledge based on the relationships between entities, and 2) integrating current separate databases into one IR system (e.g., integrating ISI Citation, a thesaurus, and bibliographic databases into one retrieval system) . Further, as new user requirements are unfolded, modifications of IR systems based on conceptual data modeling will be much easier to make than they were in the current IR systems because conceptual modeling facilitates flexible modifications. The enhanced Entity-Relationship (ER) model was employed in this study to develop conceptual schemas of IR data.

  • A recent increase of interests on the influence of 3D printing and low prices of 3D printers makes a high possibility of 3D printer adoption as a educational equipment in public education settings. The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy proposed '3D printing industry development strategies', and had pilot schools to include understanding of 3D printing concepts and practices in the primary, secondary and high schools' curriculum. However, even if 3D printers were provided in educational settings, the research on educational content and methods to properly react to this change is very limited. Therefore, this study reviewed various 3D modeling software because a modeling skill is a prerequisite skill to use 3D printers, and proposed a creative design spiral based teaching content that can be incorporated in elementary school contexts.

  • In this paper, we propose an intrusion detection system(IDS) architecture which can detect and respond against the generation of abnormal traffic such as malicious code and Internet worms. We model the system, design and implement a simulator using OPNET Modeller, for the performance analysis on the response capacity of alert information in the proposed system. At first, we model the arrival process of alert information resulted from abnormal traffic. In order to model the situation in which alert information is intensively produced, we apply the IBP(Interrupted Bernoulli Process) which may represent well the burstiness of traffic. Then we perform the simulation in order to gain some quantitative understanding of the system for our performance parameters. Based on the results of the performance analysis, we analyze factors which may hinder in accelerating the speed of security node, and would like to present some methods to enhance performance.

Using Simulation for a Didactic Transposition of Probability (시뮬레이션을 활용한 확률 지식의 교수학적 변환)

  • Several previous studies suggested that simulation could be a main didactic instrument in overcoming misconception and probability modeling. However, they have not described enough how to reorganize probability knowledge as knowledge to be taught in a curriculum using simulation. The purpose of this study is to identify the theoretical knowledge needed in developing a didactic transposition method of probability knowledge using simulation. The theoretical knowledge needed to develop this method was specified as follows : pseudo-contextualization/pseudo-personalization, and pseudo-decontextualization/pseudo-deper-sonalization according to the introductory purposes of simulation. As a result, this study developed a local instruction theory and an hypothetical learning trajectory for overcoming misconceptions and modeling situations respectively. This study summed up educational intention, which was designed to transform probability knowledge into didactic according to the introductory purposes of simulation, into curriculum, lesson plans, and experimental teaching materials to present didactic ideas for new probability education programs in the high school probability curriculum.
